The staff was amazing! From checking in William was helpful, knowledgable, friendly and patient. Special shoutout to one of the best bartenders, Jorge, and his delicious drinks and shots! Also a shoutout to all of the entertainment team for keeping the fun going! Especially Babyface, London, and Erik (Mr. Yummmyyy!!) Very clean, happy, and a fun party or a relaxing environment for whichever you prefer.

We checked into Dreams Royal Resort on May 27, 2026, at approximately 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, the front desk informed us that our room was not yet ready and asked us to return at 3:00 PM for our room number and keys. We had two separate reservations—one for my fiancé and me, and another for my daughter.When we returned at 3:00 PM, my daughter’s room was ready, but ours was not. We were initially told to come back in 15 minutes. After waiting, we returned and were informed that there had been a water leak in our assigned room and that another room would need to be located. Thirty minutes later, we were told there had been a mix-up with our reservation and were asked to wait an additional 15 minutes while it was sorted out. Eventually, we were assigned a ground-floor room and were told it was an upgrade. However, when we arrived, the room keys did not work, and the room was located directly next to the pool entrance, making it very noisy. I returned to the front desk and explained that the room was not an upgrade but a downgrade from what we had reserved. After another 10–15 minute wait, we were finally reassigned to a room on the third floor. The room itself was nice, although the shower head was broken. Prior to our wedding on Friday, my fiancé had spoken with the concierge and requested that champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and roses be waiting in our room that evening. He was informed that the resort did not provide roses but could arrange for them through an outsi

The only thing we didn’t like was when you go to the beach the Haitian's were waiting to scam you every day. If they could get them off the beach the experience would have been 100x’s better.

The staff was phenomenal!! The rooms were clean, comfortable and very spacious. We loved this resort and would definitely go back again especially having the knowledge we now have!!

The property looked beautiful from a view. The jacuzzi didn’t work. The pool had a brown stain around it. The food at the buffet was always cold The hibachi restaurant only had beef and chicken and pre-cooked vegetables. There was no shrimp included, but they did serve sushi at the end which I don’t eat so I have no idea how that tasted. They advertise a steakhouse, but it is what it is is a beach grill with hamburgers and hotdog They had a lot of cats lingering around in the food area outside no matter how much ice you put in the drinks they do not get cold. My husband and I both had diarrhea and nausea. Mine lasted for several hours. It lasted for five days.

Not impressed . Only spa experience was great and friendly. Restaurants are okey and make sure don’t order steak medium or medium rare because it will be over well done. French restaurant was the only one who had great service and good. It’s a must! Pool towel guy was smart ass. Service in general sucks and they barely say hi around there. Beach was nice . Drinks water down unless u tip them well.

Bellboy was more than 15 minutes late to collect our luggage for checkout and we were late for our transfer. We had to go to checkout ourselves with all of our luggage after we waited 17 minutes. We were part of the Preferred Club so that should not have been a problem. Pools were clean and nice. Food was okay. Buffet didn’t have enough serving utensils every time we were there. Despite me being 23 and the drinking age in DR being 18, I was not given any alcoholic drinks probably 70% of the time. Most bars didn’t even ID but still would not give me alcohol. They would just give me daiquiri mix with no rum without saying anything. The infinity pool bar did ID, but it was very annoying to have to leave the pool and go all the way back to my room to get my ID. I can’t carry an ID in my swimsuit and I don’t want to have to carry a bag around the whole resort. The resort should have wristbands or a better way to identify that occupants are over 18 without having to carry around an ID. Jose was a very good concierge, though.

We had a private concierge called Junior Chavez who was great a took care of us the whole time we were there, definitely gave it the VIP experience. We would love to go back!

The best part of our stay was the staff. They were all friendly and willing to help. They would always check if everything was OK. The entertainment team was awesome, having fun activities and keeping energy high for the entire family. Their names were Pokemon, Tarzan, Pikachu, Brownie, DJ Hendy, and Tony Montana.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana is an amazing family friendly resort. The staff are incredible and friendly! The entertainers/host have amazing energy and help make the stay fun! The bar selection is okay, I recommend figuring out what your selection of preferred mixes prior to coming here! The facilities are kept clean and room service is fantastic! My only concern is the bridges are slippery, they do have slippery signs up but regardless there should be a change to the flooring there just to prevent falls as I almost slipped as well! Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend to a friend or family member!

This resort is absolutely a 10/10! Incredible! There is not a thing I would change. The food, the drinks, the rooms, the service and staff, the grounds, everything was exceptional. We found everything to be extremely clean and well taken care of, the staff was absolutely incredible, kind, friendly and funny. We traveled with 3 young kids 5 and under and they had an absolute blast, the resort is extremely mid and family friendly. We cannot wait to return and couldn’t recommend this resort enough!!

The beach is excellent at the resort and it is very easy to entry the ocean. Overall the service provided by all of the staff e.g. entertainment, food & beverage and housekeeping was very good. The selection of restaurants was also very good including the quality and selection of food.

We stayed here and paid extra for the Preferred Club, expecting better service and an upgraded experience, but it was very disappointing.
Customer service was inconsistent—only a few staff members were helpful. At one point, my young kids were wet and cold at the pool and there were no towels available. After asking multiple employees and waiting, I had to go to the lobby myself to get towels.
Restaurants were overcrowded despite being “exclusive.” We waited about an hour to be seated and another hour for food. Service was slow and inattentive, and at hibachi we were rushed out within 45 minutes. Food was just average.
Beach is beautiful, but no drink service and no real exclusive area for Preferred Club guests (despite what’s advertised).
Entertainment is limited and starts too late for kids (around 9 PM).
Room cleanliness and maintenance were also issues—we had to repeatedly call for housekeeping, and our outdoor tub never worked despite multiple requests.
Overall, we paid a lot expecting a premium experience and did not receive it. The best part of the trip was simply spending time with family—not the resort itself. I would not recommend upgrading to Preferred Club here.

Pools were lower temperature than desired as an alternative to the ocean. Some staff were friendly, some were not or were passive. Food quality was mostly poor for the resort price compared to other all-inclusives that we’ve visited. Our deluxe king was basic. The beds very comfortable. Jacuzzi tub on terrace. View of coconut trees and some flowers, but faced the service road where the workers travel and many trucks and delivery vehicles. The staff was 50/50 in terms of service. Some obviously enjoyed their work snd others rather indifferent. Everyone works very hard and are efficient.
The food is incredibly great both in the buffet and the specialty restaurants, and you do not have to make a reservation except for Fusion. The entertainment at night in the open area is different every night. I’d highly recommend the Dominican show on Thursday night . They are truly proud of their country and very talented.
Lots of families at this resort and babies. They have many kids’ activities all day and before the shows. I was told 127 kids while there early March .
I’d recommend this place more for the younger set. Wet walkways, narrow paths to navigate the pool area by the beach, long lines at dinner time, rowdy Spring breakers, all made me feel a bit overwhelmed (I’m 75)

Great entertainment every night along with pool parties and DJ during the day. Minimal kids staying while we were here . If your thinking of staying at secrets next door it is very big and open and for a much older crowd. People 65 plus sleeping and snoring by the pool without the music and pool fun atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone 18 to 55 years old who like to have fun and interact with others.

Have been to this property many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. This time the experience was lacking a little bit. They told us on arrival that they were full and that was very obvious (we never received our welcome drink). There was constant empty glasses and litter lying around, they ran out of towels and service was just lacking. It was very disappointing as this is a resort we really love and now might not come back.

The staff was very accommodating with everything, and always with a smile. The pool activities were always fun and entertaining. The food was great although we are always very happy with the buffets. There is such a selection to choose from. Our concierge Emmanuel Morillo checked on us every day to make sure we were happy as he did last year when we stayed. The beaches were kept clean and, you could take long walks and feel safe. We will definitely be back!

The resort is amazing. Food was very good, not great but you will not go hungry. Everything was great EXCEPT for a very high pressure sales pitch to get you to spend 14k on a Hyatt Travelers Club Membership. They offer coupons and a free message and \"take you to breakfast\". After breakfast they \"show you around the rsort\". After being passed off from 1 salesman to the next and multiple package offers later, we were aloud to escape. Without that it wouldve neen 5 stars for sure. Just beware of \"free gifts\" when you arrive. But awesome trip.... would absolutely go back.

This is our second time staying at a Dreams resort and while we had a great time, I think the experience at the resort could have been better.
Pros:
Bar staff were friendly, the activities (like aqua fit) were fun and entertaining, the beach area is well maintained and easy to access. The layout of the resort is nice and you can find a pool very close to the rooms. Breakfast had good variety. The lazy river is nice and relaxing.
Cons:
The staff is friendly but some of them act very irritated when you ask them questions (this happened multiple times at different times of the day). Some of them didn’t realize I spoke Spanish and would make snide remarks at my husband and our friends not realizing I could understand them. The food was subpar - everywhere we ate for dinner. Neither the iron nor the blow dryer worked in our room - which was never addressed by the front desk when brought up to their attention. They currently have construction going on so the night club shared by Dreams and Secrets isn’t opened. Tons and tons of vendors approached us multiple times at the beach so it was hard to relax sometimes.

I would say overall- it was a good experience but I’ve had a better experience in Cancun. I hope to comeback to DR to a different resort and hope we can enjoy it more.

This resort truly exceeded our expectations. Candidly, we were a bit hesitant about trying an all‑inclusive for the first time, especially after hearing mixed reviews from others. But after this experience, I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort to all of our family and friends.

Not only was the property absolutely gorgeous, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt completely comfortable and right at home. Everyone we interacted with was kind, patient, and attentive. The grounds were beautifully maintained—perfectly manicured and clean. I was blown away by how luxurious the beach, pools, and rooms felt.

The food and drinks were also great. Every restaurant we tried exceeded our expectations. We had no issues at all with the food, and there were plenty of options each night throughout our six‑night stay.

We didn’t leave the resort once, and honestly, we felt like we could have stayed even longer. There was so much to enjoy that we were perfectly content and relaxed the entire time. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this resort.

The rooms are clean and have everything you need! There are multiple restaurants to choose from and the food is pretty good! My room was next to the outdoor stage where they held the daily shows from 7/8pm until 11pm. It was frustrating that I could not relax in my room during that time as music, live performances, karaoke were blasting. The food was mediocre, buffet food was not warm or varied and the restaurants had such long waits it was inconvenient. If you wanted to relax in quiet there was no area by the pool or at the beach that didnt have the activation team or music playing. Depends what you are looking for in your trip. The staff was very kind and friendly, no issue there.

Not good if you’re looking for a real vacation to relax , it was too many rules and there was always complaints about certain rooms even if you’re not in it for noise complaint. The staff was friendly but the resort is not ran properly and takes the fun and enjoyment out of a lot of opportunities at the resort.

We had a fabulous week at Dreams RBPC. The staff was friendly and responsive. Our Concierge, Michael, was wonderful. He was quick to help us, but not invasive. He was able to fulfill every request we had including dinner reservations, mini bar requests,a shopping trip to Chez Nicole (highly recommend), and extra hangers. He checked on us every morning via What’s App and then in person he found us daily at the beach. We will request him when we return.

Miguelito was a joy to see every day on the Preferred beach. He’s very attentive and available, but not invasive. I felt that serving fruit on sticks in the morning at the beach and popsicles at the Preferred pool was a nice touch.

The room was spotless every day. We LOVED our Preferred Swim Out room in the new section. The shower had nice full-sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The water pressure is great. The pools were small, but plentiful and beautiful.

We liked the quiet Preferred side for resting and sleeping. We had no problem finding beach and pool chairs ever. The drinks were great (both with or without alcohol) and they do not skimp on alcohol. The soda from the bars is almost always flat, so I went tropical mixed drinks instead. Good decision.

The smoke only bothered us once and that was on the beach, so we moved and it was fine. The vendors are not pushy on the beach. A simple “no gracias” will do.

The food was just ok. But we always found something. Service is slow at restaurants. We will return!

Overall, we had a good stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana, but I’m rating it 4 stars based on comparisons to other all-inclusive resorts I’ve visited, particularly in Mexico.

The service here was friendly, but noticeably slower and less attentive than what I’ve experienced at comparable resorts in Mexico. Staff were kind and welcoming, just not as consistently proactive or polished.

The food quality was good, but not excellent. We enjoyed our meals, though nothing stood out as exceptional compared to other all-inclusive dining experiences.

We did upgrade our room, and while the room itself was very nice once we got in, there was a 2 hour and 40 minute delay before we were able to access it, which was frustrating. That said, once settled, the upgraded room was comfortable and enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a relaxing all-inclusive experience with excursions, great service, and top-tier food, I would personally choose Mexico over Punta Cana based on my experiences. That said, this resort is still a solid option and we did enjoy our stay overall.

I had a swim out room, it had a jacuzzi and a cabana we LOVED it. The room was spotless and housekeeping was great, room service was very prompt my concierge Emmanuel was perfect. The shuttles were great when it did rain and the staff in general were kind, fun and always smiling. We will definitely be coming back. I went to Dreams back in 2020 so coming this second time was great and I loved all the renovations that were done!!! 100/10

The hotel is beautiful with a great swimming pool and landscaping! But the breakfast/lunch buffet is horrible.
Nothing fresh everything looks sad even the basic like coffee/ fruits/salad. Dinner is good and staff at dinner restaurants are good but the only one cafe and buffet restaurant are sad and staffs at those places are not friendly and not present. Kids club staffs are lovely

Really good place, swimmout room was an excellent choice with child. Large property offering water park, ocean front end endless pools. Late check out for 20 per hour give us an extra day before departure. 30 min from the airport. Was little suprised that staff didn't enforced no smoking by the pools rules..... Highly recomended.
