Very nice rooms, great staff and location; quiet but close enough to walk throughout the city center from the hotel. Included breakfast was adequate if your into a few pieces of white toast and a small plate of fruit. You can order other things for an additional charge and those were very good. Outside/roof top bar not open which is misleading and too bad because it's a nice space. You could still access it but almost always would have to ask the staff to unlock it. Be aware that there are rooms off premises (far away) that are part of this hotel and some folks appear to not notice this when they book. Overall a really good find - comfortable, nice art/charm/decor and attentive staff there 24hrs.

Beautiful boutique hotel, great location with wonderful staff. Really would have otherwise been a 5/5, it was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a special occasion.

But, the room we had booked two months ago (with a King bed) wasn't held for us, or was double booked, or we got bumped. Not entirely sure but they just said nope, we don't have a King bed for you as reserved.

Instead we were offered a room with two double beds. Which was lovely enough, but again not what we had reserved. Two separate beds really isn't the secret to a romantic weekend escape with my wife.

We were then offered a Villa as the only other option with a King bed. Sounds like an upgrade but it was 20 blocks away from the boutique hotel. Two bedrooms, two living rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Lovely spot if you're travelling with friends or family. But it's isolated, on a noisy corner at street level with no real access to the boutique amenities we chose this hotel for.

As our only option with a bed that would allow my wife and I to be together (I'm 6'2\" and consume more than a little space) we took it, and made the best of it.

Staff tried really hard to help us bridge the gap, they went above and beyond. They were awesome.

But ya, it is what it is. This was my wife's 50th birthday weekend, of course I wanted everything to be perfect. And it wasn't. So 3/5 is the best I can do, given how this played out.

My wife and i had a WONDERFUL time at this apartment and will come back to this same apartment. The house keeper was GREAT and she took care of us while there. This hotel is conveniently located. Just a few blocks from downtown and many of the restaurants and sights. The people who work here are very friendly and knowledgeable about the sights to be visited. Our room was spacious, it had a new bathroom. Also, for us, it was ideal that it included a parking space just around the corner from the hotel.
Breakfast was like eating at home, no buffet but freshly cooked eggs, bacon, fruit or/and other Mexican dishes.
I recommend it.

I loved this property!! We liked it so much, on our last day back from being on the coast, we booked another night just to stay in the area before our flight the next day. We had stayed prior to this, 5 days before this..

The Villa is not at the hotel but it’s not too far.. very easy to get to, and you have your own driveway for your vehicle. That was a huge plus for us since we had a rental. When we went to the plaza all we did was find a local parking garage near by… not too bad.

The perfect blend of Hotel and AirbNb. We reserved the “Villa” which is a two story house with two ample bedrooms, a living room, media room, two full baths and kitchen. It’s 4 blocks north of Santo Domingo temple and museums, so easily walkable and comfortable. If you want the included breakfast they will deliver it… also all the cleaning and changing of towels etc at your convenience. Great staff and wonderful place. We’ll be back!

I traveled with 3 other women and we all found Hotel Casa Divina Oaxaca a great place to stay. All of the staff were helpful and attentive. The included breakfast is really good and you have choices! The location was superb. We walked everywhere! The bar above is not always open but we had one night when the music went beyond 10 pm.
Otherwise not a bother.

We loved the property when we first saw it, but when we arrived, the hotel staff informed us that we wouldn’t be staying there. Instead, we were being sent to another location, far from the city center. We were exhausted from traveling and had been looking forward to checking in, so it was incredibly disappointing to be told we had to go somewhere else. This meant we would need to take a taxi every day just for breakfast, which was very frustrating. We went back to the hotel and explained that this was not what we had paid for. In the end, they agreed to give us a room at the original property. While it was a rough start and it felt like an attempt to bait and switch, everything worked out in the end, and the hotel was nice.

I had the most amazing stay at Hotel Divina from the minute we arrived to our extended stay that was extremely easy to request. The concierge was amazing providing us with places to visit outside the area. Parking was very convenient and safe as it was just around the block in a locked garage . This was our first time visiting Oaxaca and I couldn’t be more satisfied with our selection of this wonderful boutique hotel.

Property is walking distance to the square and many sights.Had breakfast on the property most days, however the terrace restuarant was not open with no explanation provided. The staff was helpful but communication was sometimes difficult for us as our spanish is not so good. Would recommend staying here for the locality alone. Rooms were adequate for our needs. Didn't care for the music loop that played too late at night for us as we retire early and could hear the bass line through the walls. That was really our only dislike.

It was pretty close to most of the popular street markets, attractions and restaurants. The staff were excellent. They helped us with transportation. The cleaning lady did an awesome job. They sent breakfast to our villa every morning and on time. As it’s in the center, you do hear the outside traffic, but we spent most of the day sightseeing, so it wasn’t a problem.

A nice hotel in the historic center of Oaxaca. A 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa with private parking is a great option for a family but take note that the villas are in a separate location from the hotel, much further from the Zocalo. The villas are still walkable to everything, but just know they are not in the same place. You can still enjoy breakfast at the hotel or in the villas. Customer service was excellent and overall we had a very nice stay.

We had a great time in Oaxaca. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are not that big but comfortable. The staff was always available to help us.
The restaurant food was really good and the staff super helpful!
I contacted the hotel couple of months before arriving to ask for tour and transport information. They were very helpful and gave me all the details and everything was ready for our arrival.

Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious and spotless with daily housekeeping. Great amenities. We booked some tours and a cooking class through the hotel and all were very good. It was a smaller hotel, family friendly and very quiet at night. Easy walking distance to the center of Oaxaca but removed enough from hubbub. The mattresses were a little soft for us. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Would highly recommend this place.

If you are looking to stay in a \"Oaxaca\" style hotel, away from the corporate shell of Holiday Inns, Marriotts, Hiltons, This is the place to stay. Super clean, GREAT staff and for once, the pictures are accurate and current. The Villa we stayed at was simply amazing, private parking, 2 large rooms and entertainment room, full kitchen, dinning area, and living room. Free breakfast, and not just a small continental, we are talking about a full breakfast, your choice of fruit to start, eggs, chilaquiles, enchiladas. and simply delicious. Paty and her crew are amazing with everything. Carmen our personal housekeeper for the Villa we fantastic and super friendly. If you are looking around for somewhere to stay and you are not sure, but you landed on this Hotel. STOP and book it!! You will not regret it. Everything is walkable, downtown, 5 star restaurants, Zocalo, mercado!

Casa Divina is a beautiful, spotlessly clean boutique hotel in a great location for walking to all of Oaxaca’s attractions. The staff is amazing. For a small fee we had a beautiful meal every morning ( continental is free but the cooked breakfasts were fantastic). The manager helped us find a driver for our party of 7 to take us wherever we wanted to go outside the city. We will stay here again.

Excellent little hotel in downtown Oaxaca! The property is just a few blocks away from the city's main square in a very walkable area on town. There is plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars around. The hotel is perfect for families and couples. Breakfast was included and it was really good. The staff was very helpful and kind; we would definitely go back!

The staff was amazing from beginning to end. Reception was always there and answering any questions we had plus making sure we didn't need anything else. The ladies at the breakfast restaurant were very nice to our daughter and made her simple toddler foods so she could eat as well.

The room was cleaned very well everyday. Everything worked as it should.

The only thing we did not love were the beds. They were a bit hard and you could feel the springs sometimes.

The hotel is just a few blocks from el Zocalo and there are a lot of restaurants nearby that were very good.

The Villas were spacious and clean. The location was ideal for walking to shops and restaurants. Taxis were easy to find, if needed, however, the Casa Devina staff was always willing to make cab arrangements. The only negative is that the villas are a 15 min walk or 5-10 min cab ride from the main hotel. The free breakfast was not always convenient to get to for that reason. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, even called the airline to help straighten out an issue with checking in.

They hotel was just perfect! The staff were phenomenal with all services. The gentleman Sergio was amazing w/ assisting with any needs right down to recommend new places to go. Dona Mercedes and all the lovely ladies working at the restaurant La Llorona were the most beautiful souls ever! They went above and beyond to having us feel welcomed and loved! Felt like I was at my abuelitas house having breakfast with them each morning to were we looked forward to going upstairs! The rooms were wonderful and walking distance from el centro to where you were not too close and hearing all the noise but not far too just walk out to get some food. We alway were able to get a massage from the outstanding masseuse that was able to pin point exactly what was hurting without us saying a word. The greatest trip so far and best service we have ever had. Would recommend and stay here again when I return. The amazing staff made this experience one that I want to and will be returning here!

Maybe I overlooked it on their site, but I wasn’t aware the Villas weren’t on the property. The 10 minute cab ride to the hotel for breakfast wasn’t inconvenient for us in any case, and it was covered by the hotel. After breakfast we took advantage of being near the center to explore the sites on foot. The accommodations were worth every cent.

The hotel is in a great location.. walking distance from el centro. It's a quite hotel,. The only concern was one male receptionist that was so nosy.. stalked us around the hotel and just weird vibes. He would call our room when he clearly saw us leave and my daughter was in the room alone. Other than that it was a great stay.
