A long walk down winding corridors and steps ensued to reach our rooms . The bathroom door was heavily marked and dirty all mouldy grout had been attempted to be sealed over with mastic ( very poorly ) . Cleanliness was far from good in the bathroom and likewise in the room . Carpet was very stained and dirty . Thankfully the bedding was indeed clean .

I recently stayed at the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel and found the experience to be a mix of positives and areas for improvement.
On the positive side, the location is very convenient, especially for those attending events in the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which I appreciated.
However, the check-in process was slower than expected, with a noticeable queue that didn’t move very quickly. My room was unfortunately quite cold, and despite raising this with the staff, the issue wasn’t resolved during my stay. Additionally, the bed was not particularly comfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
There was also a noisy event taking place in the hotel that evening, which affected the overall atmosphere and made it hard to relax.
Overall, while the staff and location are definite strengths, there are some comfort and service issues that need attention to make this a more enjoyable stay.

Signs in parking lot also demanded daily parking fee. Reception stated that was what they hoped but parking was actually free. Slightly dated decor, the property is vast and we were put in rooms that seemed the furthest away from the main building. Despite it seeming very quiet and there were only a handful of guests. The rooms and corridors could do with modernising. There were some stains on the carpet and a lampshade in one of our rooms. There were no issues with the breakfast with reasonable choice. I would suggest the hotel is more 3 star plus rather than 4.

I booked the hotel Via hotels.com and chose the hotel because it had a pool. When I arrived reception advised me that the pool is not included in the price as I booked Via Hotels.com. This was not notified to me during the booking process or I would have chosen another hotel. Very disapointed!

All staff I interacted with were smiley and very pleasant, a spacious clean room and bathroom with plenty of hot water, a room was very warm during the night mainly because of weather but the room had a fan. If you are driving this hotel is perfect but I wasn’t, and public transport was scarce and took me a while to get my head around it hence one star less for me. Over all though, I enjoyed staying there so I’m sure I’ll be back again.

Just want to preface this by saying I did enjoy my stay here, the staff are wonderful and it's in a nice quiet area.
However, I did notice that the air filter thing in the bathroom was absolutely caked in dust and the breakfast was somewhat lacking, the sausages were like chewing rubber and the beans were quite thin.

Not worth the price. Rooms weren’t particularly clean, we found 3 bugs within 10 minutes. Bathrooms are dated. Tv signal was non existent. Breakfast was crusty scrambled egg and stale bread. The cheese and ham section didn’t get restocked. Honestly premier inn is much better and better priced

I arrived at the hotel at 10pm after a 14 hour flight from Shanghai and a two hour drive from Heathrow. Upon arrival I was told that the hotel was overbooked and the room I had booked was gone!
I was sent to another hotel 10km away which I had no choice but to accept.
Apparently it is typical of this hotel to overbook and disappoint customers.

Staff were great and helpful. I used the pool and sauna, both clean and good standard. Proper 3 foot single beds in twin room, not half of a double bed. All you can eat breakfast had cooked English, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, deli meats and cheese, croissant type stuff, fruit juices, tea and coffee etc. The place is quite large with many conference rooms, restaurant, bar, outside courtyard, leisure centre also included steam room and gym equipment. Situated among residential housing there are no great views but altogether very good place to stay for access to this south west midlands area. Only minus was chips and flaking paint on the room’s bathroom door.

I had gone in to have a look what was on offer due to dietry restictions however the member of staff in there was practically chasing me around with a card machine. I felt very uncomfortable with her on my back and ended up paying £16.50 for 2 bits of toast as I felt like I wasnt suppose to be in there . I asked if I could take a tea to my room and she shouted back saying I MUST pay, at this point I had enough, paid and expressed I wasnt happy, she shouted back at me saying well I could of had anything , yet I couldnt eat my toast without her practically sat at my table with me.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Food was undercooked. Paying for a swimming pool isnt good for a hotal and should be included in the price. We oaid exoected the place to be clean. The pool had broken tiles on the floor and a scum marks around the waterline. I scatched it and it came off so its not staining,its filth. We paid 10 pounds per person to swim in a dirty pool...would not recommend
