DONT BOOK HERE!!!! WARNING!!! Called Expedia every other day to see if they could help me get out of this property and they weren’t able to help. I flew over 20 hours to go to Thailand and book this hotel based off of the amenities and photos. Pool is dirty and there is not a rooftop bar. They are using old pictures from six years ago and I have told Expedia that but they still have this property on here. Mattress feels like a boxspring, and if you don’t have a room with the balcony, you’re going to feel like you’re in jail I have so much more I have to say, but I’m over it and may have to deal with it legally.

Excellent with a minor problem

I have stayed at Patong Hemingways for many years now, and I have always found everything about this Hotel to be superb. But on this occasion my room was downgraded but without any discount.
Not a huge concern, just a little disappointing, especially when the Hotel was not booked out.
I would not hesitate to stay there again, but would hope for a better outcome on getting what you pay for.

The hotel is ideal for the nightlife which is only two minutes walk and for jungceylon centre only a minute more also the location is very quiet for noise.The staff are great and do the most to make the stay A1. Quality towels and bedding changed every day and for the cost i would highly recommend this hotel....

This is my go to hotel in Patong. It is reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and professional. It is walking distance to the Mall and to Walking Street. The wi fi worked really well. Roof top pool is nice. I highly recommend the hotel though I wouldn’t include the breakfast

A number of things left a lot to be desired. Maintenance poor, 4 issues reported, only two attended too. Had lunch at the pool, food was simply unrecognisable as chicken cashew nuts. The bar at the pool ran out of tequila. The room has cockroaches and the balcony was too small to sit out. Wi-fi worse than poor the only area with reasonable strength was the pool. Room kept dropping out.

Nightmare at the hotel Patong Hemingway's

The stay here was like something out of a horror novel. Vermin and cockroaches everywhere, smell of raw sewerage throughout the room which they try to conceal with car freshener. I wanted to cancel my 9 nights and move hotels but staff just said up to you. No refund. Didn't get any sleep the entire time. Ended up switching mid way through to save some of my holiday. Stayed at a hostel. Was 100x better. Stay away. Like many reviews before, you have been warned. You have not seen a bad hotel until you visit this one. Unbelievable.

The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant served excellent food. This isn't a high end hotel but a very comfortable affordable place to stay. I like the fact I can park my bike and walk to malls, beach, walking street.

Bad- First we were given a room which had 3 noisy air conditioners running outside window. Couldn't sleep first night with this noise. After notifying hotel staff, they managed to transfer us to a different room. Very poor internet access. Found couple of cockroaches in room.
Recommend this hotel due to location.

Happiness at Hemingways. The perfect location

Expedia advertised it as a Suite, but this was not True. So be careful, some of Ecpedia's information is either incorrect, misleading or hidden
But for Patong Hemingways. It's Fantsstic.
I have stayed at this Hotel on a few occasions now, and it has always lived up to my expectations.

Nice little place located right in the heart of Patong Beach nightlife but not on the main street so no noise issues. Two negatives were the lack of a blow dryer which I didn't pack because the hotel is listed as having one. Also due to health issues, I booked this hotel because of the picture of the hot tub. The hot tub did not work so this was very disappointing! We had just been to a restaurant that had an amazing breakfast so this breakfast was very basic.

Good location to lively street but very quiet

Stayed in Patong far longer that I really wanted to due to a brilliant wedding on the Island. Hemmingways was a great place to stay though for those 6 nights as a solo traveller. Close to the lively night-life but very quiet at night and also by day at the pool. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned very well daily. I did see a couple of tiny little cockroaches but no big deal for the value of the hotel and the overall cleanliness. I just think it is one of those things. Would stay again but i doubt i will ever go back to Patong.

I was visiting a friend who is currently working in Phuket and stayed at the hotel for 4 days. The hotel is in an excellent location; a short walk from the beach and near to all nightlife, restaurants, shopping etc.The rooms are small but very clean and modern with tea / coffee facilities and free bottled water daily. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, however there is a balcony with no room to sit and no chair to sit on anyway! Some rooms have the same style of balcony but with the hotel adjacent being about 2 meters away, so your view is basically of a brick wall. It isn't so bad if, like me, you only used the room for sleeping in. On my last full day I came back to my room after a day at the beach to find the floor of my room completely wrecked! I was told there was some problem due to \"pressure\" and I'd have to move rooms. I did move rooms, an inconvenience as it was my last full day, and found the safe in my new room had to be reset and then the door to the room would not lock. This meant that, for part of my last evening I had to remain in my room until these issues were sorted out. The staff were exceptional; friendly, helpful and sorted out any issues as quickly as they could. There are obvious issues with the quality of the hotel itself and due to this I probably wouldn't stay there again. This is a great shame as it is a decent hotel with excellent staff and a rooftop pool which gets the sun all day. Oh, and the food served is also good!

Overall good value hotel for a budget price, definitely get your moneys worth; the onsite restaurant is good at least for Thai food (that's all I tried there) There is construction going on across the street so if your a very light sleeper this may not be the place for you, it didn't bother me during my 5 days there.

A number of problems

Central location and nice rooftop pool. Hotel condition and service generally ok as you'd expect in Patong, but with a range of problems.
No view but you wouldn't expect it in that location. However you can see and hear the major construction site directly opposite (a large hotel in its early stages). Rooms on the side get no sunlight.
Killed over 10 mosquitoes in the room on the first night, though there were less on following nights. Large bed is two single beds joined together but the way it's done is not too bad. The wet floor bathroom is a problem - shower water didn't drain quickly enough and would cover up to half of the bathroom.
The hotel requires 1000 baht deposit at check-in but wouldn't take a credit card authorisation like a normal hotel - cash only, which was annoying. One night the reception desk was unattended for over 20 minutes, which meant room keys, guest information and cash were potentially not secure.
I probably wouldn't go back to this hotel due to these problems.

Mattress is horrible like a rock and I am suffering from my back till now.

Great hotel,great staff - avoid hotel restaurant.

Superb staff throughout the hotel. Friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Smooth check in check out service. Special mention for roof pool staff especially Joanne.
On the negative side, the hotel restaurant is not an experience you want to try, placed on order only to be told 20 minutes later they didn't have the food. Starters took 45 minutes and were wrong. Main course eventually arrived the order was also wrong and food was cold. The hotel manager did apologise the next day and gave complimentary drinks, however the restaurant experience was the worst i have ever experienced in all my years travelling. One other note, it should have been mentioned at time of booking that there was a construction site literally 20 yards from hotel so we were awoken most mornings.I would not let this stop anyone staying here as it is a superb hotel for a reasonable price.

The hotel is somewhat hidden but is well located in the centre of Patong, close to shopping, many restaurants and Bangla Road. The staff is friendly and tries to make your stay a good one. Its a small hotel, but its still has a outside pool (rooftop). The only real current issue would be that the hotel is facing a construction site so the noise can be bothersome.

Good enough for a budget stay..Hotel is located within 8 minutes walk to Bangla Walking Street and 10 minutes walk to Patong Beach. it is also close to shopping mall. Easy access to shopping, massage, pubs and restaurants without hearing the night life noise! Location Location

This small boutique hotel is ideally located in the street name of Soi Sansabai. Just tucked away of the main street, but if you want to be close to Bangla Road, Jungceylon Shopping Centre, then this hotel is a must. Staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean and has a nice pool roof top pool.
The only 2 negatives is that there was construction going on in the hotel around 9am. Bathroom renovations, jack hammer going full steam ahead and the next 2 days of chisel work. It would have been better if this work would have been started at 12pm as a lot of guests would have been sleeping, including me!
The other is that there looks like there will be a new hotel being built opposite, so there will be another lot of noise and construction going on in the future.

Stayed 1st wk of Sept. Great hotel. 1-2 min walk from bangla street, yet vry quite n calm in the resort.
Wud like to specially thank Ms. Game @ reception and Ms. Toey @ restaurant. Both were always vry polite and best at their service. Having ppl like them is a great asset for the hotel industry.
Great food, rooms are spacious n clean. Lot of travel agents around. ( book with Patong Tiger Tour, most cheapest)
Overall vry gud property. Will definitely recommend

Asked for a topper for the bed as Thai beds can be quite hard. - this was made available immediately. Breakfast was good - enough hot variety for us. Would recommend this hotel to couples and singles. Definitely will return

Positives - helpful friendly staff. Good restaraunt, 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants, street vendors, shopping and bangla road. Even though it's so close to everything it's still quiet. They provide beach towels to take with you for the day. 7-11 and bank right around the corner.

Negatives - bed was extremely hard. No barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom floor. Small patio.

All in all it was a good stay, would stay again.

Great Hotel, Great Location & Great Staff

We stayed here at the beginning of February, absolute lovely hotel, a real gem away from the maddening crowd of Bangla Road, but less than a five minute walk. Staff are excellent, room was very nice, just what we needed. They even have a rooftop pool which was fabulous to sunbathe and chill with beers from the pool bar. Would definitely recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

this is my second time staying in this hotel and I love it, great location, small hotel, has everything you need, restaurant, bar, pool, pool bar, located in the middle of all the action and in the quiet corner, so you get to be in the middle of all the action and quiet at the same time, also guest friendly, which means they do not charge when you bring someone over for the evening or whenever.

Arrived with friends to start our 2 week asia adventure. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.rooms were of good quality and very clean. The hotel roof top pool was great in the mornings to relax and meet others staying in the hotel this was also equipt with friendly pool bar assistant, the restuarant was fairly priced with the food having a great taste and good quantity,making for an over all fantastic stay to start our holiday...thank you..

Good choice for quieter Patong hotel...

Overall, we enjoyed this hotel amped would recommend it. It's a newer facility, so it is quite clean and modern. The rooftop pool and bar is Wally nice although it doesn't seem to get much use. Brown, the bartender up there is a nice, friendly guy as is the staff in general. Our only complaint is that there seems to be a pervasive odor about the hotel and was particularly noticeable in our room in the evening. I think they are aware of this overall problem but haven't found a solution yet apparently. I'm not sure it's all the rooms, but it was quite evident on the 6th floor. If they solve this, then I would give them higher ratings for sure. The breakfast was decent, but not overly inspiring and was repeated identically each day. The location is ideal if you want to be a bit away from the craziness if Bangla Rd. and yet still a short walk away.

Bad Sewer Smell In Room Made Me Sick

Nice new place, but air intake must be near an open sewer. When complaining about in room sewer smell was moved to another room, but with AC on the smell came back. Sewer smell was also in hallways, it was enough to make you throw up. The owner of the hotel appeared to speak english, and not being local must be aware of the severe sewer smell problem in his establishment.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich ca 400 Meter von der Bangla Road und 1000 Meter vom Strand entfernt.
Der Pool ist sauber mit super Liegen.
Leider hatte die Bar am Pool nicht offen.
Das Zimmer ist für die Patong Umgebung gut.
Leider war der Hotelsafe nicht nutzbar - ein zweiter Hotelsafe wurde eingebaut - man hätte diesen jedoch ohne viel Kraftaufwand aus dem Schrank reißen und mitnehmen können.
Die Betten sind extrem hart - für mich aber ok gewesen. Im Badezimmer gab es den ein oder anderen Defekt - welcher jedoch zeitnah behoben wurde.
Alles in allem empfehlenswert wenn man nicht auf Luxus steht.
Umgebung ist extrem belebt, jedoch ist das Zimmer in eine ruhige Sackgasse gemündet.
