I wish I would’ve saw the reviews a lot sooner. The staff was amazing and I am in no way blaming them for the mess they are in. It is clear that Marriott doesn’t take care of this location.

When we first got there one of the first red flags was that the automatic door was broken, not too big of a problem, just pointing out the signs. The next one was the pool and spa being broken. That is one of the main reason why I booked this hotel in this area. This was one of the only places I saw a spa and pool at that was a reasonable price.

The next issue was in the room. There were lights not working and nor were the TVs. Luckily, we were able to get the remote to change channels but we weren’t able to connect to any sort of streaming services, or switch over the HDMI for different devices.

After reading the other reviews I realized this isn’t a first time issue for past guests and these issues don’t seem to be resolving. This place definitely needs a remodel and I hope it gets it sooner rather than later. I would hate for another person to have to deal with what my partner and I did.

The hotel had no heat. The pipes burst and the hotel was freezing our entire stay. My daughter wanted to go swimming the pool area was below freezing. The hot tub was not hot it was barely warm and was broken. The condensation from the pool area being so cool and the building being cold made the walls and ceiling sweat so sitting in the pool area was gross only God now’s what was dripping down on me the whole time. The manager was very nice about the situation but no discounts were offered or no money back nor apologies given. It was a waste of money. Motel 6 was better than this! Breakfast was cold just like the entire stay I will NEVER ! Be back

At first we loved the hotel… but upon checking in we were told that the room deposit was $150 not the $100 listed in the hotel.com ad, and the check in email sent after booking ( both stated $100 deposit) when I said something because it was not presented that way before check in ( and also I’ve never heard of a deposit worth more that the nightly rate) I was told Marriott changed it and to hurry up cuz their were other guests waiting. Upon entering our room it seemed fine but the shower was not clean, there was only 2 towels ( went to front desk to ask for more and couldn’t find anyone) we grabbed a cpl from the pool area, the TV in the bedroom didn’t work ( didn’t know until 11pm) called the front desk and was told they’d reach out to maintenance, they called back 10 min later said there was no maintenance available and we could change rooms ( not at 11pm) or they could issue a $20 refund but in order to get that I’d have to contact hotels.com ( which I did and when they tried to reach the hotel they couldn’t get a response ( I did get the $20 in credit to use on hotels.com but it took me 2 phone calls to them and 3 days to sort that out! Also the hot tub doesn’t work, there’s way too many chemicals being used and definitely not enough ventilation ( the hot tub was the main reason we picked this hotel so that was very disappointing) and lastly the breakfast was advertised as a buffet with many options and it was no different than the continental breakfast at holiday inn!

The fromt desk staff was very nice. The main lovby area was well maintained and looked clean. However, the rooms are pretty bad. We had to switch rooms at first because our tvs did not work. After going to the new room, we realized just how gross all of the rooms must be. Stains on the carpets, signs of leaks in ceilings, toilets, walls etc., and the couches were so stained up. Not a great place. It needs some serious help.

Stayed for 30 minutes, the first room had no heat and a had a broken pull out. Staff said we can’t stay in this room. Waited to get into a new room. Staff had to check rooms to see which one was better. We dropped off our bags and came back and this new room was still cold, broken pull out and filthy. Checked out and are waiting for a refund. Do not stay at this hotel.

It was probably a really nice hotel at one time but that was 25 years ago. The furniture in our room was so worn out you couldn’t even sit on the couch. The window wouldn’t close so we requested another room and the furniture was worse. It just felt gross and old. We ended up walking out and booking another hotel, I was trying to save a few bucks by staying here but it cost me quite a bit extra in the long run. Do yourself a favor and don’t be cheap like me 😂

I had high hopes for this stay , check in was good they let us check in an hour prior to check in. But the room was rundown , we had no toilet paper! We called front desk and they said they ran out and we could come get one of theirs in office- half of a roll. They never brought us anymore TP we had to ask a friend to bring extra from home. Pool area was small and it was chlorinated environment fogged up windows and broken doors. Overall place needs updates really bad- just rundown vicinity. Breakfast was okay.

Overall the stay was good. Staff were very nice. Hotel lounge and bar area was nice. Rooms could use some help. There was a large stain in the middle of the carpet and one of the window curtains had a large tear and one of the lamps didn’t work. Bathrooms were nice and spacious. The super bonus was the continental breakfast. That may have been the best included hotel breakfast ever had. Many options, and everything was hot and delicious. Would easily stay again for the breakfast alone.

The good: quiet room, clean and a good variety of choices for breakfast. Noone at the front desk for check-in and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive. This is 5 PM which would be a busy check-in time. Bar had noone sitting at ut, I was the only customer. The hot tub was a reason we chose to go there. It was barely warm and the button for the jets was broken. We had to call the front desk 3 times to ask for towels bc there werent any. They kept saying theyd bring them and they didnt.
I booked the room that said \"sleeps 3\" with a king bed and a pull out sofa bed. The sofa bed had been closed with dirty sheets on them and was stuck. We tried, staff tried, the security guy tried. It wouldnt come out. They kept telling me that the couch beds are not guaranteed, most rooms dont have them, but they clearly advertised for them.
When we got there we could see a small patch on the ceiling above the toilet that looked recently wet. Saturday after arriving back, there was plaster all over from where it had fallen. Staff were not helpful at all.

Such a great hotel to stay in, Understanding there is a merger going on currently for this property I can understand with maybe not investing in some items but I would suggest just ensuring items such as the room phones and safe are fully functioning for safety and security. Room 250 did not have either phones or Safe operational. The front staff was informed, SUPER FRIENDLY about it but I would say those would be my only two call outs. Otherwise I will be looking to stay in this hotel each time I come and I will be suggesting that to all my co workers as we come up for Stellantis a lot.

Oh nice hotel, located in a very safe area with an amazing free breakfast. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite that was very spacious and perfect for two friends. The only downside was that the room itself felt a bit dirty—not in a gross way, more like it hadn’t been used in a while. It was dusty, almost like it was holding onto dirt from the 90s, lol.

That said, I’d probably stay here again. The area felt extremely safe, I didn’t see any bugs, and the staff was very friendly. My biggest complaint was that the bathroom could’ve been cleaned better.

Previously stayed here when it was owned by Hilton. This is not! No sign to distinguish property. First room was disgusting, food under sofa cushions, sticky carpet, spill in the fridge and chirping smoke detector. Switched rooms to slightly cleaner, but thermostat was hanging off the wall with wires exposed, spider webs in bathroom corner, rooms were outdated and smelled like cigarette smoke and just unpleasant. There's a log for room moves - seems like a common issue. General areas felt deserted. Business center wasn't functioning. Staff was pleasant and tried to be helpful considering the property limitations.

My room was luxurious with a deluxe living room and a comfortable bed and the room was AC cooled the room quickly. The bathroom and shower were very clean with hot water. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. The atrium showed a beautiful dinning area and restaurant/bar. Pool and hot tub were clean and nice. The Hotel Auburn Hills was a great surprise I found on Expedia.com. We plan to stay here again.

The room was a 2 bedroom suite. The balcony door was broken, making it unsafe. The door between the two adjoining rooms was broken, and wouldn’t shut. The bathroom mirror was ripped off, and the shower was completely cold. I even called down, and she said it takes up to 30 MINUTES for it to get warm. There was one towel in a 2 bedroom SUITE. The floor was dirty, and the shower was not clean. Not worth the price, would not go back.

Great check in with Vickie. She gave me all the information on the amenities and gave me a room closest to the exit to accommodate my dog. Our room was nice and spacious, clean with a super comfortable bed. The only reason I rated good not excellent was that the room could use some updating.
