The stag couldn’t do enough for us, they are all exceptional. We were traveli g with 3 young children and staff were so helpful at breakfast. They brought over plastic bowls/plates/cups and offered to help carry hot drinks over while I was carrying a toddler

General maintenance issues as it’s an old hotel, but decorated modern. Good location and friendly staff. Food was good but expensive. Room was a good size, bed comfortable and nice and warm. Better tea and coffee facilities would be nice and better quality loo roll 🙂

For the price I paid, this hotel was not worth it. While the rooms are spacious, the overall experience was disappointing. The customer service was not the best and did not meet expectations for a hotel in this price range.
I was also surprised to be charged for parking even though I am a Hilton Honors member. Given that the hotel is outside of the city, I was not expecting an additional parking fee.
There was no complimentary water in the room, and the room itself was very cold. The heater did not warm the space adequately, which was uncomfortable. Fortunately, there was an extra bed in the room, so I was able to use the additional blankets to stay warm.
Overall, it was a bad experience for a pricey hotel, and I would not consider staying again for the value offered.

At check in receptionist instead on taking payment because he couldn’t see it even though we had paid. He seemed inexperienced and was more interested in having a banter with a drunk guest.

It was scrounging hot in the room. A small fan was provided but only circulated the hear in the room.

Amazing staff really helpful and lovely hotel and breakfast. Th only let down was the public toilets jn the lobby. From checking in to checking out (24 hrs) the mens and ladies loos remained dirty. (Stains in all loos) no loo rolls and a pair of old shoes disgarded in ladies. They were grim and e told mmbers of staff at the night time bar. My partner was quite shocked to see the mens in the same state on checkout today.

That needs addressing as otherwise a perfect stay.

We stayed for a single night. Staff didn't know timings for meals/gym/breakfast. Evening meal was well below expectations for the price paid...singapore noodles with chicken (chicken was pretty much non-existent and hard at the edges, ie. microwaved). Adult lasagne was the tiniest portion for £20 and you didn't get any extra ie garlic bread so paid for chips. Childrens advertised fusilli pasta was macaroni.
Beds were hard and showers cold.

Would be happy with some form of refund or voucher as concerns raised at hotel were dismissed. Would not expect this from a Hilton.

I’ve stayed here many times so I was unhappy that changed in my plans was not accommodated on request. Poor customer service on Hilton’s behalf - I had requested to change my date and was declined.
That said, the room was clean and the breakfast service and offer much improved from previous stays.
Rooms are a little dated and never like a shower with a curtain but for the price and convenience you can’t grumble. Does feel like an uninvested Hilton though

We had a great stay at this hotel last weekend. The room was clean, spacious and perfect for our family of four, giving us plenty of comfort. The staff was absolutely brilliant—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of options, including plenty for vegetarians. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it!

The staff were great but there are too few of them for a larger hotel. The basics like the faulty drain in the sink and very temperamental shower controls, lights that would not switch off individually (all on or all off only option) made the room feel very tired. The cleaning and the finish of the room, let it down sadly. Just felt a bit grotty. The sink and taps had not been cleaned and behind the taps were green.
It was not to a very high standard but can't fault how helpful and friendly the staff were and our dog was very welcomed and was happy for a new toy.

1 night business trip. Straight off the M1 and A45. From check in to check out the staff were brilliant. Ate in the bar which was good and service was great. Noted some reviews about the rooms being dated, but i found it fine, comfy, clean, quiet and had everything needed. Only negative was the checkout took about 15 mins, confusion with the hotel sytem as i'd booked through hotels.com? but i'd definitely stay here again.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived. Check in was at three, but no room till half four. It was ok as went for something to eat and the reception held our bags and call us when ready.
Parking extra charge at £5 was a little cheeky.
Room was nice, clean and spacious. Bathroom a little tired with no extractor.
Staff very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't fault them.
The bar was nice and lovely gardens. Breakfast very nice with everything you could want and a very nice cooked buffet.

We stayed in a family room with two queen beds for one night (a friday), 2 adults, 1 child. Visiting the area for a wedding.

Parking was a bit of a surprise; as you can tell from the photos the hotel is situated outside of town, it has its own car park and based on the hotels location I would not expect non-hotel users to want or need to use the car park - this being the case we were VERY surprised to find there was an additional daily charge for car parking. We also found the parking spaces to be quite narrow; We don't have a big car but it was difficult to get ourselves and our luggage in and out of the car with vehicles adjacent to ours.

The room was spacious but the decor was dated, furniture scuffed, stains on the carpet. No air-conditioning in the room, which is disappointing considering the prestige brand.

The beds & pillows were comfortable, bedding & towels clean.

We noted a (very small) amount of hair (shaving debris) around the edge of the bath and some dried-on soap on the bath splashback. Good selection of complimentary toiletries including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and moisteriser. The iron had been left with filled with water so when we moved it, it sloshed stagnant water over some of our wedding attire.

Wi-fi was complementary and of sufficient speed. Far too few electrical outlets for charging phones, tablets, etc.

The front desk staff were ALL lovely.

Overall, decent, but not competitive for the price paid.

When i spoke to the reception desk was told all the information is passed onto yourselves and he will be looking into this. He did apologise. So I cant blame the hotel for this.

Stay was business trip. Paid in advance via Hotels.com. Presented debit card as requested at check in. Extras totalled £10.50, which were paid. Hotel took an additional £102, plus then had further circa £94 pending debiting my bank account. I have contacted hotel & they advise an error. Now awaiting refund of £102 plus cancellation of the pending £94. Not happy.

I thought this was a brilliant hotel - it’s a bit tucked out of the way but right on M1/A45 so for travel the location is brilliant.

I booked in same day I stayed.

I got a wellness gift room and got a lovely set of beautiful smellies - bath bombs, facial serum, room fragrance - well worth the extra £.
