My experience at the hotel was outstanding from beginning to end. From the front desk to the bar, the service, hospitality, and overall atmosphere were exceptional.

I would especially like to recognize Melvin at the front desk, as well as Petel, Johana, and Jean at the bar, for their friendliness, professionalism, and excellent customer service throughout our stay. The staff in the breakfast area also did a fantastic job and made each morning enjoyable.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and the pool area was gorgeous and very well maintained. I honestly have no complaints. My family and I had a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff had an issue with everything. There was a roach in the room. The bathroom shower doesn’t have a door to close. So the water got all over the floors. Just wasn’t the best experience.

Honestly, several things happened, but in my opinion the two biggest issues were that when we arrived, the room we were originally assigned (312) was extremely hot. The AC never worked, and even though we reported it right away, it took them more than two hours to assign us a new room.

On top of that, the shower had almost no water pressure. I used to love this hotel. I had stayed there about four times before, and I don’t know what happened, but this time it was a total disappointment.

the lobby was really nice the rooms was kinda worn down and there was no hand soap for us in the bathroom it only had one trash for the whole room and the shower water was freezing cold ! oh and people roam the floor at night messing with doors ! thank god i had a safety lock no one could get in .

Love the breakfast, they have every day something different and it was delicious. Room was ok, if you need ac you will love this place it was super cool. There was a pizzeria and mini market next to the hotel in case you want to have some presidentes.

On arrival checking in only took 5min.The hotel is very clean.The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable.I slept well.There was an extra blanket in the closet if the A/c was too cold.When we arrived the safe was locked and the television was not working.. within 5 min someone came and rectified the issues..We forgot our toothpaste and I spoke to Mellvin at the reception desk, asking where we could purchase some & he spoke to one of the custodians and she came back with 2 tubes of toothpaste and 2 toothbrushes for us.Breakfast was delicious plenty options,I enjoyed the porridge,passion fruit juice, mashed potatoes on some days.The menu changed up every day.The hotel provides a free service where they take you to Bavaro beach & we were allowed to use the beach chairs & washroom facilities.. You waiting the lobby @10am for the pickup and they come back for you @4pm.That morning my husband asked one of the ladies if we can take a few donuts from the breakfast to the beach and she gave him a container to help him self..My husband told the receptionist that my birthday was Sunday and after spending the day out.A bottle of champagne,a fruit bowl some chocolates and a birthday note from the management and staff was left in the room for me.There is a cold water dispenser near the breakfast area for use day and night..it appeared to be brand-new.The pool was very good.& There is a restaurant on the premises the food was good reasonabley priced and a short wait.

breakfast was nice, but there is a lady who's so unpleasant. will stare at you as if you are eating free food at her house. she ruins the entire day with her glum face. very dirty property. we expected better maintenance for a $200/night hotel. washroom was one of the worst i have ever seen. the room is dark, dismal and looks dirty. even after housekeeping it doesn't get clean. i felt really ripped off and will never visit again. won't recommend.

Mi estancia en el Hotel Whala fue buena, Rosa en recepcion fue muy amable en fin todos en recepcion fueron amable y utiles. El cuarto tipo estudio es bien espacioso, el agua caliente en todo momento y el aire super frio. La comida de cena en el area de la barra no me gusto mucho. La piña colada estuvo riquisima, el desayuno en el comedor bien variado, en fin le doy un 8 de 10, pq no habia nada cerca, habia q pedir uber para todo. Les recomiendo cojan excursiones

Avoid this hotel at all costs.Checked in on March 23rd and the air conditioning in our room was completely broken. In Punta Cana. The front desk offered zero solutions — no room change, no fix, nothing. We had to leave the same night without ever using the room.To make it worse, the hotel refused to issue any refund whatsoever. We paid in full for a service we never received and they kept every single dollar. Absolutely shameful. Book anywhere else.

We checked, the person at the front desk was pleasant at first. We went to the room, upon entering we smelled a dusty aroma - it was unbearable so we started spraying cologne to help. The AC was also not cold enough. The fan made a squeaky sound. There were also mosquitoes.

When we attempted to shower, the bathroom hole was clogged and flooded the bathroom. We took videos and brought it to front desk's attention. He immediately contacted a grounds person to fix it - the guy acted bothered, came in - fixed the clog and left the bathroom and room as is (water was still present as it flooded).

At this point, we were searching for another hotel to stay at. Simple courtesy would have been to mop the water up. We went outside to attempt to bring it to the person at the front desk's attention - he was busy with a group of clients checking in and seemed irritated to see us again. He told us to sit and wait - at that point, I was annoyed, we went to the room, packed our belongings, booked another hotel and asked to be checked out.

The front desk person seemed not to care, and seem oblivious to the issues we already faced. Little does the company know - we are travel directors. The Whala brand has now left a very bitter taste - a horrible first experience. I'm requesting a refund and for you to look into their Urban Punta Cana property - it is not up to standard.

This is a great place to stay if you dont want to spend a fortune at an all inclusive. Very nice pool/bar restaurant with great food. Shuttle to and from the beaches, and near a mini mart, pharmacy and other food spots. The only complaint i had was i didnt have hot water. Not sure if it was only my room. So if thats important to you beware. Other than that, great staff and hotel!

The room- doors and windows didnt latch properly. Had to use coat hangers to secure window and sliding door. Main door put a chair as dead bolt didnt work. Floor was very dirty. Bathroom cabinets doors broken. Fridge ran water on the floor. waited for maintenance to fix doors gave up afterr 2.5 hours and put the do not disturb sign up. Someone knocked loudly on door about 1/2 after that did not say who they were just asked if i spoke spanish. Not impressed.

Good day the reason we gave this hotel of three star is because the washroom was dirty. The door was hanging off one of the cabinets underneath the sink. The pillowcases were stained. The pillows were different sizes.
The showerhead was loose about to fall off the wall and for the price of renting this room is way too high. There are way nicer hotels in the area for less money. We were there a few years ago and we really enjoyed staying here and that’s why we came back, but after what we saw this time, we’re not coming back at all. The staff was good friendly and the breakfast was OK not too much to Select From. The selection was very poor. This hotel has a great location, not too far away from the airport but if you guys continue the way you are, you’re gonna lose business.
