Excellent hotel. Very high end and comfortable. I loved the kitchen. But I’m uncomfortable with high end computerized appliances. I did not like the bathtub and shower with a window. How wants to be seen while taking a shower. Our safe didn’t work, while we were there. Although I called the front desk and reserved a swim time. We were rudely interrupted by a man claiming that he had made a reservation for that time. His was on the books and ours wasn’t. A clear error on the part of someone. I didn’t not like the hotel lobby being on the 22nd floor. Very quiet, but very removed. The Ascot is for a special clientele. I would have loved it more if the lobby was on the first floor.
The pool was amazing. I’ve never seen a pool room so exquisite. The fitness center was equally amazing.

Hotel is located on the 22nd floor in the business area of Tokyo . Staff . service and access to restaurants was very convenient including direct access to the train station right from the building .

Our room was on the 29th floor . Rooms were clean, spacious and had stunning views of Tokyo downtown . Reservations for the pool were required which gives you and your family private access to one hr of the pool. !

They also gave a restaurant on site serving Singapore cuisine but we did not eat there .

A short walk away from the Imperial
Palace and close to Tokyo station and the high end Ginza shopping district, this place had it all .

We could not recommend this place more and will surely come back if we're to visit Tokyo again .

It is very conveniently located, on top of a five line Metro station. You just walk into the station instead of going out to the street. A bit hard to find the entrance if you arrive by taxi. You also have to realize that the Hotel lobby is on the 22nd floor!

Excellent hotel with good location

Super friendly and professional receptionist. They all speak very good English and that is not easy to encounter in Japan hotels.
Room and bathroom are very spacious and clean. We even have a kitchenette which includes a big fridge.
Location is excellent, subway is right below the hotel building . Definitely would go back again

Great location if you like a commercial seen as most of the area has businesses. There are some other fab hotels in the area, including The Four Seasons; pricy to stay but a great place to grab drinks and a bite.

Ascot does a wonderful job with sustainability support and has GREAT accommodations and room amenities. However, their breakfast is underwhelming and not worth the 4500 yen per person. The connected train station has plenty of coffee shops, quick bites and of course 7-Eleven to help you fill your stomach on your way out to your Tokyo experiences.

Also, their check in and check out process was super slow compared to more efficient and expedient service at other hotels like Keio and Candeo. They are busy trying to get folks to sign up for their ASR loyalty program which distracts from an optimized check in….IMO.

Rooms great. Location next to train so convenient. And Japanese service always gets an “A” for effort.

We booked Ascott for our first trip to Tokyo. We stayed in a 1 BR executive and it was extraordinary. Very spacious with a kitchenette, living and dining area, large BR and large bathroom and two Todo washlet rooms. There was ample closet and drawer space, so we could fully unpack and not live out of our suitcases. The bed was super comfortable, nice linens and pillows. We also appreciated all the amenities in the room - including full size bath products, coffee and water replenished each day. We had no real view from our room, but the location was convenient for getting around to all parts of the city as it has a direct connection to the Otemachi train station. And it was SO peaceful and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it! No bar in the hotel if that is important to you.

The bathroom floor mat was in the sink for some reason. There was a stain on the bedsheet. And there was hair in the sink. The front desk lady told me check out was 11, on the sheet it says 12. There was no help with bags, when we clearly needed it.

Even after studying all the reviews and YouTube videos, Ascott Marunouchi Hotel exceeded our expectations.
Front desk staff spoke fluent English!
My only suggestion before staying there would be to map walkable dining options (Particularly breakfast) Be realistic. Where are you going to eat? Might want to stop at a grocery store and make use of the full kitchen -even for a short stay.
After full days of exhausting sightseeing, the walk from Tokyo Station felt really long.
Awesome hotel. More so for long-term business accommodations.

Very good business hotel, in an excellent location

Ascott is an excellent hotel, very clean, and accommodations are like new. There is limited food availability, only offering breakfast and lunch. No room service. However, you can order food to be delivered, but you will need to figure that out by yourself. One of the TV’s in the room did not work. I discovered this late in the evening and did not report it as I did not want an engineer coming into my room late at night. To have the air conditioning (cool or heat) on, there is a bright light on the thermostat. This is annoying for sleeping. The bed is comfortable. The shower has excellent water pressure.

I travel a lot to Japan and Tokyo inparticular.
The original room Ascott offered had a view of the roof air conditionrs. At $1,000 per night this was absolutley unaccepatable. When asked to make a room change they rebooked us to a higher floor and up charged us $125.00 per night for the same room style.

Not sure if this is and Expedia problem or the hotel Ascott not liking Experdia.

Either way - I won't go back or rebook an Ascott Hotel.

Unfortunately the area just sucks, was not worth it and hotel wasn't cheap comparted to other areas. Although they did a good job, booking the hotel (as a tourist) was the #1 thing we would have changed about our trip

19 day stay in a 2 bedroom apartment plus a seperate studio on the 23rd level…..the only view we had was of the rooftop of the building next door. Although the master bedroom had a view of the building across the road. As it was a considerable length of time management should have provided us rooms on a much higher level.

Centrally located in heart of business district and only 10 minute walk to the Imperial Palace. Connected to the massive Tokyo underground network of shops, restaurants, and Subway/JR train lines through Exit C6b on the B1 level on the opposite elevator shaft of the Otemachi Park Station. Studio suite with ample space and amenities streamlined for business and couples desiring a luxurious but not fussy place. Staff is quite helpful. (Just a warning for the washer/dryer combo located within the unit - it does neither particularly well.)

The property is located at the commercial centre so the restaurants nearby are closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. I have booked a studio room.- the view is excellent and can see Mt Fuji. The room is cleapn and the condition is very good. One thing can be improved is the service of the staff. I dont have a feeling that they are welcoming you to stay at the hotel.

Spacious and Quiet in Tokyo

Beautiful decor and a very very spacious room (most room I've had in Japan!). The room offered beautiful views of Tokyo, was immaculately clean, and the reception and check-in and check-out was very efficient. The neighborhood around the hotel is very quiet and clean, and offered a more relaxed pace to Tokyo in comparison to staying in places like Shinjuku. I would definitely stay here again.

Phenomenal Hotel. We stayed there for 4 nights and the rooms were extremely clean, large, and comfortable. The hotel was difficult to find because it's reception is on the 18th floor but that is typical in Japan. Would also recommend their breakfast offerings in the hotel. Will definitely stay there again upon returning to Tokyo.

It’s the cleanest hotel in Tokyo. Great Service. Near train station. Great wifi, great room, not a typically Japanese size room. I have stayed at intercontinental ANA, Royal Park, Keio Plaza Premier, and so far Ascott is the best.

Overall Lovely Except for Breakfast

The staff was very professional and the entire property was clean and neat. My only complaint was the breakfast experience. It’s not worth what you spend for it. Also a half hour before breakfast is over, the waitstaff is already preparing for lunch. They are moving about about so much, it distracts you from the dining experience. We felt rushed. If the food matched the cost (more options or lower the cost) and the waitstaff waits to prepare for lunch, then this would have completely been a 5 star experience. I will definitely return and despite the breakfast I still recommend the Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo.

Spacious, lovely and clean... a home away from home. Highly recommend this for your Tokyo stay. The people were lovely and helpful, and they upgraded us upon arrival. It felt like an apartment with loads of closet space, and a second room with a dining and living area, two toilets, and a really really really good shower. I'll stay here everytime I'm back in Toyko. Its located in a business district which I personally like to get away from the hustle bustle, but is centrally located for Tokyo--so the big areas are still very accessible. 5/5 stars.

Fantastic location to high end restaurants, shops, office bldgs, 5star hotels, Imperial Palace Grounds & park, Easy & flat walking distance even with rolled luggage to Tokyo Station for hotel guests taking train, subway, bus services. Hotel is relatively new...appointments are high end. Only one dinner at hotel. Suggest adding few more entree choices.

Outstanding hotel. Lovely rooms. Great service. Well located near Tokyo station and Otemachi station. But in financial district so not much happening at night. We didn’t mind that, as it was quieter and there was plenty to find in Tokyo station, but will be an issue for some.

This is a phenomenal alternative to a standard hotel. Especially in a city like Tokyo. We spent three days in our apartment relaxing and enjoying all the sites activities in the surrounding area. Having a subway stop directly below the building made it extraordinarily convenient. Our room was spotless and extremely well-maintained. For just a little bit more money over a standard hotel room we had a small apartment with kitchen, laundry, living room, etc. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
