Both adequate and disappointing.

This hotel was only chosen because it is in walking distance of my wife's sister's condo. It was rather old but had tried to update itself since we were last there 20 years ago with only minimal improvements. We were also shocked to find our room had a free selection of condoms next to the bed, which I think says it all about the latest clients. Only 2 staff present.

Friendly helpful staff. Special mention for staff member named Wat. He was really accomodating.
Tuk Tuk right near accommodation very useful to get to station.
Best Beef restaurant just a short walk away was very very good.
Hotel was great value and plenty of variety. Very quiet for sleeping. A bit of distance to city centre but not bad once you get used to the variety of train services.

BANGKOK BEST. REALLY ENJOYED OUR 1O STAY.

We stayed 10 nights waiting for a Repatriation flight Bangkok-Manila. I cannot state how marvelous this Hotel is. Spotless clean each floor has it's own theme, we stayed on 3rd floor Chinese.
With over 20 breakfast choices we had no complaints cooked to perfection. Free shuttle to Sky Train. Most important the Staff. Each member, were professional, very friendly, gave advice on getting around. We chatted with the Owner each day as she lives at the Hotel. It's off the Bangkok Tourist map, however a 2min walk you are on Sukhumvit 71. Take Bus or ride the tuktuk for only THB 7 to Sky Train. No:40 aircon buss takes you to SoiCowboy & Nana Sta.We loved every day here and will book every time we are in Bangkok.
The area very safe, lots of food vendors has lots of cafes, resturants, 7-11. A large Filipino community lives in this neighborhood.

The hotel is great! Clean and all. The staff is super friendly! Don’t go there if you want to be closed to the main attractions of course. Just go there if you want to rest and do other things than following the other tourists!

The staff was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. Has some room wear and tear but considering the price, it’s not a big deal. They have an in room guide that was extremely useful. Also a hotel menu showing their many food and spa options. The lady who cooks breakfast was extremely kind. We came down for breakfast and if she saw something was empty, she’d take care of us and make new food. Would definitely stay there again!

It was a great stay. Even if the hotel is too far from the Central Bangkok, means of transportation is easy. You can really rest and sleep comfortably in the hotel bec the place is quiet. We surely enjoyed the places we’d been through, the food and delcious fruits. We will go back to Thailand and stay in Sabai Sabai again👌

THE FRONT DESK IS VERY HELPFU'L. THE SYSTEM OF TRANSPORTING CUSTOMERS TO THE BTS STATION AND TGE AIRPPORT LINK IS EXTREMELY USEFUL DUE TO THE LOCATNIS TOO FAR FROMA BTS STATIONS.

THD CLEANINESS OF THE HOTEL NEED IMPROVEMNTS. AND SO DOE STHE NTERIORS.

BUT I THINJ ITV IS ORT THE MONEY.

ONE FUNNY THING IS THAT MY WIIFE THINKS HT THERE IS GHOST IN THE HOTEL EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT FEEL IT.

Not close to much. Hard to find.

Very tiny hotel in a very small street corner - Not easy to find and Taxis don't know it so you have to Google map it for them.. Arrived late at night one person on desk waiting by.. Quite an awkward check in.. Room is not bad I mean it was survivable for two days. Can't say it was an easy area Felt like there was nothing here and quite far from everything especially in bangkok traffic. On check out I was appalled to get charged 100 baht for a small tube of toothpaste... Can't say I would recommend this hotel and wouldn't want to book again to be honest..

The hotel is looking a little tired and neglected, the room was of reasonable size the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water, but the view from the window was that of partly derelict monstrosity of a building.The breakfast was completely uninspiring consisting of cold fried eggs, cold thai dishes and hot steamed rice, there are plenty of local shops, street food stalls and a nice little cafe close by

Far from downtown

Booked the hotel after reading that it was on Sukhumvit & incorrectly locating it in Google maps. We soon realized that Sukhumvit is a really long street and in reality this hotel is pretty far from downtown and all the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Based on the location, I wouldn't recommend Sabai Sabai to anyone who is looking to go out a lot in the city or see sights, as you'll end up spending half an hour to an hour each way getting to these activities.
The hotel is close to BKK airport and transit lines, so if you have a short layover in the city, it would be much more suitable for that.
Our room had probably a good two dozen mosquitos when we arrived because the window was open. We called the front desk to take care of it, and they sent someone to spray DEET (while we were still in the room). I would imagine if it's such a common occurrence, some more permanent solution should be achieved, such as anti-mosquito devices, etc.
The redeeming features are that the hotel is cheap and clean, the front desk is 24h and the hotel's kooky decor, if that's your thing.

Nice rooms decent decor clean and comfortable,wi-fi a little slow but ok.Good choice of tv channels.Free tea and coffee available 24hrs in reception.A little far from the bts but there are baht taxis on the main road to the bts for 10 baht a person so not a big problem.A nice quiet location.Also reasonably priced.

I am disappointed that the website hotels.com made a mistake when i made my booking. I clicked on number of people per room three on the two times i tried. I clicked 3 pax each time and i wasnt able to see my final booking on my mobile phone before i made my payment. After the payment went through only did i see that it was meant for two. So i went ahead to check in at sabai sabai hotel the following day and was told its only for two. I had to tell the management my case that i typed in three pax with no breakfast and the price was shown and thinking that it has really taken in my request for three pax in a room and i finally made my payment. The website should have shown the the details before i made my payment. If the details and the price is shown, i can always consider other options. Nevertheless, the hotel allowed us to checked in unfavourably. I did not take extra bed from them as i just do not want more issues. The management of the hotel has asked me to lodge a complaint and they will do the same as said. The conclusion is I wasnt happy as the website does not show all details of booking before payment and the hotel wasnt happy as well.

Good price. Location not great

Good price but location isn't great at all..not really close to much of anything. The staff was very helpful and even gave us a free ride to the train station. If you just want to rest for one night and stay in then I'd recommend this place.

No where near public transportation also the taxi/cab drivers never wanted to take me to the hotel. The bathroom was very dirty, small and no light. The front desk person was not helpful. If you are staying more than overnight stay away.

Great Location, Efficient Staff...

I would start with the staff who was very efficient, English speaking, very accomodating and ready to give the best of service at any time of the day. They helped us in getting our tours arranged at no extra cost i wud say as compared to the several other agencies around. Location of the hotel is too good as it is away from the hustle n bustle of the city yet in the heart of the city. Sometimes u feel u r staying in ur own house. 10 minutes away from the Phra Khanong BST by tuk tuk. I stayed in this hotel after which i went to Phuket only to return back to the same hotel wen back in Bangkok.
Food in the restaurant is Thai so i wud not comment since i dont experiment much with the food.... Overall it was a great great experience.

Wud definitely visit the place again....

Amazing Boutique Hotel

The atmosphere and theme of the hotel is surreal. Very classy, colourful and inspiring. There's always something that catches your attention at every corner. Facilities are tip top as well. I think this hotel is too underrated. Deserves better reviews.

1. Ants attack - I was bitten by ants on my bed the first day, looked everywhere and couldn't find any ant trail.. Second day, same thing, many red itchy spots on my thigh and hand, my sister found out they actually fell off from the ceiling, we stood up on the bed and saw ants crawling all over (low ceiling), some were stuck in spidey webs too (gosh!)
2. Hot & cold shower - You get cold water when you set the knob to hot, you get hot water when you switch to cold, or you get both in between (much advanced shower system, pfft!)
3. Walking dead - Hotel is not close to any of the rail station, even there are 2 stations (BTS & ARL) shown on the map 'nearby', it will be a 30 mins or more (if you walk turtlely slow) to reach. The closest 7-11 is also a 10 mins walk down street (imagine if you are carrying bottles of drinks)

I loved our stay at the Sabai Sabai Hotel. The place is very clean, well decorated, friendly and accomodating staff. The location of the hotel is not that far from the train station which you can either take the tuktuk or cab going to the station. In my next trip to Thailand I will definitely visit this hotel again no doubt!

Gud property...but lil far from shopping areas

Very gud property. Gud decor. Majority of them spk gud English. Breakfast is just great. Quite environment. Little far away from major shopping areas. Everytm had to go to d station n go to d concerned places. Coz there's nothing arnd d property. Had bkd a cab for sightseeing through d hotel n that was the worst day of our entire 12days holiday in thai. Driver was vry rude. Took us to a floating mrkt which was isolated n way expensive, wherein d hotel staff had mentioned almost half d price. Bcoz he won't get his commission, Driver was screaming n yelling in thai coz we told him will skip n go to tiger temple (package was bkd for Floating mrkt-tiger temple- river Kwai) things were mch better once v rcvd d tiger temple. Had to skip River Kwai coz it was getting too late n d driver of course being restless.
Other than that evertg els was vry mch fine. Vry helpfull in terms of guidance in moving arnd d city. Even gave maps of bkk.
BTS station arnd 10- 15min by tuk tuk. Depending on d traffic. BTS is d best n d fastest way to get arnd in bkk.

It's a give and take

My stay at Sabai Sabai was great. The rooms are unique in design, made me feel like I want to change room every day to experience something new each day. The moment I stepped into my room the first time, there was this mild smell of the place not being used for a while, but it was easily dismissed by ventilating the air through air-conditioning and opening up the window. All in all environment is nice, peaceful and quiet.

The staffs speak relatively good English and can guide you through your needs by answering questions and supplying brochures and maps. They even made their own catalogue to let you know what's a good place to go, the distance, where to get off from the train station, the fees etc. I got some of my travel ideas from that catalogue itself.

The only downside would be its distance from the nearest train station, which is easily accessible via their tuk tuk or bus service. With 2 or more people, taxi is a better option most of the time if you want to save your travel time. There aren't really any tourist attraction within walking distance, but you get to experience Bangkok as it is by eating at the nearby hawker stalls and the local snacks are especially delicious.

non-touristy area - real Bangkok feel

If you don't want to be in a neighborhood with a bunch of other tourists, this is a good hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. However, not much to see that doesn't require a taxi ride. There are quite a few food vendors nearby. Hotel is extremely quiet, clean, great deal for the price. Has a \"genuine\" local vibe to the area.

Nice Hotel with atmosphere.

Used because of delayed occupancy for a booked apartment more central to personal requirements. Still, although a little out of the way, we were able to fit into the local scene and enjoy what was available - we found a nice, very reasonably priced, restaurant close-by to enjoy.
The hotel itself was clean and the staff very friendly and co-operative. The breakfast provided was very sufficient with a reasonable selection, and included in our occupancy.
Being able to stay there later than some hotels allow (till 1pm) at the end of our stay was very convenient for us! When asked they also allowed us to leave our luggage for collection later and then organizing our taxi to transfer to the new accommodation.
