Room was cool, large and well kept by staff. There are some spots that could use some love but that's true for most hotel rooms. Location was good to walk through Foreshore and City Center as well as back from spots like Bo Kaap. Would not recommend walking to that area unless you are an uphill specialist. Getting a taxi was easy for the spots we couldn't walk to easily and it was maybe twenty minutes from the airport with minimal traffic. I could see it being longer during a football match or during rush hour. The shower and bathroom setup make this a spot that couples or singles should stay but could be awkward for friends or work colleagues to share the space. Breakfast was wide ranging and tweaked a little every morning so that was nice too.

The hotel name on the front is not Onomo its Signature Lux hotel, and the (safest) entrance is through the hotel’s restaurant by the plaza. The uber/ public transportation pick up point is on the street side at the end of the plaza (next to the Radisson hotel), it’s about a minute walk.
The rooms are small but clean and the food was great! The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is in a dodgy place there are a lot of homeless people. We got a room facing the plaza and it was noisy, the homeless would make a lot of noise in the middle of the night. I don’t recommend walking on your own to explore the city it’s best to use uber or plan day trips.

I had a wonderful stay! :) I was most impressed with the breakfast options each day. The room was clean and comfortable. The only challenge so-to-speak was parking as parking is limited and there is a daily cost. Overall, wonderdul stay!

In need of a refresh
When I booked in system was offline and that was the Q for what was to come. Stayed on the 9th floor 2 lifts service 10 floors with one lift out for the duration of the stay. Front office staff, including bar and restaurant not very eager to serve. In the end decided to eat elsewhere for the duration of my stay. Area outside of the hotel also worse (vagrants/ beggars) harass you after sundown. A clear decline evident in hotel and immediate surroundings since my last stay.

This was a nice property given the price point. The quality is not luxury but overall it was clean and met our needs. The staff warned us to not walk around the surrounding area with our kids at night, which made it difficult for meals because we ended up having to uber short distances. There was also a mix up with how expedia listed the reservation as flexible, but they had very strict no-cancel policy and were not wiling to budge. Overall the staff was nice. The tour company in the lobby was awesome.

I guess it was okay for the price but that was the most claustrophobic room I’ve stayed in in my life. Just too small, limited TV entertainment. The breakfast scrambled eggs were not very good, but I did request a sunny side up and it was good. So that was one positive.

The hotel was wonderful. I loved the aesthetics. I had a nice little room but I loved. It was very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff was wonderful and accommodating. Only thing I don’t like was the 10am checkout but other than that it was a beautiful comforting experience. I’ll definitely go back.

From the moment I found parking out on the street I was made to feel unsafe. There were beggars knocking on the car window asking for money and food. At the entrance of the hotel the same thing. The area alone is down town and not safe to walk around.
When entering the hotel there was an atmosphere of nobody cares!!!
I asked about the parking that was “available” and was told there is a parking around the back which doesn’t belong to the hotel but we can park there at a cost. Firstly I’ve a rented car and secondly I wouldn’t park the car there as not sure if it will be there in the morning.
Anyways I took the knock and drove off and found a far better hotel where I was at ease knowing I was safe and also could walk around and not having to watch my back every 2 minutes.
I contacted the hotel and explained how I felt about the whole experience and wanted to see if I could get a partial refund. Answer was NO!!!
I’ll put this down to experience and in the future I’ll do more research before booking hotels.

The room was small and spartan. This might be ideal for business clients, but when you are on vacation, you appreciate the creature comforts. Power load shedding is a frequent occurrence, so being placed on a higher level is not ideal in these circumstances. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Security presence is comforting and the bell boys were pleasant and helpful. An inconvenience is that the restaurant is operated separately from the hotel facility and you cannot add your restaurant tab to your hotel bill.

I loved the 8 days I stayed at this great new hotel. Location was perfect - easy walk to the V&A Waterfront and central business district, and also very close to stops for the red and blue line of the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. The breakfasts were excellent and service was always with a smile. The room was small, but I found it perfect for me. Nice to have filtered water from the tap and USB charging ports in the room. I'd definitely stay here if I'm ever in Cape Town again.

Overall a very nice, recently updated property with contemporary rooms that appear typical size for South Africa in the price range. The room and hotel were very clean. The price we paid was quite reasonable. Two negatives. The \"complementary airport shuttle\" runs on a schedule that didn't work for our arrival OR departure flights so we paid $25 plus tip for transportation each way from the airport and back. The return trip was actually $36 because it was before 7:00 am (the first shuttle to the airport was at 10!!!). The only other minor issue was our room included free coffee which I tried to get in the lobby on the way out. The desk employee said refused to give us coffee in the lobby even though he knew we were on a floor that had the same coffee machine as the one in the lobby - strange.

I booked at the last minute for a one night stay. I checked in around 11PM and had no issues; the staff were friendly and helpful even though my reservation did not reflect as confirmed and paid on their end. The hotel room was great and perfect for a one night stay (as reflected on listing).

Relatively fast check in. Helpful staff. We were unpleasantly surprised by the size of the room. I had stayed at the Signature Lux Waterfront the year before which had so much more room to move around. We consoled ourselves with the fact that we’ll be out most of the time. Using the App for service was amazing as I remember being able to request for an iron while out shopping and when we got back it was there waiting for us. Unfortunately though the WiFi calling through the App never worked. It was mostly great service except for one day where we asked for late room service (at 5pm) and we got back to a half cleaned room. It was generally a nice stay but those rooms are really only sufficient enough for one person. The toilet is literally next to the bed! Little privacy. I’ll definitely come back if traveling alone. Paying for parking at the hotel was a bit of a disappointment.

Even though it is in the downtown of Cape Town, the hotel is only 3 star and their rooms are small with no phones to call the front desk. The hotel wanted us to download their hotel app through which they said we could call the front desk but it did not work at all and the app is not user friendly. Honestly for the price i paid i did not expect much, im easy but difficult to please. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. We booked last minute so didn’t have any excursions or anything booked and they were able to call and help us book everything for our 5 day stay.
