This place was perfect for my family of 4. The rooms were adequate size. The showers and toilets were always clean, good water pressure for the shower. The front desk was 24hours and very willing to help when we needed them. Their english was excellent and they were easy to understand. The cafe was open early, had excellent coffee and breakfast items available for us. We ate supper there twice as well - their food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. The outdoor seating was wonderful as well. The location is perfect - really close to A LOT of good food and close the Tokyo Metro. Walkable area. Just very very pleased with this hostel experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and convenient. Family of 5 stayed in the family room. Room was spacious enough, Beds and pillows were a bit hard, but that’s Japan. Free breakfast was a big positive, although basic still great. Close walk to station, restaurants and convenience stores. Only negative was we were on the 5th floor of the annex building that does not have a lift.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at Sakura Hotel. My family and I felt safe and comfortable.
The room cleaning service was provided every day. The Breakfast included unlimited toast, coffee, tea and soup pf the day. For us was perfect. Around the area were McDonald’s, convenient stores like 7-11 and smart family.
We will definitely comeback to Sakura Hotel.

We loved staying at this hotel. The check-in was quick and easy. We rented a couple towels for just 100 yen each. We were worried when we first arrived because the room was super hot but when we cranked up the AC it cooled right down. The hallways are not air conditioned but that wasn't a big deal. We loved spending each morning eating some of the included toast and jam in the cafe and planning our day. The hotel was very close to the Jimbocho station which has multiple subway lines and is in the center of Tokyo so very convenient to get anywhere.

The property was very well located, and very affordable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Only caveat is that our room was quite small for the 5 people we were, and that the AC wasn't the best (it was very hot when we were there). Other than that, this hotel is fantastic value. I definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in Tokyo.

Beds are very squeaky and noisy at night, also the bathrooms are a little smelly. However the staff are excellent and friendly, the free breakfast is great and it’s got a fantastic location not far from the most popular areas of Tokyo by public transit. Despite the minor inconveniences I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here at the very beginning and very end of our stay in Japan. We ended up having to check in a day late due to a plane delay, but we were able to message the front desk and they agreed to hold our room (there is usually a 2-day minimum stay).

The cafe on site is comfortable and the offered drinks are great for when you need a pick-me-up. We did not order from the cafe for food. Breakfast is toast w/ toppings and soup. It's not a lot, but it's nice to have.

The rooms are small, but the beds are comfy and I didn't notice any loud neighbors. We were right across from the showers both stays which was great. The on-site laundry is in the basement and I used that early one morning (300Y for washer and 100Y/30min on dryer).

Staff spoke good English and was happy to help with whatever small questions we had.

Neighborhood was quiet and very close to a station and plenty of food options. We got curry late one night and conveyor belt sushi another.

Good place to camp and explore. Reasonably priced for Tokyo average sized room has a nice vibe staff are very helpful. In fact we needed to add a night due to Typhoon jebi the hotel was booked but the on call manager rang around till he found us a place. Rooms are tidy, sheets clean and bathrooms are shared. Saw a few cockroaches outside the hotel after typhoon
But nothing at all inside.

Basic breakfast with toast coffee eat as much as you can with no juice refill. Close to the subway take A3 gate for Jimbocho.

Stayed here for the second time, and nothing has changed in how good this hotel/hostel is. The cafe is family friendlyand caters very well to the young crowd. It also happens to have one of the best selections of beer in Tokyo. Covenintly located to visit most of touristy as well as experience spots. The staff is very helpful if you ask for help.

This is only the last resort

Single room was more than 7,000 yen for dark and small room.
If you can, go to Toyoko-Inn or Apa for the same room rate and much better.
Breakfast was included but it was basically toast bread,coffee and juice.
Wi-Fi is so weak and some times useless.
I do not recommend this place to any body.
You feel so miserable by staying here.

The floors were well arranged with showers and bathrooms separated, sinks accessible in the the corridors. The dorm rooms were quite small with no luggage storage. The room I stayed in was horribly warm. There was a TV in it and someone watched it till 4 in the morning.

Cheap and Clean Hotel near central tokyo

Close to everything. We take long march everyday to see Ueno park and zoo ans Asakusa temple or go the other way to Tokyo Dome. Really Clean and that was a big plus. The staff is friendly and can talk english well. We take the breakfast option which is really cheap the price of a coffee and we use it exactly for that a coffee and tea and toast each morning. The hotel is really near the jimbocho station which is great yet not in a big alley or Night district so we didnt hear any scream or strange sound distracting us a night.

Nice Hostel if you are traveling on Budget.

Rooms are very small, we booked a room for 4 people and it was very small, we had no space to put our luggage or to barely stand in the same, we have stayed on hostel private rooms before and they are larger and with private bathroom, none of these rooms have private bathroom.
The beds are comfortable enough however they are old and squeak with every move. We couldn't make the air conditioner work properly (seemed on but wasn't really working).
There are toilets for women and for men on the same floor you are staying, they are always clean.
There are only 2 showers per floor which leads to them being always full on the morning and on the evenings.
Staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Overall is a nice hostel if you are traveling with friends on a budget and don't really care much about privacy and stuff. Very standard I guess, to be fair we haven't really stayed at many hostels. :)

As a family of 4 we have stayed in a room with 4 bunk beds, TV and conditioner. Beds were changed daily with super-soft dawn duvets and cotton kimonos plus slippers and little towels provided. Showers were near the room as well as toilets and wash basins. Remember to buy your socket adaptors. Basic breakfast was served between 5 am and 11 am. Laundry facilities with dryer with 100 yen coins. Staff were multilingual, young, fast and friendly with 24/7 customer care, just ask! Every request was sorted with a smile. Every advise for transport or local attractions, they are very knowledgeable and happy to guide and help you. Very central location. Close to many attractions and transport. Very lovely place to stay!

Imperial palace is within walking distance and train station is even closer, you are pretty much smack in the middle of the city while staying here.

Although I myself found it difficult to find at first, it was in a great area. I got a single room since I snore. The room was small but it was cozy and right across the hall from the toilet and around the corner from the sink and showers.

The room was cleaned every day and a bathrobe, hand towel and slippers were provided, a nice touch.

I would definitely stay at the Sakura Hotel again, as the place was in a great area with excellent curry restaurants in the area as well.

Nice Hotel Near the Center of Tokyo

I stayed here for 11 nights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and it was located in the quiet neighborhood of Jimbocho, just north of Tokyo's financial district. The Metro is very close where you can access the S, Z, and I lines from Jimbocho station. The weather was hot in Tokyo, but the AC unit in my room worked very well. The room cools down within minutes! The room was small, but that's to be expected for a budget hotel in Tokyo. The shower is directly across from the rooms. Never had to wait once. I highly recommend this hotel for budget travelers.

The room was kind of dirty, although housekeeping came daily to clean. It is an older hostel, so don't expect anything spectacular but the price! I don't like having to rent a towel even at $1 a day. I guess I am to used to the US rype of hotel? But I would stay here again simple because of the price.

Considering we'r in the middle of Tokyo, it's hard to find competing prices competing with the level this hotel offers. Still, it's a very basic setup and works fine. Would recommend for a younger travelling generation, not fitting for older couples or families, as you share showers & toilets with the rest of the occupants on your floor.

Overall, a perfect budget resolution in the middle of Tokyo.

I chose this hotel for the location (Kanda is famous for its number of used bookstores), so in that sense it was great - right in the middle of it and minutes from Tokyo Metro Jimbocho station. The rooms and setup reminded me of a student dorm. If you are used to that, it should be nothing new. The facilities are a little old but clean enough. The room light was a bit dark. Otherwise, the staff are friendly, the downstairs cafe is open 24 hours.

The first thing I notice that the location was quite good and very near a major subway station that interchange to many lines. The building was easy to find, although a more visible signage from nearby intersection will do even better. Reception open 24 hours, nice, and responsive, almost everyone that I met speak understandable english. Don't expect too much from the room and be forewarned that you need to bring all of your basic neccessities yourself, i.e. towel, toothbrush, etc. The area around is quite nice and comfortable. Overall, I recommend this accommodation to everyone.

The internet here was garbage. Yes, you connected to a router. No, you didn't receive functional internet. The internet speed was clocked at a staggering 0.12 Mbps on a Wednesday afternoon when nobody was around. That is slower than dial-up. Also, the pleace feels like a college dormitory for the dorkiest weirdos ever. Walls were dirty in room. All around mediocre.

Location was good and staff was nice, but that was about it. Didn't seem very clean. I'm glad I only stayed here one night. The sheets smelled weird and my blanket had stains on it. I was in the basement and I could hear noises from the heating system if that's what it was. Not impressed with this hostel

While the facilities in the room were basic (no ensuite, no cupboards, view of a wall 1ft away from the window), and the room tiny, the bed was very comfortable, and there was a tv and aircon machine. Definitely working on the theory that if you are staying in Tokyo you shouldn't be using the room for much more than sleep! The bedding was changed daily, and the shared bathroom facilities immaculately cleaned. There are also laundry facilities on site and free wifi. The staff are helpful and multilingual, and you are right in the centre of tokyo with quick access to transport and 24 hour convince stores. When we return to Tokyo we will definately stay here again, no need to try the rest when this place gave us everything we needed at a great price.

The room had barely enough space for luggage, and the breakfast was just bread and coffee/tea/OJ.

I got pink eye from the pillow, and was given a tiny facecloth to use as a towel. I ended up buying a towel at a local Daiso for 200 yen. \"Breakfast\" is really toast, soda or orange juice, and coffee. There is \"soup\" too, but it is awful and not worth drinking.
