Disappointed to learn upon arrival that there was no evening service / bar / restaurant. Very helpful lady at reception guided me to suitable eateries and there was a local village map in my room showing the same.

Got that and was greeted with a very friendly lady at reception, who couldn’t be more helpful. The place was clean and comfortable and the service at breakfast was exceptional along with the breakfast that was very very tasty, and as my wife was a little worse for where they even made up a sandwich for me to take back to her room without asking a great little hotel run by fantastic people.

Lovely hotel but we were disappointed to find the restaurant closed. There are other places to eat in Moulton but they were meant a good long walk in a bitterly cold evening or taking the car, worrying about parking, not having a drink, etc.

One night business trip. The welcome on arrival was very poor after a long day and drive up from London. Shouted at as to where I could and could not park my car when pulling into the car park and attempting to park in a spot reserved for hotel guests. I was told in no uncertain terms that I could not park where I was about to park (even though I was a hotel guest). After explaining I was a hotel guest I was still banished to the furthest ends of the car parking area. Very rude and totally unnecessary in my opinion.

The hotel is located in a wonderful village within walking distance of good food choices and conveniences. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our friendly host, who provided us with lots of helpful information. Our room was located on the top floor, which with heavy luggage was a slog without lifts, but honestly that's more on us choosing to use the hotel with that knowledge than an issue with the hotel itself. Our room was lovely and cosy, had a very comfortable bed, and was well kept. It was everything we wanted. We had to have a very quick breakfast in the morning as we were leaving for an event very early, but it does seem to offer many food choices and they are very attentive to your needs. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, astounding service and friendly atmosphere.
