We only had a muffin, coffee, and juice. It was pretty standard. The comforter on the bed had seen better days and it was lumpy where the filling had shifted and lumped together. There were two big piles of dirty sheets and towels on the floor in the hallway when we got there in the late afternoon and they were still there the next morning. The refrigerator dint work. Staff was very friendly.

The breakfast menu was average at best. I was disappointed with the pool, which was closed in the middle of a Saturday for \"chemicals.\" The pool was also not heated, though it claimed to be. I asked for extra towels and never received them. I would say none of that is surprising, though, for a mid-range hotel. The linens were clean and the bed comfortable. A rack to put my suitcase on would have been helpful.

They stay was wonderful. But upon check-in, we had a $100 charge sprung upon is that was not mentioned when we booked online. Very inconvenient. We almost werent able to afford to stay because of this. If there had been notice of a charge, we would have planned accordingly and there would have been no issue. Over-all the stay was good. Clean pool and room. Kind staff. Was just annoyed by the surprise charge

Refused a room. Harrassed by front desk and manager even after showing them proof of room purchase with receipt. Did not feel comfortable sleeping at this hotel so we did not check in to the room we payed for. We went to the crown plaza hotel down the road. Much better service. The manager also lied and said he refunded our room. We never got a refund

Went to check in the staff was very nonchalant about not having the two suite i booked almost two weeks ahead of time. Mind you no email to update us that they were overbooked just got to the property to check in coming from out of town to find out that there where no rooms and the staff just brushed us off like oh well. would recommend.

When we were unloading our vehicle my daughter stepped on an inground utility box and the cover gave way and she fell in getting soaked and twisting her knee. The staff did nothing but say they would get maintenance on it. Hours later I went back outside and it was still an open hole right next to parking spaces. This was dangerous and very unprofessional.

Overall for the price, definitely worth it and I'd stay again. But we did have a few small issues. We stayed 2 nights and night one, we noticed the TV connection was terrible. We called the front desk and the Manager said it started that 2 days prior and he'd try resetting the Direct TV receiver. This didn't fix it but we were exhausted and just went to bed. Over the course of the stay, the connection never changed.
When I booked the room, I specifically booked a room with 2 queen beds, a sleeper couch and a roll away bed. Our room only has 2 queen beds.
Again, fairly minor and overall I was pleased.

Our stay was less than mediocre. First they lost my reservation, I was told prior to arrival that I could pay the deposit in cash and then at check in was told I had to pay the deposit with a card. I paid for my stay in full at check in and they continuously tried to charge my card for the entire stay amount every single night we were there. Our room was okay, we liked the layout but the sofa bed had no sheets on it and had food folded up into it. We had to go to the check in desk everyday to reactivate our key cards because they never worked. The pool was dirty and the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Overall, I was not impressed. We travel to the Detroit are often and definitely will not be staying here again.

First time staying here or at any sonesta select Hotel. Very clean and safe ample parking staff very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean fast my black light test both bedroom and bathroom, I stayed 5 days and had no problems whatsoever. The amenities are nice in terms of half size Olympic pool indoor heated as well as a workout facility on site as well as laundry and a small marketplace that you can access 24/7 for snacks and beverages. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the price it's quality and a real value.

The room was not the cleanest. The sheets were both dirty and stained, the corner of one of the mattress had blood stains on it, the nightstand had hard glue or something on it, the vent in the bathroom was covered in dust, the fabric chair had stains all over it and the floors throughout were not clean.

Room was wore out not very clean way to much noise late night disrespectful guests. Tv didn't work all the time i needed it. Keys reprogrammed had to walk all the way to front desk to get in. Only got 3 hours of sleep 1st night with arguments and loud music outside my window. Cold coffee and no cream 2nd day, workers didn't show up. Would like refund!

Complete failure by the front desk staff. Booked a room at 9:00 pm for late arrival. Arrived at the hotel and they were overbooked and there was no room available after I paid (non-refundable) through Expedia. Staff said there was nothing she could do. Absolutely refused to do anything for us. I called Expedia, who needed to confirm with the hotel before trying to cancel and book another room - front desk refused to answer the phone to speak with them for over an hour. At the same time, police were in and out arresting 2 people due to guns being displayed in their room. It was a crazy awful experience.

I’m not one to complain but this time service was terrible I hate to say it but the worst hotel I had stayed at. Checking in I was giving a room, took my family to the room walked in to a bed no made trash in the sinks. The toilet with bowel in it. I went back to the front desk to ask for a different room the gentleman did not bother to apologize for the inconvenience. I had let my stuff in that room to go complain I asked if she could please open the door to that room so I could grab my belongings and he walked down the hall gave me the key walked away. Not a very clean hotel.

The man who checked me in was horrible at his job, took him 20 minutes to get me checked in then I went to my room 329 and the door was so damaged u could stick something in and pop the lock, I called him and explained to him I didn’t feel safe. The first response I received was there were no other rooms available, but I knew that wasn’t true because I just booked and they had multiple rooms available. After telling him a second time that I didn’t feel safe he told me to come down and he would give me another room. I walked down to the lobby and he was on the phone cursing at someone right in the lobby. So he continued his call and helped me at the same time. Whoever was on the phone was another worker trying to help him help me and he said I got this and hung up in their face. He did explain to me that he is a manager, that’s bad for business, not professional at all. I’ve never had any issues at this location before and I stay for work at least once a month. Unfortunately this was the last time.

Will return if in the area again. This was one of the better experiences Ive had staying in hotels lately. Comfortable, clean room, hallways and common areas. Despite being near the highway, the room was quiet. Parking was close. I didnt use the amenities while I was there but the fitness room was appealing. I typically inspect the rooms before I get comfortable and the only thing that I could possibly complain about was a little mildew on the bathroom ceiling and a small amount on the tub grout. I assume the bathroom ceiling is not a typical area for housekeeping to pay attention to and can be easily overlooked. Breakfast was good, staff were pleasant, overall good experience in an unfamiliar area.

Stayed there three nights, did not have our room serviced one time. Swimming pool was closed, no indication given when we were booking our stay.
We stayed New Year's Eve night and we kept awake until 2:30 in the morning with a group of eight or 10 teenagers running through the hallways and hotel staff did nothing to stop them
When we tried to check out all of the computers that were there to print out boarding passes, and other paperwork were not working. We've been better off, sleeping in our car for three days.

This was a very modern hotel. The kids liked the fact the pool was open until 11 PM so even if we were out all day, they still had a chance to swim as far as amenities go. The breakfast is very minimal. The first morning was just some cereal and bagels and muffins the next morning there was eggs and bacon, but that was about it.
The rooms are very nice, but I think they’re understaffed on the housekeeping as there were messes in the hallway that weren’t being picked up on the daily

my first night my toilet was backup up and when i went to the front desk he just handed me a plunger. than when i told him that the refrigerator wasn't working he said to just look for a button (which didn't exist). the next day i complained to the front desk and they gave me a new room. why this didn't happen that night when i was tired from travel i do not know.

Staff was kinda rude at check in. Our room wasn't quite ready which was fine we were willing to wait but the desk clerk kept trying to push a double queen room when we wanted a king which is what we reserved. Manager them confirmed a king room was available so we went to out room. Disappointed they're was no fridge or microwave. Halls had trash in them. Elevator only available on one side of building so if your room isn't close there is a lot of walking or you have to take the stairs.
