We stayed at the B Ochanomizu for 4 nights, and for us, it was the perfect location. Within easy walking distance of Akihabara and several different train lines, it made it incredibly convenient to get around the city. We even walked to Tokyo station in 25 minutes (to explore, there are lots of transit options)
The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the hotel even had a free coffee machine and often little snacks as well. The rooms were a good size (keeping in mind that space is a premium in this city) and we loved the king-size bed. The water pressure was excellent, and we took regular advantage of the free tea. I would absolutely stay here next time I'm in Tokyo!

We booked the two twin size beds because it allowed us to have a slightly larger room for two people. We were able to store all our luggages under the bed. There was a large bench area, mini fridge, kettle. I wish there was a closet area instead there were a few hangers provided. Train station, familymart and coffee shops were just a few steps away.

My only complaint is that the room was quite dusty - curtains, top of the headboard and around the windows.

The hotel is in a good location for transport links. We were able to travel around tokyo with ease. The hotel is in good condition and is very clean. Staff members were very friendly and even allowed us to check in early because they saw our children were very tired. The free coffee at reception was a nice touch. The room was very small and had no storeage space but i found this to be normal in Japan.

The staff were exceedingly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small (expected in Tokyo), but it felt like we were getting to experience life in Tokyo for an extended stay here. It became a core part of our memories made here. You’re very close to Awajicho station (2min walk to exit/entrance A5) and maybe five minutes from Shin-Ochanomizu with a few others just a little further away. About a 10 minute walk into Akihabara as well!

The neighborhood was very cute and quickly felt like home. You have a bunch of great options for food and drinks close by. Great if you’re looking for an area that is calm and tranquil on your vacation.

The staff here are all awesome and very helpful! Our room was always stocked with ammenities that we needed and cleaned very well each time.

The hotel is in walking distance to public transport and there are convenience stores nearby for anything you need.

The room is small but cozy. It was a great stay for us while we were in Tokyo!

This hotel was great for our family. The room with two beds are quite spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. Its clean and has a modern design. The kids loved the free donuts in the lobby. One thing that can be improved is probably the addition of more washer and dryer since there is only one. The location is walkable to the center of Akihabara but also far enough that its quiet around the hotel.

Great little hotel. Room is small but that’s pretty much most hotels in Tokyo. Dry clean and friendly staff. Also free coffee and donuts in lobby for your enjoyment. The area is quiet and has several metro within walking distance of just a few minutes. Stayed here twice and would book again!

We stayed here for a week and had three rooms. The staff was friendly. The property was well maintained and was very close to several subway stops. The furthest one was a 10 minute walk to the JR station but there's literally a subway stop 1 block away from this hotel that you'll likely need more often than the JR.

Food options around the hotel are neither great nor horrible, but you're a train stop away from major areas with better options.

The couple small things that I thought could be better were: 1) the bathroom doesn't vent/dry out without the door open. and it smells moldy as a result. You can air it out easily into the room but then the room is super humid from using the shower and you have to open the window or front door to vent the entire room. 2) the daily snack they offer seems to have been reduced from what is on their site. The site shows things like croissants, donuts, and other treats, but it was the same each day we were there and was just mini donuts that we didn't find that appetizing and 3) the desk is very small in the room. It's just big enough for a laptop really without ethernet connections. So you are dependent on the wifi - which worked fine for us. But if you are doing something high bandwidth, you won't find a connection here. And it would be very hard to have a book open or second screen to do work here. You'd have to go to the main lobby to do that, as several guests were doing throughout the week.

Very good hotel!! The staff was very helpful with all our questions. They also have luggage services meaning they help you to send your luggage to your next hotel or to the airport. Just remember that you need to send the luggage 2 days in advance to your flight date. Also the hotel is super close to the Awajicho exit 5.
This station is part of the private metro lines (so JR pass doesn’t work) but it has direct connection with Tokyo Station, therefore it is very convenient. The rool was very comfortable.

Fabulous hotel for the money and great location

The hotel is very nice. The WiFi service was bad so definitely rent a pocket WiFi at the airport for your stay. It is VERY conveniently located, in a great neighborhood and easy access to popular train lines. The breakfast coupons are definitely worth buying as the offerings rotate daily and the hours are great. There are no English channels on the tv, and thermostats are tricky to work, but I would absolutely stay here again.

The room is not as big as expected from its price and photos. Almost the same as Toyoko-inn or similar ones. Wi-Fi is unstable and is disconnected often.

Great hotel close to Akihabara 'Electric City

We stayed at The B Ochanumizu for 7 days and enjoyed it. Super friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and they provide you with most toiletries, so no need to bring those. The room was compact, but was the perfect space as most of the day we were out. We found we were very central and the Owachicho train station was just a 2-3min walk away, which is only 2 stops away from Tokyo where all lines connect. It was comforting returning to the hotel at the end of the day, where we knew we'd be coming back to a very safe, secure and clean home away from home.

The room is barely large enough to open your luggage unless you put it on the bed.
Bed is rock hard.

First impressions were:
Quiet, Clean, Friendly/Helpful staff members and very accommodating. The area is quiet with plenty of stores along with several train stations for both JR and non JR pass holders. Walking distance to Akihabara which was amazing.
Did not op in for the breakfast as it was not a priority especially with all the different restaurants in the area, we got up and started our adventure early.

Downfall:
As you can imagine, rooms are small so was a little uncomfortable for two people. They had a laundry room on site available, only problem is that if you use both the washer right after the dryer it may take longer to dry everything.

Other than that this hotel, its staff and are was amazing and i would definitely recommend it to anyone who visits Japan.

Nice hotel in great location.

Although we were only at the hotel when sleeping, it was always very comfortable and clean. The staff were always friendly and did their best to communicate with me and my friends in English. The location of the hotel was perfect as every main area of Tokyo we wanted to go to was always a 10-20 min subway ride. Overall it was a great experience.

Location was excellent, right outside of the Awajicho subway station on the Marunouchi line, then a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is slightly off the beaten track which makes it very quiet. Handy to all the major sites including the Imperial Gardens, Ginza, Ueno, Asakusa and Tsukiji fish market with short metro rides.

There are about 2 stations very near to this hotel, and there are a few cafes and a family mart nearby. Akihabara is walking distance which is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and nice. Occasionally the wifi can be a bit slow.

A nice modern hotel in a convenient location (2 subway stops from the main Tokyo station, 3 from Ginza). Rooms are compact but not tiny. Staff are friendly, and the espresso machine in the foyer is a nice touch. The only negative was the WiFi speed, which was rather slow.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Location was perfect for us, only a few minutes walk to Akihabara station which is perfect for manga lovers and many other things.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, they let us check in earlier and also kept all our luggages for the whole day as we had a late flight.
The room was of a good size and also very nice and clean! Same for the bathroom which had everything we needed.
We paid for the breakfast and don't regret it at all, it was lovely and with a wide variety of choice.
Would definitely stay there again!

Promised a Non-Smoking room, Beds Hard

I was promised a Non-Smoking room and when I arrived, none was available. I cancelled another reservation because this was suppose to be Non-Smoking I was placed in a smoking room. Thought I could possibly get a late check out for the problem...NO WAY wanted me to pay 1500 yen($15) for an hour. Got to the room, beds & room were OK size for Tokyo, but beds were Hard as a rock! View...a brick wall 2 feet away. Hard to find at night, but come morning was a good location. Staff later brought by a air purifier/humidifier to help will room smell. Breakfast was not worth it.

I ordered \"Non smoking\".

When I arrived this hotel and checked in,
a staff asked me to stay in a smoking room.
I asked her to confirm my reservation and made some conversation. Finally, she said that I don't have any non smoking room because our room is full of customers. In spite of I reserved non smoking room and also prepaid the hotel fee. Unfortunately, I spent uncomfortable two nights. What the hell was that?
I never use this hotel again.

Nice hotel - avoid Expedia

Nice hotel, breakfast good for price. Beds VERY hard. Location good and variety of metro/jr lines will get you most places direct. Close to ski shops if you are shopping before a trip.
Expedia description for room being suitable for 2 adults and 2 children is incorrect. Expedia extremely unhelpful in resolving this.
I would stay at the hotel again but I would not use Expedia again. There customer service is very poor.

Super nice experience

I was only living there for one night... first the location is good, the closest metro station is only 2 mins from the hotel, if yo wanna take JR it takes less than 10 mins to the Ochanomizu station.

The free breakfast has a large variety and delicious. I especially love the green tea flavoured bread and the cooked egg... the yolk is still half-melted. Bravo.

The hotel staff are super nice and helpful as well. Can't get any better.

PS. I am not writing on a paid-basis. This hotel is REALLY NICE!
