The staff were awesome, our concierge Kelvin was very accommodating for our group of 6, rooms were well appointed and spotless, bars were well stocked and mixologist were spot on! Restaurants and buffets offer great options had great eats for all. The beach bar on the adult side was fantastic, Gilberto and Rafael run a great bar for all your drink requirements and very friendly! Pedro will find your spot on the beach any time of day. All in very good experience.

Service was excellent. Resort is beautiful. Food is cold and not very good. Getting a reservation for dinner is a bad game. They say unavailable when you try to make reservations but the restaurants are always half empty. We figured out that you can just walk in and ask for a table without the stress of being told no when trying to make reservations. Also, they would not change pesos or dollars for small denominations making it hard to tip.

First time at this resort. We stayed in the \"Reserve\" adults only area. We were impressed with the attentiveness of our personal concierge, Yaleidi. She was very helpful with all of our needs and went above and beyond our expectations!
The resort was very clean and felt safe. The food was very good, especially for an \"all-inclusive\". The restaurants were good, but the Lunch Box buffet was outstanding! We were so surprised at the variety and quality of the food in a buffet!! We also golfed at their affiliated course and had a nice experience there too.
Overall, excellent stay and accommodations!
Our only negative was the weather, it was unseasonably cloudy and rained on/off most of the week we were visiting. It was still warm and a great break from the winter weather in Minnesota!! Obviously, this has no bearing on the resort. We highly recommend staying here and will be returning!

First things first! My Concierge, Adriel Cabrera, is a top notch guy. Helpful in literally every aspect. The resort is immaculate. My wife and I walked the beach which goes in front of several other properties. Paradisus by far had the best kept stretch, and the largest seating area. Our beachfront room on the reserve side was beautiful and our son’s room over the main pool was freshly updated and beautiful. Plenty of room to spread out on the large campus. Nightly entertainment and good food everywhere.

We had a wonderful time at Paradisus Hotel. Upon arrival we were welcomed by our concierge, Alam who was excellent. He took great care of us, helping to reserve restaurants and checking in to ensure our stay was pleasant. At the end of our stay Alam made sure our bags were picked up from our room and he was waiting at the lobby to bid us farewell which was a nice touch. The resort itself is beautiful with plenty of pools and beach front. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. We stayed in the Reserve area which offered some extra perks. We also got a couples massage which was wonderful. There was nightly entertainment which was excellent (much better than many other resorts we have stayed at) There were lots of food options from buffets to à la carte, snack and coffee bars and lots of ice cream - the food was decent.

Some constructive feedback- the service at the buffet and restaurants was not great - simple things like filling our water or bringing us coffee seemed like an ongoing challenge but Eventually we did get what we had asked for.
Also on the first few days, it was challenging to get any beach towels. This was due primarily to some guests taking 3-4 towels each which seems rather excessive. While I don’t blame the hotel for guest behaviour, I do think they could implement a better system to avoid this.
Overall our stay was great and we would consider staying at this resort again in the future.

Their sre so many bars on the facility you dont know what to do. If you have an issue its immediately addressed although I didn't have any. So many people are there more than one time. Disappointing Experience — Reserve Upgrade Not Worth It
Where do I even begin. I am genuinely confused as to how this resort has received such glowing reviews, with “lackluster” being the most consistent theme throughout my stay.
Despite my room being ready, I waited nearly an hour in the Reserve lobby while the front desk agent assisted multiple other guests. The check in experience set the tone for what was to come.
The Kanna / private members-only area is visually appealing, but unfortunately it highlights how underwhelming the rest of the property is by comparison. I paid $575 to upgrade to The Reserve, and upon arrival, seriously considered leaving altogether.
My first experience with a Reserve-only restaurant was shockingly bad. The host appeared visibly annoyed by my presence, and after being seated, no one approached me for an extended period of time. The food was genuinely inedible. I initially tried the buffet, couldn’t stomach anything, and then ordered from the menu hoping for improvement. It wasn’t. The salad was soggy and unappetizing, and the gazpacho was equally unpleasant.
The two Reserve-only pools were extremely secluded and had no bar service, which made the upgrade feel pointless. Ironically, the large adults-only pool with a swim-up bar was accessible without any Reserve upgrade and was far superior.
After exploring the property, I immediately returned to the Reserve lobby to ask about a refund and potentially changing resorts. While the hotel did agree

We had a great time, but it wasn’t without some issues.

We were there for a girl’s trip and had requested a room with two beds. We were given one king bed and they said they didn’t have a room with two beds to accommodate us although it didn’t seem like the resort was at full capacity. The front desk said they would send an extra bed which they did not. After we gave up on that, it took four phone calls and a walk to the front desk to get bedding for the pull out sofa. Also, the app never worked for us with our reservation information. Lastly, as an Expedia booking, we were supposed to get a bottle of wine and welcome amenities which we didn’t receive. The service is very hit or miss here. The entertainment is also minimal and we had no idea what the schedule was since the app didn’t work. There was also no waiter service around the pool or beach.

As for the great stuff, the resort and the beach are well kept and clean. The beach and the chair selection was great. The food at the buffet was very good as were the Mexican and Steakhouse restaurants. We didn’t have an issue with reservations, but the day we arrived they were full. After that, as long as you book a day in advance there were options.

Overall, the food and beach are great and if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere and are good on your own to figure everything out, this place is great. If you are looking for great service, this may not be the place for you.

This is a beautiful resort! The staff is very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the pools and sun decks were plentiful. Overall, a great vacation. My only suggestion is to update the cardio equipment in the fitness room. The treadmills are very old and stop frequently. The spin bikes are also well worn and do not have much resistance. Otherwise, a fabulous trip!

I booked this trip with my daughter for a quick getaway and booked a junior swim up suite for 4 nights through Expedia. Words cannot describe how frustrated I am with our experience. We took the first flight out of our hometown airport hoping to spend the entire first afternoon in the sun. That did not happen because our room was supposed to be ready no later than 3pm the day of check in. We got the run around after I refused to take two twin beds that we were being offered by the front desk so I feel like I was “black listed” by the front desk team as a result. It took hours to get our room despite having a butler (whom was not able to effectively execute on any request I had for her). It wasn’t until a concierge manager noticed us waiting in the lobby and commented how long we were waiting did we get our room. He took matters into his own hands and personally walked us to our room and I was so grateful. He apologized for the room check in issues but I got no real explanation as to what happened. As an Expedia member I was told early check in would be an option- again didn’t happen for us.

My room wasn’t cleaned for two days and I was told it was as because I didn’t ask for it to be cleaned by pushing the button near the front door. Had my check in experience been handled properly I would have known this button needed to be switched on.

The front desk team continued to be an issue during my entire trip.

Food was B / B-. Dinner Restaurant booking was ridiculous using 2 kiosks - and not off an app. We went to town and enjoyed. Summary - Xmas gala dinner was not good. Japanese was not good. Italian was ok. Mexican was < ok.

We asked for the hair dryer first day. It never showed - and we requested everyday for 5 days. Each time they said 5 minutes. Hm. You should all pack one !

But our kids enjoyed - the beach the pool and activities.

Overall, we had a good stay but there are areas that could’ve been improved. Our biggest complaint was the closing time for the pools (7pm). Due to jet lag, we often woke up later in the day which left us with less time to swim. The early closing time for the pools added pressure and made it hard to fully relax. Letting people swim until at least 10-11pm would’ve greatly improved our experience. Secondly, the quality of the food and drink was extremely average and could’ve been improved.

The site and the rooms are nice, the pools and the beach are beautiful and well maintained, but this is not your place if you like to be active. We have never been to a hotel listing tennis as a facility, but asking ( and getting) $30 an hour to play! Forget the bikes because those can be found at the sister resort, not at the Paradisus. The activities are very limited, and often limited in number too ( I showed up to a painting activity which was limiting the participants at 10!!). The food is very average, except Flora which was excellent. Oh! And you might consider being a member to have access to the Mediterranean restaurant otherwise it will cost you $30 per person. Also, if you want to be protected from the sun by umbrellas, you will not be able to lay on the chairs and watch the ocean unless you are a Melia member. A good third of the beach is reserved for them ( despite the fact that there was hardly anybody there), and the rest of the beach has a series of cabanas ( $$) facing the ocean. You will be behind those. Shows at night were very lame. Sorry to be so negative, but this is definitely not a 5 star resort in my book, and I will NOT go back

The service was consistently excellent, the property felt peaceful with lush greenery throughout, and upgrading to The Reserve was completely worth it. Our butler, Yaleidi, was outstanding. She checked in daily, handled dinner reservations seamlessly, and was easily a 10 out of 10 compared to other butler experiences I’ve had. The gym was well equipped, the pool and beach were never crowded, and the nightly entertainment added a nice touch. Overall, an exceptional experience and a resort I would absolutely return to.

This trip far exceeded my expectations! Wife and I had the best time here! Staff was super friendly, drinks were great! Food is give a hard 7. They had great places like flora, Mina and the hibachi. But the Mexican and the buffet was just not our thing. One big thing I noticed was not a lot of people tipping where we tipped and we felt we got a lil extra love as far as extra drinks in the minibar or faster service at any of the bars, restaurants. Overall we loved this resort and will return in the future!

The hotel is lovely and incredibly relaxing. We never had to play the beach towel game — there were always plenty of spots with umbrellas. The beach was cleaned every day and the water was amazing.

Our concierge (Sorally) from Expedia was excellent: very efficient, easy to talk to, and she took care of all our dinner reservations. We really enjoyed the food, especially the fresh sushi every day.

Overall, a wonderful stay. We would definitely return!

We have spent here 13 days and got to know this place on each front. The resort is gorgeous and well run! The staff is very friendly, professional and well polished. Special thanks to concierge Guillermo and Jendry Acosta. Great asset for
the place and made our time more pleasant. Beach and all pools are kept impeccably clean and have no faults. Rooms are all
modern, very neat so as the whole resort. However, the praising stops here! The FOOD is horrible and we had to go for dinners elsewhere three times. Have been going to Punta Cana for 22 years mostly twice a year, were in also much cheaper resorts and food was so much better. These cooks
have either no talents, small budget or even both. What a nerve from upper management to serve such a horrendously low quality food, bad recipes with no presentation and frozen mushy vegetable sides from previous
day. Mediterranean restaurant and Steak house meat- my dogs would not swallow! Mexican has no theme and serves just fast food, no meals. Buffet is the only place you can get by. The only one of the all restaurants I rate three out of ten was the lunch place by the ocean. They unfortunately have no idea here what the sea food is,
except one kind of dry salmon and occasional dried out shrimp.
Dining is the most important part of vacation and we hope you realize that! Please go to Lopesan next door and learn what to serve people and how. We were
there in May and have totally different experience. They only survive on comventions.

The property was exceptional—beautifully maintained with spotless rooms. The staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and welcoming. The swim-up bar was a highlight and made the experience even more special. Overall, it’s an amazing place to spend your vacation. The evening performances were truly the stars of the stay.

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but this resort was extremely disappointing. Don’t expect a warm or welcoming atmosphere. Dinner reservations were nearly impossible to get, and we ended up at the buffet most nights—which unfortunately had an unpleasant smell and very limited options.

Lunch spots didn’t require reservations, but the moment you walked in, it often felt like guests were not welcome. Many of the staff members were rude, unprofessional, and communication was very difficult because very few spoke English.

Although the resort advertises itself as family-friendly, the children’s food options were basically limited to chicken nuggets, French fries, and mac and cheese—no vegetables, berries, or healthier choices. The breakfast buffet offered food that was poorly prepared and often difficult to eat. I also noticed concerning hygiene practices; some cooks handled food without gloves and used their hands directly.

Relaxing on the beach was nearly impossible due to constant interruptions every few minutes from people selling souvenirs, tours, and other things. It was overwhelming and made it hard to enjoy the experience.

To make matters worse, several members of our group ended up with a stomach virus during the stay.

Overall, I would not recommend this resort. Avoid if you’re looking for a relaxing, family-friendly vacation with good service and food quality.

I've been to many similar all inclusive resorts, and while this one is not perfect, it really deserves a 5* rating compared to other similar properties. The resort is older, but it is beautiful and spotless. The service is top notch, and consistent across the board. It's not a high energy resort, but has enough entertainment options to create a good vibe. The beach area is beautiful and well maintained. Food is pretty decent, but not great. Some negatives, the multi tier system is really annoying where some guest feel like 2nd class citizens while already paying high $$$. Lot's of weddings and corporate conventions that completely ruin the vibe, especially the corporate functions where you have a large group of folks who just want to go wild on corporate dime. Beach vendors are a disaster!! You have someone in your face literally every 45 seconds. Bring a large \"No Solicitation\" sign with you! Expedia Platinum \"benefits\" are a big joke, but that's expected.

A beautiful resort. Room was spacious which helped with our baby, but service was a little disappointing. Side pool bar was never staffed. Concierge was slow to respond. Good food options but quality was 7/10. Best restaurant was the beachside one for lunch. Pool is large and fun. Beach access easy and nice beach with plenty of spots.

Our stay was very nice! Adriel - our concierge was excellent. He was attentive, helpful, and did everything he could to make sure our stay was perfect. There were several things broken in our hotel room on arrival and Adriel took care of all of them for us...and with a smile!
Raul at the beach was also great -- he reserved beach beds for us every morning and made sure we had great service.
All the staff members throughout the hotel including at the Lunchbox and Malva buffets were so sweet. Carlos from entertainment was also wonderful!

The service during our stay was consistently disappointing. Requests made to the concierge often went unanswered, and arranging dinner reservations was difficult, with outcomes that did not match what we had asked for.

The restaurant experience was similar. At one point, staff raised their voices toward our group. At the Hibachi restaurant, we felt rushed, as we were repeatedly asked if we were finished and encouraged to order dessert while we were still eating.

For a property advertised as a 5-star all-inclusive resort, the level of service did not meet expectations.

We truly loved our stay at the Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort.

A special thank-you to Mr. Antonio, who went above and beyond to help us with our reservations. We were having trouble with one of the booking kiosks when he noticed us and kindly offered assistance. We were a bit skeptical at first, but the next day he followed up proactively with updates on the reservations he secured for us. That level of care is exactly what defines exceptional hospitality.

We would also like to sincerely thank Mr. Juan, the Guest Experience Manager. He made our checkout process smooth, guided us through using the luggage room, and treated us with such warmth and professionalism. He was friendly, attentive, and even asked thoughtful questions that made the interaction feel personal. We’re truly grateful.

We can’t wait to return to this amazing resort. The experience was inspiring, refreshing, and unforgettable.

The room has nothing to do what they showed us in the pciture. I literally paid etra to get a nice loking room with a view but we were given a 2. floor very old room and obstructed view. The food was merel average and even the so called facny restraurants had very limited menu. Everything seems to be good for circle members. The stuff were mixed, some were very nice but other were not that helpful. Enligh is a big problem and communication is limited. The kids club was amazing. But again, the food was merely medicore and not a varity for seafood or vegeterian people.

I rarely write negative reviews, but our experience at Paradisus Palma Real was alarming. During our stay around Storm Melissa, my wife bit into a piece of glass inside a sushi roll. We caught it in time, but this is a severe food-safety breach with potentially life-threatening consequences.
We also observed flies on exposed items at the buffet on multiple visits—covered stations and active monitoring were clearly lacking.
Finally, during the intense rains from the storm, no porters assisted with transportation around the property. There was no facilitation to reach our room, leaving us to trek through heavy rain with small children—completely avoidable at a resort of this category.
Safety and basic service should come first. The hotel offered a one-night compensation conditional on signing a legal release of liability, which we declined—not the kind of paperwork anyone expects on a family vacation. I sincerely hope management immediately strengthens kitchen QA (including controls to prevent foreign objects and better pest management) and ensures proactive, weather-contingent guest transport during storms. Until then, I cannot recommend this property.
