I had a great stay, and staff was amazing except that the day after I left O got a final bill with an extra charge that did not belong. I was charged 2 of my children, even though I called the day before to confirm there would be no extra fee for them (since they are under the age of free guests). Manager confirmed no extra fee, but apparently left a note for it to be charged. I have been trying to contact her for over 2 weeks now, and she will not return my calls to resolve this issue.

Room was clean but I was placed directly under the breakfast room the other hotel guests were slamming the chairs on the floor and sliding them non stop for hours on end. I has to reschedule my business zoom meeting which was a huge inconvenience for me and my business partners. I asked them to move me due to the inconvenience and they denied my request. I will never stay there again due to these inconveniences.

The breakfast was not great and there was lots of construction in the area. The pool and hot tub were nice however the construction across the street was really loud so I made it hard to enjoy especially during the day. Room was decent however there was construction or some kind of repairs being done on our floor which started early in the morning. There are options to park on the street in front of the hotel which helped keep it more affordable.

Will not be staying again due to too many issues. Shower was luke warm for four of five days. Had to turn knob to full to make temperature tolerable. Wifi was very unreliable so had to use my own data. Asked for replacement of shower drain plug twice which never happened. Initially placed in room directly below breakfast area and had to listen to chairs being dragged across the floor constantly. Staff able to give us new room thankfully but pullout bed was terrible. Areas of hotel were malodourous. Breakfast was average at best. Only hot options on one day were pancakes and scrambled eggs, and no yogurt available that day. Hotel in need of multiple repairs (interior of elevator, hotel room doors, towel bar in bathroom fell off). Outdoor hot tub was warm at best. Shampoo bottle empty and left out, and not replaced. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is only 10-15 mins from SeaWorld and San Diego zoo which is why we choose to stay there. It is outdated but clean enough if you are only going over to spend the night. I would not stay there again, the elevator was almost creepy and torn down and breakfast included ends at 9am. And because it's California, of course there is a daily parking fee.

We arrived at the property around 7:45 pm after a long day at the theme parks. I was greeted by a friendly security guard who informed me that the front desk staff member was on her lunch break. Due to being short-staffed, we couldn’t check in until she returned. Our group consisted of 19 people from four families, so this was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, we waited in the lobby and were promptly assisted when she came back at 8:10. The staff member was gracious and apologetic, and we checked in smoothly with no further issues. The rooms were clean and ready, and everything went well. The next morning, around 10 am, just before check-out, I heard a faint knock at my door. I was across the room and didn’t answer right away, but then the housekeeper opened the door and quickly apologized. She explained they were trying to get rooms cleaned as they were also short-staffed in housekeeping. Aside from the staffing shortages and the slight delay during check-in, our stay was pleasant. I appreciated their proactive approach and professionalism despite the staffing challenges.

We had dirty sheets with feces. TV did not work. No hot water. The breakfast used to have make your own waffle in the past which was good but now they put out frozen waffles. It’s not worth the price. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else or save money and stay at Motel 6. Entire hotel is very old, smells or is in bad condition.

I have never done this before, but our stay was subpar. We almost left after check-in because our room was not clean. The mattresses on the bunk beds had pee stains, the pillowcases on the king bed were stained, and bathroom did not appear to be very clean at all. The manager moved us to a different room on the floor, as the whole floor was under renovation. The second room was a bit better, but even the newly renovated room had old mattresses and pillows that were not much better than the others. The pillows were so flat and hard that we had to stack two to be somewhat comfortable. We decided to stay, but were next door to a family whose child screamed most of the time we were there. We had to pay an additional $78 for parking, a $40 fee for checking in one hour early (which we got refunded because we had to switch rooms), and a $150 security deposit that I still have not received credit back for, even though we checked out 4 days ago. We will not return to this property.

The hotel put a dozen of teenagers into single rooms all over the hotel. Too many people. Needless to say They ran out of eggs, sausage, even toas every morning during my whole stayt. My card was charged before I checked in even though I chose to “Pay at the Property”. I had asked for the previous room I used last time and they put me in a more expensive room that had 2 bunk beds I did not need, just for that I was charged an extra $300. Manager was rude and said they have started people before they check in because too many people are not serious even though this was my 4th time staying with them and obviously my last

Horrible staff. We tried to check-in at 06:30pm after a very long road trip. When we went to the front desk, a security told is to wait 25-30min until the recepcionist would be back from “her lunch”. Só we did, we waited for 30minutes and when we complained to her about this unusual fact (empty desk for check-in), she was rude and said:”you are free to leave”. Só we did; we booked another hotel, in the same Area. All we ask, give our money back, we did not use your bad “services” at all.

The pool was cold but the hot tub was nice. Room was ok but the fold out bed was really uncomfortable, even for children who normally can sleep on anything. The staff was really nice. It would be nice to have a restaurant close to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western near SeaWorld San Diego. Breakfast every morning was an added bonus, although I do wish there had been more variety as far as the protein options (it was sausage every day), but it was free to us so I didn't complain. The pool was pretty cold, but the hot tub was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance.

You pay for parking only if you get in late there isn't any parking. $30/night for there to be no parking is kind of insane. Staff was nice tho. Overall a decent affordable place to crash at night.

The breakfast was absolutely horrendous. If you’re staying for the breakfast, don’t do that. The fact that you have to pay an extra $30 to park that’s not really mentioned on their website is also ridiculous. The staff was really fantastic although they came to clean our room and there was a huge ring around the bathtub that sat there for two days. Our bathroom was set up so far that we couldn’t reach the toilet paper and we had to put it on the back of the toilet, which is not the biggest deal except we were too grown adults so if you had kids or elderly in that room, they wouldn’t be able to make it work. The outdoor pool had wet, dirty towels, everywhere and no clean towels anywhere.

Staff was friendly and our room was comfortable but what made the experience terrible was upon trying to use one of the elevators on our floor, the door almost shut on my partner as they were going in to the elevator. We stepped back and again the elevator door almost closed while I was about to go in. We let someone at the front desk know about it but my companion now has a big bruise on her forearm from where the elevator door hit her. That incident unfortunately will not be having us come back in the foreseeable future.

Reception was friendly, the rooms smelled like sweaty socks and it felt dirty. If I touched the floor for any reason to pick up something I had dropped you can instantly feel the nastiness of the rugs. They would come everyday just to tightly up the bed sheets for the adult beds the bunk bed was always messy. We never received any restocks on the shampoo nor clean sheets, nor clean towels or anything else. Every night we heard noises from the air conditioners and the vents. Not satisfied with the stay and don’t think I would stay here again.

The room was clean, and neat. We had a suite for 2 adults and 3 kids. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was perfect for free and variety. The jacuzzi was clean and lovely. The pool was clean but not heated. The only issue was you have to pay for parking. That's new to me. In all my years, you never had to pay for parking at the hotel you've paid for. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again. Well worth the convenience and location for a large family on a budget.

Our room only had warm water (middle setting). There was no hot. It was cold on both ends for the shower. Not only that, when we got to our room, there was no shampoo, conditioner, hand soap nor lotion. This is not typical compared to our past Best Western stays. We do like the bunk beds option for the kids!

There was no water in the lobby to drink, Used the hot water to make Tea on night and the Hot water wasn't even luke warm. One morning they ran out of hot breakfast food. The room had no where to hang wet towels in the bathroom. Also there wasn't a luggage stand to use in the room.

Hotel and room stunk and soo dirty ! My bed sheets had stains everywhere .. carpet probably hasnt been vacuumed before .. crack heads all over the outside of hotel .. when i told them to clean my room i came back from zoo 7 hours later and the only thing they cleaned was empty the garbage from bathroom. They didnt clean any of the 3 beds . First and last for me thats forsure
