As of this writing, I am still waiting to hear back from the hotel…

We had to leave early due to a family emergency. We left two nights early and the General Manager informed me we would be refunded for two nights. I emailed the hotel three times and they have not replied to my emails. I contacted my credit company to file a partial dispute for two nights. This is dissapointing that the hotel has not responded or issued the refund. The rooms in the resort are outdated and dark. There is no sofa only uncomfortable wicker chairs at least in our room. The fan has only one speed - high. Service was slow. Minibar is only restocked when you ask it to be. No snacks like other all inclusive resorts. The restaurants did have decemt food.

The landscaping was beautiful but for a Secrets Resort, I was pretty disappointed. My room seemed nothing special about it, paid less in other resorts and had bigger and better rooms. My sheets always felt damp, the tub was old and cracked and floor felt dirty. Definitely needs updating! The food was just ok- hibachi and the steakhouse were the two that were good. Considering that we were able to share restaurants with the neighboring Resort “Dreams” is pretty sad that the variety was not enough to choose from. They were the same restaurants with different names. As for the drinks, most were too sweet with watered down alcohol level. Unless you had shots. The shows were excellent and the staff overall were very nice and accommodating. They also had a “preferred” program for an extra $1000.00 which gave you an orange towel, private pool and cabana, an extra restaurant and TOP SHELF LIQOUR, like I didn’t pay enough.
Prior to arrival I had emailed the resort that the couple we were traveling with were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary to please have something special for them such as a bottle of champagne and strawberries and if there was a cost I would pay it. Well that never happened. When I had the chance to talk someone, they apologized, stated it was noted in the system but I wasn’t charged. So that was disappointing.
In the end, we still had a great time!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The resort was well maintained and gorgeous. The food was pretty good, we especially liked the food at the French restaurant . The beaches were well maintained and we didn’t have an issue with sargassam at all. Our butler Eramy, was attentive and helpful. The bartenders at the Drifter Pool Bar team were great! Sammy Sosa and Sebastian made the best drinks! Algeny, server at the preferred beach section took care of us the whole trip! Last but not least, Jasmerlin at the front desk was so sweet and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back!

5 star hotel.
I don’t like the way the hotel tries to upsell you to a preferred tier when you check in. Why don’t they put those offers on Expedia so I can make that decision when I book the trip and not on a whim when I arrive to the resort.
This seems to be a going trend among most resorts these days.
The room service food was terrible. Other than that I would definitely recommend the resort.

We booked preferred which is absolutely worth the extra money. Our personal butler for the week was WARNES and he is AMAZING. The kindest, friendliest, most attentive companion to have when you visit. He truly made our stay so special. The staff from the time you check in until you check out is nothing but top tier. The resort is fantastic and all of the food and amenities are fantastic. Room service, house keeping, mini bar service and any other service is very attentive. The preferred lounges and areas are very well kept. Entertainment was fun during the day and in the evenings. We will definitely be going back to this resort!

Our stay at Secrets Royal Beach was beyond amazing. The staff, especially Marvis our VIP concierge, Angel, our pool waiter and Julio at the preferred loung were absolutely fabulous. Each of them were so attentive and helpful and I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. The grounds were immaculately maintained, the shows were very well done and the rooms were clean and kept at a perfect temperature. Would highly recommend!! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We went for an anniversary trip- started at another resort (big mistake - worst place ever) so couple days in we switched to secrets royal. (We previously stayed at secrets baby beach in Aruba and loved it) from the minute walking into the lobby, everything was wonderful. The staff was friendly but also helpful ! Food was great throughout the resort and the resort is just small/big enough to be able to walk and have different areas and activities to do. When you get there, upgrade to preferred - it is 100% worth it, especially at this secrets resort because there’s two preferred pools available, we went to the one with the swim up bar , and there’s a beach front restaurant for preferred as well. Preferred club they also set you up with a butler. Our butler was Orlando and he checked in on us our whole trip and made sure we knew everything about the resort and had everything we needed. Also Gia at the front desk is a big help & Rosa and Fanny at the preferred pool are the best waitresses ever!!
We will 100% be going back!

Our room wasn’t the best. We found human hair in the shower and all over the bath tub, the floors were dirty and there were stains on the bedding and the sofa. Of course we made the hotel aware but they didn’t change our room.. so that was extremely disappointing.

However, the hotel itself was very nice. The staff were amazing and the amenities were good. I really enjoyed the spa… absolutely worth it.

We recently stayed at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana and while the resort itself is nice, our experience with the “special breakfast” presentation was extremely disappointing.

We were invited the day before to attend what was described as a special breakfast with a 60-minute presentation. Instead, it turned into a nearly 3-hour high-pressure sales pitch during a regular breakfast. We were rushed while eating and had to answer questions throughout, which took away from the experience entirely.

Even after clearly declining multiple times, we were passed between several representatives and the process continued. At one point, we were even encouraged to misrepresent how long we had been together, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Toward the end, one of the representatives made a remark implying the decision was about whether we could afford it, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable.

This also impacted a scheduled excursion we had later that day, taking away valuable vacation time we had planned in advance.

To make matters worse, we later spoke with another couple who went through the same process and received $400 in compensation, while we were given only $80. That inconsistency, combined with the time lost and overall experience, was very disappointing.

We attempted to address this directly with the hotel but received no meaningful resolution and were told the program operates independently, they practically blew me off. Would not recommend....

This was my baecation ever and we had an amazing time! Both Check-in and check-out processes were smooth. Euris helped us with our check-in and he got us a room with the jacuzzi tub on the balcony. It really elevated our experience!

The room was gorgeous! It was clean and we had everything we needed.

We spent a lot of time at the pool with the swim up bar. The bartender, Alex, was hilarious and was always showing us a good time. There was another taller bartender there but I forgot his name. They were both lively and it was great for the pool vibes! We were able to have our speaker out there and create our own vibe. There was also a basketball hoop in the pool too so we were able to play that as well.

We didn’t go to the beach much but when we went, the water was beautiful. We ended up connecting with a vendor on the beach and were transported to a boat party on our last day. They did offer parasailing as well, but we didn’t get to do those.

The food was delicious! My boyfriend said that the Mexican place was delicious (I agree). But the Bluewater grill had short rib which was phenomenal! I was thinking about it every day since we had it. Breakfast at the buffet was always solid. We liked the omelettes and those delicious hash-browns! We did the hibachi restaurant as well and we didn’t teppanyaki experience; they didn’t do tricks BUT the food was amazing!

Overall, we would come back to this resort! Thank you!

I can't find enough good things to say about this resort, honestly. My best friend and I were here for our first time in DR and our expectations were certainly exceeded. We had the BEST experience and the staff here are incredible. Breakfast at the buffet? TEN OUT OF TEN! Whew. We ate a lot and all the restaurants had great service and food. The buffet breakfast was just our fav. Dany, Denisse(in the Cafe), Erick, Kelvin, Junior, Hot Coffee, Chocolate were all incredible and contributed positively to our experience. The rooms are sweet and comfortable. I didn't get to enjoy the tub in our room because we were out so much. The chairs near the beach are covered and the attendants are wonderful in keeping your cups filled. I could write all day. It was a great atmosphere. The pools are nice. There were spaces for peace and quiet and some to have a dance party. Loved it and will be back<3

The food was good overall, although we were told the wait time would be about an hour. Most of the restaurants are first come, first served, which can be a bit inconvenient during busy times.

The staff were generally friendly; however, it was noticeable that some staff members spoke to each other in Spanish while serving guests, which came across as unprofessional.

Check-in could have been improved, as the front desk agent was talking on her earphones while assisting us. Unfortunately, the checkout experience was not pleasant—the staff member seemed rushed, did not thank us, and did not ask for any feedback.

On a positive note, the night entertainment was a highlight of the stay—absolutely amazing shows, great beach area, pools are amazing overall a very nice and relaxing experience.

The hotel was very nice. Upon arrival, the gate security are very diligent about visitors coming in and out so it is very secure. The hotel staff are all very friendly. Our room was very spacious, clean, stocked— the only exceptions were that the balcony door did not lock and the vent plate on the hot tub was falling off.
The food was very good, we weren’t a fan of the buffet for dinner, it was perfect for breakfast though. The restaurants there were very good quality which can be rare for all inclusive resorts. Bluewater Grill and the French restaurant were my personal favorites..
The pool is nice, just that other guests hog up seats with placing their towels and sometimes leave without removing it assuming that staff will take it away. So you’re stuck guessing of someone is there or not, looking for a seat for a while. The drinks were good at the pool too, and they have a snack bar on the beach. The beach was very clean and the sand was very fine and soft. I highly recommend this resort for couples and anyone looking to relax. You will not find rambunctious spring breakers here.

We booked the priority member Junior suite with the private pool and everything was perfect! The room was very clean with a beautiful/clean private pool and had a breathtaking view of the garden and two of the pools on the grounds. Our butler, Irving, was so amazing!! He was very attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming. He sent us daily itineraries for the resort activities and always made sure that we had everything we needed. He even helped organize a surprise for my boyfriend whose birthday was the day after our arrival which was so appreciated!! I also want to mention that the staff at the private priority member pool on the beach was amazing! They were so attentive and made sure that I never spent a moment without a drink in my hand lol. Sammy at the inside bar was our absolute favorite! You will not regret staying at this resort. We had an amazing vacation and will definitely be back very soon!

We had such an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Our bell attendant, Ramon, was incredibly sweet and always available if we had any questions. At the front desk, Gia and Ricardo were wonderful — they explained everything clearly and with such care and kindness.

The restaurant staff were just as impressive. Sonia was especially sweet and went above and beyond by remembering me, my family, and even our names — that personal touch meant so much to us. Cindy was also so kind and welcoming. Every staff member we encountered was warm and attentive.

The rooms were very clean, and the food was consistently an 8/10 throughout our stay. Overall, I truly loved all the staff and appreciated the exceptional hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!

My luggage was lost on arrival to the resort and after an hour of people standing around, someone finally found it after it had been accidently taken to a different room because random tags were placed on suitcases....Shuttle service too/from the airport was very splotchy and no one had a list of people coming and going so you knew how many people were going to be dropped off beforehand so you can plan a time to get to airport for departure. Otherwise yes everyone was very sweet and food was good

The time we got there the check in process was not smooth. It took 2 hours to get the room and get our luggage. There was a staff member there Orlando who was nothing but unprofessional from the time we got there to the time we checked out . They added on additional charges that was never agreed to. There was never a manger on site to rectify the problem . We always got the run around when asked to speak to someone higher up about the matter. I was very unsatisfied with my stay here and would not recommend this to family or friends.

The resort is beautiful, very, very, clean and the staff are extremely accommodating. Great restaurants. I do not recommend spending the extra $’s for the “partial” ocean view room. You need to use your binoculars, stand on your tip-toes, and lean to get that partial view.

Front desk employees are amazing, they are super helpful and friendly,

The rooms need a serious upgrade. We had a butler but it was very hard to get in contact with him.He never checked on us.We always have to reach out to him.
