Basically I'd booked a double room and when checking in, was told there was only twin rooms available. Had I been told this before the cancellation window closed I would have cancelled and booked elsewhere. I had no choice but to accept the room otherwise I'd lose my money, which is hardly fair. I slept far worse in a single bed than I would have done in a double.

There is a night club over the road that kept us awake all night. It was that loud I thought it was

We went down for breakfast and it wasn’t the best. The bacon was well over done, tomatoes were cold, hash brown were like cardboard. The only thing tha was nice was the baked beans.

I formed the staff when we was leaving about the noise and the didn’t seem to bothered.

That being said the hotel was clean and the cleaner were super friendly.

Great stay, everything I needed for a very last minute booking, for one night, tea/coffee. Netflix login. Towels/Shower gels etc….Great breakfast to get me fuelled up before leaving. Right in the middle of town, easy access, and with the Vue Cinema next door, kept me entertained last minute. And the staff were fantastic and very friendly. Thank you.

The hotel is well placed in the town centre with a car park right next door, priced at £8 for 24 hours, very reasonable. Park on the lower floor for direct access to the hotel.
We were extremely pleased with the spaciousness of the room. The bed was comfortable and the TV huge for a hotel room. The bathroom too was large. There was plentiful tea, coffee and milk.
The breakfast was well varied, well-maintained and all was clean.
Improvements that I would suggest. Please provide a hand towel as well as bath towels. Please provide two spare pillows, not just one.
Lighting in the room is not really sufficient for things like styling hair. A light above the mirror would really help.
Things out of the hotel's control, the person in the neighbouring room trying the connecting door- a bit disconcerting. People returning at 4am speaking at the top of their voices, very inconsiderate.

Two night stay for my partner and I as we were attending a couple of events at The Roadmender. Only a 5 mins walk straight down the road to the venue!
Hotel on the outskirts of the town centre, shops, restaurants, bars, takeaways- spoilt for choice all within a few minutes walk.
Nice clean room, comfy bed, hot powerful shower, food and drinks available 24/7 and friendly, helpful staff- always ready to greet you with a smile. What more could you want! We would definitely stay again.

First room offered was not nice so asked move get better room but still cleanliness needs upkeep. Under bed not hovered dusty. Dusty window seal. Bathroon door handle questionable marks. Breakfast options were good and plentiful. Not the place to be if you want a quiet night. It’s on the same site as a music venue and noise pollution into the early hours is usual particularly over the weekend. The bathroom could definitely have been cleaner and was not up to the usual high Ibis standard. But overall a good place to stay

The room is a bit dark need more lights. No charging area beside the bed. The room cleaner doesn’t understand English, I asked for blanket but she gave me towel. I asked her for directions but she said she doesn’t understand me as she doesn’t speak English. The electric fan is too small. The room is too hot. The receptionist is very accommodating.

The room was clean but the hotel is tired looking and the carpets in the corridor need a deep clean. But all the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The pillows were soft which was perfect for me. There is no air con so the addition of a fan in the room was welcome. Parking is at a the Sol public carpark behind for £8 a day and it's central. Try the fabulous Jenny's restaurant for breakfast which is a short walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay again

I always use Ibis hotel when i travel but unfortunately this time the experience wasnt great. Room was not well maintained. They even had to send a maintenence man who barged in while i was changing, to fix a broken window. No WiFi connection during stay forcing us to purchase our ownhotspot. The shower water did not drain properly leaving you to stand and take a shower in a pool of dirty water. The beds seemed clean and that was really the only positive e.

The hotel was a short walk from the train stations and the staff was kind and helpful. Someone got stuck in one of the two elevators shortly after we arrived, and the room while clean was starting to feel a bit worn. There were a few great restaurants eat by, but the surrounding block or two felt run down and not particularly safe at night.
