Room was clean. Check in was simple and smooth with no trouble at all. Room was not ready for us when we arrived but we were able to leave our bags at concierge and go shop. It really was a plus that the hotel was linked to a mall right next door! When we could check in, it went well and we also collected our packages that we ordered in advance at the concierge desk. Seeing that we had many things to transport up to the room, the concierge staff kindly sent up two automated robots with our packages, freeing up our hands to take the rest of our things. We also had an external laundry vendor come collect our clothes and the staff kindly handover our stuff to them because we were not available the whole day! Overall it was a very pleasant experience staying here and would recommend it!

Excellent Stay – Outstanding Staff and Impeccable Maintenance

Our recent stay was truly wonderful. The entire hotel team deserves praise for their kindness, professionalism, and constant attention to detail. Although the property is not new, it is in perfect working order — a clear sign of excellent and careful maintenance.

The location is also a major plus: the hotel has direct access to the adjacent shopping mall, which is more than enough for most visitors, offering countless restaurants and shops. The metro station is roughly a ten minute walk away if you keep a brisk pace.

The only disappointing aspect of our experience was the airport transfer service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it — It was significantly more expensive than other available options booked independently online, the driver arrived late, was not properly dressed, did not assist with the luggage (even though my parents are in their eighties), and spent the entire drive on the phone.

A poor first impression that, thankfully, was quickly erased upon arrival thanks to the hotel’s exceptional staff.

I must give a special mention to Ms. Maria, who greeted every guest at breakfast with a warm smile and a cheerful “good morning.” We often met her around the hotel, always kind, caring, and ready with valuable recommendations.

Thank you, Maria — your presence made our stay simply better.

The staff were amazing , Great shopping and restaurants next door , Breakfast was great, but the room was terrible. The temp was set on central control at 26.5 deg so it was hot at night and you have no control other then to turn it off and open the window , the drain in the shower did not drain the water fast enough so you had a time limit on showering before the water would spill out onto the floor , the pillows are terrible , no stationary , no mini bar , lights in the main room were broken.

Expected quality of services, cleanliness and amenities for a hotel of this standard. Give 4 stars for the facilties as the maintenance of the indoor swimming pool was a letdown given that it took them more than 5 days to do so, coinciding with my length of stay. I thought it could have been faster. The free upgrade of hotel room given as a first time guest was a well received pleasant surprise.

Overall, it was still a wonderful stay nonetheless.

We are a couple in our 50s. We decided on this hotel from information posted in the internet. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Complex Building is across the road. A 10 minutes walk to a MRT Station provided convenient transportation to tourist attractions in the city. Plenty of choices for food in the mall and adjacencies. Safe environment, next to Starbucks, policemen from across the road can probably hear you shouts. As the hotel is situated in the city, adjacent to commercial office buildings, the adjacent roads are busy during office hours. Hotel provides a variety of local dishes for breakfast. Our room on level 7 came with a deluxe king bed. Average size, good for a couple, furniture is a little dated. Calls to service desk were made to replenish mineral water bottles and replacement of floor mat. While these were oversights from room cleaners, responses from service desk were prompt, within 5 minutes on both occasions.
A special note of commendation to the duty managers (Mr Musa and Mr Cola Hsu) during my stay from 29 Feb to 5 Mar 24. Both managers were very helpful and facilitated with our day tour bookings, hotel transfers to train stations, directions information and transportation requirements. Both gentlemen made the stay memorable, thank you very much.

Though it is a little far from downtown (near 2nd ring road), it is near MRT. You can access anywhere from here.

The property is nice and clean. The bed is really fluffy and comfortable.

We especially admire the staff professionalism. The concierge is so helpful, and even the doorman. One day he paid for our cab when the cab driver did not have enough change. We certainly paid him back afterwards.

This property is highly recommended.

It was the best surprise to arrive at this Utown location, the service and decor was impeccable, there was delicious food in the buffet, reasonable prices for a 5 star experience, immediate assistance when I locked my passport in the safe and forgot the code. Internet was very slow on my computer. Mall next door had great food and shopping, nearby ritan trade is a shopping heaven and Chaoyangmen station is so close to the airport line in 20 minutes youre at the airport. Excellent.

Injured by insecure safety equipment at hotel

My dad had a fall in the common area near the swimming pool due to an insecure fence. The fence was not strong enough and secured on the ground. While he was holding onto the handrail of the fence, the fence gave way and fell down. This caused my dad slip and land on his back. The fall injured his back to some extent. The hotel managed refused to provide a written statement in accepting the full responsibility but only verbally agreed to pay for all medical expenses. This is very unprofessional and leaves no guarantee if there are any long term damage.

Beautiful, solid, great hotel

It was great, the room was clean, we arrived at 1 in the morning and the check-in process was still totally fine. The bathtub was big enough, and the room was a solid beautiful room with a nice view. We had dinner at around 2 in the morning, calling a nearby Mc Donald's delivery, it arrived in no time, and waited in the lobby for us to collect. Overall, a fantastic stay, and it takes only 30-40 minutes taxi ride from the airport, will come again if given the chance.

My son and I very much appreciated the level of comfort and thoughtfulness of design. Although the hotel is in a relatively anodyne area, it is close to a subway station, making most of Beijing easily accessible.

The only improvement I can think of would be to relax the dress code for the lobby staff. Those jackets, with vestigial tails, carry the whiff of colonialism.

A great hotel in a great location at a great price. The rooms were incredible. There are many different restaurant choices (including Italian, other ethnic cuisine, even inexpensive U.S fast food) in the area if you don't want to eat at the hotel. The subway station is close by making it easy to get around Beijing (just make sure you have your bearings when leaving the station to find your way back to the hotel). And, there is plenty of shopping nearby if you like that. The in-room safe is large and held my laptop plus all my camera gear - something that is very important to me when I travel (although you generally don't have to worry about theft in China). The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey if it is not included with your room, but there is a McDonald's less than a block away where you can get a cheap breakfast. Great pool and workout room as well.

My Fiancé and I had a wonderful two night stay at the Crowne Plaza.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff and took our luggage to the room. The check in was painless and our request for a high floor was met with a smile. The room was clean and spacious, with a wonderful bathroom. It was nice to have a deep soaking tub.
The check was painless (cheating out of hotels in China can often bed tedious) and the concierge does an excellent job helping to get taxis. The only negative aspect was a pipe broke in the main lobby which left a bad smell in the air, the staff worked hard to fix the problem.

Only negative was room was warm and no air conditioning , but this is typical for China as they do not know how or choose not to allow individual regulation of room temperatures during transition of seasons. It's either a/c or heat but no option to choose!. The hotel did provide a fan to help cool off the room.

Good location, courteous people and clean rooms. The choice of food was very limited especially at the coffee shop and the coffee shop wasn't appealing enough to hang out. The location of the mall next door with good choices for eateries on the fifth floor is a plus. The metro station is 5 mts away which is a plus should one want to beat the traffic.

Very nice hotel at convenient location

Hotel is situated close to Chaoyangmen subway station and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast buffet was very good but a bit pricey if not included in the room rate. There are many options for food nearby so not an issue.
You can ask the hotel for day trips to the Great Wall of China/Ming tombs etc as they are cheaper in RMB than if you book online. In addition to all the famous tourist attractions, Kung Fu performance at the Red Theater is highly recommended!

dont book your stay for 3. i booked with three person. hotels.com chared me significantly more for three. but when we checked in, they said reservation only covers 2. they have charged more for bed. so at the end, price was doubled. we could booked two room for same price. also, we booked for non smoking room which cost more to make sure we dont have smoking smell in the room, the room came with ash tray and matches. so no matter what you book your room, they will charge more at arrival. so dont stay here. also, the location is not so good. they are located behind tall buildings and not on main street. taxi driver did not know. not too many options to eat in the morning.

I travelled to BJ for sightseeing for a few days. This hotel offered a 50% discount on flexible rates so I decided to go for it. I got upgraded to a deluxe room. Central location and a shopping mall just downstairs. Everything in the hotel was nice. I would recommend it for business/ leisure travel with the same discounted rates.

Some small points: The towels were not absolutely spotless, and I had to ask for some new ones. Also the hotel is not really very close to the metro i.e. 5 minute walking. A junior staff member was not very helpful with finding the restaurants I wanted to go to, but the manager was very nice and patient (and had very good knowledge about the city!).

We reached te hotel much too early at 12pm and had to wait an hour and a half for our room since it's peak season, but the reception nicely let my daughter and I have complimentary drinks in the lobby whilst waiting. Other than an over-eager cleaning boy who actually asked me twice in the morning as to when he can clean my room, service/cleanliness/comfort/quality and speed of services were great! It connects directly to the shopping mall next door where we did shopping and settled all our meals. The pools were a tad too cold though - I as hoping the jacuzzi might be warmer, but otherwise GREAT!

Fifteen minute taxi ride to major attractions

The stay was very nice and the staff courteous. We had no major issues, except we thought that wi-fi should have been provided for in the room. However, it is not a major surprise that in most \"upscale\" hotels, they will charge for stuff that \"moderately\" priced hotels provide for no cost. There was also no tea/coffee in the room, not that we would have used it or looked for it. We had breakfast at the hotel everyday and it was great. Everything that we wanted, we were able to get. We had one dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was so-so only. All in all, great stay at the Crowne U-Town.
