Great resort, good food. Nice to have both a hot tub and heated pool. Spa was great. Nice quiet area of South Tenerife - only a few hotels in the area so not as busy. Good beach walking and hiking in the area. Comfy beds, nice balconies.

Beautiful, well kept hotel. Spacious rooms. Huge pools surrounded by palms and gardens. Food is generally very good and there is enough variety to please most people, most nights. Half board was good value, for us, as drinks are not expensive, with nice cocktails for €7 and beer for €4. Unless you are a massive drinker or never want to leave the hotel, all inclusive is probably less good value.

The hotel is a great place to relax, catch the sun and watch the waves breaking on the rocks. There is not much to see in the vicinity by walking distance but with a car or excursions you can see more. Personally I like to stay in the hotel and the staff are outstanding, very friendly and happy to help.

Lovely hotel and great design in terms of layout, spaces, activities, spa and room design. Accommodates guests well with its capacious estate, landscape design and setting next to the sea. Responds on finer details too. Definitely a place for relaxation whilst accessible for trips into the Teide national park or to the north east La Laguna. Car hire nearby. Car park under part of hotel.

The rooms were cleaned to perfection, the food options were fantastic and the overall service from reception to waiting staff was above average. We intend to make this our yearly hotel as we felt so relaxed throughout our stay and wished we could have stayed longer

My second stay at this hotel in as many years. Food is varied and fresh, staff are pleasant, the junior suite is perfect for familes with the separate sleeping and storage areas. Lovely welcome bottle of fiz was well received. Housekeeping do a great job keeping everything spotless. Mini club was better last year but the team are friendly and welcoming. Lots of sunbeds. Separate kids pool area and zip line were great. Evening entertainment was poor in comparison to the nearby H10. Randomly the televisions came on through the night updated to reflect the next guests name.. slightly disappointing given we still had a number of hours before check out. Overall a nice stay, but room for improvement.

5 star but still very family friendly and accommodating. The staff were lovely, especially in kids clubs.

Great facilities and high quality activities for kids . They won't want to leave the complex.

We had a junior suite with lovely sea view and it was large and luxurious with a very much seperate but connected sleeping area for 2 children.

Buffet selection was great, lots of options and high quality.

I would have liked to have fresh water and coffee dispensers at all meals, rather than just breakfast. Also fresh water dispenser through hotel and pool areas... this would have given eco plus points rather than reliance on bottled water.

Playa Paraiso hotel with lovely views.

A lovely hotel with amazing staff. They are hard working and friendly. The grounds are lovely and the room I had very spacious. The food overall was very good. The hotel is very clean and pool area lovely.
Downside is the reception is dated, evening entertainment is poor with terrible singers. The 2 specialist restaurants you need to book, I could only get in 1 but to be honest I wouldn’t bother as it wasn’t great. However I would highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

An enjoyable 5 days at Roca Nivaria with our 2 year old son. It is a beautiful hotel, the staff were wonderful and we loved the pools and easy access to the beach. The nearby beach isn't particularly exciting, but still nice to be able to easily go down and swim in the waves. Same with the surrounding area - not very inspiring but enough restaurants and nice sunsets everyday! The hotel is very well set up for children, and the staff and facilities at the Kids Club were incredible. Definitely worth requesting a \"quiet room\" if you don't want to be listening to live music until 11pm every night - our first room was very noisy, but we requested to be moved after one night and that was handled very smoothly by the front desk.

The resort is very large and with that comes many benefits such as the range of fabulous pools for parents and children . The grounds are class and everywhere is kept so well. Our suite was perfect and very clean. The food was good not excellent. But there was a good range of options. Staff were very nice and helpful. The sound of the waves while sitting on your deck chair or in bed was blissful.

Everything about this hotel is comfortable. And I would highly recommend. It is great with young children for the separate pool.area and climbing area and also the kids club. The people in the kids club were great with the kids.

My husband really enjoy the tennis lesson with the coach. The rackets and balls provided by the hotel to play with yourself are rubbish and frustrating to play with.

I find it really really strange at the pool bar that they service drinks and cocktails in paper cups as opposed to nice hard plastic ones that could be reused. They are loosing a lot of business through doing this in the 2 main pool bars. Strangely though you can get those glasses in the kids pool bar.

The food at the pool bar wasnt good but like everywhere else the staff were.

There is a lovely restaurant with good healthy food and juices just one min walk from the hotel entrance.

The direct access to the beach from the hotel is claSS.

I think it also would be good if they sold their own branded water bottles and provided free water refills.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

I booked via Expedia and when you select your filters in the search, you have to put in the ages of the children. Well upon arrival, somehow Expedia sent info for under 1 for 2 children and since we flew there, we had to pay $1800 difference for 2 kids age 13 and under. Hiccup one. The dining options said there were restaurants, only one was open, book in advance and it was terrible food. The buffet was better but it was always the same thing for 3 meals a day. If the buffet was closed, there were zero options for food. All inclusive to me, as well as others, means the bars are open, snacks are readily available (not only at the one pool bar during a set time) and you get items in the room, room service etc. This was not the case. The pools were good, but don’t think there is a waiter coming around to see if you need anything. You always need your room key at meal times and if you want something from the pool bars. Many snacks are NOT included in the all inclusive. Our mini bar was not stocked every day we were there and it is only drinks. The first day there were pringles but after that- nothing. I had to make several trips down the street to the store for drinks and snacks during the days we stayed at the resort. If I had known I was going to be charged an additional $1800 upon arrival, I would have stayed at maybe the Hard Rock or a better resort, not 5 star resort anymore. You will need a car as there aren’t a lot of excursions you can do that will pick you up.

Perfect for young families. The Roniadventura section is great fun for children, with slides, climbing area, zip line and pool games. Staff at the mini club were great and can speak many languages. Lots of sunbeds with parasols, no need for the morning rush to try and secure a bed. Lots of variety at the main buffet restaurant with separate section for adults only. Kids have access to a small soft play and games room from this restaurant. Bouncy castle at night was a welcome feature for the kids too. Evening entertainment was ok, lots of singers, pianist and saxophonist. A shuttle bus runs each day to the Adrian hotel in centre of Adeje, which from there is only 5mins walk to the market (Thurs and Sat). Attentive friendly staff.
Our room was spacious and spotless.
If half board, I recommend buying a one off drinks package for the room which then gives you access to the fridge for the remainder of the stay.
No iron in the room was the only negative but you can call reception and they organise this for you. Our room was a junior suite which had the separate sleeping area for children. This was perfect with lots of storage areas. Stunning ocean view from the balcony.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay at Roca Nivaria. If you're looking for a five star resort away from the hussle and bustle of the busier areas, Roca Nivaria is for you! The resort itself is amazingly clean, staff are so attentive and friendly and the resort app makes everything so easy! Meals were amazing and we loved our visit to the spa and pools. Can't wait to return one day!

Lovely hotel although disappointed with a few things . 1. All other 5 star hotels I have stayed in would provide nice quality products in the bathroom , there was not even a shower cap ! 2. fridge in room locked and could only be used if we upgraded to all inclusive !! 3.would expect complimentary water to be replenished every day as with other 5 star hotels we have stayed in, even if it was only used to make coffee /tea. unhygienic to be filling a kettle or coffee machine from a tap in the bathroom ! However we did find the hotel to be lovely . Staff pleasant and helpful. The aqua gym instructor was fab and really encouraging , looked forward to it every day .

We just came back from our 1 week holiday there as a family. We had a wonderful time there, the foods were absolutely delicious, the spa and facilities are amazing. The hotel looks a bit tired in some area and can do with some future improvement, but the facilites, the swimming pool and the staffs, the services all made up for it!! My little boy absolutely the kids slides in the waterpark and there's also a miniclub for exhausting parents! Evening performance is quite goo. Thank you so much to all the staffs who were all very welcoming and helpful, they also went above and beyond to upgrade our room, and even sent a bottle to the room on my birthday. We totally enjoyed our stay there and were very sad to leave. We look forward to coming back soon! Mr & Mrs Lindeman

Lovely hotel, great location, but not very warming. We were travelling with 6 other friends who were staying at another hotel. This hotel would not allow outside guests to share facilities. So we all went and spent the day at the Hard Rock hotel who accepted us with open arms, and yes we had lunch and bar drinks throughout the day.

Our room was very noisy however, we got a room right above the central party area on the 6th floor, we couldn't leave the balcony door open most of the time (until around midnight, kids, talking, music, lot of activities until late hours), it was also very annoying that people smoke on their balconies. Make sure you ask for a quiet room.

The staff was very nice and helpful overall (5 stars), amenities are great, pools are clean, recommend the Spa and the Burgos restaurant, it's very nice and quiet, good fine dining spot for a change from the continental meals and crowd.

The children mini club was really good and kept our child very well entertained, giving us time to relax and enjoy the weather. Our son used to really look forward to going to the club and that speaks volumes of the staff that was accountable.
We found our stay very relaxed and enjoyed facilities.
The only thing that the hotel can work on is quality of drinks in general (the house wine with dinner was bad and cocktails also could be better). For dinner there was always variety but for me the sometime the taste was missing so I sticked with freshly grilled fish.

We stayed for a week on a half-board package in late November and really enjoyed it. There was reasonable distancing to make it enjoyable under the current conditions, both when eating and relaxing around the pool. The staff are all very friendly, and there is lots to entertain yourself with, from tennis to the spa. Even though the bedrooms seem a bit basic, you don't know this after the first day. If, like us, you simply want to relax in the sunshine for a week, you've a choice of pools and plenty of sunbeds and parasols - this is the perfect hotel for a relaxing getaway.

We just returned from an awesome vacation with my husband, two daughters (3 yo, 7 yo) and my husband's parents. We had a suite and a junior suite with the all-inclusive option. This was the perfect place for us as a couple, the kids, and elders.
Cleanliness: this place is spotless! The rooms, pools, spa, restaurants, and all amenities are super clean. Cleaning staff are very helpful and super nice.
Pools: there are two huge pools (one heated with salted water) with beautiful views of the ocean, one small pool for kids, and a water park which was the perfect place for my kids. There are life guards on duty for all pools as well. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi for adults.
Restaurants: there are all you can eat buffets that offer variety of options for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. There are also other restaurants on the property that require reservation, We were not able to reserve these restaurants because they were fully booked for the whole week.
Kids Club: the kids club was awesome! You can take your kids during the working hours anytime and stay with them while they play. Or, you can reserve child care hours and leave them with super nice and trained child care staff.
Spa: the spa is very well maintained, super clean, and includes a number of options such as a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, dry/wet sauna rooms, a huge gym, and more. You can also book massages or hair and nail services. Overall, the perfect vacation. I highly recommend this resort!

Had a fantastic 10 days at the Roca particularly due to the awesome staff. A special thank you to Frederico, Miguel and Sara for looking after our family. The waiters and waitresses were all fantastic and very attentive they all work very hard wearing a mask at all times which must be difficult in the heat. Excellent Covid protection from room cleaning to buffet service and a varied menu for dinner catering well for all dietary requirements.

Hotel staff made our stay very special- thank you all so much! Great team!! Would definitely recommend this venue.

We had a junior suite (026) and it was huge! A room for children and a room for adults, a big bathroom and a huge patio with a sea and pool view. The only part I didn't like was having to purchase a drinks package (starting at €10 to use the fridge in the room. Hotel can provide proper cots for babies.
That are 5 different pools, 3 in the main are of the hotel with sea views (1 freshwater, 1 salt water, 1 very small kids pool) and 2 pools over in the Roni Adventurer area. This area doesn't actually open until 10am so if you're there on time there's no problems with getting a sun bed.
The animation team work very hard and are very engaging. Pool towels are available. Book the zip line as soon as you arrive as is quite busy.
Halfway through our trip something changed in the buffet restaurant. It was self service buffet to start, but then turned into service by employees, which was fine, but just slowed everything up. Food quality was actually pretty good for both breakfast and dinner. Each night had a different theme. The two al-la-carte restaurants are only open a few nights each week so book these as soon as you arrive.
Kids club is open 10am to 6pm each day, baby club is open 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm. These are both still open during COVID, kids club is all outside.
Now the location, I mean, it's fine, but there's literally nothing happening around the hotel within walking distance really. I would say that if you were here B&B there's very little dinner options nearby.

In no way the quality you expect from a five star hotel.

The food is awful. The breakfast is well below average regardless of any hotel rating. Pre-made factory omelette mix and canned mushrooms. Pizza with pre cooked base.

The place are full of rules. Guards (to stop you from having fun) and signs everywhere. No inflatable toys in the big pool. No kids in the jacuzzi. No food by the sun beds. No wet swimwear in the pool bar. No short sleeves in even the cheapy buffet restaurant. Only golfers with established handicap at the mini golf. Every twenty minutes there is a message over the speakers by the kids pool that all rules must be obeyed.

The rooms are in fact quite good. Spacious and clever third bed solution for kids. Nice balcony with beautiful sea view.

The very best quality of the hotel was the cleanliness. It was clean and verging spotless all over.

The kids areas are great. The staff in the kids club are awesome! They are enthusiastic and made our near-four year old have a great time for an hour a day. The spa is also quite good. Didn’t try the treatments, though.

Most of the guests (90%?) are elderly couples that probably treasure peace and quiet. Some, like us, had kids. No couples or single friends between the ages of 20 and 50.

The hotel is dated, but it could have been a good experience with the right management, as the premises themselves are quite good.

Lovely family hotel

Roca Nivaria is a great family adapted hotel with child buffet and plastic IKEA cutlery and plates, soft play next to the dining room so kids can play whilst parents eat, free kids / baby club. There’s also a new kids adventure park that opened on site just a couple weeks ago, with a playground and a mini water park, although it should be noted the water in that pool isn’t heated so kids have to be pretty brave to face it! Would be fine in summer though. There is a big main heated saltwater pool though which is lovely.

The rooms are very spacious and they can provide bed guards / cots for kids.

Food wise we stayed half board, but frequently exchanged our dinner option for a lunch voucher for the lunchtime outdoor buffet so we could go out in the evening. This worked well for us. The food in the evening buffet was reasonably good although can get repetitive after a while. There are also two restaurants you can book (Italian and Spanish) As part of your half board or all inclusive but they were already booked up during our stay so we didn’t try them.

The hotel in general could do with some refurbishment (spa, dining room, common areas) but overall we found it good value for money and a great place for kids.

I would recommend Roca Nivaria without hesitation. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The overall atmosphere was relaxed, quietly comfortable and easy-going, not uptight like many 5 star establishments. The grounds were kept clean and well-swept at all times, and the rooms very spacious with plenty of cupboard/storage space. We stayed for a week but I wish it had been two!

This is not a 5-star hotel! The terrace overlooking the ocean is great, with wonderful sunsets. There is generous lobby space to hang out. The staff is very friendly.
BUT: Our room was spacious, but furniture and appliances were dated and unelegant. The location is in an area of low-rent mass tourism. The food is mediocre at best, and sometimes really awful. Double beds consist of two single beds pushed together. There are many petty little charges for things like games, and outrageous charges for water (EUR 6.50 per 1-liter bottle) and for the Spa (EUR 15 per person per hour).

The hotel is great for room comfort, food, location with room key leading to the black sand beach, terrace, roof deck, and service. Amenities on their page include spa, but they charge 8 or 9 euros per person. That should be disclosed ahead of time. They give you a welcome drink, but require you to get it before getting to the the hotel room - we wanted to change and refresh first. They should give you a voucher instead of telling you when to have it. Also we wanted to take up our luggage and they made us wait for service. A little too controlling for my taste as a welcome. Turn down service was inconsistent. Free bus to the beach picked us up but failed to show up on the return-had to take a cab. Beware if you are not all-inclusive: they charge you for water if you pay for your dinner only occasionally.
Most older married folks, some with with grandkids; will not ask you to dance at night at their evening's entertainment. If you are single, as I am and went with a friend, you may find ir hard to meet friendly people. Great for older families.

We had a lovely stay the hotel was lovely and despite a couple of issues with some building works the manager was happy to help and sort out the issues for us we enjoyed sitting by the pool relaxing the food was very nice the spa lovely and our room was clean and beds very comfortable all in all a great readyful break thank you

Great pools, and amazing breakfast and buffet dinners! There are two large pools, one salted heated pool, and one fresh water and freezing pool! There’s no access to the beach, and the beach is extremely rocky and non-swimmable! The hotel provides a shuttle to the city center that has lots of shops and restaurants and also has a nice sandy beach. The hotel didn’t allow a late check out, but provided a complimentary suite for taking a shower and rest. The crowd at the hotel was very well-mannered. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Lovely hotel, excellent food, beautiful pools

I booked a break at very short notice. Was lucky to be given a great room overlooking the pool. I had broken my ankle just before arrival and was very grateful to the staff for all their help. We went for half-board option. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. The room furniture was slightly dated. However the bathroom looked to be recently refurbished and had separate shower and bath, and twin sinks. Would love to stay again sometime!

Was lovely. Just a couple of things. No boiling water for tea. Water offered was warm at best. Entertainment was pretty poor given this is, a five star hotel. Lovely room and facilities otherwise. We were robbed by Romanians in Adehe. The hotel should be warning of this.

Nice hotel in a quiet area

Everything was great, food, services, room, swimming pool but the hotel is placed outside of cities with beaches. If you want only to relax you can stay at the hotel, but if you want to have fun and shopping and be near by beaches you have to go at least 30 mins by bus from this hotel.

Ali see four poster beds are superb

Choose from sea view with private entrance or pool side location. Pools are wonderful especially silly the infinity pool view. Food delicious and amity suite blows you away. Hotel opposite the Hard Rock Cafe is a super hotel too as played lots of great music if this one is not available

Good hotel with great facilities in quiet location

We had a very pleasant stay in this 5 star resort however I would rate over all as a 4.5 star. None the less it was an excellent stay and would recommend. There are a couple of things which are superior- the kids facilities, the food, the views, the size of the hotel and its gardens and pools. There are also however a couple of niggles which we had, these were the charge for half board customers to use their fridge (which is locked) and you have to purchase a drinks plan to get access, this is only 10 euros for some water but other hotels provide this for you. The sunbed situation is another gripe. Not sure now you would get around folks reserving their plots and not using it. Also we reserved a Bali bed for a few of 40 Euro which was lovely. However we went out to sit on it at 10am and it wasn't made. We had to make it ourselves and had to ask someone for our water and fruit etc an hour later as no one had come to ask us what we wanted. Not one person came by and asked us if we wanted any further drinks etc. We were on bed 8. The water we got included in the package was warm and the fruit scewers were served on a saucer and were very small. Not great! Apart from that we really enjoyed the hotel, used the great spa and loved the evening entertainment and kids club facilities. The food was great and varied and staff helpful. We have stayed at serveral top quality hotels around Europe and this was on par with some but they do need to up their game in some minor areas
