Lovely hotel. Great service and the room is very comfortable and clean. Ended up staying a second night and the staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate me. Great value and I’ll happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not the hotel’s fault but my room was a long way from the reception down confusing little corridors.
The room was cold and the decorative state was tired. The fire alarm went off three times during the night for quite a few seconds then stopped but I couldn’t get an answer by phone from reception to find out what was going on.
Parking is very limited at the hotel as it’s in the town centre so I had to leave my car in a badly lit carpark a bit away from the hotel. I have to say the young lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful when I rang from outside to ask where to park. She came out to find me and give me directions. Again staff at the bar when ordering food were pleasant and helpful. The food was ok but could have been better.

Lovely staff, very comfy bed & lovely soft sheets. My room was very clean. Cooked breakfast was very good. The corridors, entrance & dining room are tired looking but it has character & there’s still signs of its former grandeur. Good value for money

Very nice building, friendly staff, the room lacked attention to detail for cleanliness for example the kettle, shower tray, skirtings needed a clean.
No control to radiator and wasnt working and got a bit cold in the night.
The room didnt have a manual for fire regs, wifi password, local information ect there was a leaflet but again lack of detail.
The room was comfortably enough for a nights stay.

All the staff at the Hind Hotel were super helpful, the room was delightful, breakfast was delicious, and we were taken to see the famous Priest Hole in the Oak room, which dates from 1644. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were great. The only downside was the feral behaviour of the youths directly outside this iconic local hotel. The staff were careful to look after the front entrance security for guests, and we were very grateful to be able to park our hire car in the secure hotel courtyard. As an overseas visitor, I was alarmed at the state of many town centres during our stay, but the Hind Hotel did everything it could to make our visit to the hotel comfortable

Everything was ok.

This was a last minute business trip booking. The image made it look outstanding but was right on the main road, high street area. Room was small, car park was small. The best thing was a large glass of wine £4.90.
Probably the clump of someone’s hair that was on the bed when I went to get it puts me off going again.

Despite the view of others on review, we found the place clean, the beds comfy and, as most said, the breakfast lovely. Appears they are doing a bit of a refurb and the rooms and common areas are benefitting from that. I would stay here again if I was in the area given the choice.

We were so grateful that the Hind had a room available for two nights following a horrible experience with the property we had booked. Staff were friendly and available 24 hours and I was able to borrow an ironing board. It is easy to find parking around the hotel, even though it's right in the centre of the town. The building is a bit dated, but that only adds to its charm as a Tudor hotel. The only real downside was the mattress, which was very hard! But we had a good stay and it made our trip for a wedding memorable.

The property is close to the city centre. The staff were approachable and helpful. The food and service was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The shower room was small and not so clean. But overall I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to others.

Staff were amazing during check in and check out, the car park was full when I called so I was directed to the nearest car park. The bed was comfy and the shower had a decent water pressure. Breakfasts available looked lovely but slept in too late to manage to have any!

The property was nice and very central but the room was very hot and only two of the four windows could be opened though not that far. It was a bit noisy as the delivery trucks we pulling up all day. Beeping alarms as the reverse and the loading or unloading of deliveries under our window was pretty loud. I liked the hotel and the rooms.

I was a bit flustered in the reception area and a long journey. I and my partner suffer from severe anxiety and mine includes, severe depression. When we arrived and finally logged into the WIFI. I needed to transfer some money from one account to the other and I asked if I could pay £85 of the total, £140 and do the transfer in the room to return and pay the balance but I was answered with no. I can't gi9ve you the key until the bill is paid first. I understood but it caused distress and an awkward uncomfortable atmosphere. There was one seat which my partner was using and as the reception area was small the other guests approached to request help. This was embarrassing as it looked like I wasn't able to pay. I got more flustered, worrying about causing a delay to all which took me longer.
There was cockroaches in the room and I caught one. Trapped it in a glass and delivered it to the guy on reception. The cockroach was still alive and knocking around the glass from the room. The staff member said thanks as he took the glass like it was a common practise or he didn't give a toss about this health and safety/EHO issue I had brought to him

Ideal for our requirement

Perfect for our one night stop-over enroute to another venue. It's quite a big, old building with some quirky features but we had everything needed in our room which was well presented. Staff were personable. Breakfast was good. The hotel sits on a one-way road system. It's compact car park is to the rear of the property. If you miss the hotel car park sign on approach and pass the hotel on your left, follow the one-way clockwise, turning left just before the hotel.

Lovely stay at the Hind. Staff were wonderful and helpful, great receptionists and bar staff, all staff very friendly. Room had everything needed - bar a mini fridge (which would have been a nice extra). The room was cleaned everyday to a good standard. The bar and restaurant/ breakfast area was nice, although other main areas looked a little tired and could use a lick of paint etc. Breakfast was wonderful! Only thing I would add for breakfast would be to offer fruit. All in all a lovely stay. Thank You!

I truly enjoyed my stay here! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made me feel welcome right from the start. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was so comfortable that getting up in the morning was a real challenge — I finally got the proper rest I’d been needing for a long time.

Yes, some of the facilities are a little dated, but honestly, that only adds to the hotel’s charm. It has a lovely historical feel that gives it real character.

If I could change one thing, it might be the dining room — a little update wouldn’t hurt. But overall, I’m really happy with my stay, especially considering the hotel is located right in the heart of Wellingborough.

I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
