Close to the water, entrance in square, good breakfast, staff is helpful, little loud at night in the square. Very touristy area. Best restaurants to eat at are La Crispeta and Restaurante Fondillon. Everything else is just very touristy.

Worst bed I've ever slept in. Mattress was as hard as a rock. Also hotel couldn't provide me with gluten-free breakfast apart from some wrapped pastries and breadroll. So i had no access to continental or cooked food despite having prepaid for it based on ad.

The property is nice but needs some updating and maintenance. My room had a crack/ hole in the corner of the floor. I booked a twin room and one of the beds kept sliding around and had a loud creaking noise when we would sit on it.

It’s a clean hotel located conveniently in the old city of Alicante. But, their towels were old and beaten up. They charge €3 for a paper-packaged water with the hotel name on it in the fridge. That kind of water is usually free in any hotels I know. But, what can we expect? It’s a cheap hotel, trying to maximize revenue… Get better and cheaper brand name water from Carrefour across the plaza.

I travel a lot and I will write reviews when I hope that it will help other travellers.
This hotel has a good location. It is close to many attractions and has a nice roof top patio with beautiful views of Fortress St Barbara.
But, that is about it. And the unfortunate part is that there are numerous hotels within a stones throw of this hotel, so the good location can be achieved at other hotels.
Now for the negatives. The biggest negative was the odour. There was consistently a sewage smell that would occur at various times in the day. We would try to resolve this by opening the window, but there was a homeless person living directly below our window and he smoked frequently. He was close enough that you could smell his smoke in our room. There was also a pair of ladies underwear on the stairs. This is fine, but they were there for 3 days, which makes you wonder how frequently is this place being cleaned. When selecting a hotel/room I spend a considerable amount of time searching. The room I selected on the Expedia website did not match what we were given.
We were in room 101. We stayed at this hotel for 8 days. As stated earlier, we travel a lot and we are not fussy, but I would advise that you can find a better place than this property.

The Hotel was fantastic, right in the Town Hall Plaza. Central for everything. All the staff were happy and helpful. The room was excellent too, we were overlooking the plaza and had a balcony. Breakfast was really good. Both requests made at the time of booking were met. Would definitely recommend.

Location was great and staff was excellent. Marvelous rooftop bar. Breakfast was expensive but there are many options nearby. Only issue was that there are two small elevators and one was not working on two of the days. The staff was very helpful and apologetic and directed us to the service elevator but there were still lineups. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was in the perfect location whereby you could walk to any where you wanted. Staff were very friendly and on hand with everything. The only downside is that the room had no heating and it did get chilly but they were able to provide addition covers. I would definitely book again if I was to go back to Alicante

Fabulous hotel overlooking the square and with a view of the castle.
Room was comfortable and very clean with fab views and a little balcony
Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice.

Stayed here for 1 night. Location is perfect with lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
Hotel is clean throughout. Room was clean although there was a slight musky smell at times in the room. Heating worked in the room. No toiletries but there were shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the shower. Breakfast was ok, provided lactose free milk as well. Small selection but enough to get you through the morning. Croissants, scrambled egg bacon, pastries , cereal, some meats and cheese . Staff were friendly.
I dont think the rooms are sound proofed as i could hear the room next door late at night. Also people did bang the doors when closing. But it was a nice stay. Very comfortable and clean and safe

We loved our stay in this hotel. Rooms were clean and in excellent condition. Hotel is in an ideal location - close to the marina and lots of amazing restaurants. The breakfast spread was also really good.
One thing I would say is that it would be great to get a kettle and some tea making facilities in the room too.

This is an old-style European hotel, which is what we were looking for.
It is located on the main piaza opposite the town hall. Many events took place in the square while we were there.
There are 2 cafes on the square, and many great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The waterfront is 5 minutes walk away, as is the beach.
Breakfast was great. We stayed a week, and there was enough variety that we got to explore many treats.

We went there while they cancelled our booking they night before, then they turned to us we are fully booked now and we can send you to our partner. They sent us to another hotel which was named as eurostar. Both were clean but unfriendly staff and cold behaviour. Even not a good hi or goodbye. Ae asked for tea they said we don't have tea at this hotel. We just spent the night there for easy access to the airport in the morning. Not really recommand if you want to enjoy alicante

The hotels main selling point is the great location ,however we would not class this hotel as 4 star in our opinion ,no lobby area as such no cafeteria , no bar.just one settee to sit on .The location is perfect for the restaurants ,old town beach ,transport links.The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull .........having said the above comments we enjoyed our stay in Alicante but would not stay in this hotel if we’d came again ......tip ..... airport bus c6 from in front of.Melia hotel 3 euros 80 cents

Everything was good the first 3 nights. The fourth we had no AC throughout the hotel. We payed 120€ for a room with no AC on the last night like in a 2* hotel and no chance of a partial refund.

Hotel is central we had superior rooms looking on to the square rooms were clean spacious and very nice staff were nice breakfast was pure depending when you came down we came down on the first morning no bread no butter no glasses and on our last day there was no egg we asked for some and when we put it on the plate the smell was terrible on our last night we never got to sleep until 4.30 am ish as the noise coming from the square was horrendous and this was on a Thursday night we were leaving at 8.30 am to fly home wasn’t ideal

The hotel was good overall, however the room was very dark, and the lighting inadequate. Staff were really good and helped with information about the town. Being A coastal resort, there was noise from the square in the early morning ( 3.00 - 4.00am) thanks to youthful party goers... which had a detrimental effect on good sleep. This was however outside of the hotel’s control, and is more the responsibility of the local Council ....

The Hotel is perfectly fine for what it is. A well located comfortable shorter stay centrally in Alicante, near the nightlife and the Beach. It is not a luxury hotel and it doesnt provide meaningful amenities more than a good room and location. The breakfast was good and the rooftop terrace is a nice addition.

Ideally located both for the beach and exploring the town. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the rooms were well appointed and very clean. The little touches in the lobby like the apples and the vat of fruit infused water to refresh and hydrate yourself were much appreciated I would come here again.

Location, Location, Location.

The Location was perfect. Set in a beautiful Square beside the local Town Hall. Bus, Taxi, Shops, Cafes, Restaurants, all close by. The Promenade, with ample seating, was a must for ALL ages to
parade along in the sunshine. The City has a relaxed and friendly feel about it, with great respect
afforded to the older generated.
Staff at the Hotel were young, friendly and very helpful. The Hotel, may have been converted from
apartments, as the Foyer, Lift and Corridor space was small. Gym, Sauna and Breakfast was good.
The room was clean and quite spacious, and all you require for a City break, but overall it lacks a more modern appeal to want to book it again in the future.

The hotel and location great. Beautiful views from the rooftop.
Impossible to sleep in room due to high level of continuous noise from the street which started from about 12:30am until 4am on most nights. Pity as this is one thing that would stop me staying here again
