Do NOT book here. The strong smell of mold when you walk in is overwhelming. I immediately had my children return to the car. I cannot believe this hotel is allowed to operate. I honestly wouldnt give a homeless person a room here. The larger hispanic lady at the front
Desk was annoyed to have to speak to me, no refunds if you dont stay. Its a scam. It was an awful experience

Very disappointing stay. The room was not clean—the blanket looked dirty, the floors were unclean, and there was like mold in the bathtub. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, and this hotel did not meet it.

Rooms were clean and nice. TV reception wasn't the best but why are you just sitting in your room if you're at the beach? Breakfast was great! Location is not too far from everything. My only complaint, which isn't really a big deal, was not being able to check in 30 mins early cause the rooms weren't ready. I would use this hotel again.

The staff was rude the moment I walked into the door. It’s not at all what the pictures look like!!! It was unsanitary. The hotel smelled like there was some sort of sewage leak. There was an obscene amount of Mold. Don’t recommend

The rooms were very clean the beds were fresh And clean no bed bugs or hairs in the bed and smelled fresh. There were some stains on ceiling and around the doors. A/C was very nice and cold!! Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing!! The beach view was great on the balcony. I would highly recommend this property and I will most definitely be back here on my next vacation!

On arrival, I stood at the counter for about 5-8 minutes with awkward silence and no acknowledgment from the person behind the desk. When we went to our room, the air conditioning wasn’t working- we went down to the desk to talk to someone about it - the phone in the room wasn’t working so we couldn’t call down. She let maintenance know and said someone would be up. We waited an hour and no one came so we went back down to the desk. Someone else was working at this time- he said he told maintenance about the problem 2 days ago- he moved us to a room on the first floor-this room had air.
The room was poorly maintained. The hotel has three guest washers and dryers and they are all out of order. The breakfast was as it is in all the less expensive hotels. With so many options of less expensive hotels on the beach, I would go elsewhere and will not be returning to this one. There is no “hospitality “ from the workers, the hotel rooms are run down and obviously need decent maintenance. The lobby is bright and clean but deceiving for the rest of the hotel

It sufficed for what we needed it for which was just somewhere to stay overnight so we can catch our cruise in the morning. Recommendation is check-in, go to sleep, get out. Looking for anything more, this isn't the place for you.

This room gives me creepy movie vibes, bed mattress was sunk in , rusted tub/shower, curtains barely hanging on. Just was able to get 3/4 hours of sleep because of the vibe of the hotel ! Book at your own risk

We stayed the night before our cruise. The property was clean, and well maintained. We had a view of the water, that was across the street from our room. Continental breakfast and a walk along then beach started our day, in a fine fashion. We will stay again.

Pros: Good location, ok pool and hot tub, relaxing mint paint color, fair big breakfast. Cons: Saggy mattress, paint drops (or something white) on floors. Msg to owner: Assign one person to clean all the floor corners in every room one day and that would enhance/improve your ratings. Overall this was an OK place to stay awaiting our next day cruise.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The front desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. When I asked about the laundry machines not working, I was met with attitude instead of assistance. I also requested an extra pillow and was simply told “no” without any effort to accommodate or offer alternatives.

Additionally, the water was shut off from 12 PM to 3 PM, which was a major inconvenience. Rather than receiving an apology or any acknowledgment of the disruption, the response I got was a dismissive “anything else?” before they moved on.

For the price, this was unacceptable. I paid around $300 for two nights and expected at least basic service and amenities. Honestly, save your money or spend a little extra elsewhere for a much better experience.

Overall, the lack of customer service and consideration made this stay frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Me and my kids spent spring break here and let me tell you it was amazing. We had a balcony room adjacent to the sea wall. The staff were friendly and helpful with anything we needed the place was clean had some minor details that needed attention but over all a great place. The breakfast consisted of cereal, oatmeal, waffles original and texas shaped, toast, bagels, danishes, muffins, yogurt, and coffee, juice or milk. I was highly satisfied with my stay as well as the price. I'm already making plans to return next year.

The room smelled clean but there was a used cooking knife left on the window sill under the blind. The sheets felt gritty, and there was zero hot water in my room. The doors, sheet rock, hallway, etc., could use some repair all the way around. I'm sure it's hard with the weather (Harvey, in recent years), and it looked as though they were trying. The location was nice.

All caulking in bathroom looks like a three year old did. Sloppy and unsightly. The bath tub is totally rusted around and down the faucet area.
We would not go back there.

The place was very clean but soon as we got there had issues with my the door lever on my room door also room didn’t have a view as advertised on the add. Also the elevator was broken on our second day luckily they had another. Room had some mold in some corner. Breakfast was not bad could be better.

The only good thing was Anthony & being right across the street from the beach! Upon arriving at the hotel, I was unable to get in my door with the key. I had to physically use force with opening the door. Then the key stopped working so I had to go back downstairs to get the key reset. Then went back upstairs & I still couldn’t open the door. Anthony had volunteered to come up and help me get in my room. Once in the room, the refrigerator was off balanced, so it scrapped against the floor everytime we opened it. The signal was so bad and weak, only certain channels showed up to watch tv. The shower pressure was low and the shower curtain didn’t pull all the way around so water ended up on the floor. The vent was horrible. Partially open and rusted. Some of the bathroom towels that hadn’t been used had hair on them, so I called downstairs to see if cleaner towels could be brought up. The phone in the room did not work, so I had to call from my cellphone. They only had pool towels available. I went ahead and took them since they were cleaner than the towels we had. I loved the location of the hotel, but I won’t be returning.

Totally Disappointed- Entire Hotel is extremely outdated and in a desperate need op an upgrade. Floors n Room may be clean but Entire Hotel isn’t. I have read your reviews and unless we were booked into a different Hotel our experience was totally different. Had very little interaction with Staff - are ok but not welcoming on arrival. Breakfast is barely worth it. We stayed at the Holiday Inn next door the night before and it out performed the Galveston Beach Hotel in every aspect from Welcome on Arrival, Reception Area, Quality of Rooms, Breakfast, Checking Out etc. Same nightly rate for the room with breakfast!!Very disappointed to say the least. Perhaps give Sherwin Williams a call a little bit of paint makes a difference. ONE RESTAURANT in walking distance.
Major Plus - you are close to the Beach but so are all the other Hotels.

Got one of the only rooms without a balcony, couldn’t see the ocean. Parking is down a ramp and the only way to get in is to walk up it and to the front door. The floor in the room was dirty and had deep and long scratches and paint splatter on it. Bed was clean and comfortable, but there were only 3 pillows for a king bed and pull out couch; we asked twice for two more pillows and they said they were out of pillows. The paint job in the rooms seemed to have been done by an elementary school child, very messy. The shower only had body soap and shampoo, no conditioner. The elevator was extremely slow. Staff was friendly. Hot tub was dirty, pool was decent.

Floor next to the AC was leaking water. Beds made a loud noise when tossing and turning. Outdoor area where the large dumpsters are kept had an unsecured gate that clashed against a pole that made a loud noise late at night. Room key cards did not work on three different occasions. Parking was good, I like the fact they had EV chargers, staff was friendly.

It was a place to lay our head, beds were comfy. They were doing some remodeling and moving drywall in the elevator and they were parked and working in the handicap parking! I asked for another blanket and was told they didn’t have any extras. Staff was friendly.

Maintenance hammering and drilling from 7am to 7pm, sleeping in was impossible. Lobby and halls were dirty and wet. Waited 45 minutes at checkout to get my receipt Overall it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

The bath tub had rusty spots on it, there was wrappers on the floor in our room and the key to our room worked after 5 times of trying each time we left the room. Don't recommend.
