The pool area needs a spray as the ants crawled all over us and were nesting in the chairs.
The bed was not comfortable but the room was nice.
Restaurant food is limited especially for breakfast and we found a hair in our satay!
Staff were excellent at both front desk and restaurant.

We stayed at Bumi 4, what a paradise! Bed and pillows were comfortable, bathroom is nice and big. Living room is big with a great pool view. Amenities to cook are limited.
Although the bathroom and rooms could have a bit of renovation (ceiling, AC). Saw some reviews from people complaining about the bugs in the villa, hey, what are you expecting? you're in a island, embrace and enjoy this beautiful place.

Hotel unfortunately full of dampness therefore very unpleasant dampness smell which is also very unhealthy.
We could only stay one night, couldn’t cope with dampness smell of our villa. They were very kind to refund remaining 4 nights.

The place to stay in Ubud

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were always do friendly and accommodating. It was nice to be a little outside the hustle and bustle of central Ubud and the regular shuttle made getting in and out from town convenient. There were environmental designs that saved energy which we really appreciated. The pool and spa bath provided welcome relief and refresh after exploring. Our only criticism would be that a dinner set and extra towels would have been helpful.

Over all my experience and the property was great! It was more than I could ask for. From the unique room entries to the outdoor walkway from the bedroom to the living room and outdoor pool. It was amazing!

The ONLY thing i say they need to work on is CLEAN THE TOILET/TOILET SEAT!!! It looks and smells like they haven’t cleaned it in months. I took a wipe to see if it was just looks or actual uncleaned and it was definitely in cleaned!!! The cleaners just put the cover down and ignore it. At this point either replace the seat altogether or do a super deep clean. The seat should be spotless white and nothing else. It was disgusting and I hated when I had to use the bathroom. Also they have toilet deodorants please use it AFTER you deep clean the toilets. It should smell fresh after each guest.

We recently stayed at Ubud Green and had a generally mediocre experience. The location is great, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and kind. They offer a shuttle every two hours to and from Ubud Palace, which we found very convenient. We booked the private pool premiere rice fields view villa.

However, there were a few things that could be improved. Upon entering our room, we noticed about 8 mosquitoes inside. While we understand that mosquitoes are common in Bali, having so many in the room was a bit surprising. We contacted the staff, and they promptly gave us a spray, which helped, but my wife still had trouble sleeping due to concerns about mosquito bites.

The most disappointing part was the condition of the sheets, towels and bathtub, which was clearly not clean. This really detracted from the overall experience. There was stains on the bed sheets and towels.

The whole experience made the stay feel far from the 5-star experience the hotel claims to offer.

Overall, it’s a nice place if you’re just looking for a place to rest at night, but don’t expect a luxury resort experience.

This was our first time to Bali and our first stop on our honeymoon.
We were greated by the friendly team and even surprised by the rose petals spelling out happy honeymoon on our bed.

Food was awesome and service was great!
Drinks were very affordable and the happy hour specials were tasty!

My stay at this property was fine.
I visited during Nyepi and on a positive note this property did supply food service and optional activities during this day of lockdown. I was a bit surprised at how much general conversation was being had between staff memebers in common areas on this supposed day of silence.
Cleanliness was ok, however I did have to ask the receptionist to have my villa serviced after being assured this had all been finished. Simple things were over looked such as including forks when relacing cutlery, I didn't find the staff particularly helpful when it came to advice of getting around or booking attractions, these may all seem small issues, I am simply not a fan of having to tell people to do their job.
All in all, I felt I could have stayed at any number of other properties in the same area and perhaps had a better experience.

Superb stay !

We had a 6-night stay in a 2-bedroom villa with pool overlooking the rice paddies and it was absolutely superb! Staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The villa was huge and cleaned exceptionally well every day. The onsite restaurant was very well priced both for the breakfast each morning or for dinner on a couple of evening when we ate there. There is a shuttle that runs the 1.6km into Ubud palce and return numerous times a day and into the evening. Would def recommend staying here!

Ubud Green is a beautiful private villa resort. It was so quiet and although two thirds booked, we felt like the only people there. The views of the rice fields were spectacular. The premiere rice field view villa felt so private but at the same time, felt like we were immersed in the jungle and rice fields. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We stayed for a week and absolutely loved the villa. The only things missing from the villa was a tea towel to dry the dishes, no face washers in the bathroom and the water in the kitchen tap only ran cool. Otherwise it was beautiful and we will definitely be back next year. Thank you so much 🙏 Nikki and Matt

I did not realised the age of this property at the time of booking. Photos looks really amazing and reviews wasn’t bad either. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by the Villa. Ubud green is 12 years old therefore it’s aged a lot. Photos on the website must have been taken 12 years ago. Bathroom is nowhere near as in their photos! Staff are really friendly and helpful except one really rude Butler and there’s where the good part ends! Our Villa, Bayu 2 has lots of ants on the deck and wall of the pool area. Despite the help of the staff the ants are always there. Small ants, black bull ants you name it. By the 3rd day of our stay we woke up to a pool of termites and red ants in our bathroom by the door. Bring your own towels as most of their towels are stained and linen is abit greyish as well. I have taken heaps of photos of the Villa but I’ve decided not to shame them as they have kindly let us use their spare bed and a complimentary massage. You do get a few lizards and frogs as well which I guess it’s just part of Ubud’s nature. Overall, not a very pleasant stay and location is right bang in the middle of traffic congestion which is abit frustrating!

A wonderful place to base yourself in Ubud away from the chaos of the Main Street.

We stayed in the two bed room villa Type B, with a private pool and overlooking the rice paddies. The villa was well appointed and looked after by housekeeping well. The pool was cooler than those out on direct sun but we used it every day to cool off after a busy day.

The shuttle service is very convenient and we ate breakfast every day and dinner on two nights at Firefly. The staff were attentive and so helpful. There is also a convenience store next door, three Warungs within five minutes walk and two cafe/restaurants which we tried out and enjoyed. We also got a dozen items laundered for about $25 which was very convenient.

The Good: Staff was wonderful. Villa was located 10 min drive out from town. Good that there was a free shuttle. Used Gojek a few times as well. Lovely green surroundings. You feel part of nature here. Ubud is an amazing destination.

Villa is a good size and had nice views of the rice fields outside.

We used laundry service and everything came back the next day, clean and folded.

The Cons: The Villa we had was very tired, and hence a 3 star rating given. One issue was how loud the crickets and insects were at night. It was louder in the upper bedroom and difficult to sleep due to the lack of sound proofing. There were three TVs but all lacked decent reception. Pool was cold with lack of sunshine to it, but in a way refreshing to have a cold dip. Restaurant was OK but would not recommend the margarita pizza. Lower bedroom separated and needing to walk outside was inconvenient, as well as having to manage three different keys.

The staff were always helpful and respectful (even moving a frog that showed up at night at our door; I have frog phobia).

I would more than recommend this place to anyone. The place was clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and it was exactly what I was looking for in a Balinese vacation.

It was a fantastic place to relax and unwind after touring the areas and culture.

They also offer free shuttles to the city centre which is great!

A beautiful resort with amazing customer service

We stayed at this resort for a week and we absolutely loved it. The room and grounds were beautiful and clean. We had a villa with a private pool which was perfect after a day exploring Ubud and the surrounding areas. The location was nice and quiet but not far from town. The courtesy shuttle made it easy to get about. The staff were all great and very friendly.

The one downside was the Firefly restaurant. Although the service was great we only ate breakfast and dinner there once as the food was average at best. There is an amazing restuarant called Muse that ia a short 2 minute walk away though.

Here’s why:
Salsa (reservation): Prompt email reply as soon as I booked the hotel. Every question was answered immediately, and I arranged the airport and drop-off pickup so that my vacation was worry-free and as smooth as possible. We arrived very early (around 1 am), and our room was available.
Bagus (reception): He ensures the check-in process is as quick as possible. We were in our room sleeping from a long flight in a matter of minutes. Very accommodating indeed. Outstanding Job!!!
Pila (morning reception): Always on her toes, helping and assisting guests to ensure that guests are well taken care of.
Koma (room service): Pleasing personality and very courteous with guests. Extremely respectful!!

Servers, chefs, waiters, and waitresses that I forgot their names were equally excellent in providing significantly over-the-top customer service!!!

I don’t usually do this, but I was very, very happy with the service, cheap food, exquisite cuisine, reasonable hotel stay, and the large room that I am planning on coming back and staying at the same hotel TWICE!!!

Great value for the money!!!

We stayed in a two bedroom villa for 2 nights was originally 3 but had no wifi the second day so my teenage daughters were having a melt down. Villas overlook rice terraces which is nice and you feel like ur in nature. The villas are a bit tired the pool was cold as it’s situated in the shade. Food was average but staff were friendly and welcoming. A bit of a hike into ubud but have a shuttle which was handy.

Dads room was upstairs with the stairs to get up was outside only, no inside stairs and had no toilets or bathroom upstairs so he had to come downstairs in the rain to go to the bathroom. 😡.

Excellent little jem with helpful and friendly staff. Good transfer service too and from Ubud town centre which is only a couple of kms away, being given a local mobile phone is a nice touch and free bottled water. The view of the rice field and jungle from our pool was very relaxing and serene. The private pool villas are joined together so you get a hear what your neighbours are up to but for the most part everyone was very quiet.

If you’re booking a pool villa, make sure you check that it has a view. Ours was walled in with no outlook, so we could have been anywhere. It felt a bit stifling.
There was a 30cm long gecko living in our ceiling, which would poke its head out and poo on the floor.
Daily housekeeping was inconsistent and the mini bar was not restocked.
The Americano breakfast was generous.
The restaurant views are nice and it is open on the sides to let in the breeze. Food is average. Pizzas were appalling.
I had two massages in the Spa, which were excellent.

We booked the 2 bedroom duplex for 2 persons. The pool doesn’t get much sun therefore making it cold. We had a look at the 1 bedroom Pool Suites only to find these actually have 2 bedrooms 1 x QB and 1 x Single bed, which were much nicer and the pool gets full sun with an amazing view of the rice fields. The staff were quite accommodating and let us move to the 1 bedroom suite. Staff were fantastic and view and location was great.

Such a peaceful sanctuary

The Ubud Green Resort is fantastic and absolutely beautiful with lots of greenery to present a peaceful sanctuary, with well commissioned villas and landscaping. We spent most of our time staying in at the Villa with private pool as the space is very comfortable with modern facilities. We totally enjoyed our stay here, being tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Bali town while had the convenience of taking the free shuttle to the town area whenever we feel like it. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to be pampered with a relaxing getaway.

Property was lovely and I liked the fact it was not in the heart of Ubud.
They offer a shuttle to take you into town and is free of taken on the set departure/pick up times, but you can also pay a minimal fee to get a pick up outside of this.
Check in was a bit of a drama as they required the print out confimation, however recetion did have a list of names of guests due to check in, so not sure why this was an issue. (especially when arriving at 10pm after travelling all day)
We were also there when Lombok had another one of their larger Earthquakes and no one from reception called to check if we were OK.

Excellent villas in the rice fields

This is our second stay at Ubud Green and it was just as good as the first some years ago. The staff are attentive and provide excellent service. The food is very good but we only had breakfast eating out in Ubud for all other meals. The hotel offers shuttle services and personal taxi service at cheap rates. They also provide guests with a mobile phone to call the hotel when wishing to be collected. A really nice touch.

The room has wash clothes and soap when we checked in but these were never replaced after the first night. Be sure to book a villa with a private pool. No common area pool to hang out at. Food in the dinning room was sub par. On the upside, staff were great. All were very friendly and helpful. Staff helped us book everything we wanted to do in town. The location is good. Nice and quiet, just a bit out of town. Too far to walk into town but taxis were cheap and available at 50 rupiah from town back to hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle

The hotel is located about 5-7 minutes' drive from Jalan Raya Ubud, which is where all the action is. If you walk to the hotel from Jalan Raya Ubud, it'll take about 20-25 minutes as it's a winding road that doesn't always have a pavement and has some blind turns which can be a little dangerous. In the end, we used the hotel shuttle for our trips into central Ubud, which were convenient and dependable. It ran every 2 hours and made 2 stops, one at the famous Monkey Forest sanctuary, and another near the Ubud Palace. We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa. The villa is showing signs of wear - it is a 5-year old hotel - but the staff do their best to keep it clean and fresh every day. In line with the their eco-friendly approach, the roofs of the villas are covered with plants, which does mean that you may encounter tiny bugs and worms in the open-air sections of the villa. We had 2 adorable resident frogs in the garden and geckos on the wall, but they basically stayed out of our way. Having stayed at 5-star resorts in Ubud, I must say that Ubud Green does have its own charm. It has everything that we wanted (the extensive TV movie channels were great for staying in when the tropical thunderstorms happen) and the hotel's Firefly restaurant served excellent food that kept us coming back day after day. Ubud Green Resort is a fantastic place to stay just to kick back, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the resort. The villa was fantastic but the biggest feature were the staff. Helpful, friendly and always able to help.

You can rent a car with a driver at the hotel. The hotel will advise you some tours.

nice rooms, challenging door locks!

lovely rooms and space and private pool, ideal for couples. I went with my daughter, her friend and mum and it was probably too boring for them, they much preferred sharing a pool (when we were in Semniyak) and being walking distance to beach and shops. Yes, we could not walk to the shops, and the locks on the doors were challenging, and the service very slow.

But it was a very lovely spot, and the staff were very lovely and I think it would be a perfect place to stay with a lover or husband!

Beautiful rain forest feel.

Amazing staff, food and rooms. So friendly and clean. We were offered free bike hire to go look around. Also free pick up if you get lost around the Ubud area and were provided with a mobile phone to contact the hotel if ever we were out and needed help.

The villa is very spacious. It's is actually laid out in separate buildings: bedroom with en suite bathroom, separate bedroom, and living room/kitchenette/dining room. The pool is small and about 3' deep. The pool deck is very small. The staff were not as friendly compared to other hotels in Ubud. They refused to call a taxi/private transport, and instead insisted on their own hotel transport to Seminyak for an exorbitant price. The breakfast was not good and gave me severe food poisoning one day. With all the other great options in Ubud, stay elsewhere.

We had a fantastic view over rice fields from our pool and room. Staff were great and very friendly. They took us to a traditional market as part of our cooking lesson. The food and service was exemplary.

Great small and serene resort in Ubud

The staff was friendly and professional to our family of 3. The resort is small and serene and has lots of privacy. The property is tended to daily and rooms are clean. Our beds were firm (standard throughout Asia) but not overly so, and we slept well each night. The 2-bedroom villas (and perhaps other room types) have different buildings for the living room/kitchenette (includes dishes/one cook top/fridge) and bedrooms, which are connected by a partially covered courtyard; each building has an a/c unit and sliding glass doors. Wifi is free and worked well. Each unit has its own hot water heater. Umbrellas are provided with each room. The small private pools are about 3 feet deep. Room service is free and generally quick (30 min or less). Restaurant menu is substantial (we were there 5 nights and easily could've ordered something different for lunch and dinner everyday) and caters to Western and Eastern palates; by Western restaurant standards, the food is well-priced (but maybe more expensive than eating at local restaurants?). We had hot stone massages and loved the experience. The resort's free shuttle for town runs every 2 hrs from about 10am-10pm (?); pick ups/drop offs at other times are possible. We were issued a simple cell phone to call the hotel for pick ups from town (dialing other Bali numbers may also be possible). It's a 15-20 min walk to downtown Ubud. Our 7 year old loved Ubud Green; it would also be a great escape for single travelers or couples.

We recently rented a villa @ ubud green. From the welcome drink to the afternoon teas and beautiful setting, it was a wonderful experience. The villa was spectacular with it's plunge pool and I miss waking up to the crane's and other birds in the rice fields. The villa was beautiful away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Thoroughly recommend it.

Hotel lives up to its commitment !

Had an issue while booking since the actual details of the room differed from the one published on Hotels.com. while the website, as usual, didn't do a thing, the hotel accepted and allotted the room we thought we had actually booked.

The hotel stands to its name - every view around it is of one colour - GREEN !! Enjoyed our stay, hope we had more vegetarian options to eat at the hotel.

We rented a 2 bedroom villa with plunge pool and the room had spectacular views over rice fields. During the week of our stay we spent many hours enjoying the ducks hunting for frogs through the day and relaxing in the outdoor spa tub with our own little villa frogs that were also residents :) The staff was friendly, courteous, kitchen made excellent meals and breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately - hotels.com shows the hotel being 0.6 km from the ubud market but it is almost 2km away so we were not able to walk into town as we had hoped. However, the hotel shuttle was very accommodating which runs up until 10pm.

Great hotel in Ubud!

Really great hotel, friendly staff, clean, they even give you a phone for local usage. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to Ubud, but they also include a convenient shuttle bus which will pick and drop you off fairly frequently. They don't have a public pool, but some of the rooms have private pools! Be sure and choose one of those if you want to swim. Really beautiful hotel, they give you a fresh newspaper each morning and the breakfast is fantastic!

Very impressed. Stayed 7 days with a private pool and a view of the rice paddies. Private and relaxing. Clean and well furnished. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Seems that nothing is too much trouble. Food and service at the restaurant was excellent. A fine choice of breakfasts included in the price which was very reasonable considering the quality of the room and amenities. Reception was welcoming and friendly. Transport to and from the main street (about 2 kms) was regular and punctual with air conditioned comfort and more smiles. Highly recommend this establishment.

Spectacular views from our own private pool

We had a lovely stay at Ubud Green. The villas are beautiful and very well appointed. The room was generally clean but the bathroom was showing a little bit of age and needed a bit of renovation. Also the floor under the kitchen sink had a cracked tile (Bumi 2). The view from the restaurant was amazing so peaceful with lovely fresh juice concoctions (an Ubud speciality). The food was perhaps a little disappointing with the savory dishes being under seasoned and a bit bland. Overall however a lovely stay in a fantastic town.

We had a nice stay at the villa. The staff from front desk to housekeeping to shuttle drivers were very nice. Location is right on rice fields. Complimentary shuttle to town every 2 hours use the provided cell phone to call front desk for pickup outside the complimentary period(small fee of $4), complimentary continental breakfast ordered through the restaurant, complimentary 15 minute welcome massages. Nice setting with view of rice field and ducks passing by.
