The absolute perfect option if you’re looking for an agriturismo but aren’t going to have access to a car. We had a large family group of six that took up two rooms and one of the apartments. The train station is about a ten to fifteen minute walk, with a bit of an incline, but it’s manageable with luggage. There is a Coop at the bottom of the hill about a four minute walk. We went grocery shopping multiple times and cooked most of our meals in the apartment kitchen. Siena city center is about a 40 minute walk, but the 24-hour set of escalators at the mall across the street from the station make it very simple. Despite being so close to everything, the property is set back enough that the noise doesn’t really make its way up. The pool and the apartment terraces boast wonderful views of Siena’s walls and major buildings. I made a mistake booking, and the staff were incredibly helpful in fixing my mistake and keeping the trip together. Cannot recommend this place enough, it’s an absolute hidden gem.

We didn't have breakfast included with our \"apartment\" but it looked great. Major grocery store just a couple minutes drive away.

Really neat place off the beaten track. Great if you have a car or bike. Shopping extremely convenient. Apartment came with a real kitchen setup, so I could cook for myself. It’s not near the town center but easy to drive to the lower cut and park and walk up if you want. Great home base for cyclists.

The hotel is in a rural setting just beyond a supermarket. Parking is plentiful. Checking in and out was friendly. Apartment was lovely with lounge/kitchenette area and separate bedroom. Lovely and quiet.
We walked into the town using the walking paths over a busy main road. Quite a long walk, but doable, and easier walking back as downhill! Would recommend hotel and would stay again.

The staff was so friendly and helpful at the hotel. By far the best service we've had in terms of front desk assistance and support. The hotel is a bit older and doesn't come with the frills of a newer hotel. For example, the fold-out couch in the living room looks like it's been around for a while, however, for the price, it's to be expected. Things to know if you are booking here to save money - you will need to have a car to get to Siena w/ kids. It's about a 20 minute steep walk uphill and on some busy roads just to get to the outside walls of Siena's center. If you are driving, then be prepared to drive about 15 minutes and some of that time will be spent driving down some really narrow, pedestrian filled streets to get to a parking lot. Most of the parking lots you have to pay for b/c the one free parking lot books up quickly.

HUGE perk was this hotel has a really beautiful pool w/ an amazing view of the city and a laundry facility which was key for us w/ younger kids. We went in August when it was really hot so being able to wash those close and take a dip in the pool was really nice.

I cannot praise the Borgo Grondaie enough. The staff were excellent, couldn't be more personable and helpful. The place was quiet and restful. The pool was excellent. This is just the place to stay for a restful stay in Siena. Siena centre is a short walk away using the escalators nearby. The gardens are beautiful and well kept.

This is a beautiful hotel right out of Sienna. 5 minutes by car.
The hotels room and bathroom are spacious and pretty. Nice dining area inside and outside on the court. Great breakfast included. Very friendly and nice staff too. The gardens outside are beautiful and make you feel in Tuscany. I definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Sienna. The place is beautiful and very well located.

My only suggestion for people looking to book would be that you might want to rent a car. It is technically walking distance to centre of town in Siena but it’s a bit of an awkward walk uphill.

Beautiful hotel and awesome location. Hotel is located at the edge of Siena central city. An easy walk to the city with the added benefit of being in a quiet location. We loved Siena! The grounds were beautiful as was the hotel and room. The room was a spacious apartment with a large bedroom full of windows overlooking the beautiful grounds. Also,a comfortable king bed with an attached living room and kitchen. We cooked in our room one night with the supplies from the large grocery store a short walk from the hotel. Dishes, utensils and cooking pans supplied in the room. The train and bus terminal were a short walk from the hotel for easy connections to other areas. We loved this hotel so much we extended our stay an extra day.

This hotel is on a slop behind central bus and railway station and close to shopping. It could be a bit tricky to get into the city center, but once it is figured out, it is pretty easy. It combines both the benefits of convenience and quietness for me. It may be a bit issue for people who have a lot of luggages or elderly travelers as it requires a bit uphill walking. The hotel service is excellent, the staff was really friendly and professional. They also provided helpful information of cooking classes I was looking for; the breakfast was freshly prepared, cappuccino was so yummy! The bed and sheets are high quality and clean! Overall, the service and ambience is super, I am beyond satisfied.

With a lovely view of the northern side of Siena, Borgo Grondaie is convenient, yet hidden away at the same time. A series of small Tuscan buildings around a central patio
makes the property very convenient to its amenities. The outdoor terrace for breakfast is there as is the reception and the main bar. The saltwater pool is a few steps away and nicely maintained. There's a laundry for guests as well. My room was a good size and in immaculate condition. First class. The staff were lovely and I'll return next time I am in Siena.

We were looking for a quiet place to sleep within reasonable walking distance of Siena where we could prepare our own meals for a few days in between other adventures. The apartment was perfect, the staff were helpful and we were an easy stroll to a Coop where we could get our own food. The walk to town is about 15 minutes but pleasant and easy when you use the escalator from the train station. I wish we had been there in warmer weather when we might have used the pool as it looks lovely. If we are ever back in the area we would certainly stay here again.

The good things are: the staff is extremely nice and helpful, the breakfast is great.
The main turn off is the location- you don’t see it in the pictures but this place is behind central train station and full with traffic and noise. It’s not in a walkable distance from the city and you probably have to use your car. Therefore it’s better to have a place in the city or far away and quiet. The room wasn’t clean and from some risen this place not have its own wi fi, they use the municipality of sienna wi fi which can’t be used properly.
The price of this place is not like places in farms or hotels around the area, which will be much better and much chipset.

The level of service was exemplary. Everyone on the staff was extraordinarily kind, patient and efficient. I cannot thank them enough.
They were both personable and professional, not to mention hard-working. This includes the entire staff: the manager, the reception staff, the wait staff and the housekeepers. Borgo Grondaie was clean and conveniently located to Siena as well as to other Tuscan hill towns. The premises and salt water pool were well-maintained and a delight. The food was fresh and tasty. I would return in an instant!

We stayed in a hotel room in Borgo Grondaie and found it very pleasant, the room had all the usual amenities and was of a fair size for two people with a large very comfortable bed, being typically British we only drink tea and often find hotel cups to be on the small size, but that’s a very personal thing, our only criticism would be we found the bathroom layout could have been better, had everything you needed, sink, toilet, bidet and shower, just felt a little cramped.

The reception area / bar was excellent and we enjoyed an exceptionally brilliant breakfast every day, staff were all friendly and very accommodating to guests needs, outside facilities were all good and pool was great.

Only downside is it’s location, due to Siena’s mountain top town centre, the walk into the main Piazza took a bit longer than expected at nearly 40 minutes, thankfully there is brilliant escalator system to help scale the hillside.

Overall, very happy with our stay and would highly recommend and stay again. (If only for the breakfast !)

Beautiful place with a lot of little extras you don’t often see in European hotels in that price range. We walked the scenic walk into town and back although you can get a taxi if you’re not up for a hilly 30 minute walk in Tuscany.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in Tuscany. A quick taxi ride to Siena gets you to any of the many things to do within the town walls. the onsite parking lot, just steps away from reception is great. The staff is amazing - reception, Jessica and team, always so helpful and answered any questions we had. We sat before the fire a couple of evenings after a long day and got a glass of wine from the little bar. We loved our room, super clean, beds comfortable, fresh and cozy. Best Stay!!

This place is absolutely lovely. First off, check-in was seemless & the hotel mgr was very warm, kind, & inviting. She even went to lengths to provide info & directions for the special Il Palio event & allowed me to borrow her wine cork screw! My wife & I have stayed at numerous bed & breakfast establishments & this location did not disappoint. We received an upgrade to a room with a balcony & comfortable lounge chairs. This comp breakfast spread was the very best I have ever seen! Honestly. Eggs, sausage, ham, prosciutto, limitless bread, pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, jams, teas, & coffee fresh to order. The barista was friendly & made a great cappuccino. The rooms are spacious & comfortable offering bath robes & slippers. For convenience, there is a supermarket just steps away from the property if you need anything. Just a mile away there lies wonderful country-side views of Siena if one enjoys running or hiking. The Piazzo is a short bus ride away, but we managed to walk to & from there in about 20 easy minutes. Great service & the best bang for your buck if you are back-packing Europe on a budget. The B n B is absolutely wonderful! Lorenzo at front desk speaks good English and is very very helpful!.
There is a shuttle that takes you to city center and picks you up also. Quaint tuscan hilltop town.

Great location and a short cab ride to the old city. walking distance to the train station and grocery store. Wonderful breakfast and pool and grounds were so lovely.
Other than the bathroom configuration and it being very small we would definitely stay again

Quiet, charming hotel.

Lovely secluded setting, great breakfast, helpful staff, elegant room, and very handy laundry and drying facilities. There’s even a large Coop next door so we dined al fresco at the hotel every evening. There is a good car park, but the hotel is on the edge of town so a car is recommended to get into Siena.

Quiet, green Oasis -couple of KM to Meals & City

Location is terrific. Walk to the train station and take escalators up to within a few blocks of the walled city of Siena! The hotel is in an oasis of green and Very quiet as well. The pool, while not heated, is lovely! There are no restaurants close by so it’s a another hike back to the city area. Te staff are very helpful and Jessica went out of our way to make our stay a good one! Thank you!

Lovely hotel with the most helpful staff.

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Sienna - nothing was to much for the staff and especially the lovely receptionist. She went above and beyond , with any enquiries. Lovely location , with a beautiful pool to relax at after walking the streets of Sienna. Would recommend it to anyone if you are looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay.
