A little stay

The check in was great even though we arrived over 2hrs early they had the room ready the pool and area was great and the walk down to beach was nice. The food and drinks found good value. The only complaint was the air-conditioning in bedroom was poor and the electrics kept tripping when using hairdryer. But was a good little stay

Solo stay for a week in October for some sunshine and r&r. Ticked all the boxes.
Was allocated a 2nd floor room facing the sun for most of the day which I had asked for. Fabulous communication before arrival (last minute booking). Hotel arranged a taxi from the airport which was great as arrived late at night.

My room was spotless and stayed that way the whole time I was there, housekeeping staff do a fabulous job.

Pool area was clean and quiet most of the time, could move around with the sun if wanted to as plenty of space.

Buffet breakfast has plenty of choice, pastries a little dry, always greater by friendly staff.

I felt perfectly safe staying there on my own and loved the expansive book swap library!

Lovely stay

Had a lovely stay, didn’t realise there was no lift so we exchanged our beautiful 2nd floor sea view apartment for a grounf floor facing the pool. One comment about the apartment is a minor annoyance. The bathroom door opens directly onto the washbasin with very sharp handles that are difficult to negotiate round. We both ended up with bruises on our arms.

Good choice for staying with children

Very cozy hotel. There is a territory for sports activities with children. I liked the restaurant by the pool. The Internet works well. Friendly staff. The beach is not the best, but right next to the hotel there is a bus stop that will take you to Corallia Bay. I recommend this hotel for a holiday with children.

Pobyt w hotelu uważam za udany, cena adekwatna do standardu, jedynie można mieć zastrzeżenia do monotematycznych i słabych śniadań, ale widok z miejsca ich konsumowania rekompesował ten minus.. czystość pokoi utrzymywana na 5+.
Posiadanie auta pomaga w przemieszczaniu się i nie traceniu czasu na jazdę komunikacją miejską, która mimo tego, że przystanek jest przed hotelem to restauracje warte uwagi są niestety nie na miejscu..

Comfortable and clean with beautiful views

The Helios Hotel was a hidden gem. The value of the off season pricing is wonderful. The apartment was very clean and had a great view from the balcony. It’s a $15 Euro taxi into Kato Paphos or just $1.50 Euros taking the bus directly across the street. The so close for a few months during the “off season” as do some of the surrounding businesses within walking distance. The food at the pool bar was surprisingly really good! The owner was very nice and friendly. My only complaints are that the pool is not heated so even though the weather was lively it was still too cold to swim in. Also I asked the front desk to tell the housekeepers not to disturb as there is no do not disturb signs to hang on the door and it was either not communicated or the maids didn’t care, as I work remotely it was pretty annoying to have them come ringing the bell 2 times daily, and just open the door while I was still sleeping after a late night. It would be great if they made the actual rooms nonsmoking but the smell wasn’t too strong. Even though there was a phone it was not plugged in or working lol. There was an oven but I couldn’t figure out how/if it worked, and couldn’t call the front desk on account of the phone situation lol.

Really enjoyed our stay. Our last day was the end of season so bar was only open a few hours each day. Lovely to eat outside at breakfast & lunch. Great views. Ate out at the pub down the road & the Indian opposite. Both recommended. Room was spacious.

Our room (139) was ground floor, facing west on to a small patio with garden furniture; beyond that, a grassy area with palm trees, which led on to the coastal path walkway, and then down to a sandy beach. In the evening, spectacular sunsets and moonshine flooded into our apartment, which was also convenient for the pool, poolside bar and breakfast areas. A bus stop for the No. 615 into Paphos was directly opposite the hotel entrance and restaurants, pubs and car hire firm were all nearby.
All things considered, our apartment was in an ideal location; the room and self-service breakfast were all eminently suitable; and access to wi-fi in the Reception area was adequate for sending/receiving emails, etc. Reception, cleaning and breakfast/bar staff were efficient, hospitable and spoke ood/acceptable English.On the downside, my wife believed that her favourite scarf may have gone missing from our room; the telephone in our room was noisy and unreliable - Reception advised that there was a problem overall. Overall, Helios Bay Apartment was good value for money.

We arrived at the start of the session and so the local amenities were absent. Getting info at times was difficult but perseverance paid off. The local transport was good. Recommend getting a weekly bus pass at 20 euros if going into Paphos or Coral Bay regularly. It's E1.5 each way otherwise. We had breakfast on first day then went out and about.
It was a good base and we enjoyed our stay.

Near a lovely beach. Liked their breakfasts. As we were catching an evening flight back we appreciated having the use of our room extended from noon to 6 pm, even though there was a charge. A kettle was provided - but not a microwave.

The 2 bed villa was set back a few hundred metres from beach, it was away from main hotel but that meant we could have a quiet break in the grounds with private pool shared between 3 units.
Good access to cheap bus service that runs regularly along coast road. The main road can get busy at times but is far enough from. Villa not to be a nuisance.

The room was not what we have expected, we reserved 3 twin beds and got 2 twin bed and a sofa bed. The hotel is situated a few KMs away from the city center, I would say about 3-4 kms, and about 3kms from Coral Bay Beach. (The hotel has it's own beach). There's a bus station right across from the hotel so it would be easy to get to places (we had a rented car). The pool is great for kids and very clean, as are the majority of the facilities of the hotel.

That being said the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay extremely delightful.

first impressions don't always count

At first view The Helios Bay Hotel Apartments doesn't look much and I could easily have been put off
But staying there with friendly staff and having a good look around I changed my opinion
The place is very nice
I think if there was something done about the front view which gave me my first impression then it would help the place a lot

Good self catering apartment near Paphos

We wanted a base to explore Cyrus without the bustle of a big town, with the freedom of self-catering and a pleasant location. Helios Bay was perfect for all of these. There is a good swimming pool, lawn for relaxing, gym, sauna, table tennis etc.
A car made exploring easy, but buses are frequent: the 615 runs every few minutes along the coast road between Coral Bay and Paphos. There's a good seafront walk to Paphos.
There are several restaurants nearby. We didn't get past Siennas (next door). It is a wonderful traditional restaurant serving excellent Cypriot/Greek food with very helpful staff. The prices are very reasonable.
If you are scuba divers, or want a try-dive use Abyss Dive Centre (25m away). Nicos, Alexai and colleagues are brilliant. Well maintained equipment, very safe procedures and excellent customer care.

This place was really nice with beautiful views, gardens and pool. The rooms were very clean and the staff were helpful. The food was reasonably priced in the snack bar too. Close to the beach for swimming. Will definitely be back!!

Apartment was cleaned every day by some lovely ladies who did a good job.
Located on the main road to either Paphos harbour or Coral Bay it's easy to catch a bus.A Lidl supermarket is just down the road for essential supplies.
The hotel is by the sea and gives you a chance for some good strolls.

Nice family run hotel

Very restful break, lovely sea view and beautiful gardens running down to the beach. Good walks along the beach. The paths were even and reasonably well kept. Unfortunately not so on the road side. Good bus service into port and town. We hired a car and found the roads generally ok but occasionally just ran out and you would find yourself in a dead end. The main autoroute through cyprus is very good so tended to use that over all a very good holiday

Great Location overlooking the Sea

It is an older but comfortable property. Nothing fancy here but the views of the Med are outstanding from the balconies. The kitchen has all the basics needed and is well stocked. The beds are comfortable. The location is excellent with a Lidl 5 minutes drive away, the mall 10 minutes and Paphos harbor within 15 minutes. The staff is excellent from the front desk to the house keeping staff. The apartment is cleaned and restocked with linens everyday, a rarity for apartments. A good Breakfast is available although we chose to cook our own. The pool is GREAT!! with a really nice view overlooking the Med. It is rocky in front of the apartments but take a right and 200m is a really big and nice sandy beach. We were there at the end on March before the season so the beach did not have the chairs & lounges out nor did the apartments have the sunbeds on the grass yet. So we grabbed a couple from the pool and took them down there which is where I tanned for 6 days with it being very quiet and a to die for view of the Med . The grounds are very nice, the lemons were great right off the tree. You can follow the concrete walking trails all the way to the harbor if you choose.

I go upgraded to a very large one - bedroom apartment with a fantastic view out over the pool and sea. Good facilities for cooking, good TV, nice balcony and generally very roomy and comfortable. Only downer was that the Wifi was unbearably slow at things - even tho you had to pay for it. And the sofas were a bit hard. But really, fantastic value.

The staff is very friendly, close to beach with good view of the sea, nice pool. The hotel building is a little old, but OK, the rooms are nice and comfortable, including the bed, but the 2 sofas in the living room are simply terrible, painful to sit on.

We loved this hotel. If we return to Paphos, this will definitely be the first place we check for availability. We have two young kids and they loved the view and the balcony right along with us. The crib was already in our room waiting when we got there. We were welcomed and sent off by the staff so kindly. The beach was so close and easy to get to and had such a fun tide pool experience for our three year old. The children's pool was also great for both of our kids. The bar had ice cream for them, too. It was fantastic. The air conditioning in the room for my husband and I worked extremely well. The other one was not as cool, but the apartment stayed nice for the whole trip. It is extremely convenient to have a kitchen for a family trip instead of going out to eat with a baby, so we were also very happy with that.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location on the outskirts of Paphos with local amenities. Lovely one bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the sea. Good bus service from right outside the hotel into Paphos but for the healthy option, coast path all the way along the sea into Paphos harbour with great views along the coast.

Not a good place in my opinion. The only plus is there is a bus stop outside the hotel. On the bad side, the staff are rude and unhelpful, the resort is tired, dirty and very spread out. Would not stay again or recomend. The apartments are very basic.
