The hotel is about 1/2 mile to the edge of V&A waterfront so it’s very walkable. Parking is in a public garage about a block+ away and not included, cost is just 65 Zar a day but no in-n-out. Our room had a balcony facing the back so not much to look at. Bed was quite comfortable. The shower and toilet are in the same area as the bed with frosted glass, pretty but no privacy when doing business! None of our universal adapters work though they had 2 usb ports but no usb c. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Limited drawer space and no closet.

The manager at Onomo was amazing, flexible and genuinely supportive. Most of the staff were also super helpful especially with our bags. We also chose the hotel because we wanted to take photos and the set up onlime made us choose the hotel for our anniversary shoot. When we arrived, the set up was different and we were disappointed but the manager and facilities stepped in. We are so grateful. The hotel is unique and it is in a great location with close proximity to the waterfront, Noble Sq. and many other restaurants and activities.

It was also very easy to get uber rides to and from the location.

The few downsides:
1. They only offer 2 bottles of water when you arrive, and after that you have to pay. We were there for 4 nights!
2. The breakfast was included, which is great but choices were a bit subpar. My husband and I travel a lot and this would be bottom of the lost in terms of spread and options.
3. We left the room in the afternoon and asked for cleaning but when we came back, it was not cleaned. We asked for them to clean and it and staff staff still left a dirty plate and no tissue after cleaning.

The free breakfast was a plus! Changed our initial preconceptions about traveling to Africa. Cape Town is beautiful and we will be back!

on arrival, my first room on 3rd floor had a serious drip under the aircon conduit.
reception were great and moved me to 607.
The aircon was noisy and not very controllable.
The building steel I bars intrude into the room which aesthetically is interesting, but I did bang my head in the bathroom more than once. 1st time almost knocking myself out.

Very nice stay near the waterfront

We booked this primarily for the location near the waterfront and ability to get Ubers for transportation. The entire staff (front desk, restaurant) were extremely pleasant and totally accommodating. The room was very comfortable. We took an Uber to the V&A mall, and were able to walk back to the hotel when the weather was good.

The Cleaning Staff didn't clean our room properly. On arrival, no towels, toilet paper, etc. were provided. The Structural design of this Hotel, makes me wonder? Dry wall partitioning between adjacent bedrooms is not desirable for privacy and peace and quiet. If my Neighbour slams his door, it vibrates through the whole bedroom. Aircon's filter was dirty and a lack of fresh air was lacking........ Not even a proper chair to sit on. I don't want to keep lying on my bed most of the time. Overall, I've expected much better of a Hotel with this Star qualification. At least the staff were friendly.

The hotel is ok. It’s an old building restored to an hotel. The columns and the beams are made from wood so it has a unique style. The toilet in each room is new and good, but the amenities are poor. The W/C hasn’t a trash bin (that’s really uncomfortable). The shampoo and conditioner is put to one person only. Also the shampoo tube has a mark like it was already used and just refilled. There is no fridge in the room. If you stay at the fifth floor the windows will be very small or no windows at all.

We loved the members of staff, our bed and the location. The room was exceptionally clean and we couldn’t fault it. We upgraded to a room with a window but in hindsight might have been ok with the cabin room originally booked as we didn’t have a view and kept the blind closed for the majority of time we were there.
We stayed for four nights and could not get complimentary coffee at any time we tried. Breakfast was a little chaotic on two mornings. The coffee machines were very slow and ran out of water or milk often which lead to queues. The staff were very busy and didn’t ask us if we wanted eggs on two days. The quality of breakfast was great and we really enjoyed it.

Short and sweet at Signature

It’s very compact and I forgot we wouldn’t have a window to see outside but staff was truly great and we slept very well. Also helped us when we checked in at 2am and couldn’t get passport scanner to work AND gave us late checkout. Oh, and get the vanilla latte-divine!!!!

Although part of a hotel chain the SignatureLux Waterfront has a boutique feel. Returning following a stay earlier in the year we found the hotel still reasonably priced for a great location a short walk from the V&A Waterfront.

The staff were very helpful as ever with a relaxed atmosphere. You're not rushed, but be prepared for this. For example although breakfast in mainly buffet style if you want eggs they are cooked to order and may take a few minutes.

Definitely no need for us to look elsewhere next time we're in Cape Town.

The hotel is beautiful from outside but inside it’s extremely small, made me feel claustrophobic. Still can’t believe that room was the space of a 3rd of a rooms in other hotels. We could also hear the water works of other rooms. Imagine. And to make it worse they milk for the coffee, was off.

Small room. No wardrobes, no drawers, no chair to sit on.
Large washbasin taking up lots of room especially as it was aActually in the room which was already pushed for space and not in a bathroom.

Giving it such a high rating was nonsense. Food expensive by comparison with nearby hotel which was cheaper and better all round.
