Most of things were good like the check in process, however when arrived at the room me and my partner saw there was make up on one of the pillows and the quilt and the bedsheet. Another problem I had was people up past 12:30 shouting and making so much noise, I know it’s not the hotels fault

Didn't use the bar, but the staff were great and very helpful the room was clean and comfortable.
The vegan sausages are terrible though, in an ever changing world where we should be looking at reducing the carbon footprint of everything. You should be providing a better vegan option and promoting the choose so other people can choose to eat less meat.

Nice hotel but.....

The toilet put water on the floor if you didn't put seat down fast enough and the shower put water on the floor because I couldn't move it. The bathroom door was an odd colour and just looked a mess with paint allover the door frame, like not finished

Great hotel but could do with AC

Food was good but took a while to order and receive veggie sausages especially during busy breakfast periods. At one point the food ran out and we had to wait 20mins for everything to be recooked.

The hotel is extremely hot and could do with investing in AC in the rooms. We had to have fans and open the window (which only opens a fraction) just to get a bit if air.

I enjoyed my 3 day stay at the Delta Hotel. Thanks to Jade for changing our room from a double bed to two single bed.
Breakfast was excellent and catering staff were helpful especially when it was packed for the reggae weekend.

My room was on the 2nd floor. We noticed the runner was a hazard and i cant believe that this was repaired
. It was all ruffled which would cause a serious injury. We had to pull the runner twice to straighten. On both days other guest noticed this and said the chamber maids if they're still call this name should of informed hospitality / management.

Would definately stay again. Hopefully the hotel will consider organising a shuttle bus service to and from future Reggae Land/ The Bowl events. Hotel staff extremely informative. accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Comfortable bed. Perfect for a weekend stay. We stayed here last year and had an amazing room, so decided to book again as a halfway stop en-route to Alton Towers. Sadly we had a tired room - the air con didn't work and sounded like it was going to explode.

The shower didn't drain away quickly so you had to turn it off halfway through and let it drain before the floor got flooded.

Room and corridor leading to it was just a little old and worn.

Couldn't fault the staff or reception area though. They were great.

Very poor for a Delta Marriott. Will be lodging a formal complaint. 2 night stay: night 1 was absolutely unbearable. Room was like a sauna, couldn’t sleep at all (and it wasn’t that it was hot outside!). Had to ask to change room, which meant packing all stuff up again. 2nd room was marginally cooler, but still a bad nights sleep. Paint chipping off bathroom door and bathrobe hooks had been screwed completely through the door and were protruding through to the room side of the door. Hallway carpets threadbare in places and fraying with gaps at joins. Lift floor had three large bubbles in it which your shoes got hung on. Only plus side was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms need aircon, or to come with a warning about temperature levels.
Very disappointing, and expect a lot more of a Marriott Hotel.

Very very poor hotel …NO AC in rooms (how is that can be?!? ) house keeping very poor ..they come and make beds a bit and that’s it didn’t even put toilet paper in toile , didn’t hoover..etc.
very disappointing…stay with two kids-couldn’t sleep so hot was …that’s was first and last time visiting this hotel

The room was fine, but it hadn't been made up for 3 people when we got in late, even though the booking was for 3 people. There was no bedding for the sofa bed and not enough pillows. I did call reception and they came right up to give us sheets, but instead of bringing enough pillows, she just took one of the pilllows from the main bed to put on the sofa bed. The room was also unbearably hot as there is no air con. Reception did let us use the gym changing rooms to freshen up after travelling, since our room wasnt ready yet and we had an event to go to. We appreciated this.

Stay was ok, but only ok, room was far too hot and no air conditioning and no fan meaning i had to sleep in sweltering heat due to being on the second floor and the window opening a massive 2 inches, fridge appeared to have been removed from the room (same for my colleague), carpets in communal areas coming up causing a trip hazard. Worst bit of the stay is that Babcock have a load of apprentices staying there who made an absolute racket every night at 10.30ish so this hotel is closer to a youth hostel than a hotel. On a positive note Rachel from the restaurant/bar was fantastic, very outgoing personable and attentive

Communal facilities with the exception of the Gym were good. The Gym had no A/C & the water machine wasn’t working.
Bathroom door in bedroom had been butchered by numerous repairs, so much so, that thr screw end for the towel hooks was protruding at eye level on the bedroom side of the door. There were sharp edges where the carpet & hard floor met in the bedroom.

When we arrived the property from the outside and inside was beautiful, clean and well kept. There was plenty of parking which was free. When checking in we got asked if we wanted to leave £50 at the reception but wasn’t told what this was for, even when asked.
The room itself was nice and clean and as expected. The shower wasn’t that great but it was manageable. The room got super hot however there was no air conditioning available or a fan from what I could see so that was a slight downfall. The television in the room wasn’t great, whilst it was a smart tv it wasn’t able to be connected to the internet making it useless which was disappointing. Overall was okay but not the best Delta hotel I’ve stayed in and will not likely stay here again

Had 2 rooms booked for my daughter’s birthday this weekend. Arrived after 3 pm on Saturday and was told the rooms weren’t ready despite the check in time being 3. Hotel was an absolute mess, food everywhere, smashed glass outside where the kids were running around and general untidy mess. Yes there was a big group in but there should have been extra staff to accommodate. Finally got to check in at around 4:15. Room was decent size so no complaints there. Headed down for dinner at around 6 to be told that the restaurant is only open for breakfast so we would have to sit in the bar. Food was poor, ordered for the street food selection and was all just Itsu packet food heated up. Only item they had from the kids menu of 6 selections was fish fingers. This was at 6 on a Saturday night so god knows what happened for the rest of the night although the lack of people in the restaraunt probably should have been an indication. Only saving grace were the staff who were serving on the bar who were all really friendly and apologetic. Definitely won’t be coming back.

You expect an element of homogenised uniformity when it comes to chain hotels, no matter which chain they are and this was no different. Being part of the Marriott group, I was hoping for a more unique feel to the place which hopes were laid to rest once I had entered the room. Everything was there as expected but it felt a little sterile like the bare minimum was yielded as far as effort went. Parking was ample and the staff were courteous and friendly. There were dining options on site and plenty of other ones nearby. I visited the gym which was adequate for my workout needs but not quite the Village brand of gyms. Was not bowled over by the cooked breakfast offering as the ingredients looked quite forlorn. Overall, when comparing to most hotels, this ones comes out quite favourably but with the Marriott branding I'm afraid I expected a lot more.

They claim to have Netflix at this property it’s not true they do not ! I have complained about this as it’s quite important to have some entertainment as the hotel is fairly remote . Breakfast is very good staff are great . Towels a bit rough . Internet is unacceptably poor. They do not have the usual Marriott digital channels for the price not good in this respect but I do like the hotel and its staff it’s just ….. boring

It would have been even better if the restaurant was a bit warmer.
The TV in our room was a Smart Samsung but with no features of a smart TV. Only very limited tv stations and no TV guide and the screen mirroring did not work

Poor sleep and poor quality of mattress

I paid £385 for two night stay in a twin room on the second floor. Sadly it was the worst 2 nights sleep I have ever experienced. The sprung mattress was of poor quality and I could feel every spring in the mattress. I experienced back ache and every turn I made during the night was excruciating. The mattress sat on a plywood base and although the hotel offered a mattress topper this made no difference whatsoever.
The hotel is apparently undergoing a refurbishment but this was not on the website when I booked.
Sadly I would not stay here again, the discomfort should be reflected in the price as my stay was not worth £385 and my back continues to ache due to the poor quality of the mattress.
Breakfast was £10 per person, which was value for money as there was a variety of hot food, cereal, pastries and drinks.

Hotel is currently being refurbished, my friends and I was given one of the new rooms, ample of room in the junior suite, spent 3 nights here due to a festival, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, wouldn’t hesitate to visit again

Uncomfortable bed noisy every time you moved, no sockets next to the bed only old style plugs for lamps, step into bathroom that stubbed toe on numerous times & the shower curtain smelt so bad.
Woken up by staff chucking bottles in bin outside then work being done on hotel so noisy drills and electric saws going from 8am.
Very dated room and was unbearably hot. Rang hotel weeks prior they said we would be able to do early check in on arrival to then not be able to have our room early.

Nice hotel, but spoiled by staff attitude

Hotel didn't seem to have details of the booking made via Hotels.com, on 3 separate occasions I was advised that breakfast was not included. I showed the hotel.com booking confirmation each time, however one member of staff said that we should have paid for breakfast but wouldn't charge us this time, and another had the bare face cheek to say that they would \"let us off on this occasion\". The attitude of the staff was condescending and there was no acknowledgement whatsoever of the error on their part

The property is having a much needed renovation. The beds are very hard, the chef didn’t turn up for the breakfast on the first day. The food in the restaurant was poor and expensive.

Was anticipating mid quality 2/3 star accommodation, found Venue of typical (Average/low cost) quality, room equally of anticipated quality so so far ok.

Booked in circa 19:30, nobody at reception and no means of alerting the staff, was eventually acknowledged and was able to book in.

While waiting discovered as the hotel was being used for a convention, as such all their was no meals available to other guests, so had to find alternative meal elsewhere/offsite in a location where this was not easy, somewhat remote as their is nothing in local area.

Returned to room very late, the first room unpleasantry was the \"ancient\" mattress/bed with presumably Brocken springs, the second the was the intermittent gurgling noise from the bathroom followed by unpleasant \"odour\".
Investigated and found \"gurgling\" to be foul smelling effluent rising from from the bathtub plughole.

The morning breakfast was also an unpleasant experience, joined approximately half way through the appropriate period so did not expect it to be empty, the servery had a very long que to the hot drinks dispenser only 2x for everybody \"1x broken\", empty juice dispensers, so essentially no drinks.

Although finding various hot plates available, most of the breakfast platters were empty, only scraps of beans, sausages, and watery scrabbled eggs available. The guests appeared to be upset by this and grabbing what scraps they could.

Decided to grab a couple of croissants and had a very disappointing breakfast.

The room was very good and the bed extra comfortable. Plenty of parking and the facilities were good.
The bar food was disappointing and only a small amount of tea and milk was provided in the rooms for a 3 day stay. But the staff supplemented us well once we asked for top ups.

Really nice stay… comfy bed and clean, seemed a bit quiet but that’s down to January I presume. Good was really lovely although server in the bar area.. this did not really make a difference. Staff were really friendly… so thankyou all for a nice stay.
