For business, I had to checkout of the hotel, but I checked back in a few days later. My only issue with my second stay was the AC wasn't running cold so I was a little hot at night. Nothing too bad though. The cleaning staff was great too.
My second stay was just as enjoyable as the first. I needed an airport transfer so I settled on a time, when I went to check with the transfer company, the told me it would be better to leave earlier due to intense traffic. I'm so glad they informed me so I could change the leave time.

Checking in was super easy and the front desk staff was very friendly. I got my warm cookie and went to my room. The room was decent. I wish there was an outlet besides the bed, but bring a USB-A if you want to charge your devices bedside. The room was cold and the shower was hot. Which made for a pleasant stay. The breakfast had a large variety of items, made to order eggs and pancakes. The staff, I can't say how much I loved the staff. Very professional, they remembered me from day to day, even my coffee order overall adding to the great stay i had at the hotel. The hotel is located inside of another building with some restaurants and shops. It's also located in what appeared to be an industrial area. So access to anything outside of catching a rideshare/taxi/Uber is necessary. The airport transfer needs to be scheduled before hand which they seem to be pretty flexible and accommodating. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Room not clean and slow restaurant service.

Room was standard looking. Floor was not swept on first day, then realized a dirty towel was on the rack. When I talked to the front desk they said sorry but no solution to rectify it. I then had to phone down to get my towel replaced. Next day, the floor was still not swept with debris like cereal on the floor. Window howled for the wind as wouldn’t seal, we had to put a bag around the seal to stop it. Service at the restaurant in the evening was very slow, had to keep asking for things like condiments or cutlery. They forgot one person’s meal completely. Morning breakfast was good and so was the service. No real common area to play games with friends. Location was good with a small convenience store nearby. Shuttle service was good. Room was not to standard for the price. Would not stay here again.

Disappointingly Dirty, StainedCarpets for a Hilton

This was my second stay at the Hilton. While the hotel room is great and staff very friendly, the are where the hotel is located is not great. I feel safe and comfortable driving there alone during the day but not so much at night.
On this stay my room was prepared to my standards as allergy free and very neat, clean and comfortable. The combo door where the safe was could not be easily opened and closed. What I was very disappointed about was that on the 2nd floor where I was, the corridor carpets were absolutely filthy, stained and unhygienic. It needed a thorough spring cleaning! This level of filth is not in keeping with Hilton hotels as I have stayed in many across the world.

I was extremely happy with this hotel. The room was excellent, the food was great and the Service was awesome. Please book all your tours with Mr.Abrahams, he made my stay a whole lot easier, he's the life off this hotel and I will definitely go back here because off him. Maliq was very helpful and Anieka in housekeeping was awesome. This is my new found family at Double Tree Cape Town.

A pretty good experience overall

My experience was good overall. Most of the staff was helpful and polite. I did notice however that they treat the white Americans a bit better than Black Americans (friendlier, chattier, engaging), not sure why. The location was definitely more urban, but I felt safe. Grocery store, gas station, a few restaurants, and the highway were all in close proximity. The room was extremely spacious and clean. If I return to Cape Town, this is where I'll likely stay.

One frustrating problem but overall was good.

We stayed over the long weekend for 3 nights recently. We last minute booked one of the suits on 5th floor.

We enjoyed our stay and the price per night is quite reasonable. The room is very big. There is plenty of unsecured underground parking to park your car but you’d need to pay an extra R60 per night as that isn’t included in your room fees. The room is clean and everything is functional.

The location is fine, it was a 10-15 minute drive from everywhere we wanted to go. We had a car so we were fine with the location.

The only downfall I’d say is that the cleaning lady comes ringing your doorbell then banging on your door every single day at 8.30am then proceeds to open your door when you fail to answer immediately asking to clean your room, which I don’t understand. I’ve never been to a hotel where they ask to clean your room that early in the morning. This is highly frustrating because you’re on holiday and you want to sleep in. On our second morning there she came knocking and opening the door twice and second time at around 10am. On our last day there (check out day), she came knocking and opening again at 8.30am. Not sure how this hotel functions but normally no one bothers you until check out time which was 11am.

Management really needs to look into this issue and allow your guests to sleep in.

* With rolling electricity outages on daily basis, not all rooms were on emergency power: Air conditioners do not work then and windows do not open. This creates a little sauna. Hotel was not upfront with these challenges upon booking.
* Hotel is situated in secluded area away from shops, restaurants and attractions. Area appeared unsafe.
* Poor maintenance: We rented two rooms both had broken toilet seats, curtain had holes and basin was blocked, poor water pressure.
* Staff excellent.
* Breakfast mundane.

This is a great location. I was able to contact the hotel for a airport transfer and there is a travel assistance to assist with tours.

Beware this association is not with the hotel.

Thee is a hotel shuttle to the waterfront, be sure to use it.

Overall, great experience!!!

This strange hotel is located in an industrial area in a bad dangerous part of town for starts. Don't expect to walk outside it's just not safe. If you have a car you are forced to pay their scam parking garage high prices. Nothing seems to work here and when you bring it to the staff's attention a remedy never seems to happen. Because of the location, it's hard to hire and retain good employees. Spoty slow wifi, electric sockets are so old and used we could not get any of our devices charged. Rooms are dark and half our lights did not work. The area of Wood stock where the hotel is is very windy it's very noisy at night and hard to sleep. Old raggy towels and sheets, dirty old carpets. Not a place I will ever go back to. I was hoping to like this place but it's difficult to. Lamees the front desk manager needs to get out of the hospitality business. Lower management is more concerned about money than a good guest experience.

Room and amnesties were amazing but the staff particularly during dinner were awful, we had the incorrect orders placed and charged incorrectly several times for food.

Management did it notify us about the Load shedding issues in SA and tried to act as though it’s the norm. I expected better communication from Hilton as this was very very poor. Definitely won’t be going back here for that reason alone.

As a South African living in Australia I wasn’t expecting the service to be this excellent because of my overall experience with a lot of South African services. The first room we checked into was dirty, the bathroom was not clean and the carpet in the room was dirty with small pieces of paper scattered around, the room was clearly not cleaned.

The second room had wooden floors so I suppose the dirt was not that visible, when we went out and came back the door key would not work and we waited outside our room for 25 minutes until maintenance came and advised that the battery was flat while in the interim my husband had gone down to reception twice to replace card, I then resorted to phoning the reception from outside my room requesting maintenance
