When traveling to the dominican, and using the Punta Cana Airport, usually spend the first and last night of the stay at Reserva.
Price point is excellent, hotel is very clean, staff are very friendly, and there are four large pools to use. Restaurant, Pizzeria, and Cafe located on site
For the most part, everything is exceptional. The two points that would lose marks, are that the hotel does not accept American Express, and if you stay in the F units, they back on to the main road which can be very noisy.

It was a pleasure staying at your property. The front desk staff was exceptional.

Wander was amazing at check-in and very helpful with directions and information regarding the property and access to the room door.

Hacell was superb, always providing outstanding service with a warm smile. He assisted me with my bags and suggested local food options.

Willy & Carlos were very helpful assisting me with my bags upon my second visit same day I checked-out. I missed my ride back and return for one more night.

Housekeeping does a great job, keeping all areas of the property fresh and clean.

So glad I booked my stay with breakfast included. Great options and delicious food and service. The restaurant has a very mediterranean feel in my beautiful island!

The property was very safe and more so, with the four locks the door has- I've never seen a door so secured in my life!

I felt at home and very comfortable at this property so much, that I will stay here every time by travel needs permit.

The rooms were spacious and I liked that there were two separate rooms and bathroom. However the first room we were given on the A tower had roaches. We had to have our room changed to another Tower after we saw adult and baby roaches crawling about. We were moved to the B tower nad did not encounter any roaches.

I received great service. Entire staff was beyond helpful even with the language barrier at times. From the front desk to the house keepers. Very polite and well mannered. I would recommend staying here again and again. Safe, friendly, clean. I even accidentally left my door wide open one day and was gone the entire day. Nothing was disturbed. Walking distance to stores. Excursions pick you up right in front of the building. It gets no better.

We (myself and my 3 year old) had a good stay. Location was ideal, with everything we needed within walking distance, or a short (and affordable) ride away. In the immediate plaza: several restaurants, pizza shop, cafe, mini market, ATM (all walkable). Not in the same plaza, but also walkable: a full grocery store. The hotel is directly across the street from the main gate of the Lopesan Resort - we booked a Monkeyland activity through Viator, and were able to arrange for pickup there. Not the safest to walk to the beach/Cielo Beach Club, but possible, or it’s a very short ride away. Ubers were always available quickly and affordably in the area for us. If heading to beach club, take your own towels - when we visited Cielo, they were always either out of towels or had already ended towel service for the day. Room was as advertised, but could have been a bit cleaner. Having a kitchenette & washer/dryer was very convenient (there is one appliance that both washes and dries). Minor gripes - our safe didn’t work, nor did the button on our phone to call to the front desk. Hot water was limited, we had to shower quickly to not run out of hot/warm water. Sofa bed in 1BR was a VERY small fold-out futon (we had to request extra bedding for it). Fine for us as it was for a 3 yr old, not ideal for an adult. Pools could have been cleaner. Rooms facing Av. Alemania are noisy at night. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and the entire staff was amazing. Absolutely recommend for families.

The hotel and rooms are great and reasonably priced.
The check-in process however was horrible. The front desk walked us to our room and when he went to open it there was male guest staying there. Apparently staff was supposed to move him to another room but he was unaware. They went back & forth for 5m until the staff finally found us another room 30m later. While they ended up upgrading us to a nice suite the entire process was frustrating especially at night when we just wanted to sleep.

I would have to say that the property was super clean. That’s what tan Beautiful bathrooms and showers were excellent. I have no complaints. I would recommend anybody to stay here. The design and amount of pools is the premises is impressive. My wife and I had a great time.

It’s a beautiful place but there were quite a few things that made my stay an unpleasant one:
No TV in the sitting area. When there is a TV, the remote is missing.
No hot water one morning, when reported to front desk, clerk Hacell asked me if I knew how to use the faucet. I put him in his place.
Room is switched. At 11 PM fire alarm went off ( no one’s fault ) and I was offered another room after making it clear that I would not spend the night in there.
At midnight went to my 3rd room, no TV in the sitting area. Comfortable bed, slept well. Getting ready for a nice shower before flying back to FL. BOOM, no hot water again. Took a cold shower, checked out and had a safe flight home. My issue is, instead of addressing the problem at hand, you are given a handful of excuses. Still, Staff is courteous, except for that smarty one; the rooms are spacious and beautiful, some with a nice balcony, beautiful pools, secure parking lot, nice location, a couple of miles to downtown, they just have to take care of the little things.

Overall enjoyed my stay and seemed like a good deal for the fairly affordable price. Unfortunately upon checking out I was asked by to wait until a walkthrough was completed of my room. I was forced to wait nearly half an hour while a Staff inspected every corner of the room. After the lengthy inspection was completed I was told I’d need to pay an extra fee for a few coffee drops that spilled on a sheet. The extra fee and inspection seems slightly unnecessary and another way to justify charging you more for your stay. If you stay at this hotel I’d be extremely mindful that any small item out of place or used could request in additional charges.

I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel. It looked exactly as it does in the picture and I paid for breakfast which I also enjoyed.

Also wanted to add that there was a man named Luis at guest service! He was exceptional, he ensured we were entertained before the receptionist came to give us our keys, he helped with the boxes and also recommended tours for us as well.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone. Clean rooms!!! Great staff!!! 10/10 experience.

The front desk staff is top notch, particularly Jose and Hacell. They were patient with our large group check in, helpful when I had questions and responded quickly when I had an recurring AC issue. I saw Hacell handle a particularly difficult customer and calmly diffuse the situation. The accommodations are beautiful and well appointed, but the property should more accurately be described as a condo or apartment property rather than hotel. The hotel info regarding shuttle service is misleading. It indicates the service is available, but really should just say that the front desk can call a shuttle (in other words taxi or van) for you. The beach and usable beachfront property should be in walking distance, but the direct route in front of the property is a narrow and dangerous two-way road with no sidewalk, unlit at night and runs right through several construction projects.

Customer service was severely lacking as English was very limited. The smoke detector was beeping every 30 seconds in our room and their solution? Turn off the breaker so we have no smoke detector at all. Did you want blinds on the windows? Nope. We hung a towel over the window. Worst of all they double charged me by not releasing the hold on my credit card and after 3 months won't issue a refund. It's fraud and criminal and intentional. After 10 reminders to make it right they won't, even after admitting their mistake. Mistakes happen but refusing to fix the mistake is intentional. Traveler beware!

But everything good has its down.

I would stay here again!

The bad things:
- no hot water
- WiFi only in living room
- Netflix and YouTube only
- breakfast offered at unreasonable high price
- hundred dollar deposit

Good things:
- comfy beds
- kitchen, living room, bedrooms
- conveniently placed
- pools
- AC works

I ended up switching hotel from a very crappy one. If you’re looking at staying at Melina Hotel go ahead and cancel and stay here. They got roaches, they scam, and the rooms are 1/5 of the size, and I am not exaggerating.

The beach is close. There’s shops close. Plenty of restaurants close. Walkable places to eat and grab a quick snack.

No water in the kitchen. No plates. The room phone did not work. They run out of towels. Only one key for two guests. And when we informed all this nothing happened. Very sad. And most importantly when I paid they offered a shuttle to the beech. They do not run it any more so you have to pay for Uber each time. I will never come back. I will not recommend it to anybody

I have mixed feeling about this property. I stayed in two different rooms. The first one was a 2-bed room apartment. This one had a living room and a kitchen. Everything was nice except we had no hot water. The second one was a a 1-bedroom apartment, which also had a living room and a small kitchen. We had hot water, but we had to make two requests for our towel and was told this room did not provide a blanket.
The property is in a location where everything was in the neighborhood. A Coffee shop, a good restaurant, a grocery store, a pharmacy, even a hair/nail salon!

The apartment was spacious, clean and had the basics (towels, shower gel/shampoo). The washing machine was nice. Would have been better if there was a tiny amount of dish soap to wash the dishes, and a kettle or non-useless coffee maker.

I was annoyed because I booked based on the photo of a balcony with some chairs looking across a courtyard, but I got no private outside space, and a view of the very loud and busy road.

The dude who followed us up to the room and then pretended to check fuses and lights and hang around waiting for a tip didn't impress.

Positives: The rooms are very nice, clean, spacious, modern, and well-furnished. The property is attractive and convenient (though on a busy main road and intersection so somewhat noisy).
Negatives: We sat and waited a LONG time (35-40 mins) even though we arrived after 3pm check in time.The desk staff was nice but no sense of urgency and cleaning staff even more so. And lobby was not busy, so they were not overwhelmed. No one helped us. We are a retired couple and my husband walks with a walker and was clearly not well. We had multiple suitcases and struggling. We handled it alone with a lobby full of staff watching us. Plus gave us room long walk and far away from elevator. No awareness.
TV volume would only go to a whisper level. We had to read the movie because could not hear it. And no international news channels.
Since property and rooms are nice, I would recommend for a longer stay where you have a car. But understand it is more of an apartment and you are mostly on your own,

From the listing, it was unclear whether there would be two beds or two full bedrooms; it turned out to be the latter, and the apartment was huge. It was a high-quality place in a great location. The gym could use some work—there were issues with the A/C, lights, and treadmills—but it appears these will be addressed in the coming weeks. It could also provide paper towels with cleaner so users can clean up after themselves.

Significantly larger than any of the other hotels around, it’s basically a mini 1 bedroom apt, cute little balcony and 5 pools. The staff onsite are great as well, very nice and helpful. There is everything you need downstairs but if you’re willing to walk a bit there is a larger grocery store to your right about 5 minutes walk. Overall 5 stars.

The property is good. Spacious and good amount of sunbeds.

The issue with the property is cleanliness.

My room had:
1) Blood stains on the curtains
2) Toilet had not been cleaned properly. There were yellow stains on the toilet bowl.
3) Blanket had stains.
4) Sofa was heavily stained.
5) Dirty tissues and dirt in the kitchen drawers.
6) Used water bottle and ice cubes in the freezer.

I extended my stay by 2 days and booked a smaller room (1 bed instead of 2) and it was better. But I noticed there is a lack of consistency between the rooms.

Original room had shaving set, body lotion and shower cap. Next room had body lotion and 2 shower caps.

Original room did not have anywhere to hang wet clothes, 2nd room did.

There were 2 towels provided for both rentals. But that doesn't make sense as the original fits 4 people and the 2nd only 2.

From the lobby and pool areas to the rooms, this entire hotel is amazing. Well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very nice, each room with its own dedicated AC — a huge plus when everyone sleeps at different temperatures. Modern Samsung appliances and fully stocked kitchenware made the stay even more convenient.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The private parking lot was great — a security gate and parking just steps from your door.

The only downsides: the shower temperature never got warmer than room temp, and the washer/dryer combo took 7.5 hours for a single load, which is wild.

Other than that, the stay was absolutely amazing. The location is close to major activities, restaurants, and stores. Highly recommend if you’re not trying to spend resort money or roll the dice on a sketchy hotel.
