The hotel is lovely and the view is spectacular!! My room was very clean. Very easy to walk to many restaurants and I felt extremely safe as a solo traveler. They did not have breakfast at the hotel as mentioned on Expedia. I went out to get coffee and breakfast. The manager was very helpful when I needed transportation.

I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but after our experience, I felt I should because no guest should be treated this way.

The positives: the view is stunning, the location is excellent with many restaurants nearby, the room was very clean, and we appreciated being able to choose from available units at check-in.

Unfortunately, there were several issues. There was no iron in the room. When we asked, we were told irons are only available by request in the morning. We needed one that afternoon, were told housekeeping would bring it within an hour, but it never arrived. If you need an iron, request it early and return it after use.

The bathroom was also unsafe. There is no shower curtain, so the floor becomes very slippery after every shower.

The biggest issue was the receptionist, Rafael. He was very friendly at check-in, but when we politely asked for a late checkout (checkout is 10 a.m., much earlier than most hotels), he denied it because of the next guests. Later we learned they were being allowed to check in several hours early. When I asked why they could receive such an early check-in while we couldn’t even get one extra hour, he raised his voice and started shouting at me. That is completely unacceptable. Guests should never be yelled at for asking a reasonable question. The property has many positives, but this experience overshadowed our stay.

Adele and Anthony were wonderful! They made the whole experience at the hotel great. It is a shame that they will soon no longer be working there, as they really make the place special. The property is great, but they really make it a wonderful experience. Best of luck to the both of them!

Amazing property in an amazing location, good for walking to town or for the trail to Oia. Adele and Anthony were wonderful, provided very helpful information about the area, allowed us to check in very early and also arranged transfers for us. The room was beautiful also, and a generous size.

Fantastic boutique hotel experience. Adele was an extremely friendly host who met us in the small square area and helped bring our bags to the hotel. Since our room was ready, we were allowed to check in early. The room we stayed in was spacious with high ceilings and perfect for our family of 4 as we had a double bed and two single beds for the kids. The view from the hotel is amazing and there is plenty of outdoor terrace space to lounge during the day and enjoy the sun. Perfect location as you are minutes from all the shops and restaurants that imerovigli has and a 20-30 minute walk along the coast to the main shopping in Fira. I would definitely stay here again and would be great with a group of friends or family as the 8 room hotel could accommodate 20 plus people.

We absolutely loved this place - the views were amazing, the room was lovely & clean, the breakfast served by the sweet gal Anise, and best of all were the propert manager Antonio and guest manager Adele! The two of them went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable! We would definitely recommend this place & hope we can come back again some day. Adele, Anthony, Enisa and all the staff are amazing people who go above and beyond to warmly welcome you and ensure you have the best experience possible. The caldera view from the common area patio is absolutely breathtaking, and the large, inviting pool is perfect for relaxation. With only 8 suites, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere and keeps the common areas uncrowded. The a la carte breakfast offers delicious local pastries that are a perfect start to the day. Its central location between Oia and Fira provides easy access to both towns, along with several great nearby restaurants. You will not be disappointed with this hotel.

The property and staff are completely amazing! The view from the deck and pool area was the most incredible view I have ever experienced! The rooms were beautiful with unique and fun layouts.
The true difference between this property and other properties is the staff! They created an unforgettable experience for my family. From Anthony the owner, to Dashe the cleaning lady, George and Drossos at the desk…they were amazing. Our day would start out with breakfast with the view, served by Enisa who was incredibly nice and pleasant! When we weren’t seeing other parts of the island, afternoons were often spent by the pool with the amazing and super fun Mariano! And a huge thank you to Adele for planning our excursions…everything was perfectly planned…Sunset boat cruise, dinners, beach club, hikes…Adele’s concierge skills are 2nd to none and made this an unforgettable vacation!
I can’t thank you all enough and we hope to visit again!

Book this hotel! Exceeded our expectation, and was the best hotel we stayed in during our Europe trip. View of Caldera, top-notch staff, and so close to dining options, and transportation are a few of the reasons we enjoyed our stay. The included breakfast was served either in your room or on the beautiful terrace overlooking the aqua blue caldera. It is located on top of the ridge so you don’t have tourist waking right by your pool. The staff sat down with you and listed on a map all the amazing things to do. They also were wiling to arrange anything for you. Large room, comfortable bed and lovely furnishings in the room allowed for an amazing stay.

Beautiful hotel, incredible views, amazing service

The hotel design and the room provide the idealistic Santorini experience, the pool with poolside bar were a great way to relax in the heat, the extensive Caldera and ocean views were incredible..but above all this the service from the staff (Adel and George in particular) was amazing and something we have not experienced in quite a long time…the walk to Fira is a solid 20-25 mins but it meant for a quieter stay and walk gave us a chance to enjoy more sea views. Highly recommend Kalisto Hotel!

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Super location, very spacious rooms with all the amenities one needs. The view of the caldera was spectacular and the pool and patio are were immense for such a populated area of hotels. It had a very private feel and was in a lovely town in between Oía and Fira without all the tourists. The staff were some of the friendliest we have ever met, especially Adele, who helped us with all kinds of requests and questions throughout our stay. Made everything so easy for us. The staff checked in with us every morning and night to make sure we had what we needed. We would certainly recommend this hotel to any family or couple traveling to Santorini who wanted to be well taken care of during their stay. Great value for money we paid. Clean rooms in a good location. However the stay is ruined by the terrible staff. The receptionist who works the afternoon shift together with the guy who brings breakfast and deals with the pool are so rude and obnoxious. They seem happiest when telling the customers off. Excellent hotel, the common areas are spacious. We believed this hotel is one of the biggest common area in Imerovigli. Spectacular view, tremendous service, breakfast was delicious. This hotel is located in a point close to everything. 20 minutes from the airport. 20 minutes from OIA if you like to take a catamaran trip to see the sunset, it's worth it. Fira is close by walking distance from the hotel, where the nightlife is concentrated. You can take the bus for 2.50 euros and it is worth it because it is fast and has all the stops you need. We went to Mykonos on the fast ferry without a reservation. We arrive at the port and for 80 euros per person you arrive in approximately in 3 hours in Mykonos. The staff and Kallisto Hotel seemed excellent to us ❤️

Lovely place, wonderful team

Lovely, efficient and communicative team from the reception to the lady and gentleman taking care of breakfast every morning. I stayed in October for 2 nights. I booked the Junior Maisonette with Sea View & Caldera View. The bedroom has a nicely-laid out bunk above the kitchen. It's a steep wooden ladder to climb up the bedroom, be aware if you are booking. The only thing that marred my stay was an odor coming from the toilet. It smelled of disinfectant mixed with chlorine. It never went away and had to keep the bathroom window open and only closed it at bedtime. Everything else was wonderful, especially the people.

Great location with issues

Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I will cover the good and the bad below with our experience.

Pros:
Great views - really high up, so can see a lot!
Good breakfast - cooked each day! (note: it is limited hours and may or may not be ready when you request it as we ask for it by 8:15, and it was not ready until 8:30)
The staff was overall very kind.
The rooms were clean.

Cons:
We didn't have hot water for our stay. Told the staff on the day we arrived, then again the next day, as well as the following day. They said they ordered a part, but I am skeptical as their team knew how to fix it. They also tried to tell us upon checkout that if we had told them day 1 we could have changed rooms - which we did. The hotel was not full either. Did give a small discount back due to issue, but honestly unacceptable for a 4* hotel. Apologies only go so far without hot water.

The hotel is hard to find. There are not additional signs other than the entrance sign. We called 3 times with no answer. No one was at the desk when we arrived, and had to find someone to help to check-in. They staff with a few people doing multiple jobs.

The bedroom was a loft with wooden stairs and a low ceiling. Not necessarily an issue, but be aware if you are tall (I could only stand in the middle at 5'7\".

Lastly, the door to the shower did not close resulting in a very wet bathroom with each cold shower. Again, not a huge issue, but something that could easily be fixed.

Good hotel with a great view

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Kallisto last minute after we had to extend our stay on Santorini because of an accident. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had some issues with the AC in our unit but they eventually got it fixed. The room was big enough for the both of us. The property is cool as they have a good sized pool and deck that over looks the caldera. I would recommend this hotel for people traveling in large groups like with multiple family members or friends because of the big common area around the pool

Awesome views and great value for Santorini

Views Views Views... the outdoor area is amazing for lounging and sunning and the pool keeps you cool in the summers. The room was stayed in was the junior maisonette with 2 levels. The bathroom size was OK for us but I'm sure some people over 200 pounds would feel it is way too small. The stairs up to the bed in the attic is fun, but again, not for those looking for average western sizes. I found no issue with climbing steep stairs to get to my room, but others might.

The service was great. Mario (at the bar) and Mariza (at the front desk) were excellent. The breakfast was good (eggs, bacon, greek yogurt, fruits, bread, coffee, juice). It was not a buffet but I was filled up by the portions given. Marble everywhere, so watch your step with water.

The only problem we had was the bar menu. There was no menu and we were ordering drinks that we thought were 8-10 euros. We ended up with ~150 euro bar tab after 3 days upon check out that we couldn't pay with credit card. Big let down as we burned through our cash pile. We did consume about 12 drinks, so it is on par with the area I suppose in terms of cost.

Other than that, I'd recommend the place especially at the value considering the area. You can get bigger rooms in the 8 unit complex if space is an issue for you.
