The infernal glass door on the bathroom became our worst enemy. Two of us soldiers fell because we didn’t see it coming. Please, take it down or replace it with something else that isn’t transparent. Not the brightest idea to have a see-through door separating the bathroom and the bedroom.

Breakfast (specially crepes) was awesome btw.

Small room. Some have coffee makers and some don’t. There are not any extras at this hotel. The rooms are however very clean and quite comfortable. The location is AMAZING !! The breakfast is made to order and very good. We asked for extra pillows (you get one per person) and extra towels. They had no problem bringing them for us. Great little hotel.

We loved the hotel location and the staff. It is however very difficult if travelling by car and suit case. Parking is far and many steps to climb with the suitcase. It would have been a total disaster not for the help of staff specifically Ivana.

We had a wonderful stay at the Jupiter Heritage Hotel in Split. The location could not be better—it’s right inside Diocletian’s Palace, so everything from the cathedral and Peristyle to the Riva promenade is just steps away. It made exploring Split so easy and saved a lot of time and transportation costs.

We found this hotel to be in very poor condition. Everything was broken- no air conditioning, no safe, lights hanging off the wall in the bathroom, towel heater, coffee maker, the toilet paper roll kept falling off the wall, the iron I requested was covered in black. The staff contacted management about the air conditioning but no one ever came to fix it. Take your chances elsewhere, this one is a fail.

The property was literally in the HEART of the Diocletian palace. If you’re looking for a stay surrounded by culture, beauty, and great food, this is it! Having said that, you’re staying in a very old building surrounded by busy tourism. The air conditioning wasn’t optimum but was comfortable enough. It is very difficult to get your luggage to the property so call the staff to help you if you need.

great location, but with drawbacks

So this hotel is in the palace, and our room overlooked the baptistry, but it's in a pedestrian area and 20+ steps to get to it, which are both uneven and steep in places. google maps is OK to find it but it's down a side alley, with no signposts. Our room was one of the ones in the room photos, but the photos don't show the 4 steep steps from the room to the bathroom, with no handrail. Air conditioner was blocked by the curtains and the tie back in the picture is no longer present. Lamps were so large as to block any other use of bedside tables, and the ccables were frayed with one exposing live conductors. too much furniture so no space to open bags. no sockets to plug in chargers in good locations

The location was fantastic and we liked the quirkiness of where it was, in the palace. A couple of staff could have been a bit friendlier - some were really nice. Breakfast sometimes had stuff missing which wasn't replenished; one day lacked a working coffee machine, another day ran out of tea bags, another day - cornflakes ran out. The room we stayed in was a little run down and needed some maintenance - safe not working and not fixed (was reported), curtain rail seemed damaged, and we avoided using one of the lights because of the electrical fizzle sound coming from it when switched on! The transfers to and from the airport were fantastic, with both drivers being really friendly and helpful.

I would have given a higher rating if it wasn’t for the terrible internet service. In 2025 having poor WiFi is just not acceptable. Aside from this, the hotel is great. The location is right inside the palace a few steps from the cathedral, temples of Jupiter, cellars. Everything about the location is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and provided very good recommendations. The room itself was on the small side but this is normal for the location.

The hotel location was excellent being in the palace grounds. Staff were all really friendly, spoke excellent English and always willing to help. Breakfast options a little limited. Cleaning of rooms wasn’t completed until later in the day, possibly due to high turnover in rooms and sometimes missed, this was raised with reception and resolved.

Horrible experience, dirty hotel, all the windows has spider webs and very rude staff, I stayed there 2 nights. didn’t have hot water at all, I asked them they said technician is working on it and will fix in half an hour but they never fixed it, when I asked them where can I shower they suggest me to go to shower in jacuzzi area which was extremely hot with no AC, when outside temperature was 95 degree, also the shower was extremely dirty, it was impossible to take shower there. When I complain to front desk for hot water they said it is what it is they can’t do anything about it. I paid $500 per night, they don’t want to make refund and keep telling me manager will take care of it but no luck,

the hotel has everything we needed while staying in split , super convenient location for local attractions and shops dining and transport and travel agencies . the only imperfection is that it is nosy until midnight due to the heart of the location with many restaurants around .

hotel staff is amazingly helpful and kind who helped us to carry our luggages all the way to the harbour to save us fr expensive taxi. forgot to ask his name but a young lad who was really kind helping us to buy last minute ticket for the ferry and helped us on to the ferry just on time and without his help , we would have to wait for 1.5hrs for the next boat ! v thankful to him .

Just stayed 3 nights here with a friend. Standard room is small, but has what you need. Breakfast is good. I wouldn’t stay here again because of the bell tower. It rings starting at 6 AM weekdays, 7 AM on Saturday and 7:30 AM on Sunday. I don’t remember reading about this in reviews. If you stay anywhere near the palace, you’ll be up early.

This hotel has a fantastic location, it has real character, it was clean and the breakfast was decent, a fairly standard buffet offering. It should be noted that it is not easily accessible, there are steps surrounding the hotel and inside the hotel there are more steps between the elevators and some of the rooms. It was managable for me but could be an issue for someone else. I happened to stay in 2 different rooms and found that the television worked in one but not the other, there was a welcome guide in one but not the other, there were toiletries in one but not the other. Most members of Reception were very helpful, one was less so. All in all, cleanliness, location and character receive high marks, convenience and accessibility less so.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The room was spectacular and the location is unbeatable. Directly within old town but with that comes a bit more banter outside of your window. Staff was great and included breakfast buffet was even better! Highly recommend. Parking is just outside the old town walls (8 mins walk) but requires an advance reservation with the hotel. We were a bit early on in the season over Easter break so shopping was not all open yet but restaurants were.

Despite its prime location, this hotel falls significantly short of expectations. The air conditioning was woefully inadequate, making for an uncomfortable stay. What truly marred our experience, however, was the abysmal service from the front desk staff, particularly the blonde lady with glasses who was not only rude but also inept. Despite reserving a room with a king-sized bed, we were initially placed in a room with two minuscule twin beds. Although we were moved upon request, the alternative was a smaller room, which felt like settling for less.

We've stayed at comparable hotels in the main/old town areas that offer far better value—spacious rooms, functional air conditioning, and superior service. I highly recommend shopping around for a better option in the same vicinity.

For a hotel in the old town of Split it’s o.k, not luxury as described. I have stayed a few times and it’s slipping, beginning to look a bit shabby now. The mattress was too soft and the blood spots on the pillow and sheet were most unpleasant. I doubt I will go back.

We booked a delux quadruple room at £500 per night for 3 nights. The room we were given was tiny, both beds against each wall and 20 cm between them, some lights didn’t work, the shower was faulty and the tap didn’t turn off properly. There was also blood on the duvet and sheets. When I spoke to reception I was initially informed they would change the sheets but couldn’t knock down walls. After a bit more discussion they said they were fully booked that night but would move us on the next night. They said to email for a discount for night one. The room we moved to matched what we had booked. Two weeks later and 3 emails have been ignored. Such a shame as the hotel is in an ideal location.

The staff were all lovely but overall not a good experience. Half of the hotel seems new and modern, the other half, where I was, is very dated. The furniture looks like it came from a disney movie. The double bed was two singles pushed together that would come apart as you slept. Loud music from the hotel speakers woke me in the morning and made it difficult to have meetings online. I repeatedly asked for it to be turned off but this never happened. Breakfast passable but the coffee is atrocious.

Beautiful location, terrible parking and tiniest room ever. Parking is nowhere close to on site and you must walk to hotel. The location is great if you don’t have a lot of luggage, right in the old part of Split. However, I booked a quadruple deluxe and the hotel converted a double into a quad and the door didn’t even open properly. The other bed was a sofa bed for our two teenage daughters. It was an extremely tight squeeze for 4 of us. I complained and accommodations were made, which I appreciated, but it was not at all as advertised. Definitely not worth the money paid for and extremely disappointing.

The hotel is centrally located in the palace grounds of the city. The room is spacious but the air conditioning was pretty horrible. It was very hot and although we turned the air down as low as it could go (18 degrees), it didn’t work well at all. The room constantly was stuffy and felt more like 28 degrees. It was quite uncomfortable to get no relief from the heat for the price of the hotel. We also had a family room and there were no pillows available for the kids. The front desk was very helpful though in arranging our taxi to the airport.

It has the best location.
What I did not like it was that after a long airplane travel with a baby, even after I paid my reservation in advance, when I arrived they told me they had to charge me about $50 for fees, my baby was really tired so I had no other option than paying what they were requesting me to give me the room. That should be illegal, there was no information about this additional payment on expedia.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay, except parking was a problem but that should be expected due to the amazing location. It also was a little tricky to find the hotel on our walking GPS so contact the hotel ahead of time for easy way to find the reception area.

We stayed in the top room with the most amazing views of Split. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Staff were super helpful and we were greeted with a bottle of Croatian wine delivered to our room to enjoy on our amazing terrace. We would definitely return.

This hotel is in great location, next to the palace. The people work in hotel are super friendly. The breakfast is excellet. The room is very good, clean and morden.
The only thing is I stay in room 212, the internet connection constantly drops. I have to go to lobby breakfast area to use laptop. I stayed here for 4 nights. Really enjoyed everything except the internet. I don't have this internet issue in all other 3 Croatia hotels stayed.

Awesome location in the old city, rooms are beautiful and modern but keep the old world feeling. Breakfast is very good and staff is exceptional. Recommend using their airport shuttle so that the driver will help carry bags up the stairs to the lobby entrance. There is a small elevator inside the hotel. Was perfect to introduce friends to the charm of Split! Only con: it is a high step over the tub to use the shower- might be hard for mobility issues

A picture perfect stay!!!!

Truly an amazing experience from check in to check out! The staff is wonderful and will go out of their way to assist you in any way! I stayed here for 6 days at first and then decided to extend for another 2 days! Breakfast was great! Rooms very modern and comfortable! Had a slight issue with the AC for one night when it wasn't cold, but the staff did everything to help out - even at 2 am!!!! If I am ever back in Split, I will 100000% be back here!!!!!

The Jupitor Hotel and the staff are amazing. We travelled with our two young children and family friend who stayed at a hostel. We put the two girls through hell walking all over the city as the hotel is perfectly situated. At the end of the day the girls would always want to go back to the room and use the huge Jacuzzi tub. It was a blast for them. The patio overlooked the entire bay with the church tower on the left. Breakfast was great every morning. Our friend couldn't stay away and wished he had booked a room too.

We enjoyed our three night stay at this very central hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us select good restaurants for our evening meals. The room was a little small but perfectly adequate for our needs. Our only criticism would be that the young lady dealing with breakfast could have done with more help to keep tables clear and deal with requests. She did her best!
