Nuestra estancia en el Meliá Caribe Beach Resort comenzó con algunos inconvenientes debido a un malentendido al momento del check-in. Habíamos reservado una suite con jacuzzi y un regalo de bienvenida; sin embargo, eso no fue lo que nos asignaron al llegar. A su favor, el personal hizo todo lo posible al día siguiente para reubicarnos y solucionar la confusión de la noche anterior.
A pesar de esto, durante la cena experimentamos serios problemas de servicio. La atención fue increíblemente lenta: tardaron una hora entera solo en traernos el pan y la mantequilla de cortesía. El camarero tardaba mucho en rellenar nuestras bebidas y, cuando por fin llegó la comida, estaba fría. Después de expresar nuestra inconformidad, afortunadamente todo cambió para mejor gracias a una empleada excepcional: Anyerina Gautreaux.
Anyerina hizo un esfuerzo extraordinario para mejorar nuestra estancia. Se encargó personalmente de nuestras reservas para cenar, estuvo pendiente de nosotros antes y después de las comidas, e incluso cambió su horario de trabajo para estar disponible en cualquier momento que lo necesitáramos. También se encargó de organizar nuestra salida sin contratiempos. Gracias a ella y al trabajo en equipo de otros miembros del personal, el resto de nuestras vacaciones fue maravilloso. Estamos sumamente agradecidos con Anyerina y el equipo por cambiar por completo nuestra experiencia.

La instalación de forma general está bien, la atención del personal en cualquier área fue de primera, el área del Water Park, mi niña la disfruto al 100% está muy bien pensado y sobre todo que tiene para comer ahí mismo y no hay que salir. El único punto flaco para mí, que me gusta disfrutar de la comida, fue el bufet, muy básico y muy poca variedad, también en ocasiones se demoran en reponer, en general creo que deberían mejorar ( MUCHO ).

We enjoyed our time at Melia Caribe. We ate at the buffet but also enjoyed two restaurants during our short stay (Sun-Wed). We also enjoyed the spa (massage & pedicure). With it being our first time in Punta Cana, I feel this was a good choice. If you join the FB group while there it does make it feel more like a community.

The pools where nice and clean, beach area clean only on the level side, make sure you get your room on the level area, the deluxe room, needs a little TLC.
Breakfast: the eggs and fruits were good, but you you want pancakes,French toast they were very hard, they said that we had to make reservations to restaurant for dinner, but sometimes they didn’t have any space for us. Buffet restaurant where okay, I ate something that made me very sick of my stomach, then my husband got sick, we were 9 in total only two didn’t get sick of their stomach. Staff very helpful

Stayed here for a birthday celebration and genuinely enjoyed it. The Level package is a solid deal for the pool area alone and the restaurants. However the alcohol and food overall were only slightly better, with the exception of the Japan restaurant which was the best food and a great presentation. The friendly staff and genuine care is what made the stay relaxing and suitable for most.

I rated 4 because I feel the pool could use a little more cleaning and some maintenance there’s a lot of peeling paint that roughs your feet up…. The resort in itself is pretty clean the food was ok for our liking but we also are aware we are in a different country and they do and cook differently than we do!

We did encounter 3 rude waitresses for no reason just looked miserable and like they didn’t want to be there no smile no hello no anything… everyone else’s attitude made up for those 3 bad apples

Rooms are clean at-least ours was, but we did ask for one more pillow and blanket as my mom gets cold easily and never received it even after asking 3 times. Even when messaging Level Host to help get them we never received them! To be clear I didn’t ask the room attendant because I didn’t see here after the first day but she was awesome inside if I would’ve seen her again she would’ve made it happen!

The beach isn’t as clear as I was told it was going to be and I’m just going to assume this part of punta Cana doesn’t have clear water like others do, the water is warm though!

Over all we left happy and relaxed which is all we went for anyway!

We were a group of 16; 11 adults and 5 kids. Every person in our group had a wonderful time!
The first day there we had a medical emergency and staff assisted us quickly. Our concierge, Filipe, came to the hospital and sat with our family members until we came back to the resort several hours later. He continued to check in on our family throughout the stay! We couldn’t give Filipe enough praise for his assistance and friendliness!
Several other staff continuously checked on our family also after the emergency!
The waitstaff at all of the restaurants were very welcoming and friendly.
The golf cart transporters were all nice. We especially recommend Diaz! He went above and beyond to assist our family and ensure we all had the transportation we needed!
The beach is beautiful! The pool was a lot of fun with different activities and pool aerobics! The kids loved the splash area with the slides!
We didn’t have any complaints about the food, and no one got sick as I have seen from various other reviews.
Overall, we would recommend this resort to everyone!

Pool and surrounding areas are clean. Property grounds are maintained very well. Beach was one of the only clean ones even with the heavy algae in the oceans. Staff was helpful except for one situation. We got offered an upgrade, told it would be $500(USD) for the stay. I said ok sure. Another gentleman came over and said, actually its $300 cash and I couldn't use my credit card? Super weird but other than that it was fine. WATER IN THE SHOWER AND TUB DID NOT GET HOT! We got to take one shower that was even remotely lukewarm after them trying to fix it 3 times. We did get offered to move rooms but after a day and being completely unpacked, it wasn't worth the hassle.

I had a great experience staying at Meliá Caribe Beach Resort in Punta Cana. The property is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and easy access to a stunning beach. The resort is very large, but transportation around the property was convenient and made getting around easy.

The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, always willing to help and make sure guests were comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious, and provided everything needed for a relaxing vacation.

I especially enjoyed the variety of food and drinks available. There were plenty of dining options, so it was easy to find something different each day. The pools were clean and enjoyable, and there were lots of activities available for guests who wanted to stay active or be entertained.

I would definitely recommend Meliá Caribe Beach Resort to anyone visiting Punta Cana and would happily stay here again in the future!

The rooms were spacious and clean; however, I believe any stained bed sheets should be replaced to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. For added safety, especially for families with children, it would also be beneficial to have locks installed on the room doors.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. Since the property is quite large, it would be helpful if the trolley service circulated more frequently.

The food was amazing, the pool was excellent, and the bar service was outstanding. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily visit again.

The location is great and the grounds are beautiful, but the housekeeping staff is terrible. I’m not sure if our room sat vacant for a while or not, but there were cobwebs in almost every corner and under the beds. With that being said, they were still there everyday after the housekeepers came. Luckily, we weren’t in our rooms a lot. The last day of our stay our girls woke up to a worm in the room and a cockroach in their bathroom.

Outside of that, the staff is very nice and Anny was very sweet and helpful! There were plenty of restaurant options available and the waiters were super nice!

Starting off, the staff is very unpleasant, even when tipping they snatch the tip from your hands as if it was due. The rooms were not dirty, but they certainly werent clean. Both the adjoining suites I booked had bad A/C, I had to repack after 2 nights and move to different suites in different buildings. The refrigerator was not cooling properly, causing my medication to get ruined. The resort refused to reimburse me for it stating that I should have told them I would be bringing medication. Would they have given me a working refrigerator then? After over a week of back and forth they determined that the fridge is meant for minibar purposes and therefore they are not liable. I hung the do not disturb sign on both the doors and my room was entered by room secvice several times. If youre considering staying here, I would reconsider. There are nicer places with better service.

Overall, we had a good stay at Melia Caribe Punta Cana, but there were a few issues that prevented it from being a great experience.

Our first impression was disappointing because the lady who checked us in was very rude and not welcoming. Fortunately, the rest of the staff throughout the resort were attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service.

The rooms were a bit outdated, but they were clean and in good condition, so that was not a major issue for us.

The biggest problem was the presence of roaches. We found a large roach in our room, which was very upsetting, and later saw several more in the restaurant near the beach. This was something we did not expect and it really affected our overall experience.

Other than those concerns, the resort was beautiful, the amenities were enjoyable, and most of the staff were wonderful. With better pest control and a more professional check-in experience, this could be an excellent place to stay.

Upon arrival, it was necessary to make multiple visits to receive all the amenities and services included with the stay. We had to go on three separate occasions for different needs, such as activating the wristband and obtaining the card required to use the safe.

Although housekeeping service was provided daily, it may be beneficial to review the pest control measures, as there were small cockroaches in the bathroom.

Please consider extending room service hours, especially during the evening, since only the café area is available at night.

Additionally, transportation service should be more accessible. We had to walk long distances to reach different areas of the resort because the shuttle carts were not passing by regularly.

The best service we received was at the pool area, provided by Wilfredo and Allaury, along with two other team members whose names I unfortunately do not remember. They were friendly, professional, and made our experience much more enjoyable. We truly appreciated their excellent attitude and the great time we had with them.

The lobby, the pools, entertainment and buffet areas were AMAZING! Everything was well kept and food never ran low! The drinks were VERY sugary but THEY WERE ALWAYS READY!

La atención que le dan a los niños y todas las actividades es algo que gusta a nosotros los huespedes. La diversión en todos los lugares que visitabas del hotel muy buena. La limpieza muy buena. Los restaurantes excelentes, su comida y el personal 20/10. Estoy muy complacida con este hotel me llevo un lindo recuerdo de mi estadía, del personal y de todo lo que vivimos durante 5 dias. Solo quiero dar una buena recomendación el área de comida de 24 horas debe tener mas variedad ya que a veces los niños le da hambre por la noche y solo tenían sándwich unos dulces y cafe. La comida excelente. Lo recomiendo y visiten este lugar muchas personas no habla bien de él, pero la verdad me llevo las mejores atenciones tanto para mi como para mis hijos, todo es excelente.

I highly recommend Melia Caribe. The resort is beautiful and excellent. The beach, grounds and pools are beautiful. Rooms are well maintained, and very clean. The restaurants are very nice and offer fresh, high quality, great variety, and great tasting food. In addition entertaintment was very good and shows and music were fun.
The staff is very professional, polite, friendly and helpful. We felt welcome by the people who work for Melia.
I really appreacity the friendly and helpful staff including Yohana (Riviera), Reynardo Sanches, Yordi Cedeño (Level lobby), and Franciti Marcial (cart driver).

Melia is a great place to stay. The environment was clean and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed the nightly family oriented entertainment. We would prefer if smokers would have a designated area during entertainment. My mom with breathing issues could not handle the cigarette smoke. We loved that the entertainment was different every night. The hotel uses WhatsApp and we could contact our representative for anything and they always delivered. Our servers were friendly and remembered us. Any was amazing.

We were treated awful by most of the staff! Lots of eye rolls and flat out being ignored! The food was terrible with very little options for children. We asked to change rooms because they put us right next to the lobby that played loud music till midnight, but was told we had to check out for 5 hours with no promise for another room. The grounds are beautiful, but will never return or recommend. We are Expedia platinum and booked the Level. We weren't given any kind of room upgrade even though I requested it weeks ahead of time. We also still tipped and never got ugly or rude with any of the staff. The last two days of our vacation was spent mostly in our room praying for time to go by fast so we could go home. We ended our vacation starving and exhausted! 😭

Nice resort and very big has many things to do and see like activities for children and adults was great. The splash island was another great fun place to be especially for children. Beach was cleaned daily from seaweed. Rooms are clean but not enough storage or closet space for people with families. Food was ok could have been better. Fun Republic was the highlight for families and children my kids loved it. Overall it was nice and our concierge Any was helpful taking care of our needs or any questions we may have especially when we arrived the first day we only had 3 beds for a family of 5, so Any had rectify it and change our room more suitable for us.
I would recommend Meliá Caribe.

Exelente todo. Lo malo que de vez en cuando los carritos se tardan un poco. Pero de quien si me quiero quedar es de un supervisor llamado Ariel quien trata mal a sus empleados, deberían de llamarle la atención, les habla mal a los camareros, lo peor es que li hace delante de los huéspedes, si quiere regañarlos o llamarles lo atención, que lo haga en privado, solo les hace pasar verguenza.

I loved everything about my stay at The Melia which was all great experiences & new memories . The only issue I had was during the checking out where I noticed an extra charge on my room for a Spa service I never received . The staff made it very inconvenient for me because of a small miscommunication which was a result of me missing my 11:00 AM flight .

The pool is in need of significant repairs and maintenance. The pool water was so low and the paint was coming off. My room had a terrible odor, and both the air conditioning and hot water were not working properly. Housekeeping was also disappointing; the room was only cleaned to a mediocre standard. They where supposed to being 2 bottles of wine to my room i reported 2 time and nothing was done. I am usually generous with tips, but during this stay I did not feel the service warranted it.
The service at several of the restaurants was poor, and it seemed that guests were treated differently depending on the bracelet they were wearing. The only staff members who consistently treated us well were at the casino, which may have been because they saw that we were spending a considerable amount of money there. Elsewhere, the service was generally disappointing.
This was my second stay at the hotel. During my first visit, I stayed in the adults-only section and received excellent service, which is why I chose to return. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different and fell far below the standard I expected. Overall, I was very disappointed with this stay.
This version keeps the same concerns but presents them in a clear, professional way for a hotel review or complaint.

It was a rocky start the first day. Communication was not the best.
Although the staff was friendly and helpful, communication in English was sometimes difficult.
We were not given any instructions on how to and where to make dinner reservations. There were no instructions in how to use the safe in the room.

On the positive side, the property was well maintained. It was easy to find lounge chairs at any time of the day. Restaurant food was very good.

The bus to get around the property came by often.

Enjoyed our stay with the family. Any Liriano was very helpful to accommodate us. She asked daily if there was anything we needed. The resort is big has many things to do daily. Beach is nice but has too much seaweed I guess it depends what month you are coming if you get more seaweed or less seaweed, but they try to maintain the beach in the sand by cleaning the seaweed daily.

This resort was great beyond expectation. The staff and the people there made our stay very special specially being with a toddler and a 11 month old baby, every day went smoothly and we all had a great time. The environment is family friend which we love.The kids splash swimming pool was great for the kids, its very safe and it was separate from the main pool so it was with kids mainly. The food was amazing - all the servers were always very welcoming and attentive. The only one negative thing was that the phone in the room didn't work the whole time even though I reported it. So we couldn't call for room service or questions, however I was able to communicate with the front desk via WhatsApp and it was helpful.
We definitely recommend this resort and we will comeback again! Thank you Meliā team for such a great experience!!

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel and would 10/10 recommend and stay again. I have visited Melia hotels before but this one is top tier. Every single staff was helpful, kind, and ready to answer questions. All of the amenities were great, the restaurants were delicious, and every night they had activities in the front. I paid for the LEVEL vip suite and it offers way more perks and everything at the hotel.

If you are looking for a great family friendly place to get to enjoy the carribean weather this location is the best for it.

Staff was wonderful and polite, room was very accommodating especially since we have a 10 month old.

The beach and pool were both close together which helps if you are deciding whether you want the pool or the beach.

In addition, the main lobby and buffets represents the different cultures. For example, one night would be Dominican then another would be Asian.

There are also things for adults if you wanted a private night without the children.

All around I would definitely come here again with my family.
