Nice hotel, but....

Everything was nice about the hotel except they are way understaffed at the front desk. They did not answer the phone when we called for requests. The queue often was very long with only one (or no) person at the front desk.

Very nice and professional, but very slow.

All else was very good.

Its a good place, the food in the bar is delicious, there a station of bus to 9 minutes far way walking and taxi station 5 minutes , is easy take a bus. The breaksfast has many options, the hotel hasnt pool but not matter what.

Weather kept me awake!

Frequent visitor this hotel as it is 10 minutes from airport , has great parking and the motorway is right next door. This hotel is clean and solid. This time my sleep quality was poor due to the wind and rain beating on the glass, although outside hotel’s control. Always seem to be allocated the motorway end off corridor rooms if 06 and 07 and you should possibly avoid if you are a light sleeper. I will return though as this is a solid 4 star with decent breakfast.

Preferred for quick overnight in Santiago. Great parking and ease of access just off freeway 10 minutes from airport. Great breakfast, handy vending machine. Room service should have been open till 11 but did not answer the phone at 10.20pm a bit disappointing...room smelled faintly of perhaps cigarette smoke ( not sure but it was something) otherwise great as usual

The hotel is clean and the rooms are big. Staff at front desk is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is varied and goes from cereal to hot omelet. Parking is free which is a good advantage (|Others charge you 12 euros/day. Please be aware the hotel is about 30 minutes walking distance from Santiagos's Cathedral and old town.

Nice clean Hotel with friendly staff. ONLY COMPLAINT: Had to stay outside or in the lobby during the day where the temperature was cooler because the room was too hot. had to open the window at night to let cool air in the room. very noisy next to a highway. Did not sleep because of these conditions.

Nice hotel to stay in

The hotel is located not too far from the center and not too far from the airport, in general the hotel is very easy to find, rooms are large and clean, the staff was very nice and helpful, the only thing we didn't like was that the A/C was off since they claimed the temps outside were low (it was so hot inside) but we got a cooling unit.

For a 4* Hotel it was clinical. Bland and un-welcoming restuarant. Poor menu. Poor bar!. Choice of house red or white wine. Could not buy a bottle and no wine list! Expensive too!. No comfortable lounge area. Cold and again, uninviting. Breakfast was the only saving grace. Good choice buffet and pleasant staff on hand. Area was uninviting. No nearby restuarants or shops unless you travel by car/taxi. No public transport nearby at all.

Unfortunately there was only one person assigned to the front desk when we checked in at 5pm, and she had to answer the phone as well as check in those of us in line. She was still alone 3 hours later when we stood in line again for assistance. Otherwise the room was fine. We chose it to be closer to the airport rather than town.

Best parking ever. Right off the highway, and a parking lot. For a city in Spain, I was delighted. The hotel was the nice. Staff was helpful and pleasant. It isn't so close to the Cathedral, we had to take a taxi - too far to walk.

Comfortable and Friendly

Our GPS had difficulty finding the hotel as we had no street number. The hotel is somewhat out of town, but within walking distance of a number of cafés and restaurants on the main road. It is about half an hour walk, along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela trail, to the historical centre with the cathedral. Well worth the stroll into town. The hotel had a great restaurant and the two young waiters, Aitor and Santy were super friendly and highly efficient: I have never seen such quick response on pressing the table service button. Well done! The front desk staff was highly efficient and the hotel itself super clean. Our room was comfortable and kept in top condition by the cleaning staff. There was plenty of parking space and the hotel was located conveniently to the major roads in and out of the city. Highly recommended!

Santiago hotel near congress centre

My partner and I were happy with the standard room in this hotel which was modern and very comfortable. However we were extremely unhappy with the ´welcome´ we received from the male receptionist. We found him to be very rude. My long term Spanish partner, spoke to him in Spanish and said we had a reservation which was in my name. The receptionist ignored my partner and immediately spoke to me in Spanish and asked if the room was for one or two people, if we wanted a double bed etc - all of which had been specified on the booking! We honestly felt as if I had picked up a rent boy in the street. (we are a gay couple and I am older than my partner who is 42).
The following morning when asked if we were happy with our stay by a different and very nice receptionist, my partner explained what had happened on check in and she was extremely apologetic, though it had nothing to do with her. She gave us an email address to write to the manager, but we are still awaiting a reply. So I cannot recommend this hotel unfortunately

junior suite. size fine BUT if you want daylight you will be on full display to hotel car park, road right outside etc. bathroom has incomplete partially frosted glass door, too much information!!! this is en suite in the wrong way... Shower has tray for soap etc not within easy reach daft design. bed huge and comfy. breakfast dismal

Having spent one week staying staying in lovely small hotels / guesthouses on Camino this was very different experience. Large bland hotel on outskirts of Santiago. Hotel / room / bathroom were fine / clean but nothing to really recommend. Maybe I was just unlucky but staff always seemed to in middle of training and ignored guests for some time - this occurred at bar / restaurant / check out. Not an expensive hotel but better hotels in the city.

Just an over nighter

We stayed in this hotel as an overnight stop and I'm glad that was all. The hotel looks nice and the room was a good size. However, the walls are paper thin. I could hear almost every word from my neighbours room. Also it is far from the centre of town, even though we were told there is a bus every 15 minutes. Because we didn't want to bus, we ate in the restaurant in the hotel. My dinner of spaghetti was ok but my husband's meal was horrible. He could have worn the veal as shoes. Glad it was only overnight.

Nothing works right.

I decided not to stay downtown because most of the properties there are older and I needed to get some work done. So I decided for this hotel that indicated to be more business traveller oriented.
The internet was very slow and did not loaded emails or pages. Could't access the Expedia website.
Hotel staff informed that the slow internet was normal. The TV set in the room is from the last century and the remote did't worked. Also the AC did't worked properly.
Finally location is 3 km from Santiago de Compostela and faces a noisy highway.

Great time in Santiago de Compostela!

My stay was wonderful. It was a little further from the city than I expected, but cabs and buses have very reasonable rates. The hotel looks very prestigious and the staff are very professional and helpful. I felt that the tax should be quoted with the price inclusive. Great breakfast menu but no variety from day to day. Dinner was good. Santiago de Compostela is a beautiful city and I would like to go back and visit when I am not doing business.

Check in was unremarkable; I was given a good room on the top floor, which a was quiet and at the end of the corridor; however, after a tiring journey, I opted for a beer from the mini bar, and the fridge was't working! I subsequently ordered a room service meal and two COLD beers from the front desk, telling them about the fridge, and they were unconcerned, as was the lass who brought the meal and beer. Average breakfast with spongy scrambled eggs. All considered a very average place, not considered to have earned four stars.

Hard to find. Directly across from stadium. Big place. A long walk to center it's almost 4 miles. We had a rental car, hotel charged for parking. €17 a day. There is no street parking in the immediate area. It was very comfortable quiet and clean.

Right near the Pilgrimage route to the basilica. Only negative: very hard mattresses on the beds (reason rating for rooms down). Worth the four stars.

Great hotel, OK location

Stayed here twice in 2 weeks - both ends of a trip to La Toja. Easy access from airport via bus (3 euro one way) which has a bus stop on Rua San Lazaro (2 min walk from hotel). Alternative is taxi with fixed price of 21 euro. Room light and 'air'y with most amenities (no coffee machine nor clothes iron). Very clean room, great bed. Floors were wood laminate so a bit noisy if neighbours wearing heels. Walls a bit on the thin side. Excellent breakfast (just under 11 euro) with very good food selection. Didn't eat at hotel for dinner as there are several restaurants on San Lazaro. Access to town centre is easy, with #6 bus stop also on San Lazaro (1 euro). Front desk staff very helpful and polite and multi- lingual.

Location right next to the conference center; nice and unpretentious restaurant (try the grilled pork on caramelized onions, goat cheese, and apples!), free wireless in lobby and free wired internet in room, both with decent bandwidth; friendly staff; and reasonable price. One of the best hotels for the price I have stayed in during the last years.
