Great location - very close to CTICC for conferences and the Waterfront for dining, entertainment and shopping options. Their restaurant also had a variety of delicious meal options. Staff were mostly pleasant and helpful. They did have a little roach infestation issue though - not severe- but they should really look into that before it gets out of hand. Despite that, I'd stay again.

I had to deal with a cockroach which was awful . Guest Relations Msnager was defensive when I brought it to his attention saying that it was not unusual for this with rooms that have a balcony. He also side that other hotels had same problem. I told him to take on board my complaint and to address the problem

Everything you need for a quick stay

Right off the main N2 highway so very convenient but at the same time you'll have to drive out into a busy street. Free parking right outside the back entrance of the hotel with security around. Check in was fuss free and the rooms were spacious. Everything was clean and I enjoyed my stay. Only thing was, I thought the hotel safe could be larger as my 15inch laptop couldn't fit.

Excellent Cape Town hotel at good rate &location

Very pleased with this well located hotel within easy walking to the cruise terminals and the Victoria and Albert complex. Lots of restaurants in the area and easy to book a variety of tours.

Cushions on bed to hard.
Floors need a good sweep
Could not connect tv onto netflix, youtube or any other services
Loved the water that was placed in the rooms every day
Room service took nearly two hours... For toasted sandwiches
Saturday morning breakfast was stale.
Toilet in reception area smells like smoke, bad odour and was broken

What a great hotel

What an amazing experience from check in until check out. We stayed there for 10nights. Shaukat is very polite and resolves issues with ease. The chef (Anwar) was extremely accommodating and spoilt my family with his lovely/delicious breakfasts. Maleka thanks for the great hospitality shown. Our security was the best you can find. What a great hotel with great and friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again.

It was okay. Served a purpose. Tv in the room was broken and they couldn't fix it so i was moved. Had to repack and move rooms. A bit painful. The shower was a bit slippery for me, so be careful! Food was excellent when I ate dinner the one night at the hotel. A bit pricey, but okay.

Also I like to put bills on my room and they wouldn't;t let me do that.

Ideal location. Staff are very polite and accommodating and always greet you with warmth and kindness. Convenient. Halaal dining options. Prayer rooms and qibla directions available. Ample places to eat in walking distance and very close to other places such as waterfront. Convenient parking and I felt very safe there.

My recent stay with you did not meet my expectations at all, I was surprised and disappointed to find out upon arrival that the hotel is HALAL!! As a guest I should have been informed about this prior booking.

Additional the room was dirty, phone did not work and the bathroom was absolutely horrendous. Very poorly weathered.

Breakfast buffe was very slobby and variety was poor.

Not a 4 star hotel!! Avoid!

Take time before booking this hotel to decide whether it really is for you for not. As a traveller from the UK this is not a 4 star hotel it is a 2 at best.

I booked for 3 nights and left early to book somewhere else as I wanted to get out.

The rooms smelt of smoke, there was no sheet on the bed, only 1 hard pillow was provided.
The hotel overall was tired and outdated, If you were a solo traveller I wouldn’t feel comfortable staying there alone.

Lovely large room, laptop safe, plenty of cupboard space for business stay. Lots of hot water but very narrow shower (looks like a bath conversion) which was awkward. No mattress protector which was odd. Breakfast was ample and varied. Staff were friendly and professional. Hotel is well appointed and brilliantly positioned across the road from the CTICC.

OK to stay, but don't expect to much

While clean, with friendly staff, the comfort was not optimum: The pillows were hard, and the aircon blew across the bed, and froze one ear.
Avoid eating in for dinner - the food was cold, unimaginative and expensive. There's many restaurants within 10 minutes walk with good food and cheaper.
The daily rates make this an OK stay. I might do it again, with the caveats above. (Bring your own pillow, don't eat in.)

Overall a very pleasant stay. Its near the V and A waterfront and bus routes. However, I would recommend that they replace carpets with tiles and replace the tub with a corner shower.

This hotel is certainly convenient for functions in and around the CTICC which was perfect. The hotel could do with an upgrade as there are some minor repairs needed that become apparent when staying more than one evening. But, overall, I would stay here again.

I was very disappointed. The lack of attention to detail was evident in this hotel. We were booked into a room on the 10th floor. It had a beautiful view of the mountain, but the windows couldn't open as they were welded closed and there was glue residue around the edges. It spoilt the beautiful view the room had to offer. The grout in the shower was moldy and I was not sure I wanted to get into that shower. We asked to be moved to a room with a balcony or where the windows were open. We were moved to a 2nd-floor room which was better, but we found a few cockroaches in our bathroom and I saw a large one at the lifts.
Breakfast was very mediocre.
Despite all this, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The is really experience was great. However the windows didn’t open so there was no ventilation in the room. The aircon unit buttons were missing so was not usable at all. The bathroom door didn’t close at all and I found a cockroach in the room. Although the service was good and breakfast was amazing.

In need of an upgrade (which is happening)

I selected this hotel as it was well priced and close to my work. I realise that it is undergoing a renovation, but I was in one of the still-to-be-renovated rooms. I had a great view and the breakfast was good. The room itself though was like a flashback to the 80s. Dated bathroom, small bed with lumpy pillows, and strange room layout which meant one could only watch TV from the chair by the desk would make me think long and hard before selecting this hotel again.

Home away from home

We arrived a little early and was asked to wait a moment for them to check on our room. About 10 min later we were told our room was ready. Checked in under 5min and was escorted to our room as well.
The room was very spacious and we loved the fact that we got 2 bedrooms in our room as we were a couple and a 3rd adult.

We also had our own bathroom on suite which was great and gave us some privacy as well.

The hotel is currently busy with reservations although it did not cause any inconvenience to us.

Breakfast was amazing and a wide variety of food and lots of it freshly made while you wait for the chefs.

The beds were very comfortable and great water pressure in showers.

Complementary bottle water in the room as well. Nice touch guys.

We will definitely stay here again when we’re in Cape Town.

Will not book this place again.... This place does not deserve a 4 star rating should be a 1 star... This hotel is old everything is old and not well maintained carpets are stained bathroom are old and cramped.... House keeping doesnt even do their job properly.I had to keep on calling for towels and toilet paper after they so call cleaned the room an for a 4 star and not even give proper toilet paper they give cheap 5rand toilet paper.. Breakfast staff look like they don't want to work there... Don't let this hotel fool you only the receptionit area looks nice to fool you

ok hotel for one night

Check in was fast however was allocated a room that was not even ready. The cleaners hadn’t even been in to clean it. Concierge rang reception and they allocated me a different room. No apology. Location is fine and the hotel is ok for one night. Hallways and lifts are very run down and need a refurb.

Very Disappointed

Whilst the staff were friendly and wanted to help and it seems they are doing maintenance and some upgrades, we found the hotel to be tired looking and not very clean. Our bedroom floor was very dirty and even after advising Housekeeping nothing was done about it. The shower drain was blocked, the hot water takes about 15 minutes to arrive in the shower and the balcony door was broken and very difficult to open. We tried having dinner in the restaurant but the menu is extremely limited and ended up eating out each night. Breakfast is reasonable but nothing exciting. We put laundry in on one day and lost a shirt, this was reported to management but nothing was done about it and we were still charged over R400.00 for the laundry and the privilege of them loosing our shirt. Their only reaction was to come to our room and give us a letter telling us not to leave valuables in our room. We are not sure how this relates to them loosing our shirt in their laundry.......

There is parking in front of the hotel but it is on street parking public parking with no security so it is not very secure. We were accosted on two occasions by homeless people begging for money as we were locking up our car.

WiFi is very poor.

We eventually booked out one night early as it was not pleasant being there. We were not offered a discount or rebate for that night even though we had paid upfront for the stay but we were just happy to leave. I would certainly not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Big room and great staff

The rooms were huge and the customer service of the staff are what made this older hotel a great choice. The staff were so friendly and helpful and ensured that I had a great trip, helping me plan my day trips and making reservations for me. Had a really great stay even though the hotel is a bit older.

We stayed for one night and spent most of our time outdoors. The hotel is a bit tired, the carpets are old and being a sinus suffering person, I hardly slept.

The hotel offers shuttles to the waterfront and it is also conveniently located for all the places of interest in CPT.

This hotel is close to nothing much.

On arrival they could not find our booking, finaly found it then showed us a realy bad room with double bed, we had booked twin beds, second floor, looking at the car park. Down at the front desk the reception staff could not look at me or talk to me. They discussed the problem only among themselves, or on the phone. After 3 hours waiting (after a 12 hour flight) we were given a twin room on a higher floor also car park view. The room was not well cleaned. The carpet was badly stained and had crumbs on it.
The mini balcony was home to a nesting pigeon and covered with, you know what.
As it was a holliday time we were paying premium prices, i feel we got very poor value.
