Palmar Hotel is situated in a prime area, with easy access to attractions, Johannesburg City Centre and entertainment areas such as Emperors Palace, OR Tambo International Airport, Total Ninja Amusement Park in Stoneridge and many other places of entertainment. Our guests do not stay with us, they live with us hence Palmar Hotel staff are trained to greet our guests in a warm and professional way, being responsive to guests needs and providing prompt and helpful assistance always.
Our rooms aim to create a warm and cozy atmosphere through decor and lighting to make the guests feel at ease. The rooms are self-catering so that guests prepare their own meals in the comfort of their rooms and reduce the spend per guest on food, creating a home away from home experience.
Our 2-bedroom Apartments accommodates 4 people per room whilst the 1 Bedroom Apartment accommodates 2 people per room. The guests have a choice of a shower and a tub in some rooms whilst others have showers only.
We have a well-designed outdoor space with beautiful landscaping to elevate the hotel's visual appeal to create a lasting impression.

Overall wonderful room with kitchenette. Our room was on the ground floor which did not offer as much privacy to leave the curtains or door open but it was convenient being close to the pool. We were welcomed by a very friendly host on the first day prior to our checkin when we inquired if we could check in early. However the next day when we came to check in the lady at the front desk was rude and not at all keen on making our experience enjoyable. We still had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

I loved this hotel! I wish I could live here. The attention to detail is impeccable and the property is stunning. Beautiful architecture, beautiful and tasteful design, everything is so aesthetic! The rooms were clean and well organized. The beds very comfortable, the bathroom clean, the kitchenette was perfect. There was filtered water in the room, a recycling bag and even a compost bucket! Really they have thought of everything. The pool is beautiful and there is plenty of space to lounge even though this is a small boutique hotel. Foot washing station when you come in from the beach, shower by the pool and bathroom with a shower near the pool. Oh, and a yoga loft upstairs for guests. Amazing! Seriously, if I could live here, I would!

The least favorite hotel in San Pancho that we stayed in and we've stayed in several. The location is fine, the hotel has a nice tropical feel to it but the room was not clean, the walls had stains on them, the bathroom shower had stains and overall the place felt unkept and was unpleasant. There were ants all over even with no food out, loud party people waking us up at 2am and a staff that seemed like they didn't want to be bothered. The construction across the street went on until way past 5-6pm which made it virtually impossible to go back to the room to get some rest before dinner only to start back up again early in the am. Will never go back and never recommend it to anyone. Rooms need a serious paint job and bathrooms need deep cleaning.

The rooms were super cute and comfortable with great amenities; including a fridge even in the smaller rooms and an outdoor area off from the living space. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. I stayed in two different rooms during my sta. A bigger room with the kitchenette was just as spectacular as well as the smaller room. Very spacious and clean. I will def stay there again when I come back.

We loved our stay at the Pal Mar. The location is perfect, close enough to walk to the beach and the Main Street in town. I reserved the suite and it was spacious (the bedroom was, the bathroom is tiny) and decorated so lovely. The kitchenette was fully stocked and you could easily prepare your own meals there if desired. The staff was amazing and so polite and helpful. We used their foldable beach chairs every day and saved some money from having to rent the chairs already on the beach. The bed was comfortable, ceiling fans and AC worked well and we loved our little patio area. Even the little wooden box that held our room

I think the rooms towards the back would be much quieter than ours was. Also, there are no televisions in the rooms (just FYI - not a big deal but thought I’d mention it so you’d know).
We would definitely stay here again but would suggest a room towards the back of the property next time.

I really liked my stay. By the end of the my stay tho i was over the bugs crawling inro mg room. From under the doors. And the ants attacking anything you place down for 5 minutes. The standard room is a bit on the small size. But it works for a solo traveler. The reception was super helpful and the pool was great.

We had a lovely time at Pal Mar. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous, incredibly tranquil and relaxing. The room was so artistic and clean, and we loved our private patio area. Conveniently located, very close to the market, beach, restaurants and shops!
