The room was very small but quite clean and we have no complaints except for one major one. The shower. There was not enough water pressure and on occasion it would go hot and cold. Also, the mechanism to switch from the handheld to the rain shower was almost impossible to work. It required using a washcloth and two hands and a lot of effort just to change it. One of the worst showers we’ve ever had in a hotel. For this reason alone, we would not be back.

The hotel was mordern, clean and my room was spacious with a nice view of the Basilica Santa Maria and some of the Castle.
The reception staff were welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is situated in an area where you can walk to most places and good transport links.
I would definitely stay there again

I chose this hotel based on other reviews - I think I might have been reading a different hotels reviews! I booked a superior double room with a balcony. There was nothing superior about this room. It was very small with a double bed and a very large fold out bed which I didn't request. The room was tired and we had ants in the bathroom. The rooftop terrace was closed and breakfast was served around the corner in a little tavern, Actually breakfast was probably the best thing about our stay.
There was also construction/demolition next door. When I went out on the balcony there were men on a lift chipping away at the bricks, quite awkward!
Parking was awful too, we were told that they have a private car park just up the hill, if that one was full then we needed to use the public lot about 10 mins walk away. So we unloaded our cases took them to the room and then tried to find parking. Their private lot is for 6 cars only! Found the public parking and parked there for 2 days. The hotel will stamp your parking ticket so that you get a discount when you collect the car BUT we were not told about the cameras in the Town and the daily fees for driving through the Town until we checked out. €70 a day fine for driving up to the hotel and unloading. Thankfully we had a nice lady checking us out that mentioned this, she took our license plate and added it to the system and said that we should now be OK!! It would of been nice to told this when we checked in. Overall not a great stay!

The hotel location is very central and quiet since the traffic is very limited since it's a restricted area. The hotel is in a good condition and the double room I had was on the 3rd floor with a small balcony facing the little square where there's a church. The hotel has a terrace where breakfast is served and it was nice to go there a few times to work with my laptop from there.
My expectations were not high since it's a 2-star hotel but I liked being there for 8 nights.

Excellent location, close to the beach, bus and tram stops and many bars and restaurants. Hotel and room is very clean and well maintained. Staff very helpful and friendly. The room we had was a bit smaller than expected, however we didn't spend a lot of time in it anyway. No safe in the room. I Disappointed that the rooftop bar wasn't open while we were there as that's one of the reasons we booked it. Overall a great little hotel.

Lovely Small Hotel

I enjoyed my stay here. It's right in the old town next to Alicante's oldest church and 5 mins walk from the beach. It was warm enough in January to eat breakfast outside. I was in a single room and pleased to see I had a fridge which is very beneficial for hot weather. They have a roof terrace with views of the castle but that was closed in January.

We loved the location and the many updates that the hotel offered. We are Canadians who have travelled to Europe before and understand that rooms are not as large as at home and amenities are slightly different. Very easy to walk to the beach, to public transportation (C6 bus to the airport is 5 minutes away), and many nearby dining options. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Firstly the price for a central location was fantastic. The comfort “A” rooms are much nicer than standard with nice big rooms and bathrooms and have lovely sunny terraces. However some tiles were loose and wallpaper peeling, no coffee machine just kettle. Beds are comfortable enough but not luxurious. Area is central although it’s quite a lonely walk at night and with no reception at night either. The roof terrace bar with amazing views was not open for drinks or food neither was the terrace for breakfast which was disappointing. Breakfast is served round the corner in the cafe which was €10 and very good value. Hotel staff are very functional but don’t go out of their way to help you, but then I didn’t need anything. Overall good value but I’d probably book elsewhere next time.

Perfect hidden gem

A hidden gem. Gorgeous clean hotel in a perfect location. Just a few mins walk from the Puerto del Mar bus stop coming from the airport. Stunning views of the basilica and castle and 3/5 mins from the beach. Excellent breakfast and although the bar wasn't opened on the rooftop bar (December), staff told us we were welcome to go up with our own food & drink. Views were stunning. We'd a fault with our a/c and as it was chilly, staff immediately produced a large radiator that was just perfect. The room also had a fridge and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Everything was perfect in our triple room (143).

Nice little hotel in a quiet location

The hotel is small, which is a plus and not at all in your face. The rooms are nicer than the reception and common areas suggest.

Located on the edge of the old town and in a very quiet location. Very little traffic. Some of the rooms overlook Plaza Santa Maria and Basilica de Santa Maria. Again, nice and quiet. Except for the bells toll. But they stop at night.

It’s a 5 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Alicante. And well located if you’re getting the airport bus.

There are a couple of small restaurants in the square that open in the evening and a nice little Brazilian tapas bar, Sampa Picnic, on the steps which is open all day. Nice guys who worked there and a good place to sit in the shade and grab a beer and some food.

The superior double room I had was a decent size and clean and had a small balcony. You could only stand on it. No room to sit.

Comfortable bed and clean and bright bathroom.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. I had an issue with my electricity but they dealt with it swiftly.

Noisy Hotel, no sleep

We booked 2 nights, 1st was a Saturday for a 1 bed apartment (A02) Apartment was below ground floor of reception, was 2 levels, bedroom level/living same level as public flight of stairs and roadway below, kitchen and dining was basement with tiny high windows and closed shutters (no natural light), felt like a cave. Virtually no sleep 1st night, worst hotel stay in decades and I have stayed at over 30 nights past year. Contacted Hotels.com at breakfast, advised them we couldn’t stay a second night with no sleep and to please contact hotel to ask for refund for second night. Within minutes, had this confirmation, so a big thank you to Hotels.com for awesome action. Checked out and booked another hotel closer to next destination. Reception at hotel were very efficient and pleasant to deal with, especially the lady who assisted us on checkin and checkout. However, lady server on rooftop bar/restaurant last Saturday evening, was surly and clearly didn’t like her job, she is not doing the hotel any favours. Also, I believe there are 3 bars at the bottom of the hotel building that serve customers till 1 am. If the hotel controls these spaces, they should reevaluate, as the rest of the hotel rooms are surely impacted by them to the early hours, as confirmed by a staff member to me. I spoke to another guest at breakfast who also complained about the noise.

Bed was very comfortable with extra pillows etc in wardrobe. Room was spotless and apartment had everything necessary for cooking plus washing up liquidand tea towel. Only Spanish channels on tv but comfortable seating area and table for meals. Bathroom spotless and shower excellent. Refilled shampoo, soap etc in bottles on wall and plenty of toilet paper although poor quality. We had no issue with outside noise or bells. Rooftop bar was rally lovely, smoking area very separate and kept clean. Hotel itself ideally placed for all attractions and just a few mins from bus stop for airport. All in all highly recommended and with lovely staff too.

We both enjoyed the venue location and excellent staff
The room apartment with balcony was spotless and spacious
The term \"balcony\" was misleading as the doors opened to a small \"ledge\" which we were unable to sit outside on
There are apartments with \"terraces\" with space for table and chairs
The view of the city was limited to a building and roof tops
The roof top bar was stunning including ambiance food and drink
Th e staff sorted out an electrical problem in our apartment promptly and gave us a complimentary breakfast and a birthday box of chocs fir the inconvenience

Hotel La Milagrosa is an excellent stay if you are in Alicante. Beach and Esplanade is a 5 minute walk away with great bars and restaurants all in walking distance. Staff were super friendly the rooftop bar was amazing!

I like the location of this hotel as it is in old town but also very close to the marina. However, all the positive ends there. The room was very small as well as the bathroom. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it, I am afraid. Friday through Sunday, you won't be able to sleep until 4 am as the hotel has a rooftop bar and it is extremely noisy. The staff working at the bar was so noisy themselves, cleaning after the last service, which takes over an hour and goes until 4 am. It was a horrible experience and hotel admin is aware of this and they do nothing. Zero professionalism! Pay a little more and stay at a decent, quiet hotel.

The hotel itself is basic. The room I stayed in was completely white, no kind of decoation at all, which wasn't great but it's not the most important thing. It was very clean, which is very important. The breakfast was very good. The hotel has a rooftop bar/ breakfast area which overlooks, literally, Alicante Cathedral and you can look up to the castle. The front desk was good, they spoke both my languages, Italian and English. The two major selling points of this hotel are the price and the location. Price wise, it's very good, there's no denying that. Location wise it's outstanding. You are in the old town, at the foot of the way up to the castle. You are less than five minutes walk from the beach and pier. You are 5-10 minute walk from the centre of town. You are on the doorstep of the cathedral. You can't get a better location.

Excellent location, breakfast was amazing (lots of options including hot food), especially on a nice morning and sit outside.

Unfortunately our apartment had a few issues - socket hanging out of the wall in the bathroom(!), broken chair, oven that when getting up to temperature tripped the breaker and we were suddenly left in darkness!

We were told to make sure nothing else in the apartment was plugged in! So you could use the oven if all lights and other appliances are off I suppose?

Other sockets were fragile, so scared to pull on plugs too hard.

No draining board for washing up.

Hot water runs out quickly, enough for one person to have a shower, though was nice shower.

No oven gloves or tea towels.

Stayed here number of times in basic rooms, often pre flights- always v good. This time -2nights, in 'superior room ', the accommodation and service was substandard. Awful room- very noisy immediately below roof top bar with music and shouting until 12.30 at night. Claustrophobic room with bed directly in front of bathroom- door not closing properly and constant bad smell from bathroom plumbing! No air in room, window looking out onto narrow inner space between 4 sides of the property and the windows of other rooms contained on 3/4 floors- perfect for dank air and noise tunnel effect from rooms& the bar just above our room on 3rd floor. Major construction also ongoing on floor immediately below-9 to 5 constant noise/drilling- not mentioned when booking or on checking in. Also 2 free drinks included for each day when we booked- Voucher provided for first day only. When using voucher at roof top bar were made to feel like we were applying for welfare, and extremely rude when we queried availability for each of two days stay. Also overcharged for 2 additional drinks purchased... on complaining to front desk staff , we were told she would have to speak to the manager the next day.. If you resent providing this perk don't include it in the booking, it will prevent a problem for all involved! Also, seems the rooftop bar is more important than a room u can sleep in. Positives, good location and breakfast.

People are nice. Great beverage and roof top. Room was missing blankets and toilet late to ask staff. Locations is great but need taxi or car. Limited parking.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Within walking distance of the beach, the marina, two art museums, bike hire shops, the tram and the airport bus. It was right in the centre of the old city. The breakfast on the terrace was lovely with a good choice. We were there as a couple in one of the apartments which was well equipped and roomy. The whole hotel was kept immaculately clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially when we checked in after midnight. I would stay there again.

Room was clean nice bathroom and shower
The Breakfast was awful bacon and sausage cold and greasy scrambled eggs cold and rubbery every morning
Staff offered to microwave which would have been unacceptable
Very nice rooftop terrace
