I travel a lot, and this was my worst hotel experience. We arrived in Santorini on Friday night, and there was no TV, no Wi-Fi connection, and no hot water. A young staff member helped us get Wi-Fi for a few hours, but it disconnected again shortly after.

The next day we waited, hoping the hot water would be fixed so we could take a shower, but there was still no hot water.

I also think the pictures are misleading and greatly exaggerate the beauty of the place.

In the end, we had to clean ourselves with extremely cold water using washcloths and left as soon as we could. I will NOT recommend this place at all.

The lady was rude when we showed up. Like we were putting her out for having to talk to us. We booked the room because of the hot tubs and paid extra for a hot tub. But the hot tubs aren’t on in the off-season? Maybe you should state that. Who wants a hot tub in the summer. Tv didn’t work. Waste of

Got there at 2:00am and no parking available. I parked next to the hotel but was waken up early morning to move my rental. The bed was comfortable to lay on as long as you don’t move a lot because the bed that we got is not even. Not sure if it’s the bed topper or the actual bed. We were too tired to complain after looking for a parking. Our room is nice but the bathroom got a funky smell to it when we got there so we dump a lot of shampoo and body wash so that when it flushes it smells a little better. The people that work there are all nice but they don’t control the parking and the overall condition of the property.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. There is a countryside charm to the room set up and decor and the views from the property are very nice. The host and reception were easy to communicate with. Although this is not the full service hotel if you were looking for that. This was mostly for a quiet stay and a convenience store and restaurant with a 5 minute walk with options to deliver at your room. The host also helped arrange for tour options and airport pickup and drop for us at an additional cost.

The accommodation was stunning, with perfect views, clean rooms, and friendly staff. We couldn't say anything else – we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday.

Located just up the hill, Ilios Bakery is open 24 hours and offers free delivery. You can order breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks and drinks by WhatsApp and pay in cash. Highly recommended.

The hotel location excellent. Very close to the walking path. Free parking is included which is a major plus!!!
We stayed in suite #1. The king size bed was very hard (but we slept well)!
The suite overlooked the morning sunrise.
Personally, a microwave would be a great addition to this property.

Property is over rated for the price. The bathroom is outdated, no ventilation, inconvenient shower, bathroom lock is so 1900s. After the first shower, the bathroom clogged and flooded the room, it took two visits the maintenance crew to fix it, all the while I've had to ensure the smell from the overflow drain.

The ocean view is limited to rooms on the uphill of property. If you get the lower rooms, you need to get out of the room for a view.

The pros are parking and the staff otherwise spend your money somewhere else. You can find better properties in oia for the same price.

We liked the peace and quiet of the area! Downside was there wasn’t much to do without taking U er or a taxi. I thought I had booked a room with the hot tub, but it was not included in our reservation. The room was comfortable and very very clean! Patio was also very enjoyable!

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service experience during our recent stay at Phaos Santorini Suites from July 17 to 20. While the property’s location and view are undeniably stunning, the overall service and hospitality fell far below acceptable standards — especially for an establishment that claims to be a 5-star hotel.
From the very beginning, we faced issues that were both disappointing and unacceptable:
1.Incomplete Amenities: Basic amenities were missing upon check-in, setting a negative tone from day one.
2.Overpriced and Poor Breakfast: The breakfast charged at €40 per person was unjustifiable. It consisted of just two eggs, butter, coffee, and a Greek salad. When we requested two individual omelets, they served a single omelet with four eggs on one plate, instructing us to share the dish and silverware — completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
3.Housekeeping Unavailable: When we requested room cleaning, we were informed by reception that no housekeeping staff was available and we should wait until the next day. This is simply unacceptable by any hospitality standard.
4.Lack of Night Support: At around 9 PM, we tried multiple times to contact reception for bottled water. No one answered. The next morning, we were informed that reception had been closed for the night. How can a hotel that advertises itself as 5-star operate with no night support?
5.Disrespectful Restaurant Service: We were refused a shaded table despite the r

Very nice place. Excellent views and host is very helpful as well. Only one suggestion i have for the hotel management is to provide emergency number to guests, we lost electricity for few hours and couldn't contact anyone. Wasn't a big deal as power returned in few hours.

Nice host and clean but a bit mildewy feel

They were very responsive to requests and upgraded us and they were very nice and accommodating. It could be the cooler weather but the place was a bit muggy and everything felt damp there all the time. The shower head faucet part broke mid shower. And the bathroom had a mildewy smell that really could have benefited from some type of room deodorizer.
Otherwise was very nice, free parking on site, comfortable beds and beautiful views.

Our room was facing the sea of the eastern part of Santorini. Hence, could see sunrise every morning. Glad that it is opened during the winter season. Good to rent car to drive and explore Santorini during winter as tourists volume is low. We were the only occupier on the first 2 nights. Do note that there were condensation on the ceiling of the toilet after the hot shower during the winter season. Water droplets will be dripping from overhead.

First i would have to say, i went at the wrong time of year. I also did not realize how far from town central, Fira, this property was. Yes, it had nice views way up the hill, but not convenient to any local needs. And taxis were 15e each trip into town, so 30e roundtrip. NOT worth it. Had a hot tub on patio, but covered for No use. No real heat, you use the AC at a high temp, the one in the bedroom area did not get warm. Would I stay again, probably not.

The owners were insanely nice. The dog on property was so cute! Recommendations for restaurant was amazing. Fira was very walkable. Took their car service to oia since we were tired and it was perfect. Hot tub was Fantastic. There were other guests that were very disruptive one evening and I felt bad for the owners dealing with that, I thought they dealt with the situation VERY well. It didn't impact our stay. Breakfast was nice and the view is beautiful ❤️ The owners make you feel like it's your home away from home.

Liked: good parking space, away from the high traffic area of imerovigli but within 15 minutes walking distance to Fira, 24 hour convenience store within 5 minute walking. Rooms are clean, nice view of the valley. Fast Wi-Fi. 15 minutes drive from airport.
Did not like: hotel is very old, need to use old fashioned room key, bathrooms are really small(I am a very thin guy and I found it very tight to manoever), you have to turn hot water heater on and wait for 15-20 minutes before you get hot water for shower, furniture in room is old. They bring the breakfast to your room every morning but it’s the exact same thing (corn flakes, mild, sort of warm coffee, white bread etc..), there is no microwave in the room. On the first morning , despite telling the reception that we wanted breakfast at 9am they didn’t deliver, we had to remind them twice. There is no phone in room to connect you to the lobby. Reception closes at 9pm. They pick you up and drop you off from port or airport for a fee which needs to be paid in cash which they reveal after the pick up or drop off is completed.

Including providing transportation to/from the ferry port and arranging for our rental car to be delivered and picked up from the hotel. Accommodations were comfortable, though a bit tight on the loft area. Very happy with our stay!

The suites were lovely and super clean. Room cleaning was everyday offered to us unless if we said otherwise. The reception service was very helpful and very nice in offering early check-in and later checkout when we asked; a special thank you to Mario which helped us in booking tours and renting the car with a trusted company, he was super professional and friendly, speaking Italian, Spanish, english. The property is nice but most importantly, our host, Mario, went beyond his means to meet our expectations. The hotel is 5 to 10 minutes walk from Fira and Imerovigli so no transportation is needed unless you want to go to Oía. Great view away from the crowd.

Great location and amazing views. The unit was great for our family (wife and 2 teenage daughters) as it provided two separate sleeping areas for us to spread out. Yiannis was great at giving us advice on locations to visit and offering tours for our stay in Santorini.

We liked the independant rooms with exterior doors. The view was a great west looking overlook, to sse the sunset just had to cross the street and go up by the church. The included room service breakfast was great. We ate out fron on the little patio every morning. The hot tub was only so so, water was a little murky so we asked to have it changed and they did without question, but even then it seemed there was a lot of sandy debris in the tub. The cover was a little difficult to handle as well. Overall a great spot, we loved it.

This property is a must, Katya is AMAZING, what a star!! It’s quiet and has an amazing view of the sunrise over the sea - from your hot tub!!! Breakfast in your room, easy parking and out of the high tourist craziness of Fira & Oia but super easy to get to both places - 20 min walk to Fira! Easy access to the trail hike to Oia! Rooms are spacious and comfortable! Even the shower has a view - totally recommend!

The hotel is located on the east view of the Aegean not the Cordillera. It is aging but in good shape overall. Minimal furniture in room and e bathroom is very basic. Room was clean and quiet. Beautiful grounds and setting. Hot tub was extra cost but not working properly. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our time there.
