Very clean, if small, room. Provided phone sockets, extension leads, toiletries, PJs, hairdryer, brush and toothbrush and paste, kettle...everything you could need. Friendly and helpful staff. Individual cosmetic and drinks sachets, and plastic packaging on individual items mean it's not super eco-friendly but that was not the most important thing. 3 mins from metro station!

A hotel in central parts of Tokyo, but in a quiet alley. The lobby is in the -1 floor. Overall a good average hotel. The rooms were small, but newly renovated. They dont offer breakfast, but there are a few cafes you can go to very near, so not a problem.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. The room was very comfortable and a good size for a solo traveler. The hotel does not offer a restaurant, but there are plenty of eating options with walking distance. The reception is in the basement level and from there you take the lift to you room. I found the hotel very comfortable and good cake for money. The area is great and well connected to transport.

Stayed here with my friend for a quick trip in Tokyo. The hotel was conveniently located with the train station nearby, as well as restaurants and convenience stores. It was a safe area and quieter than the commonly tourist areas, but close enough you could easily go to any nearby city. The room itself was small for two people but that’s usual for Asia. With our bags it was a tight squeeze but we made it work. The bathroom was decent space, and the bed was quite comfortable. I appreciated the fluffy comforter rather than a blanket that most places opt for. We wish the tv had a service on it so we could watch shows or movies. Also loved the mini fridge and the ac unit. It was eco friendly where you had to have your key card in the slot to turn on the lights and ac, and when we came in from a day out the room would still be cold despite the air being off. They also had a tea kettle which was great for making late night snacks, a microwave downstairs, and phone chargers in case you needed them. The staff were friendly everytime we saw them and I loved the option to take your own toiletries and pajamas to reduce waste rather than them be supplied in the room each day. They cleaned the room everyday which was nice since it got messy quickly. Overall great stay besides our lack of view from the room.

The staff was excellent! The front desk staff helped locate a restaurant that could accommodate allergies and was helpful with every request. I enjoyed having an air purifier in the room which was very clean and a larger size than other options I was considering. The location is just off a main street so was a bit quieter while being very close to Jimbocho subway station for ease of connecting to the rest of the city. We enjoyed walking to the gardens of the imperial palace and found the neighbourhood very safe. I highly recommend Villa Fontaine and would be happy to stay here on my next visit!

I stayed at this hotel for the live concert at Tokyo dorm.
You can take a subway there yet it's about 15 minutes by foot.
There are enough convenience stores, cafes and restaurants nearby.
The room is small but pretty clean and updated. The downside was that there’s a hair left on the pillow and that there’s no instructions for the in-room safety.
They don’t have a smoking area so if you smoke this hotel is not for you.

We stayed only 1 night but would stay longer in we would know about it earlier ( we had booking done in more expensive place that is not better ). Only thing that I would recommend is to give guests water , either bottles or even better a water station.

Concierges were very helpful. Check in and check out was extremely smooth even for foreigners. Not much in the way of amenities but that doesn't really matter when you're so close to the metro and local amenities.

Great location, right in a neighborhood with tons of bars and restaurants.

First of all, cleanliness is not an issue at all here. As i had hoped from a Japanese hotel, everything was spotless. The stafg was very friendly, and spoke more than good enough English. The neighborhood is a bit quiet, but there are plenty of good food options around.

Its a bit of a walk to Akihabara, but not so long that I ever felt taking a train was necessary.

Obviously, compared to a standard American hotel, the room itself is small. However, unless you plan on exercising in your room, this will not be an issue, even for a tall (6' 3\") person like me.

The hotel staff were super friendly and the hotel provided extra toiletries and coffee/juice in the mornings for free. The room was pretty small but that's pretty typical for Tokyo. Perfect location for first-time visitors in central Tokyo just next to the huge Chidorigafuchi national park (actually there seem to be few parks mixed together there). Stayed in Jimbocho district which has a great atmosphere - lots of new and used bookstores, and tons of delicious restaurants. The hotel room is super cosy with a new furniture, and also has that fancy toilet seat with heater and everything, which seems to be some sort of a standard in Japan :)

This is a very convenient hotel near Jimbocho Statation, where many restaurants are located with a great variety of choice. Rooms are small but come with all amenities. Breakfast is a minus. They provide \"box breakfast\", with two sandwiches and a yogurt in it. I had the same breakfast for two days and were not very happy with it.

It's a clean and relatively centrally located hotel. Small as expected for the price and location. Has pretty much everything you need. Lots of stores and nightlife a short walk away up the street to Otemachi. The CVS 5 min away have a lot of cheap supplies.

My friend and I shared a double room and it was just big enough, I wouldn't recommend staying like this for long term. It's pretty good for just a weekend however.

Pleasant stay. Hotel is close to the subway station, although took me a while to find the hotel... Room is a little small, but comfortable and clean. Hotel breakfast is non-exist, but had a breakfast place nearby. It is Tokyo, so I don't actually need breakfast at the hotel.. The surrounding area is quiet, had a very good ramen place on the way to subway station. Overall, would recommend to people traveling to Tokyo.

Strategic location within two-minutes walk to the nearest metro. Easy metro access from haneda airport with only one station change at Mita. Room is surprisingly small for value but this is Tokyo, can't expect more. Room facilities are really great. Staff is friendly. One advice: Forget about the breakfast, no need to pay in addition for that.

Both bathroom and beds are very clean. No unpleasant smell at all. Staff have good English and are helpful. Room is not as small as other Japanese hotels. Jimocho is a good and quiet suburb. A little bit far from JR stations (10 minutes walk) - no problem for us as we don't have much luggage.

Had a great to,e staying here rooms are compact which is normal, but friendly and helpful, amazingly quite, thought we were the only nes staying there. Beds comfy, amazing toilet , even had a heated mirror in the bathroom so after you have a shower there's a clear mirror, brilliant. Literally 2 mins to the metro, about 9 mins to Tokyo central station by metro and was easily accessible to all the great areas Tokyo has to offer. Would I stay again, definitely yes, absolute bargain.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly and the place was very clean with an abundance of amenities, as well as free juice, coffee and tea at the lobby. Hotel wasn't overly difficult to find and is quite close to places like Tokyo station and Akihabara station by train. It's also only a few minutes walk from Jimbocho station. Or if you were like us and wanted to use JR passes, you could even walk slightly further to the JR Suidobashi station which also isn't too far away (maybe a 10 minute walk). WiFi was great and fast. Place was a little tight and cramped though. But not unusual for Tokyo living spaces. Overall a rather pleasant and comfortable stay.

Our Conference Stay at Villa Fontainequie

Our conference was only five blocks from the hotel. We found the staff (our 2:00 a.m. check-in and keeping our bags all day the last day before our evening flight) so very helpful. They could not get a taxi during the typhoon, but loaned us very large umbrellas. We had the usual size room, somewhat larger than other Japanese visits, but very small for our colleagues who were really surprised. It was very quiet and the air conditioning was wonderful.

We can't thank the efforts of the staff to help us find good restaurants and make our way through the city even though they did not speak much English. They were always so very able to give us good answers.

The hotel is in a very handy position and right next to the metro, so this makes it a very good base. The local shops and store within two blocks is excellent also. good food, good convenience stores and local shops. The staff at the hotel were very helpful but really did struggle with English which was frustrating at times. The room was cleaned daily and was spotless. The breakfast was terrible and being there for 5 days i didn't bother after day 1. and small box of sandwiches and a tray you zap in the microwave was a joke, they didn't have a kitchen or dining facility but the place is surrounded by restaurants and eateries, I am sure they could strike up a deal with one of those places for their hotel guests. All in all you get what you pay for and it was to expensive for Tokyo. For a roof over your head at night ok. Also no wifi in the rooms and the only place to use a computer was in the very tiny lobby, major inconvenience in this time of technology.

I booked the hotel as I would visit Budoukan for a live. The hotel is within 2 minutes' walk from the Jimbochou Metro Station and it takes you 10 to 12 minutes of walk to Budoukan (actually one metro station away but you can choose to walk to save some money, along the road there're many great second hand book stores which is the feature of that area). There's also cheaper options of JR routes from Narita to Jimbochou. Hotel itself is like any other small business hotels in Japan. small but neat.

Hotel was a little hard to find located on a side street in quite (for Tokyo) Jimbocho. It is a 7 minute walk from Suidobashi station and and is very close to lots of antique stores, book stores and music stores. The staff spoke a little English and I spoke a little Japanese so interacting was no problem. The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and furnished with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable and the room was air conditioned. Breakfast was not bad. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and loved exploring this part of Tokyo.

Great base from which to explore Tokyo

This hotel is very conveniently placed barely two minutes walk from exit A5 of Jimbocho metro station, and the area is full of excellent restaurants and convenience stores, and a twenty-four hour internet cafe, and it's even just a half hour walk from the Imperial Palace, so it's a great base from which to explore Tokyo.
The room and hotel were very clean. We had a smoking room, so it smelt of cigarette smoke, but with a short time of the air conditioning on, or the window open, you soon stopped noticing it. The room was also small, and the window had frosted glass so there was no view out of our room... of the wall the hotel is built right next to! I didn't mind - it's a Tokyo thing.
I didn't ever have the hotel breakfast so I can't comment on that (but if you don't like it, like I say you're surrounded by great restaurants and stores).
The staff didn't speak much English, but even tourism office staff in Japan won't speak English, so you shouldn't rely on that if you intend to travel to Japan, however they were extremely helpful, and friendly. I asked them where the nearest kaiten sushi place was, and they looked up the internet, a phone book, rang a friend and even printed and showed me on a map. Unfortunately Tokyo addresses are notoriously difficult for even Tokyoites to decipher, so maps rarely help, but the staff were very helpful and pleasant, even down to cleaners wishing you a nice day as you stroll out.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay in it again.

Great hotel - small rooms

Loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Fontaine Jimbocho. Staff were very courteous, the location was great, just two minutes walk to the subway and about 10 minutes to the JR line. The only warning we would have is that the rooms are VERY small. Nowhere to put your clothes or suitcases. The bed is against the wall, but comfortable once you are in it. Lovely bathroom with all sorts of toiletries and amenities. Dozens of little restaurants within 10 minutes walk, a lot have only Japanese language menus, but seem to be very helpful to foreigners. The hotel breakfast comes in a box, but was sufficient to start off the day. Would definitely stay again, though might try the twin rooms which are a little bigger.

Great location, friendly staff

Very nice and clean hotel very close to Jimbocho metro station. Location with many shops and restaurants Hotel staff was very friendly and useful. I would stay again.

Nice Boutique hotel

It was a nice clean hotel, it was typical small Japanese size. Breakfast pack nothing to rave over, the hotel staff spoke some English which was helpful.
