Nice resort walk to mall or trolley was convenient. Most outdoor activities including pool was for younger age kids. Pool is quite shallow,

This was a surprisingly adorable location. I didn't delve too deep into the pictures when I made the reservation, this has a quint 50s vibe going on. The grounds were immaculate, staff was very friendly. We had a small issue with the bathroom but it was rectified as soon as it was mentioned to the front desk. The coffee shop can get a little busy in the mornings and there are no vending machines available, other than that there are zero complaints!

When we arrived at our room, the door was stiff and difficult to open, requiring considerable force to close properly. Afterward, my kids checked the bathroom and found trash in the bin. I called the front desk, but they told me they couldn't help since it was full. I felt pretty disappointed, especially since I had high expectations for this hotel. I believed it would be a great experience, but I ended up quite let down. The room wasn't as comfortable as I anticipated, and I even noticed it was somewhat dirty. Overall, it just wasn't our day. I don't remember exactly which part of the hotel our room was in, but I understand mishaps happen. I might give it another try in a different section of the hotel to see if there’s a difference. But overall, that day was simply disappointing for us.

Kelly, the bartender at Arlo bar, was absolutely amazing. It was very understaffed she was just a bartender, and she turned into our waitress truly appreciate Kelly. Mike at the monkey bar was very attentive kind and took great care of us. Appreciate him.

Took an hour to check in. Once we’re in our room, we couldn’t sleep because there was a sand volleyball court right outside our door, literally and kids and people playing on it super late at night. Absolute joke the room seemed like it was 50 years old and needed to be renovated.
They charge you for parking then you need to scan your room key to get out of the parking garage. The room key wouldn’t work to let me out so I have to use my credit card. It was charged additional $72 for exiting the garage and I am still fighting with them to get that refunded. Overall this place is terrible. Rooms are old super busy and loud.

Check in and parking were a nightmare. Stood in line for about 40 minutes to check in, traffic around the registration area was an absolute zoo. The lobby stayed full with a huge line for check in well into the later evening.

Pool is full of kids...I understand it's a family resort, but the other Regency Pool doesn't have a spa, so you have to deal with the partying crowd and lots of children squealing and splashing if you want to sit in the hot tub. They have kid's movies in the pool from 8-10pm so no real opportunity for an adults only, quieter swim in the evening either. We skipped swimming all together. I think they showed have adults only hours or add a spa to the smaller pool area.

The rooms were nice, spacious...the resort is huge, it's just not what we expected. Thought it was going to be more of an upscale Town & Country vibe...but it's giving more Disney World resort centered around families with little kids, and 20 somethings looking to cram into 1 room and party.

Never get discouraged by other peoples reviews, we chose Town and Country for the aesthetics, proximity and to be honest the slide since our little one was uber excited for this trip. We traveled to San Diego for a graduation and made a mini vacay out of it, Lego Land followed by our stay at this resort. Everything from check in to check out was flawless. Only regret is we didn’t get to the bar until last call and we instantly regretted it since the tequila sunrises’ we ordered were exceptional. The facility is well maintained, staff is ever so helpful and our little one spent all day Saturday in the heated pool. The coffee at the Market was perfect and pastries were a good send off as we departed. We will definitely be returning here next time we come down to San Diego.

The pool slide is fun for the children, the restaurants provided good food and service. The rooms were clean enough but the buildings are very old and musty. It looks cute and fresh on the website, but it's like putting lipstick on a pig, they really need to upgrade not just the façade and furnishings but the infrastructures, better ventilation, better air conditioning, redo the windows and doors. Find a way to rid the rooms of old building musty smells

Fun resort style hotel with music playing at pool. Nic bar at lobby with indoor/outdoor seating. Pool is nice but it is way too small for such a large hotel. The pool was definitely past any legal capacity, no chairs inside so we were not able to use it. Rooms are ok, but there were lots of spider webs in corners - needed some cleaning. there was clothes hanging all over the rails outside. Walls in rooms are so thin, people walking outside sounded like they were in your room, you could hear every word. There is also an additional resort fee we had to pay even though we were not able to use the pool due to overcrowding. We only stayed one night.

The pool was fun, our kids enjoyed the slide. We stayed in the Regency tower and our room was okay, except the sheets on one bed smelled like pee. The bottles in the shower with soap and shampoo were all completely empty though.
The food and drinks were good and the front desk was very nice.

I absolutely loved the staff, the check-in process and the many restaurants/bars they had. Our room was great too except low water pressure. But still great. It was a little “busy” for me with all the little kids running around and a bit noisy though. They weren’t kidding when it said family friendly. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

For the price and location and pool area and restaurants this place was perfect…there was just two things that really upset me. The first being that there was major construction going on right next to our room. If we had been warned about that I would have just chosen a different room in one of the other towers. The next thing is, I’m a solo mom traveler and I didn’t see a single luggage cart and the parking lot is far from the rooms so I had to make several trips.

When we went to breakfast at 10 am we were asked if we had a reservation, and were the ONLY customers in the place. We didn't want another $45 breakfast at 10 and wanted to buy a quick breakfast Monday and went to your market where bananas are $3.50 each.. CRAZY

My granddaughter really enjoyed it, there were many other kids there that she played with. The pool was over packed, not sure if it a day thing or conference. They had food there to order/patio, coffee, drinks, or just hang out. Our room was good, loved the theme.

First off, this is my favorite property. I stayed here last year and completely fell in love with the view. So when my fiancé asked what I wanted to do for our anniversary, I said I wanted to come back here. We drove 12 hours for this trip specifically because of how much I loved this place.

When I checked in, the lady at the front desk was very kind. I told her it was our anniversary and she gave us a $50 food credit. We checked in a little early, and I explained that the main reason I came back was for the view. She told me the rooms I wanted were not clean yet, but she offered another room in a different tower with a pool view. It was not what I expected.

After getting to the room, the view was not what I expected, so I called the front desk and spoke with a man named Jason. Unfortunately, the entire interaction went downhill from there.

Jason was rude, condescending, and argumentative from the moment he got on the phone. He repeatedly told me that because I booked through a third party, I “got exactly what I booked” and basically implied it was my fault for “trying to save money” instead of booking directly through the hotel. Instead of trying to help, he argued with me the entire conversation.

I explained that I drove 12 hours specifically for the view and simply asked if we could be transferred to the room type I originally wanted. He told me it would cost an additional $60. I explained that the front desk agent had already mentioned moving us at no charge.

It definitely is a family hotel! Complete with allllll the kids that do not have parental control/supervision.
We stayed Memorial Day weekend, was “controlled” until it was nighttime and apparently many adults just didn’t want to parent anymore? Idk but there were many fights, throwing glass off the balconies (ALOT), and police called.
Idk how “family friendly” that is but I definitely won’t be coming back due to that fact. We don’t do that in my family. I saw kids just tearing apart signs.
Anyways, the pool opens at 7AM, there was not ONE single worker in there Monday morning (Memorial Day) to clean the pool until 7:20 and even that he was only picking up towels. It wasn’t til 10:20am that all the old food(that the birds didn’t get to), to go boxes, towels, and just literal trash was all picked up. INSANE
I have never stayed at a hotel that didn’t start cleaning at 7am.
Do better, control better, clean better.

Overall our stay was great. It is an older hotel/resort that is more newly renovated. Our room was very nice, spacious, and had a great balcony that overlooked the pool. Lots of things nearby in walking distance which was a plus. The on-site restaurant (Lapper) was delicious as well.
The only down side was the condition of the pool area. There was food/drink/trash left lying everywhere in the pool and hot tub area. Some that even fell into the hot tub. Lots of unsupervised kids in the hot tub. It was Memorial Day, however I did not see staff picking up any of the trash. Seagulls got into the left out food as well, causing them to swarm the pool.
Overall I really liked our stay here, but the pool/hot tub situation took away a star for me.

The rooms suck, beds are terrible. The bathroom was very small.

We enjoyed our stay at Town and Country Resort. They have a lot of activities for kids that my children loved. Service was a little slow when we were waiting for food and drinks at the pool but it was Memorial Day weekend so all things considered it wasn’t too bad. Easy checking in and checking out. Would definitely come stay here again.

The amenities are a shock when you walk through the front door…..wow factor

Thousands of 6 to 15 year-old girls and their moms and costume suitcase pushing dads descended on the property for a dance convention. Apparently the fifth one in 2026. Girls turning cartwheels on the lawn, 25 10 -year-olds in the hot tub and the wait for the elevator to the rooms was awful.

We ended up walking multiple times up and down for the fifth floor room. Certainly not what I had planned on spending $450 a night for.

Before booking, call the hotel and see if there’s another on-site convention because you’ll want to book a different hotel if there is…….

The amenities are nice, but can’t withstand all of those people all on the same schedule.

The DJ is way too loud and way too close to the monkey bar that you can’t even have a conversation. The staff at the monkey bar are slow.

Had to return to the front desk multiple times because they didn’t activate all of the room keys they gave us and they didn’t give us parking access on the keys.

The rooms are a standard hotel room. Small and old if you are in the towers. Ours did not have a balcony and was the furthest walk from the main pool.

There are dozens of service charges and taxes added to the bill for San Diego County and the hotel.

I just cannot recommend this place for adults looking for a nice getaway.

Weve been to this resort twice now, we do enjoy it. The restaurants are a little pricey but thats to be expected at a resort, there is a mall behind the resort in walking distance with some good options for food to!. My kids love the pool area & with the waterslide it is a fun extra & the lawn games/activities they do is great! The rooms feel a little small but decently clean , the beds/pillows are comfy, my only real absolute worst thing I hate about the rooms is their shower set up in the bathroom it does not have a closing door or curtain its only half covered by glass & then open so especially with kids the entire bathroom floor just gets absolutely soaked & it is just so gross to have a soaking wet bathroom floor, I kept requesting extra towels to keep putting all over the floor/wiping up the floor. Its just an ick bad design in my opinion. The staff is very nice & helpful.

Great location, rooms are comfortable and clean. The bed is awesome. Shower is great, too. Awesome water pressure and got hot immediately. There is no hair dryer! Make sure to bring yours if you use one. Plenty of space and plugs. Balcony was lovely, too. It can get loud though if there are a lot of kids in the pool. I didn’t use the pool, but it’s big! Really nice hotel. Would totally stay again.

Most of the staff were really nice, and the text feature to get help and support is great! We enjoyed the pools and overall feel of the hotel, but the hallways are outdoors and sound echoes a bit. We had loud people above us who were up very late at night, so we had to contact the front desk two nights in a row. There was also an issue with our bathroom door, which didn't close all the way.
