I was extremely disappointed with my stay. For the price this hotel charges, the level of service and basic amenities was shockingly poor.
First of all, housekeeping never came to clean our room, even though we were gone the entire day. We returned expecting the room to at least be tidied up, trash emptied, or the bed straightened, but nothing had been touched. It felt like we were completely forgotten. The bathroom situation was just as frustrating. The shower head was positioned in such a way that the water shot directly at you the second you turned it on, making it impossible to adjust comfortably without getting blasted. On top of that, we never received additional towels during our stay, which is a pretty basic expectation at any hotel. The toiletries were also lacking. There was no conditioner provided, which is a very standard amenity almost everywhere these days. For a hotel charging such high prices, cutting corners on something that simple feels cheap and careless. But the most unbelievable part? There wasn’t even complimentary breakfast. Considering how expensive this place was, not offering even a basic breakfast option felt like the final insult. Most hotels, especially ones charging premium rates, include something for guests in the morning, but apparently not here. Overall, the experience felt overpriced, poorly managed, and lacking the most basic hospitality standards. I absolutely would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Elevator was broken all three days we were there, so line could back up to get in. Food at the diner was ok but not great, with very little to eat out in the area, we ended up door dashing mostly. Steakhouse was really good, but very expensive $98 ribeye with no sides included expensive, but nice for a date night. Beds were not comfortable and pillows even worse, but will say room was clean.

All of the above. I thought they should have let people know they were under construction. I am handicap & the walk & parking was completely unacceptable. Not to mention employees were worse. They were NOT knowledgeable about their place of employment. Had several request that were never answered. I paid high rates & certainly DID NOT get high rates treatment.
Definitely will NOT stay there again. I don’t care who comes there. I will rate this facility on FB 👎

The hotel advertised \"Luxury rooms\" apparently that doesn't apply to all the rooms. It was far from luxury. 2 adults stayed in the room and only 2 towels. No extras, no lotion, shower gel was empty, no make up remover, no microwave. This was an Accessible room, I will say it certainly was. Very spacious to move wheelchair about and roll in shower.

Worst travel experience I’ve ever had with this hotel. Booked through Expedia and paid in full. Upon arrival they claimed it wasn’t paid. I showed proof it was paid. Even got on the phone with Expedia who verified with them that it was paid. Still refused to put us in a room for almost 2 hours. At this point it was after midnight when eventually they let us into a room, probably because my 15 month old baby was with us in the lobby and I was in tears. So I basically paid for a check in day that I was not able to check in on. They refused a partial refund for that day. At about 2am the power to the entire hotel went out. Bright emergency lights came on in each room. When power was restored all the lights in the entire room turned on and alarms went off. Next day we had to call maintenance because tv remote wasn’t working. Still was required to pay $70 in resort fees for this absolute miserable experience. Never once cleaned our room with a 5 day 4 night booking. Had to flag down service to get new towels. Overall just a terrible terrible experience. Would not recommend staying here!

We had luke warm water in our room. The soaker tub was one highlight of our stay but the water would noy get hot. After waiting over an hour I attempted a shower thinking maybe the water heater simply needed time to warm up and still ended up with a lukewarm shower. Not a great way to start the day especially after paying a higher rate than we anticipated and ending up in a double queen instead of a king like we reserved.

The property is actually quite nice. What is supposed to be a smoke-free property is not. It smelled of cigarettes in more than a few places including my room. The choice of restaurants is down to two at night. The expensive steak house and the yuppy Mexican joint. We went to each one in two nights and the service and food was pretty good but I would have liked a few more choices.

You know you are in trouble when you enter the dirty front door. They charge exorbitant fees if you check in before 4:00 p.m. This place is old and dilapidated, and they have the nerve to charge a resort fee. It is located on the old, unsafe part of town, and it is very difficult to find any dining options. The good ratings are posted by people who are desperate to find a casino. They can't possibly be posted by anybody who has ever experienced the hotel.

The customer service at check in was horrible when we arrived to check in the first we went to was not even cleaned or ready so we went back down and they gave us another room when we got in that room it was not a king bed that i booked instead it was a queen dbl bed. I went back down and was told just because I booked a king room that per Harrahs policies it is not guranteed. I asked the rude manager where that policy was she stayed its there and basically I had to deal with that room. I looked through booking policies and did not see nothing like that. I believe she just did not want to help. That is unexceptable and I hope going forward your front desk staff treat your guest a better.

To high priced. Elevators- only one working and so small you could barely get luggage cart inside. Have to go security check everyday even if staying at hotel. Hotel was freezing. Two places to eat. One like snack area and the other expensive.
On positive side rooms & bathrooms are huge.
Negative on room- afraid to sit on couch or chair. Disgusting.
The casino area small . Manly slots. There is a smoking area inside for those who need it. All the staff here are very friendly.
Won't stay here again.

I loved my stay here. Absolutely huge room with tall ceilings and a nice view of the river. Gigantic bathroom with separate water closet yay! Beautifully decorated. The absolute nicest people I have ever met work at this hotel! Every single person, from the front desk to the security guards at the casino to the housekeeper I ran into to the staff at the restaurant I walked by.... So friendly, so engaging and genuinely sweet. I would stay here a million times.

As soon as I entered room 406, I felt a sense of uncleanliness. I didn’t want to touch anything. The room was very outdated. The bathroom had hair on the floor and inside the tub. The bathroom faucet is corroded. My wife and I slept with our clothes on. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. I started to take pictures but figured it wouldn’t do any good. I didn’t complain to the front desk because it was only for the night. If I wanted a cheap and dirty looking room, I would have gone to the Red Roof Inn. I’m sure there are other nice rooms in this place, but room 406 was definitely not one of them.

Resort fee rubbish is so infuriating.

Getting hit up with the $17.80/day \"resort fee\" is quite infuriating. Hiding the fee is so darn insulting as with similar bait and switch tactics. Just list the darn price and quite with the shell game rubbish.

Likes: Very nice property - 4 star in my book. Big room.

Dislikes: It’s a bit of a walk with your luggage even if you use the hotel drop off area. TV is a challenge: Jimmy Fallon showed up on HGTV. HLN wasn’t in the guide but I found it and there was no sound. Currently watching Reach but it went off air saying “LG No Signal”. If you visit Mon, Tue, or Wed, the dining option is the Grill, which is really a snack bar. You order at the counter; maybe a dozen items on the menu. The chicken wrap that I had was pretty tasty.
