Parking was easy enough reception staff give us a nice welcome. The room was a bit dated the bar was not that good at all the beer was flat. It’s the worst pint of Guinness i had in my life and it’s so over priced.. Breakfast was great, good variety

The hotel room was adequate. Pillows were hard, and no plug points by the bed. Main light didn't work and one of the electric sockets was taped over. Room was very hot, so needed the air con on all night which was very noisy.
Bathroom had been recently renovated and shower was good.
Staff were appalling. Grudging, rude, incompetent service.

Problem at check in was quickly resolved. Firstly card key didnt work then when we gained access there was someone already using the room. Reception staff dealt with the problem quickly apologising and giving us another room and also 2 free drinks. Staff in bar/food area were very attentive.
Transport access is an issue at the moment as direct access from the M1 is unavailable. This is beyond the control of the hotel but should be highlighted when booking.

This is a lovely hotel in the quiet part of Milton Keynes despite being so close to the motorway. My only slight criticism is that some of the rooms are in need of a refresh of their furniture. The chairs in one room were scruffy and was an actual conference type dining room chair rather than a relaxing comfortable one. The breakfast was brilliant and we had more than enough choice and allergies well catered too.

Windows painted shut, air conditioning not working, no TV signal, mould on shower tray and on ceiling above shower, missing section of en-suite skirting board, slow draining shower (quick showers only or try overflows) large crack in bedroom ceiling, ill fitting carpet and banging doors. Very poor and staff not interested in listening to my compliant, still struggling to get any sense via the online App chat (which I think is AI...)

Breakfast had a good variety and food was piping hot.
We took our dog and were allowed to sit in the bar - adjacent to the restaurant - to eat breakfast.
Road at the front of hotel still dig up so you have to go a long way round to get to hotel.
Would recommend.

This property says 24 * 7 front desk. I reached this property 1am and there wasn't there. My booking date and check in date was having 2 months difference. I called this property when I booked it and they said there will be someone and at time of actual check in there was no one. Expedia came to my rescue where I was relocated to another property within an 1 hour and I loved my stay.

Very good, excellent value with 3 course evening meat and breakfast included which were both very good.
Sensible £10 charge for the dog which is much better than other Holiday Inns.
There are a lot of building works next to the hotel, but no noise in the evening and didn’t start early in the morning.

The hotel is currently rather odd to get too due to huge roadworks out of their control. The building is beautiful with loads of parking and EV charging available. Check in was smooth and the room was typical holiday inn style but just starting to show a little bit of age. Breakfast was wide ranging buffet style and all good quality. Our only complaint was the bed, it sunk into the middle and was one of the worst I've slept on. Ok for one night though. All in all a good experience just a little rough round the edges.

Came for a work trip and ask specifically for a 2 single beds. When I got into the room there was a double bed, fortunately after informing the staff they changed it for me. By the time they changed the beds it was late, therefore resulting in me to have less sleep as I had to wake up really early the next morning. The least thing you want when entering the hotel after work is someone stopping you from sleeping.

I go on a lot of work trips and I understand that hotels and the people working there do make mistakes, but the fact of the matter is that they didn’t even offer any compensation to me. When this has happened before in all previous hotels they have offered me a refund or even a free breakfast.

This really got me thinking and showed me what type of hotel this was.

I had a lovely relaxing stay. Rooms were absolutely spotless as was the rest of the hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. I only drink decaff tea and coffee which isnt supplied in the room had to ask at the restaurant for these which is a very minor issue.

This is a great stay if you are travelling up the M1. It’s just off the motorway but away from the noise, with the window open you can hear it in the distance but not a problem with closed windows, which can be an issue if you are closer.
Really comfortable bed, friendly staff. And a relaxed quiet feel to the hotel.
The only reason I gave staff 4 stars was IHG need to put more than one member of staff on in the evenings. I had to wait 10 mins for the poor guy serving behind the bar to come and check myself and another guest in, with other people waiting with queries. He was left holding the fort. Otherwise, a fab little find!

Attended Wedding Function. Fantastic building with beautiful courtyard and garden. All staff at the hotel incredibly polite and helpful, everyone wanting the best hotel experience.

The property is quite elegant but we would not stay there again as almost the entire hotel was taken over by a wedding party (apparently a very frequent occurence). We could not have dinner in the dining room but were offered room service or a meal in a draughty alcove off the lobby and were told the doors were all being kept open to allow the children to run in and out!! Fortunately we were assigned a room away from the loud band music which apparently was likely to continue until 1a.m.
When we checked out the following morning our car was covered with bird droppings but a very helpful employee, Mohammed, got buckets of soapy and cleaned it for us.

I was charged for all rooms in my group and one room was charged much higher than the booked rate. Rooms are basic and hotel very tired.
IHG need to get their act together. Hotels used to be a good standard but since civid they are really poor standards.

There were two weddings during our stay, and the reception was literally in reception and the bar and dining room were in use for the wedding which left no option for guests. There are no adjacent properties, bars or restaurants, so you have to travel to MK or Newport Pagnell itself.

Wonderful Hospitality

Hospitality was next to none. It was unfortunate that there were 3 weddings taking place at the Hotel during the weekend we stayed at the Hotel which meant that it was noisy especially the 1st night- kids running around the hotel making noises and banging on doors. After my partner complained about the noise, Sam the receptionist tried to calm the noise by getting the kids to keep quiet. The manager Jenna was fantastic - she listened to us, apologised, changed the room and arranged for a refund of the 1st night as we did not sleep well due to the noise. Breakfast was lovely and the Hostess Gabriela was very attentive with a lovely manner and smile.
Overall the stay was lovely and we will definitely stay again at this Hotel 😊

We stayed at the property for 4 days/ 3 nights while we attended the British Grand Prix. Our room was ready when we arrived and the check in staff was friendly. They informed us that there would be a wedding on the property on Friday evening. The beds were comfortable (brand new mattresses were put into all the rooms during our second day) the bathroom was fine except the shower door only enclosed the shower half way so the bathroom got soaked when you took a shower. the breakfast was extensive in the morning and included both hot and cold items. The dinner menu was limited and you had to order through an app. The wedding lasted until 1 in the morning and could be heard throughout the hotel so that was quite disruptive.

Note that the road gets busy in the morning and turning right towards Newport Pagnell is impossible. You have to go left towards the roundabout at the motorway, right round and back to realistically get going - allow an extra 5 mins.

Very impressed with cleanliness, staff, especially Dylan were brilliant. Breakfast and meals at dinner were very good and all the staff were exceptional. The room and shower were great. Stayed one night with my wife and daughter.
When we arrived at our room there were two empty beer glasses and a damp bath towel on the carpet outside the room next to us. Not a great first impression.
On entering our room there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke as though the furniture and bedding were all still there from the days when smoking in rooms was allowed.
Other than that everything was OK, friendly staff and surprisingly good food

slow check in and found they had over bookended hotel. Later checking were offered free upgraded rooms but not to early check in guests. Room was nice and clean but shower had mould in. Was stating for a function but once it was over staff were aggressive and wanted us to go to bed and not use residents bar. We were treated like children and told the only was was charging to our rooms. This was not explained earlier in evening as we were told cash bar is I operation. So lots of us had to go back to reception to set up room charging which was not asked for at checkin. Night reception was not happy at doing this - think sulking child - finally we could get drinks and coffees ! Early in the morning room cleaning tried to get in 3 hours before checkout time and woke us up !!!!! Not apology. Generally not impressed with hotel, poor service , no communication between staff, not enough staff. Doubtful if staying again

Reception staff are very helpful, however it took 2.5 hours to get a cot to our room, the first room had a broken bed, then we were woken up by a load of doors being slammed for about 25 minutes just after midnight.
Breakfast was nice, except for the poached egg we order which never turned up - we had to leave in the end.
My summary would be nice enough staff but the hotel is very tired and desperately in need of a refurb.

The bed was very comfortable, the room a decent size and mostly very clean but I have a few minor gripes.

- No plug sockets near the bed.
- Cleaners need to sweep behind the bathroom door - there was a small build up of dust and hairs.
- No heated towel rail meaning used towels don't dry.
- Shower gel and soap are in bottles attached to the wall meaning that when the shower gel ran out on the first night I couldn't just use the soap from by the sink.

Lovely & clean. But should have face flannels. There was a list in the bathroom which had things you might need. It said they had daze flannels, but when I asked for one, they can up with s hand towel & said they didn't have any & to use the hand towel instead. Which was impossible.

Friendly welcome despite the threatening signs about the car park! Room was comfy albeit a bit dusty and not enough plug sockets especially next to the bed. I used the gym, which was very small and basic and without air conditioning but better than nothing. The room was noisy from the nearby M1 throughout the night. Breakfast was adequate though I didn’t request poached eggs that never arrived. All in all the hotel was ok but I would say slightly overpriced for the service and quality.
