Some parking on site. However, if it’s full, there is a public car park opposite that allows a two hour stay.
Room was clean but basic. Bed reasonably comfortable, hotel clean and comfortable. There is a bar and a pub associated with the hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was average quality but plentiful. Evening meals are available. Lots of choice for restaurants and shops locally and is fairly close to the City and the M1.

We stayed at the Swan Revived hotel as it was the venue for the funeral wake we were attending.

It is an old property, of course, but the rooms were spacious and well cared for. There is a lift, but still expect stairs here and there as you navigate all the (39) bedrooms. The restaurant was excellent, a nice pub attached with a beer garden, and all the staff we encountered were helpful and attentive. We would definitely stay here again (with less luggage to carry!)

Having to walk though thick cigarette smoke to get to the door to reception is not a welcoming start, and unfortunately the smell of cigarettes lingered throughout the hotel. Our room was not very clean, tea or coffee had been spilt down the wall and left, the carpet was very stained. bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a guessing game, we were showed to a table but not offered drinks or told if it was table or self-service. We had to ask for tea and toast. Food was good quality from the buffet .

This is a hotel in the high street. It has a very small car park at the rear (5 or 6 vehicles), and behind that there is a public car park (no charge in the evening). This is an old building, there is a lift but there are still stairs to negotiate when out of lift. I was in a room on the 2nd floor. It was okay, ensuite bathroom okay. No view from the window in the room (but I had not booked the room for a view).

We chose this hotel for location and value. We had no complaints about the accommodation. The room was typical for inns of this era (small) but expected it to be so. It was reasonably well appointed. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but the staff helped.

Breakfast was good 3 of 4 mornings. Monday bacon was over cooked and rubbery so not eaten, Possibly a reheat. Sadly, I wasn’t asked why, nor was asked if stay had been comfortable, else my feedback would have been direct to them rather than here.
I would still stay again as mostly a fine hotel. Their bar & restaurant could do with a review as menu very limited. However, locally an Italian restaurant and a Chinese takeaway were good value.

At 6am a towel delivery arrived outside on roller wheels on cobbled ground which was very loud and unnecessary. At breakfast the team were short staffed and we had to ask twice for hot drinks which finally arrived after we had eaten our breakfast.
At check out, they didn’t ask how our stay was. They just wanted confirmation of the room number. Lack of hospitality!

The room was old fashioned and furniture worn. It was fairly clean, but much room for improvement, the remote control was filthy so I gave it a clean. The photos and reviews on the website did not show what it was actually like. Customer service very slow in all areas even though it wasn't busy, reception staff were slow to even acknowledge us. We were the only two people for dinner and yet we were waiting a while to be seated, food was ok for pub grub. I then had to go and find someone so we could pay our bill after waiting for quite a period of time. The best service we had was at breakfast served by a lovely lady who was very helpful and friendly. We would not stay again

Very limited (and tight) parking in the hotel car park. Check in was quick and easy. Stairs to first floor very steep (and small steps as old building). Room was quite small, there was a small shower room with toilet. The sink was in the main bedroom though, with a large mirror facing the bed. Tea and coffee available in the room. The bedroom looked worn/ tired. Room was above the beer garden, was quite noisy

We booked a few rooms for family as we were all attending a 40th birthday party. We absolutely loved it. What wonderful friendly staff and so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back. As South Africans we just loved the quaintness of the hotel too! And although the breakfast took a while to come out it was well worth the wait. Thank you so much from The Erwee and Wilkins families.

Stayed for one night at the Swan, check in was straight forward and quick. Room was adequate for the night and clean and tidy. We found the bed comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good and the waitress was very helpful and polite. Overall would recommend and would stay again.
