I really loved staying here. Sarah at the front desk was so kind and helpful and the location was amazing. The room was large and super clean. The free lido across the street was fabulous. My only negative was that on Friday night the club nearby was so loud that even with all the windows shut, I could not sleep until they shut down which was past 1 in the morning.

The hotel feels outdated for the price. There’s no pool on-site—you have to walk about 100 meters to a nearby beach club, which was closed when we arrived and is quite small.

Reception didn’t provide the Wi-Fi password or mention the towels for the beach club, so we had to return to the front desk to get them.

Breakfast was okay, but it really should be included in the room rate.

Access to the Peter Pan beach club is technically included, but the staff there were rude, and if you want a front-row lounge chair, it’ll cost you an extra 45 euros.

Also, note that there’s no elevator.

Excellent location for beach and Cefalu old town - breakfast good, but not much bacon and egg- had to ask for it to trooped up a lot. A noisy club outside and next door. Music DJ until 3am every night and no handle on outside of door to balcony a problem. Roller blinds good, but no curtains and just a voile and shutters was a little inconvenient. Good location and facilities, clean and tidy Room key a little awkward as took a while to work!

Loud music in the bar opposite. The staff at the hotel were great as is the hotel. However, if you want to sleep before 2 am, forget it. So annoyed with this and the incessant drum beat club music that penetrates the hotel room that we were in. Wont be going baçk. There is no pool in the hotel although there is free access to a Lido 100 metres away.

There is no coffee or tea, neither is there any drinking water nor a boiler, the only way to get drinking water is to purchase through reception which is ridiculous. Considering it as a 4-star hotel it is quite old, a light switch is broken and wires inside are uncovered. The sink is also cracked open posing a danger. Air conditioning is very weak and not cool at all. Definitely not worth the price, avoid at all costs.

The staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with a variety of different foods to choose from.
My only complaint I have is the uncomfortable bed, the mattress is extremely hard.
I will definitely recommend staying here.

I want to point out: there are no swimming pool nor hot tub. It was important for me. On another hand, the location is perfect. Short walk from the train station. Mostly, flat. Big grocery store within 600 metras. You can have your breakfast on a terrace, looking on a blue water of the sea. Breakfast very fulfilling.

Very nice family run hotel in a great location. Close for walking to old town in 15 minutes. We had a large room with private balcony and partial ocean view. Easy to park in their large lot. You get free beach chairs and towels included at a very nice beach across the street and use of the swimming pool at a neighboring hotel. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with all sorts of options including three kinds of eggs, cereals, yogurts, cheeses, meats, juices, croissants, etc, etc
A great place for us.

Pros: across from beach with reserved sunbeds, walking distance to city center, good breakfast.
Cons: rundown rooms: shower rusty, ants in room, broken blow dryer, poorly maintained air conditioner.
Amenities not as depicted: no hot tub and no nearby pool as shown.
Poor experience: I had 2 rooms rundown as described above. AC was not functioning in one room and flooded in the other room. Staff did address issues. Also there is a cafe/bar that has very loud music playing until 1:00 am which made sleep difficult. NOT FOUR STAR establishment in my opinion.

Well located hotel, near the beach where you have free access to chairs and parasols. Swimming pool by the sea a five-minute walk away. Bord walk to get to the very beautiful old town. Very good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Basic room, very narrow bed and mattress too firm. Smashed patio chairs! suggestion: Offer a free bottle of water

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was easy, in an overgrown lot next to the hotel. Breakfast was good and caffè great. The rooms are a bit dated and worn down. Meets 3 star expectations though. Not a luxury property but a 15-minute walk from the downtown area and very accessible to the beach. Recommend.

Positives were: Good location, nicestaff and clean rooms. Negatives: Bad pillows, hotel pool closed as was the hotels private beach. We had to argue for complimentary lido usage during our stay. Breakfast was limited but that was mainly due to COVID restrictions and this perfectly normal.

Spend a week in Hotel Villa Gaia, lovely hotel across from the beach, short walk to town. Breakfast was great, WiFi and air conditioning in the room all fine. Rooms very clean.
Beach towels available to hire from reception. Reception staff were wonderful.
Cefalu is a fabulous place for a relaxing beach holiday.

The standard was excellent except that the room I was given had a shower that did not function ie the water was tepid (this was at 8 a.m), at best....most guests would have deemed it 'cold'...and it was, but am trying to be generous! Also my shower hose was full of leaking holes so it was impossible to use shower properly...I gave up in the end and washed at the bathroom sink. I did report this the following morning but it is impossible to believe that this has not been reported before, it was so bad. Such a shame, as otherwise it was a nice room rather noisy at night possibly from the fridge, I was crawling around at gone midnight trying to work out where the loud humming was coming from...couldn't find a fridge plug or would have turned it off. In the end, I settled for using my ear plugs and diving under the bed clothes.
The lack of a decent shower would make it a 'no return' place from my perspective.....this shower was so deficient that it must have been mentioned many times before yet they have done nothing about it.

Location was very good,with beach access with club facilities.Also handy to old town with its great atmosphere and numerous excellent restaurants.
The breakfast at the hotel was also exceptional with a large variety including fresh fruit.
The staff went out of their way to assist in every capacity.

Lovely place in an excellent location

The reception staff were excellent, very efficient and helpful with someone always being there. The room was clean and had a nice balcony with a view of the sea. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options. The hotel was facing the beach, with free sunbeds provided, and it was really in a nice location, a short walk from the bars and restaurants in cefalu. Would definitely stay here again.

A little bit of paradise

Everything was great about this hotel. The location was perfect. Across the street from the beach. Walking to everything. We parked the car and did not use it until time to leave. Breakfast was very good, served outside with ocean view. The staff couldn't be nicer. All spoke English and ready to help and give recommendations. High marks for all.

Not located as close to the old town as I would have liked but it was a pleasant stroll along the beach to reach the historic sites and buildings.

Very nice staff, hotel was clean and pleasant.

Difficult to reach because of one-way streets. Hotel has a great parking lot next door. We thought the breakfast was nice. We were only there from late evening to early morning, so our impression was fleeting. But we would probably be willing to stay there again.

Great location in Cefalu'

The room itself can use some updating. We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Hoever the metal window shutters were stuck at half open position. We could get under it to enjoy the balcony but it would have been nice had it been fixed. Also, the shower head did not stay on the holder so one had to hold it while showering. Other than that I would recommend this hotel. Teh staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent. The breakfast was good (except for the coffee). They had coffee out of a machine that was not drinkable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Gaia and would stay there again.

Nice Hotel!

A short walk from the train station, this hotel is across the street from the sea and an easy walk to the duomo, museum and other Cefalu sights. Giorgio was very kind to us throughout our stay. The breakfast was quite good, too.

Stayed for two nights, fantastic location to the beach, the old city, and especially the towns up in the hills. We were blown away by the hill towns. As for the hotel, generally very good but with a few quirky features. Georgio was a good host, very warm and welcoming. However, you have to pay for wifi which only works in the public area. Could be more generous I think. Also no tea making facilities in the room, had to rely on Georgio which is fine as long as you don't want tea before 7 in the morning. But overall, a good stay.

Better than expected!

When I first booked this hotel, I thought it was a 3 star and looked fine for a one-night stay. But when I arrived, I discovered it was a 4 star hotel and had been upgraded and had obviously had an overhaul! My room was exceptional with a side-view of the beach. The staff were very friendly and couldn't have done more for us. It is possible to hire an umbrella and sun-loungers on the beach through the hotel, which is very convenient. I was to travel on to another location the following day, but changed my plans and stayed an extra night in this hotel as I enjoyed it and Cefalu, so much. I would recommend it to anyone!

Loved every moment!

I can recommend this hotel to anyone. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with anything we asked. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms very modern with twin'sparkly' basins - we needed a university degree to understand the shower but after asking for a demo and soaking the giggling demonstrater we were ok!

If I was to return to Cefalu, which I hope to do in the future, I would not hesitate to return to the Villa Gaia.

Não voltaria, fomos enganados

Chegamos antes do horário do check in e a recepcionista nos autorizou ir para o quarto, ficamos muito gratos. O hotel é antigo e não condiz com 4 estrelas. Boa localização , 15 min a pé até o centro.
A principal foto do hotel é a piscina e pasmem, não tem piscina no hotel o que nos deixou bem decepcionados. E foi nos dado um papel para a “praia particular” em frente , não era praia particular, era um beach club sem vaga para nós . Ignoraram o papel e disseram que estavam cheios mesmo com várias cadeiras vazias. Voltamos mais tarde e continuaram dizendo que estavam lotados o que também nos decepcionou.
A recepcionista fica ao telefone e nos deixa esperando, sem noção . Ao chegar e ao sair com o carro ela avisa que abrirá o portão da garagem e não abre me obrigando a descer do carro e ir de volta na recepção solicitar que abra. O café da manhã é bom .
O colchão duro ( de um modo ruim) e roupas de cama ásperas. Nisso quarto era grande e tem uma varandinha.

Le charme à l'italienne au bord de la mer

Idéalement situé face à la plage de Cefalu, nous avons apprécié le checking dès 13h30 qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement de la ville et de la plage avec notre voiture en sécurité sur le parking de l'hôtel. L'hôtesse d'accueil parlant très bien le français c'était un plus très agréable pour la compréhension. Après une visite de la ville nous avons pu profiter de transats au Lido Peter Pan pour se reposer après la baignade. Le petit déjeuner était très complet et très bon. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel pour un séjour au calme près de la mer.

God beliggenhet, men at hotellet har basseng og egen strand er feil. Bassenget tilhører et annet hotell og man må ha kupong for å få tilgang. Det samme gjelder stranden, her får du kupong til inngang på en strandklubb i nærområdet. På én natts overnatting får du bare kupong for dagen du ankommer og ikke dagen du sjekker ut, så vær obs på det. De er svært restriktive med å få utdelt kuponger, så ikke regn med å bruke både basseng og strand som du vil. Hotellet tar deg tilbake til tidlige nittitallet, men er ellers rent.
