You get what you pay for. In an area of expensive hotel rooms, this was a good value option. The rooms were older and could use an upgrade. The chairs need to be re upholstered, etc. There was ample parking and the area felt safe for a male. It was a good basic option.

The room was basic which was expected. But as soon as I went into the bathroom, the mirror was full of toothpaste splatter. The counters were dirty as well as the floor. However, the bed was clean and comfortable for a basic bed. The tub was not too bad either.
We were on the first floor on the end which was very nice. Check-in was easy and quick, the staff was very nice. If the room was clean, it would have been a much better stay.

Huge cobweb in corner over bed.
Bed was unsteady (reminiscent of rollaway spring beds).
Blinds allowed night parking lot lights to shine through all night.
Breakfast did not include juice. There was no fresh fruit (ie an apple or banana). No yogurt, either. Just Nutrigrain bar and packaged muffin. That's it.
The room floor was not carpetted so that was a positive.
The hallway outside room had dirty carpet.

Staff was welcoming. The people staying there would idly chat with me as I would go between my room and outside. Many cute pets around and I was very satisfied with the clenliness of everything.
The elevator was a little slow with the door, but reallt shot you to your floor quickly. There were some spots in my room I can tell were patched/painted over after being damaged, as well as some cosmetic damages. Nothing at all that impeeded on my stay.
I saw some reviews of the smells in the halls, it just smelt like food. There are people staying here that are cooking, so I really didn't find it that weird. I also noticed that there are those automatic air fresher dispensers in the hallways looking to midigate any of that potential discomfort.
The breakfast is minimal but for free and the cost for staying here I really didn't mind. I was just happy that there was oatmeal for being gluten free. They also had coffee, different convenience bars, and pre packaged muffins.
It was really convenient to just take a quick 2 minute drive up the road to a few different food options, and being right in between within walking distance of meijer and walmart you are pretty set if you forgot anything.

The place was filthy and they couldn’t even make us a card for our room eventually after the sixth time of trying a card and walking back-and-forth from the hotel front desk to the room, they just walked us to our room with a master key and let us in after that I called and said this is unacceptable and it is a safety issue and how can I come and go easily Without a Key for my room. The lady simply stated sorry the machine is broken

The lobby, hallways and elevator smelled like smoke. The room also smelled strange - bad, but not smoke. We had to run the fan just to keep the smell tolerable. We thought we would avoid the elevator by taking the stairs, but the stairwells smelled like crap (literally). The WiFi worked one night, but not the next, with repeated attempts to log in only to see 'Form error' show up on the screen.

I ended up not staying the night because it was so filthy. Crumbs and stains on the kitchenette area, clogged bathroom sink drain, fecal matter in the toilet upon arrival, stains on the bathroom floor. It was if the cleaning staff made the bed with new sheets and forgot about the rest of the room. I will never stay there again, and would highly advise against it for anyone else.

This property is for people that are staying long term and not meant for short stays. Every time we walked through the property we found vomit. Twice in the elevator, and once in the hallway. We stayed less then 12 hours in total.

I am very disappointed in my stay at WoodSpring Suites. While I knew the hotel was pet-friendly, the smell throughout the hotel, the stairs, and halls was overwhelming and unpleasant. When we got to our room, there was stuff on the shower floor (Took photos), there was a hole in the bathroom door, and the fridge had a broken bottom that caused it to tilt, and the inside smelled and was also broken and ruined the leftovers we had in there. The cleanliness rating was higher than past hotels I have stayed at yet much dirtier. The side doors to get outside were also broke so anyone could walk in and there was a lot of activity happening outside of the building. The gym facility was also broken.

Most extended stays provide some utensils this one did not wish i would have known in the beginning. As I travel for work all over the state, this by far was the worst experience. The room were horrible. Mattresses on webbing. NO amenities. Room had no supplies for kitchen. No hand towels. No Kleenex. No bible. No ice machine available. No coffe pot. No luggage cart. No hair dryer. Rooms were dirty and dusty. Hallways and elevator dirty. The housekeeping lady was the only bright spot. She was pleasant.

Where is the desk clerk?

There was no one at the desk when we checked in. There was a number to call for assistance but no one answered. Two other staff members happen to come by. They attempted to contact the person that was supposed to be at the desk. They could not reach that person either. The other staff members ended up checking us in.
we appreciated those two for helping out.
There was another lady that was waiting when we arrived. She got mad, before the two other staff members showed up that helped us, and left the building.
In the morning there was no one at the desk again. We left at at little before 8:00.
Very disappointing stay. I will never book there again.

We got Our first room on the 1st floor because the elevator was broken and had luggage to carry. That room, although it had just been cleaned, smelled so bad of cat urine that we couldn’t stay in it. Our next room was in the 3rd floor. It was clean and smelled fine. The baseboards were all pulled off due to a flood ?? On the third floor? And the mattress was so horrible! It was lumpy and felt very worn out. We were supposed to come back a few days later but canceled those reservations.

First and foremost upon arrival there was no employees on the premises to help me with check in. I Arrived at the hotel at 10pm. I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to arrive to check me in. There was no type of security. The doors entering the building were not secure. Anyone could walk into the building and go all the way into the housing areas. I have stayed at the Woodsprings at another location and this one was very disappointing compared to the other.

Hard to get I touch with staff after hours. Checking in took 40 minutes, TV didn’t work just because the battery was dead had to wait till the next day after 10 am. My key didn’t work and wanted 25 minutes to get a new key. The after hours schedule needs to improve. I was alone and the is not ok.

This is the worst place we have ever stayed. We were on the 4th floor and there were people yelling and screaiming all night. Kids banging on doors and making noise until well past 1am. I would not recommend this loation to my worst enemy!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I asked to be close to the main entrance and she put me at the end of the hallway as far from the entrance as possible. Hallways dirty. Police had to come for some one shouting. The place was nice and staff was very friendly and willing to help. I liked even the location of the hotel. There was a Walmart and Meijer very close, so you could buy stuff any time. I really like the fact that there was a kitchen so I could cook my own food.
But I didn't like the fact that you couldn't connect more than two devices per room, and if that was not enough, the internet connection was horrible and we lost connection several times during the day. For a student who has to work and study online that was a big deal.
Another thing I didn't like was that the housekeeping was once in two weeks. I wish it was more often.
So, if you don't have to work or study online, or you don't need to use internet much, I would recommend the place.

The worst. I tried to change my room but the gave me room 317. Pulled back the thin covers and the bed had been remade with the same linen from previous people. Disgusting so i went back to mine. You can hear every sound from the room next door. They were loud all night. Kids played and cried the whole damn time which is why i tried to move. I booked it until the 20th but arrived to hotel Thursday night and the had locked me out of my room. Manager had me pay 60.00 to get back into my room . Very rude and i will tell every one i know never to go to this hotel in any city.

I am a repeat long term visitor to this extended stay hotel. Very accessible shopping and groceries to either side of hotel (Walmart-left side, Meijer-right side), walking distance to multiple dining (Panera, Five Guys, etc) and easy access to freeway. A relatively new, clean and well maintained property. My mainstay hotel, whenever I am visiting Beautiful Pure Michigan.

There was no one there to check us in. Several customers waited nearly 45 minutes before someone arrived at the front desk. When she finally arrived, she never apologized for the wait, and didn’t even greet any of the guests.
Once we finally made in through the check in process, we made it to the room and there was no hand soap, shampoo, conditioner- nothing at all to wash with.

The room was covered in dog hair including the bed sheets. When we asked to get a different room the only thing they could offer was to bring us new sheets, which was fine. When the front desk arrived with the sheets he just left them, so we also had to change the bed ourselves. Changing the sheets didn’t help all that much as the floor was covered in dog hair so despite our best efforts it still got in the bed. You could also see all the dog hair on the floor and on the side of the shower. It just appeared that nothing was cleaned between the people who stayed there last and us- which is very disgusting
