Absolute dump, loud in the room so thought we better close the window to block some of the sound but It made no difference. Stank of weed if you opened the door so made the room stink. Bed was ok and room was clean but very furnishing all rough and tired etc. Member of staff was friendly.

The whole place is run down and has seen better days! The rusted bath and plugs and towels with marks. I would not recommend for solo women given the large crowd of men hanging about outside and around reception. Incredibly intimidating.

Room was extremely dated and decor tired is an understatement. Bathroom door didn’t close, bed sheets had dirty marks on. The whole place needs some serious money spent and closed for a complete refurbishment. It was cheap but it’s not worth almost £40 a night.

Reasonable budget hotel for breaking a journey North or South. Easy access in or out via service road if needed. Pleasant and friendly staff on front desk. Pet friendly but fee per dog at £15 was not advertised and much higher than expected. Noise from motorway evident but not excessive. Didnt try breakfast. Mattresses medium soft. Road chef and costa coffee close by.

Great value for money

While one could nit-pick (receptionist seemed surprised to have to explain the set-up to us, we'd never been before, broken light in the bedroom flashing and clicking, fan in the bathroom not working, whole place pretty shabby and tired-looking) nonetheless the bed was comfortable, the black-out was good, there was no road noise and the shower was smashing. Overall, amazing for the price. I'd go back.

This is a great place to stop over, the reception staff are lovely and really helpful, I think the ladies name was Sarah. The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was not as good, the fan didn’t work which has subsequently made the metal toilet roll holders and other metal items rusty and the bath was badly chipped which made it look dirty. We had 2 large double beds that were clean and comfortable with extra pillows I would stay there again.

Short stay on M1

As long as you want comfort, good water pressure in the shower, a safe space to stay, its for you. You can get food at the pub down the road, or McDonalds next door. Rooms are good size, but you're looking out onto either carpark or portacabins. No noise though, despite proximity to M1. Bath could fo with updating (a bit water-stained). Beds firm and comfy. Extra pillows provided. Wall heater good and easy to just switch on and off. Kettle, with tea and coffee (just the basics), plus hair dryer on wall and tv. Parking in front of hotel.

Slamming doors disturbed sleep all night

All the doors in this building slam shut, and with people arriving into the small hours, there were doors slamming loudly all night. It was almost impossible to get any kind of decent sleep. There was also a lot of staining in the shower which was really off-putting, so we chose not to use it.
I wasn't expecting grand luxury given the price paid, but I did expect to be able to get some sleep!

My room was to the rear, facing away from the motorway so no noise. First impressions, I thought the place would be quite dated, but I was pleasantly surprised.

It's clean and all you would expect from a good hotel room, with just two niggles which were so minor I couldn't be bothered to report them (the electric radiator can be turned off or on at the wall but the thermostat was set high and not adjustable. There was also no hot water for a shower before bed but there was in the morning). To be fair, I've had more to complain about in far more expensive and pretentious places than this.

Ask for a room with a HIGH number, which puts you at the end of the corridor. I had room 2, adjacent to the entrance to the corridor and stairs, making for a noisy evening.

Dining options include MacDonald's, Costa, a sandwich from WH Smith or some fast food franchise I've not seen before. Luckily, Just Eat can deliver to the hotel and the lovely receptionist was kind enough to lend me cutlery and a plate.

In conclusion - very pleased, and would happily stay here again.

Struggled to find the hotel not clearly marked. Phoned customer services… first person left me on hold for 12 minutes. Phoned back again a lady clearly took the piss out of me asking for all my details then when asked for the hotel number gave me a fake number. Third time time lady gave me the number I had just called on. After asking the police where to go I got the help. Lady at reception was amazing! Incredibly helpful and disgusted with the service given. Hotel was ok, but more detail on cleaning needed but still pleasant overall. Thankyou to the lady on reception!!!

We were really fortunate during our stay to have Carole as our personal concierge. She provided us with local delicacies including the celestial \"haribo\" as opposed to the expected chocolate which is so cliche. Carole really enabled us to have maximum enjoyment at the property. We would have enjoyed the room for much longer had we not got completely lost twice: first having initially exited the northbound carriageway to find there was no hotel, realising the mistake and then heading towards Coventry to find a place to join the southbound carriageway; and second trying to find at least one sign pointing the way to the hotel behind the many parked trucks which obscure its presence from the entrance to the services. However given what we planned to use the room for the veiled location was not unappreciated. I would say it would be a good idea to bolt the beds to the wall as when it gets a bit rough it did tend to drift and it's difficult to find your rhythm when you're wheeling across the floor. The hanging rail in the wardrobe was good and sturdy and took a fair bit of weight which only added to the fun Carole had already provided. Unfortunately our stay did have a downside. There was a strange device hanging out of the window which we assumed would have heightened our erotic experience. However we were very dissatisfied that carole decided not to leave the key.

Hotel is fit for purpose if nothing special is expected.
Beware, access to the hotel from the M1 Northbound is through the service gate at the back of the lorry car park. Ring the bell and they will open the gate allowing you to cross the motorway. Satnav won't know and as a result, you can also access via the A5, look for the Service Gate just alongside the bridge.

The staff who checked us in and were there for the duration of our stay were absolutely lovely! They really made us feel at home. Room was pleasant and spacious, bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean. Nothing to complain about! We stayed here en route to a concert at CBS Arena in Coventry which was only a 30min drive away so ideal for when travelling up to a concert.

It's Days Inn....what do you expect?

It is what it is! Great value for money if you are breaking a long journey going north or south. Basic, no frills - you essentially get what you pay for, which is a comfortable bed and a decent shower before the next leg of your trip. I arrived late at night which might explain the 'utilitarian, form-filling focus' of the welcome from reception, but the cleaning staff the next morning were cheerful and friendly enough.

I stayed with an American friend and we arrived at about 3am as we were playing a show in London that night. The check in was very thorough but felt more like a border crossing than a welcoming hotel. Also I had a water leak in my room that kept me awake and I thought I was dreaming the noise of the intermittent dripping.
