The staff in this hotel were fantastic, unfortunately for them, there was only 2 of them on to cover reception & bar/restaurant.

The lobby area is lovely and spacious, great for chilling in.

The room was adequate space wise, but the pillow was too soft and noisy so not much sleep was had temperature wise was also good (i dont like it too warm)

Room was clean with a small desk. Of note was the desk lamp - many hotels seem to forget that folk might need to work in the evenings. Bed very comfortable and bathroom obviously efficiently clean. Tea and coffe equipment present but sadly, no free biscuits!
The room was well sound insulated.
Breakfast was filling with a choice of full english or continental.
All in all, the place to stay in Crewe.

We did hear the guests above us during the night, but that is out of the hotel’s control and didn’t affect our overall experience.

Overall, it was a comfortable, smooth stay, and we’d happily come back.

Nice place for a short business trip. Had a tasty and well prepared dinner.

Good location for a quick lay over. Very noisy other guests in the form of boy racers waking us up at 0500 with the selfishness in driving off and then the hotels groundskeepers deciding to do some strimming before 0800 on a BH. Could be cleaner. Found dust and hair. When the sauce bottles are running low, they just refill them meaning they’re mixing old and new sauces which gave me an upset tum. They are also left out in the sun.

We spent 3 nights at the Ibis. The location is great for exploring Manchester and Chester. The room was clean and tidy, my only criticism was the room was a little dark despite having a large window. The bathroom toiletries smelt lovely. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection.

Basic room at an average price . Bathroom could have been cleaner , tap needed contstant running as popup plug didnt work properly in the small sink . A fridge would have been good but not a problem as very little time was spent in the room . Most importantly bed was clean and comfortable but needs more pillows . Hotel was lovely and quiet with decent parking and decent views from the room . Quite close to good amenities. Ideal for a cheapish weekend away

Really like this property and have stayed here multiple times now. Like the feel of the hotel, the staff and also the area. I usually choose this over closer options to where i am going the following day as i know it pretty well and exactly what i am going to get. Have previously reviewed through other sites and still remains a 10/10 for me. Eddie is always a great help and good to catch up with him, he remembered my son's milk allergy on sight.

Always a comfortable, spacious and enjoyable stay. We did have a little more time this visit too so took advantage of the fitness room which was great.

The weather wat particularly warm this time too and could have done with some air conditioning, but it want a huge issue. Great breakfast and other food / drink options and plenty of parking available too.

Will definitely be back... again!!

Good but some flaws

The hotel is a good basic hotel, few frills but competent. We were surprised that breakfast on the first day was high quality but the second day fell back to lower standard for no apparent reason. Nothing wrong with it just not as good.

The hotel does not have air conditioning so as the weather was very hot you have to leave the window open to cool the room. Unfortunately the kitchen extractor vent must have been below our room because the constant smell of fried food was very strong to an unpleasant level. This is a major flaw in hot weather.

However, there is a little complaint which refers to smoking area, although this goes for almost every hotel, airport, public space in the UK. Smoking area should be a covered space with a few seats or a table as well. In this hotel there was a space outside the restaurant with a few tables that could be used by smokers although not covered. I think it's easy to find a way to serve smokers as well and treat them like human beings that we are.

Pros: Modern and stylish, not expensive, spotlessly clean, dog friendly, staff were the friendliest we have come across on our travels and were great with our dog, you can take your dog in part of the restaurant, food was nice and not overpriced, plenty of space to take the dog for a walk, quiet area. The whole hotel was very clean. It looked lovely decorated for Christmas at the time.

Value for money

We booked this hotel due to its proximety to Crewe Train Station for a weekend break visiting friends in Manchester. The room was clean and tidy however the bed was a little uncomfortable, mattress hard and only 1 pillow provided per person with a second provided by reception upon request. We found the room temperature to be too warm even with the window open and radiator off and could hear other guests talking and smoking in the car park until the bar closed.

The first day we arrived at the breakfast buffet early and everything was well stocked and fresh however on our second day we arrived at 9am (an hour before it finished) and almost everything had run out with seemingly only 1 member of staff on duty unable to keep up with demand.

Overall our stay was good and as expected for what we paid, ideally located for the train station and just a short drive into the beautiful town of Nantwich.
