So enjoyed stay at Hotel Perla. Airport transport from DBV super easy and communicated well for pick up. Hotel has amazing views and it is easy to get to the beach or see the sites within a few min walk. My room has exceptional view, had clean and fresh linens, and the AC worked so well during the high heat of this August. Hotel staff were graciously accommodating when I extended my stay. Definitely recommend and will visit again!

Great room and en suite. Reception staff and cleaning staff were great. Very relaxing pool area and nice breakfast. We ate elsewhere for food as there are some top restaurants nearby at the Meljine harbour area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Perla is a great facility with a great location, plus very walkable to Old town Herceg Novi and lots of local beaches. However the main thing that stands out about Hotel Perla is the staff!! Every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and very helpful!! Top notch hotel with SUPER Top Notch Staff!! Will hands down stay her again!!

Very nice hotel. We did have a couple of issues but the way in which they were dealt with was excellent and very efficient. The staff at the hotel were brilliant, friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable.

Lovely hotel with very kind and friendly staff who will bend over backwards for you. About. 15-20 mins walk into the town centre. Room had a sea view and there was a small swimming pool and sauna. I would recommend and would come to stay again if I was visiting herceg Novi

Shhhhh it's our secret get away hotel now....

A great hotel setting very high standards. Friendly staff from housekeeping , beachside and reception. The Sauna that was tucked away near to the pool was a great find. Breakfast was not to be missed, I understand that they may be extending the inside restaurant that was limited in space when a storm rained in last week. The taxi transfer driver was knowledgable and funny (highly recommend) if you need to cross from Croatia.

Lovely hotel, direct access to the sea, 15-20 minute stroll into Herceg Novi, with bars and restaurants on the route. Great location, ideal for trips around the bay of Kotor. Very good food and extremely helpful staff.

A fantastic hotel just a short coastal walk from the main central area.

High standard of room with a great view of the pool and lake.

Clean, simple hotel. The public areas have been recently renovated but the the rooms themselves are quite basic and plain - I’m not sure I the hotel is worthy 4 star rating it has on this basis. The breakfast buffet is good. If you’re not driving it’s a bit of a walk to Herceg Novi Old Town (20 minutes)

Excellent hotel in quiet but lovely location

We had a 7 day stay at this excellent hotel. Although 20 minutes walk from the centre of town this suited us as the promenade walk into town was lovely. Room was excellent on the 3rd floor with great views over the entrance to Kotor Bay. Herceg Novi is a nice place to stay and much better than Kotor which is heaving with visitors and cruise ships. The only crticism is that the evening meals could have been better. The food in the hot trays was not hot enough. They must have a lot of waste and would be better having fewer options but cooked fresher and hotter. Would recommend though.

Utterly delightful

Delightful 2-night stay in this very comfortable and well-run hotel. Great views of the Adriatic, beautiful swimming area, terrific breakfast, with staff generally going above and beyond. We would certainly come back for a longer stay!
The beach is a concrete platform, which is actually great to dive or jump from (there are also ladders into the water). I cannot find enough superlatives to describe the water, which was sparkling clear and great for snorkeling (lots of pretty marine life). There are ropes to mark the swimming area, which is great for the purpose of swimming laps.
We had a problem with some electronic beeping in our room, which we were unable to locate. We thought that perhaps a smoke detector battery had run out, but we just couldn't find it, so asked the front desk to see if they could get to the bottom of it. They sent a couple of people to the room who spent quite a long time looking for the cause of the problem and finally realized that the noise was coming from one of our bags -- and a mobile phone was the culprit! They could not have been more gracious.
The wifi connection wasn't great in our room, but it was adequate.
All in all this was a delightful place to stay, and an excellent value. I can't wait to go back.

Nice waterfront location in Hercig Novi

Receptionist was very cordial, friendly, spoke good English, and provided good directions to shopping and things to see. Comfortable room with a/c. Half board was included. Onsite restaurant served a nice dinner, and the breakfast was nice with many selections. Seating for both dinner and breakfast was either inside, or along the water in their covered patio area.
As with our other experiences in Montenegro, there is abundant smoking in restaurants.
A 20 minute walk down the promenade gets you to the harbor area for potential trips to the Blue Cave.
Hotel has multiple levels and buildings. Parking was available at the top. Room stepped out onto promenade which was lovely though required toting luggage up and down stairs.
Eating breakfast on the patio at sunrise was stunning.

Unbelievable scenery!

Everywhere has incredible views beautiful walk along the front of the shore leading to the livier end of the town. Food very good and great Cate taken at designated shore space to provide plenty of Sun lounges.

Great hotel and value

Perla was a great hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was nice. We didn't have a sea view room but that would be even better! The private beach with free sunloungers and umbrellas was great. Breakfast and dinner were included with great variety. 20min walk from old town.

The location on the promenade right by the see was certainly worth the stay. I only wished it was warmer as the crystal clear water was so inviting. all along the beach here were restaurants and stops for a meal or beer.

Bit too quiet

On reflection we stayed too early in the season at La Perla. No more than three rooms were occupied at a time during our week there. Receptionists were polite and very helpful but it did take a while for requests to be dealt with (and the missing handle on the drawer in the wardrobe never was fixed). There was an amazing shower in our bathroom but the only thing that worked was the small head despite a rainhead above, a fan and side jets. Breakfast was of a reasonable variety but did not change from day to day. Eggs and bacon were never more than luke warm and eggs were slightly undercooked - both fried and scrambled. The restaurant was not open, there were no sunbeds or parasols out even tho we had wall to wall sunshine for 5 days. We felt it was poor value for the time of year and lack of amenities.

In Montenegro, skip Kotor and stay in Herci Novi.

Lovely location - swimming is just about perfect, and the small town is delightful. There are some very good restaurants along the harbor - an easy walk along a promenade.

Nice hotel and friendly staff

The hotel has a nice sea view and was fairly easy to find. The room was clean and fairly spacious and the shower was good. Clean towels were provided each day and reception gave you beach towels for sitting in the sun. The hotel beach is concrete but these seem fairly standard for the area. We had a nice stay to rest up for a long drive ahead of us.

Very decent in a small town with limited choices

A newer, smaller hotel... Pros- Very clean, larger room with more modern bath and a good A/C unit, good wifi. Con- Extremely difficult to find due to many one ways and pedistran only streets, limited on street parking, so-so help (checked in late and the evening desk clerk was not that friendly or helpful but we are not sure if he understood us)

Great service, but poor location

First I need to commend the excellent staff! Absolutely 5-star service through and through. However, the hotel was incredibly difficult to find as it was tucked into a local residential neighborhood, and because of this location, there was no parking available. We got the only spot under the awning of the owner's personal residence, and I think it was only available to us because we were the only guests during this off-season. This hotel is located almost 1/2 mile from the old town, making it quite a hike through the steep-hilled area.

Great Location

Although we had significant problems in locating the hotel, once we did, the location is superb. It also allows you to purchase meals etc from a variety of restaurants and shops. While there is no lift, the staff did offer to assist us with our bags. The room was clean and comfortable. If you stay here try to get a front room with a balcony as the ambiance is excellent. The hotel provided an excellent breakfast and the staff tried their best to assist in every way. We were disappointed that we were unable to spend more than one night there as this would have made our experience even better.

A room with a view!

we went there in february and had the place basically to ourselves, i assume it is quite booked out in summertime, being located right at the shore of the lake. the rooms are super comfy and clean and you wake up with an amazing view in the morning, getting a home-made breakfast from the hotel owners. for experiencing montenegro hospitality and countryside this is a fab place to start.

Tolle Küche, sehr abwechslungsreiche Auswahl an Speisen, leider aber Kellner die doch noch ganz arg in den postsozialistischen Zeiten verharrten.

Away from the crowds

Nice location, great aircon, beach was great even though the sandy beach in the pictures did not belong to the hotel. Breakfast was decent, a slight negative was that dairy products were kept in direct sun. Parking was available, but it had a fee if you did not want to park 10 mins away. That was quite a disappointment as we chose the hotel partially based on parking.

Fantastiskt läge vid havet med bra restaurang. Fint rum som var som utlovats på bild med balkong och havsutsikt. Trevlig och vänlig personal både på hotellet och i restaurangen. Fräscht badrum. God frukost (buffe’). Mindre än 20 minuter in till gamla stan.

Fremragende Hotel

Dejligt hotel med en smuk udsigt over bugten. Morgenbuffeten var fantastisk. Hotellet stillede cykler gratis til rådighed, så turen til Herceg Novi Old Town kunne gøres på 5. min. Meget hjælpsomme personale. Receptionisterne var meget hjælpsomme. Hotel Perla kan absolut anbefales.
Alt var bare i orden.

Ottimo hotel di fronte al mare con ottimi servizi:
Ombrelloni e lettini gratuiti per gli ospiti una piscina vista mare un area benessere e un ristorante sublime(avevamo la mezza pensione)i pasti sono stati ottimi e abbondanti.Il paesino di Herceg novi si raggiunge agevolmente dall’hotel tramite una rilassante e bellissima passeggiata lungo mare.
Il personale dell’albergo e’il fiore all’occhiello per la simpatia la gentilezza e la disponibilità.Ci hanno fatto dono di una bottiglia di vino in camera e l’abbiamo molto apprezzato.Grazie di nuovo per tutto.

Smukt beliggende hotel

Hotellet ligger smukt lige ned til vandet, hvor der er fine bademuligheder og en promenade, der giver mulighed for kilometervis af gå- eller løbetur. Vi var der i oktober og det virkede som om, at hotellet kørte på halv kraft eller var delvist lukket for sæsonen. Restauranten var kun åben til morgenmad, og man kunne ikke få en kop kaffe i løbet af dagen. Der var kun få liggestole på stranden, hvoraf nogle var gået i stykker. Værelset var dejligt og havde en fantastisk udsigt over Kotor-bugten. Køleskabet larmede dog en del. God morgenmad og venlig betjening.

Vi hadde et trivelig opphold, topp service. Personalet var utrolig imøtekommende og blide. Hotell rett ved sjøen og liten strand, rom med sjøutsikt fra balkongen. Stille område med strandpromenaden. Variert og bra mat til frokost og middag. Anbefaler dette hotellet.

Eine Perle unter den Hotels

Wir hatten uns das HOTEL extra gebucht, um meinen 60. Geburtstag in angenehmer Atmosphäre zu verbringen.
Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht: Das Hotel ist ein feines, ideal zum Strand gelegenes, ruhiges Haus. Unser Superior-Zimmer hat den Erwartungen voll entsprochen: Blick auf das Meer und die Bucht von Kotor von beiden Balkonen.
Das Frühtück bietet eine überwältigende Vielfalt auch lokaler Spezialitäten, ebenso das abendliche Buffet.
Auch die Service-Orientierung des Personals läßt nichts zu wünschen übrig.
