This place was a dream. From the activities you can do throughout the day that are included(my bf and i did yoga on the beach, and a bike ride) to the pool, beach, and food this place was amazing. The ground keepers do an amazing job at making this place clean and beautiful. They have a swim up bar, and a bar for when you sit on the beach. The food was mostly great, the only thing we didnt like was the lunch buffet options. But breakfast and dinner buffet was great, and the restaurants for dinner were amazing. It was so hard to leave.

We had the most amazing time! I highly recommend morning yoga, aqua gym (water aerobics) and all the activities you can go to. The activity staff is fantastic! Resort is beautiful. It’s big so you will get your steps in each day, the do have trolly cars to shuttle you but we never used them. Highly recommend this resort for your wellbeing.

This is our second time at Melia Punta Cana Beach, and we will absolutely be back again. Our trip was just as enjoyable the second time around, and they have added thoughtful improvements like a concierge available via Whatsapp for any questions or needs that arise. He checked in with us every day to ask if we needed anything, and was always offering to help with dinner reservations.

The property was clean and well maintained throughout our stay, and the staff were friendly at every turn. There are several restaurants available for dinner that need reservations, but are included in your rate. Although we liked the Vietnamese offering best (Muoy) we often ate at the buffett because it was easy and the food was consistently good. We also enjoyed our time at the Mediterranean restaurant, Mar de Sal, mostly because Isidro and Daniel were amazing in their service. The breakfast and lunch buffets always impressed us as well - try the fresh passionfruit with chocolate ice cream, trust us!

Although the small pool next to the breakfast buffet was a favorite for it's serenity, we often got seats by the larger pool because of its proximity to the swim up bar and bathrooms. The bartenders were all great, but William and Edwin stood out.a

We had a wonderful time at the Melia. We've been there 4 times and have never been disappointed. The pool, the staff and the amenities are always great. The language barrier can sometimes be a little tricky, but it's their country and their language is Spanish. Brush up a little bit before you go, it will make communication much easier.

Nice rooms, by booking bia expedia, they moved the three couples to the premium area. Not the level up, but still closer to where brewkfast buffet and pools/beach are. Beach is nice. Decent amount of palapas for some shade

Downsides - towel game, people book multiple areas of chairs, bartenders struggle with consistency of drinks (could be a language barrier thing), concierge not the greatest for arranging dinners as they do use reservation system

Food was good, especially at all the ala cart restaurants, service was slow sometimes but the staff were great. The grounds were also beautiful and well maintained especially the lobby area. Beach is really nice, lots of chairs , hammocks palapas etc. pool is massive. Our Expedia conceriege Ruth was lovely as well helped out wherever she could. Spa was also lovely.
A few cons- the rooms are dated, humid, and smell a bit. We moved rooms due to cleanliness after the first night. Sometimes it seems the staff at some of the bars are rude or tell you no they don't have stuff until you give them bigger tips. We stayed down by beach but can be a long walk to front lobby , golf carts come to stops every 10-15mins depending on time of day.

NOTE: CONDENSED VERSION OF THE SITUATION.

Lack of communication with maintenance. No hot water and AC not working properly for 3 days. Not informed when they would arrive or status of repair afterwards.
A security breach occurred on Feb 8th, our fourth night. Strangers entered our suite at 11:30 p.m. while asleep. Fortunately no altercation. Very traumatizing for 2 seniors aged 78 & 79 and one with a heart condition. Night disrupted. Had to attend office 12:30 a.m. (Feb 9th) to reprogram digital room key. No sleep that night. Very dangerous situation over the resort’s negligence.

Room door has an electronic dead bolt system allowing entry with key. No separate interior security door lock.
Retuned to office 7:30 a.m. (Feb 9th) to file an incident report. Guest services manager will be contacting us on arrival at 9 a.m. No contact. Returned next morning to office for more information. Meeting arranged the next day! NOTE: A few days later we discovered that registration assigned guests to our room in error.

Inconvenient meetings with the manager over the next 3 days disrupting our vacation.
A courtesy gesture was offered under a release signature by email at 6:56 p.m., 11 February. Check out was in the morning on 12Feb. Two offers were redundant. The other one was a “last minute” added offer for a refund for 2 nights.
Responded to email on the 17th. No reply received as at the 20th.
Matter is still not reconciled.

Beautiful resort with a clean, calming atmosphere and no bug issues. Rooms were spacious but had very basic (non-smart) TVs.

Golf cart drivers were excellent and very helpful.

Check-in was inefficient — despite completing online check-in, we waited over 30 minutes and experienced a language barrier.

The resort has different “levels” that were never explained, and we were asked to move from the pool area with no signage indicating restrictions, which felt unprofessional and embarrassing.

Good variety of restaurants and activities, but reservations were very difficult to secure. Drinks were typical low-quality all-inclusive options, and the main lobby bar was severely understaffed with long waits.

The pool was dirty and chairs were impossible to get due to early towel “reservations.” The beach was nice, and the hammocks were great.

Service overall was extremely disappointing for a 5-star resort — most staff seemed bothered by requests. The only consistently pleasant staff were the cart drivers.

Although it wasn’t so great at the beginning of my trip and i was aiming to give a 1 star but One of the staff supervisor LUZ MATEO was able to change my mind. Upon my arrival to the hotel i was taken to the level lobby where the staff there was a bit disorganized and had to wait 30 minutes before anyone there knew i was waiting to check in. Next day when going to the general buffet for breakfast i arrived almost at closing time but was able to grab my breakfast and sat down, Only thing i needed was a spoon and a glass of water and after seeing that no one was coming there assist me i approached this lady named ALEJANDRA GIL who said to me (its already closing time and your not even supposed to be sitting here) LIKE WHERE IS YOUR HOSPITALITY THATS NO WAY TO TREAT A GUESS. I had to grab my spoon from an other table and later someone that heard all the commotion brought me the cup of water. LUCKILY later that day i met LUZ MATEO who took the time to hear all of my complaints and made me go from this supposed 5 star hotel a 1 to a 4. Luz mateo went above and beyond to change my starting perspective of this place, she started by helping me with all my bookings to the restaurants and spa to then helping me with my anniversary celebration FREE of cost and even the next day helping me with a late checkout. IN CONCLUSION if it wasn’t for this wonderful employee of theirs LUZ MATEO i would of rated this place a 1 star. PLEASE start hiring people like her who care about the guess.

The resort itself was pure magic. As a wellness, every corner of Meliá radiated peace .It was the kind of place where you could truly exhale and forget about the stress of everyday life. The food? Absolutely delicious we were stuffed and happy after every meal. And the drinks kept flowing, adding to the laid-back, joyful vibe. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, specially Mr. Juan Santos, always driving around in his scooter. Thanks for all your support. Our stay here was average. If you go, pay extra for the Level. Those guests seemed happier. Expedia perks don’t get you much.
Starting with the pros: the beach front area is beautiful with white sand and turquoise water. The spa was very nice with courteous staff and we got a good massage. When we asked to change rooms because the first was musty, they did help us find a room we liked.
Now the cons by area.
Room: basic like a Holiday Inn, mattress was sloped in the middle and uncomfortable. I woke up in pain each morning. The first room smelled so musty like I was in an old basement. Shower amenities were watered down so plan to bring your own. The tv didn’t work and was never fixed though we asked twice. I asked for extra pillows to try and counter the mattress and only received two extra. After hours of waiting and messaging the staff. And we were supposed to have our own concierge and still had little luck.
Grounds: the pool was very cold and dirty. There isn’t a hot tub outside if the spa which you have to be getting a service to use. There is a long path from the lobby to beach/pool area and it smelled like sewage for about 5 min of the 15 minute walk.
Food: mediocre buffet. Had to wait awhile to get water and coffee. Reservation restaurants were good but not great. Top shelf liquor is not included. Much of the “hot” food was cold.
Staff: most do not speak more than a little English. Many are not friendly and act as if it’s an inconvenience to help you.

Staff was very nice, resort was very nice. Buffet was great but restaurant food was not good. Our room would leak smelly air that we tried to get fixed but they did nothing about it. There is no store to but things like toothpaste on the resort, but I was told it was offsite and I could be brought there. I had to walk back from said store and the bellboy who brought me there made me feel unsafe (flirting, asking if he could stay with me, etc). The excursions booked through Otium, which were recommended by the resort (they had a hut promoting excurisons on the resort) were horrible. It was fake advertising and ended up in buses for most of the day for which we paid hundred for. All in all, it was nice weather and nice to get away but I would never come back here again. I have tried reaching out via email with these concerns but I have heard nothing.

Rarely had hot water in my room. Dead bugs on the floor in the bathroom that were never picked up by housekeeping. Was supposed to have a concierge assigned at check in - 24 hours later I had to let them know that my concierge never reached out to me. Another guest at the pool broke a glass, staff was alerted but they did a crapy job of cleaning up (didnt move the chairs...) and i stepped on the glass and cut myself. The food overall was disappointing (including the restraunts). The AC in my room would not go below 78deg so sleeping was difficult and hot. They told me they could supply me with a wine opener for my room (told me to take my wine to one of the bars and ask them to open it. Pretty sure the resort staff over charged my friend for her excursion- they xharged her $100 and told her ot had to be cash - expedia was selling tickets for the same excursion for $58. The pools closed at 7pm which was disappointing. The grounds were beautiful but i would never return. I did do the all inclusive package.

This Melia was one of the most beautiful resorts my wife and I have visited with tropically lush paths and beautiful plants and animals. We upgraded to the Level and we were happy to have done so giving us a nicer room and also access to a beautiful smaller breakfast area right by the pool each morning. Our room was spacious and well-kept all week. It is nearly a kilometer from the beach to the main evening buffet. However, they have transportation carts that go back and forth so you can catch a ride if you prefer. The buffet itself had a large selection of great food each evening. During the day, we stayed close to the beach and pool and enjoyed freshly cooked burgers and chicken. We tried the Mediterranean and the Vietnamese dinners and both were excellent. The staff were all very polite and professional. Especially Deiby at the Calathea bar and Adriana at the Level who always greeted us with a smile. Although there were many excursions options one just for snorkeling without all the added drinking would be a bonus. We spent every evening on the third floor outside in the Level building by the beach. Each night they would have live entertainment. Our favorite was the young female solo violinist. She was amazing. This was one of our favorite resorts to date. We will definitely return.

Trouver un bon hôtel à Punta Cana s'est avéré difficile, mais le Meliá Punta Cana Beach a été une véritable perle ! Sans aucun doute, c'est l'un des meilleurs hôtels en termes de rapport qualité-prix. Tout y est pensé pour la détente. Le personnel est charmant, et un grand merci à Jean Claude Santos, le directeur, qui a été fantastique : toujours disponible, attentif et à l'écoute de toutes nos demandes. Les restaurants sont excellents, le buffet est parfaitement équilibré – ni trop copieux, ni trop léger – avec des options saines et délicieuses. Les bars sont superbes, et les restaurants à la carte sont encore meilleurs que le buffet. La plage est magnifique, et que dire de la piscine… un pur bonheur ! Franchement, un 10/10. Je le recommande sans hésiter !

Nous avons séjourné à la section LeveL du Melia Punta Cana Beach. Ce qui nous a grandement plu à cet hôtel ce sont les gens qui y travaillent. Tous s’affairent à rendre notre séjour mémorable. Je nomme en particulier Juan Carlos Santos, qui coordonnait nos réservations, nous aiguillait sur les facilités du site et les activités disponibles en plus de régler certains soucis, notamment un problème d’eau dans notre chambre et des difficultés d’obtenir de petites coupures en dollars US pour les pourboires. Il a contribué également à rendre la journée de mon anniversaire mémorable. Je nomme également différentes personnes qui ont marquées notre séjour : au restaurant Quimera, Albania Casimir, la radieuse hôtesse qui nous accueil et fait des blagues avec nous, ainsi que les serveurs et serveuses Maria, Irving, Miguel. Au restaurant vietnamien Muoi, tous les serveurs qui ont contribué à faire du souper de mon anniversaire un moment magnifique (photo en appui). Au bar du lobby, les serveurs Tony et Rodolfo animent le lieu tout en nous concoctant des drinks de toutes sortes. À la plage, Félix Pichardo a fait un service hors pair. Lui et d’autres serveurs dont j’oubli leurs noms passaient très souvent à nos chaises pour nous offrir et servir nos breuvages. Le « pink panther » est devenu notre favori. My stay at the resort was one the best experiences I’ve had traveling to the Caribbean!!! The resort is beautiful and the customer service is impeccable. My concierge, Rebecca, was the absolute best!!! She checked in with us daily and wished us well throughout the stay and when traveling home. Three of the employees, Brianna, Maria, and Jeffrey were also great!!! They kept us entertained the entire trip and their aquagym sessions were intense and fulfilling! We will definitely be heading back to this resort again in the near future! :)

Experience was incredible!. The food and activities were amazing and the best part about it was that we didn’t have to worry about anything. the big boss Juan C. Santos was on point excatly when we need for recovery our stay! Will definitely come back just because of him!we also loved the spa one of the best experiences I’ve had, with amazing treatments that left me feeling refreshed.

We had a great time at Melia Punta Cana Adults only resort. The staff were very helpful and kind and our concierge Kilvania was amazing. The food was great - special call out to the chocolate bomb cake at Mar del Sal!

The only constructive comment i would say is they should try to keep their rooms in better repair. In our room the toilet made a dripping sound constantly, the shower door seal was broken and the drawers in the room did not shut properly. They take such great care of their property outside they should turn their attention toward the rooms where guests stay.

We would go back again. Please note we were not Level but because we booked with Expedia we had VIP access for check in and a concierge.

All in all a great vacation. I recommend this resort to all.

Meliá has given us a very calm and soothing experience with exceptional service from all staff all around from the bartenders to the house cleaning. Everything was amazing. Our only bad thing was that we stayed such little time. I would definitely come back.
