We spent a few nights at Alegria Maripins in August as a couple on all inclusive basis.
The room was clean and extremely spacious with balcony overlooking the pool and sea view, too. Rooms were cleaned daily, too, by lovely housekeeping staff. The hotel is right on a promenade but the town itself is not as busy as we expected (few restaurants, no taxi).
The pool is very small for the size of the hotel and whilst mostly fine, there was a day when all the beds were taken by 10am (one off).
The all inclusive restaurant- definitely not the best I’ve been to. Some meals were tasteless, selection of chips daily and very few signs with identifying the dish- chicken paella changed into pork mid-service without a change of tag- which we were very unhappy with! On occasion there was a queue to even get into the restaurant- we gave up 10 mins later and ate out.
Two bars by the pool on different levels, even though one closed randomly for a few hours a day. Staff was lovely, but in general cannot give this hotel a higher rating.

This is a really fun place to stay. It's close to the beach and sits on a boardwalk with a bunch of weird shops and some good restaurants. The buffet was good, and my kids loved the variety. The room was big and clean. The staff was very helpful as well. You do have to park off-site if you don't want to pay for parking, but it wasn't a problem at all. We will stay here again when we return to Spain!

Rooms need updating, many overheard complaints at reception and for a 4* I’ve never seen such a poor food selection. The look of guests faces said it all. Disappointing.

Just all in all a good room and service, only complaints is that i asked for a triple room with a double bed and a single and instead got 3 triples, also very unique design with an open shower however not appropiate if travelling with family. All in all good hotel with amazing amenities, gotta try the breakfast buffet!

Location was good with beach a stones throw away and rooms were kept clean. However food was cold and bland so we ate out a lot.. breakfast was a bit better than evening meal. When we checked in there were no towels in the room and spilt ice cream from the last guest on the balcony. We were told we had to move rooms mid stay then given the wrong key several times necessitating running up and downstairs 3 times late at night with a young child. Then the next morning when we eventually did move we were told we didn’t have to after all and we had to return to the original room. Such a faff and staff weren’t helpful. Electricity went out one night too.. Check in also took forever and it seemed there was constantly a huge queue at reception so it was tricky to get the multiple issues we had resolved. Very small amount of food on offer for a large number of guests meant it was always cold by the time you queued up/waited for everything (microwave was there for this purpose which said a lot) and the staff started clearing food away 15 mins before end of service times and actually pointed at their watches and told a group of elderly women to leave at 10am etc. very rude. We found Meal times were awful to be honest with the lack of tasty warm food and queues and general
Hectic feeling of it all. Felt sorry for AI guests. Location was great but any hotel along the long sea front had the beach etc, wouldn’t recommend this hotel sadly, in our opinion it was not 4 star quality.

Prior to arrival I requested a double bed and got 2 separate beds. I asked the reception for king sheets and they quickly came and made one big bed for us. I appreciated that. Bed was comfortable, and room was clean. The view from the room was awesome. Lunch and dinner are ok, could have been better. Think it would have been better if they cooked more regional meals. Staff was super friendly and professional, and there was entertainment every night. Overall we had a great stay.

We have now stayed at this Hotel 3 times it is very modern inside and spotless the pool area is ideal and plenty sunbeds on two levels only issue on this visit was that the promenade outside the front had all been ripped up and was under construction but we heard no noise or disturbance so I would not let this put people off as in a couple of months it will be finnished and it is the first section to be done so it should be amazing.

Perfect Hotel (but read payment comments)

Nothing to add that you will find in other reviews. Had a great stay but..….check and check again about the payment of the invoice. First time I have booked with Expedia and my contract gave me a cost in euros and the conversion rate in sterling. Nothing too complicated about that, however when the final cost was taken from my account it included an \"Exchange Rate Mark-Up of 4.75%\" I have queried this with the Hotel and Expedia and they show no interest other than telling me it's not their concern. I tried to pay the total amount quoted before I stayed but it was not allowed. Clearly, based on the experience with this hotel (and Expedia) they are now on my black list. The \"Retail Dispute Team\" of my bank have withheld the payment and tell me that this is \"wrong\" and it will be sorted. We all spend time abroad, in Hotels, and generally without this problem. I say again \"CHECK & CHECK\" again because this is a one-off that I have not experienced before and if it happens to you far too much time will be needed fighting your corner

Stayed here when over for the Spanish Grand Prix. Well situated, Rooms very spacious and comfortable beds. Staff are excellent and went out of their way to give me directions to the race course. Food wasn't always the warmest but I always got something to suit the pallet. Overall a nice hotel and I would go back again.

Lovely hotel directly opposite the beach, which is accessed by an underpass. The rooms are very small, with a large modern shower room. The hotel is immaculate throughout & the rooms are modern. The food was of good quality, although not a great deal of choice for vegetarians. Breakfast had a huge choice of food, including strawberries & pink champagne, cooked breakfast, yoghurts, breads, fruits & cold meats. There are a large amount of shops and some restaurants on the street outside the hotel & you can walk along to santa susanna. Malgrat itself is a bit scruffy, but the beach was clean. Lovely hotel for a decent price & would definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel stay, highly recommended!!!

Our stay was really good. We enjoyed every minute of it! The location of the place is strategically placed, accessible to shops, restaurants, train and most of all walking distance to the beach.

The hotel buildings are behind the shops in the pedestrian area and there's a small clean alleyway going towards the reception. The hotel was clean inside and out. The staff were very nice, pleasant and helpful.

The facilities were good too. Their entertainment and bar area were sociable too. We've met people from the UK, everyone seemed to be enjoying and relaxing themselves.

While we were there, we've explored Barcelona and Tossa de Mar which were withing 2 hours travel from the area. Combined tickets could be bought from the Rodalies train station.

I highly recommend the hotel, we've been treated like a valued customer. On our last night, they celebrated Tourist Day, sangria and cava are offered for free the whole dinner. They served special dishes too.

Only thing that didn't make us comfortable was the bed, it was 2 single beds instead of a double bed. We didn't make a big fuss out of it because the whole experience was good anyway. It could have been mentioned to the staff.

Overall experience, highly recommended hotel.

Only slight downside is the all inc starts at 11am.....so no fresh coffee or bottled water given to guests.

Das Hotel hat den Zugang über die lebendigste Straße des Ortes/Strandpromenade. Trotzdem hört man davon nahezu nichts. Die Klimaanlage auf dem Nachbargebäude und die Springbrunnen im Pool überdecken überdecken akustisch fast alles. Das Objekt ist renoviert, aber man merkt, dass es ein älteres Gebäude ist. Schmale Treppen und Aufzüge, die Balkonbrüstungen aus Glas und Aluminium, die nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend sind. - Aber nichts, was den Landesdurchschnitt unterschreitet. Egal, welche Hotelkathegorie. Das Hotel ist sauber, abseits gelegen und doch mitten drin, die Bedienungen sind trotz Hochsaison durchgehend freundlich (deshalb bitte nicht ärgern). - Ich würde jederzeit wieder hinfahren.

Hotel para extranjeros con tres estrellas de más, lo bueno: Ubicación, limpieza en general... bien.
Lo malo: horarios de comidas, el buffet penoso, muy poca variedad y mal cocinado, un buffet hecho para chavales extranjeros con pizza, ensaladas cutres y pasta que da pena verla, sin contar con las lentejas de la cena que valen para asfalto del pueblo. El desayuno penoso, mucho fiambre, el café... malísimo y el zumo de naranja era agua teñida, para limpiarse los intestinos viene muy bien. Una pena con la pasta que vale el hotel.
Fui con buenas expectativas y salí defraudado .
Ni volveré, ni lo recomiendo a nadie a no ser que vayan estreñidos. Suena a broma pero da mucha rabia.
He viajado mucho y nunca había comido peor que aquí, no suelo poner reseñas negativas pero este hotel se lo merece.
Que sigan yendo la chavalería alemana.

Accueil pas agréable . Nous leur avions informé une bonne semaine avant de notre arrivée le dimanche au lieu du samedi . Elles ne nous ont pas cru sur le moment(on leur a montré le jour et l'heure à laquelle nous les avons appelé) et voulaient annuler notre réservation! Pas cool! Par contre la facture était déjà prête à notre arrivée et avons quand-même payé le jour absent. Bémol aussi les jeunes hôtesses ne parlent ni français ni espagnol.
Hôtel très propre..rien à dire _ pas trop de choix pour la demi pension (viandes poissons) desserts vraiement pas terribles et dernière nuit pas de climatisation que nous avons signalé.
Hôtel bien situé, un grand parking pas loin gratuit avec des places, ça c est bien.

Nous avons été un peu surpris à notre arrivée: on nous dit que nous n'avons pas de dé réservation ? En fait notre chambre avait été donnée à une autre personne qui n'avait pas réservé, ce qui noius fait douter sur le sérieux de cet hotel. la suite s'est mieux passée: belle chambre salle bain avec douche italienne. repas du soir et petit déjeuner très corrects, parking à proximité.

Keine Katastrophe, das Laminat ist aufgequollen, der Klorollenhalter ist so wackelig und krumm, dass die Klopapierrolle ständig runter fällt. Dann wurde versucht, den Klopapierrollenhalter wieder zu befestigen und dabei wurde wohl eine Wasserleitung beschädigt, so dass ständig aus der Wand Wasser heraus lief und den Boden durchnässte.

Gute Handwerker sind in Spanien Mangelware

Hotel overfyldt, kun 1 lille pool til hele hotellet. Man står i kø til alle måltider. Restaurant ligner en frokoststue fra en arbejdsplads.
Ok værelser med ok udsigt. God Beliggenhed tæt på byen, men byen er overfyldt med alt for mange turister. Hotellet har 4 stjerner, men er efter min mening kun 2 stjerner værdigt.

Personnel au bar excellent surtout manuel, réception à l’écoute mais malheureusement pour se faire comprendre on doit prendre le traducteur sinon rien a dire au niveau de la réception , pour ce qui est de la restauration aucune organisation attente 1/2 heure pour accéder au restaurant repas répétitif et froid et surtout pas aimable le personnel, ménage pas correct terrasse jamais faite en 15 jours lit pas fait correctement et la femme de ménage en 15 jours nous a jamais remis de verre ni de produit de toilette du jamais vu. Pour ma part je n’y retournerai plus dans cette hôtel

Hôtel bien situé juste en face de la plage. Un chemin de fer est à traverser mais de nombreux passages sont disponibles. Par ailleurs, la gare n’étant pas très loin, le train passe à faible vitesse donc pas très bruyant.
Le personnel de l’hôtel est très agréable et souriant . Les repas en demi-pension sont corrects. Un petit bémol quand même sur les cuissons des poissons et viandes.
Enfin, l’isolation phonique entre les chambres ainsi que les couloirs est inexistante. Surtout lorsque les vacanciers n’ont pas de respect envers les autres.

de airco was ( nog) niet geactiveerd, volgens manager kon dat niet. Dit moest centraal geregeld worden.
De watervallen van de de zwembaden gingen 24 uur per dag door hierdoor had je ‘snachts zo’n kabaal dat je van ellende de balkondeuren maar weer dicht deed met gevolg een snikhete kamer.
De staat van de badkamer is aardig gedateerd en vol met schimmels.
Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en ook het eten is goed, genoeg variatie

Cet hôtel vend du mensonge, chambre réservée pas du tout conforme à ma demande, la vue sur mer s'est transformée sur les poubelles, ramassées en plus à 5h30 du matin ce qui nous a réveillé. Un seul ascenseur, est tombé en panne pendant mon séjour, 5 étages à monter à pied. Le lendemain il a refonctionné et je l'ai pris avec la dame de ménage qui s'est arrêté à 2 étages, l'un pour prendre son caddie, l'autre pour en descendre. Donc 2 arrêts avant d'atteindre le 5ème. La dame de l'accueil antipathique et de mauvaise foi, sans compter que personne ne parle français. Seules les personnes de la restauration étaient aimables. Hôtel qui accueille beaucoup de groupe de jeunes donc très très bruyant, nous avons été réveillé les 2 nuits sur 3 que nous avons passés, une à 3h du matin pour le bruit dans l'hôtel, une autre à 5h30 par les éboueurs. Aucun parking à proximité immédiate. L'hôtel est en retrait, il faut passer sous la voie ferré pour accéder à la plage. Les chambres n'étaient pas très propres, cheveux et poussière dans les coins. Toutes les boissons, eau comprise sont payante pendant les repas en demi-pension lors du repas du soir. La nourriture est une nourriture de cantine, loin d'un 4 étoiles annoncé. Pour voyager souvent, cet hôtel mérite un deux étoiles pas plus.

Un seul ascenseur, est tombé en panne pendant mon séjour, 5 étages à monter à pied. Le lendemain il a refonctionné et je l'ai pris avec la dame de ménage qui s'est arrêté à 2 étages, l'un pour prendre son caddie, l'autre pour en descendre. Donc 2 arrêts avant d'atteindre le 5ème. La dame de l'accueil antipathique et de mauvaise foi, sans compter que personne ne parle français. Seules les personnes de la restauration étaient aimables. Hôtel qui accueillent beaucoup de groupe de jeune donc très très bruyant, nous avons été réveillé les 2 nuits sur 3 que nous avons passés, une à 3h du matin pour le bruit dans l'hôtel, une autre à 5h30 par les éboueurs. Aucun parking à proximité immédiate. L'hôtel est en retrait, il faut passer sous la voie ferré pour accéder à la plage. Les chambres n'étaient pas très propres, cheveux et poussière dans les coins. Toutes les boissons, eau comprise sont payante pendant les repas en demi pension lors du repas du soir. La nourriture est une nourriture de cantine, loin d'un 4 étoiles annoncé. Pour voyager souvent, cet hôtel mérite un deux étoiles pas plus.

hôtel très bien situé, parking gratuit à proximité, propreté impeccable, repas très bien, par contre très peu de personne parle et comprenne le français et 2 chaines de TV en français, ok on était pas venu pour regarder la télé mais vu le temps de ce week-end difficile de se balader le soir, assez bruyant dans l'ensemble, insonorisation des chambres à revoir!!!

Es war im grossen und ganzen ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Hatten ein kleines Zimmer, aber es war alles vorhanden was nötig war. Ich würde mir persönlich wünschen, dass es auf dem Balkon einen Wäscheständer hätte. Reinigungspersonal ist stets bemüht alles ordentlich zu machen.
Toll fanden wir,dass wir bei gebuchter HP das Abendessen auch aufs Mittagessen tauschen konnten. Rezeption ist 24/7 besetzt und man fühlt sich sicher.
Abends am Pool wurde immer ein anderes Musikprogramm angeboten. Für gross und klein.

Stort og fint hotell med god frokost! Fin beliggenhet nært stranden og sentrum. Ikke så fristende å benytte svømmebassenget, da det som oftest var fullt av barn og ungdom som lekte med ball og gjentatte ganger hoppet ut i vannet.

A modern, clean hotel with a great location near the beach. Me, my husband and our 15 year old daughter stayed at the hotel for 16 days and we were very happy about our stay. The staff was super friendly and service minded and always smily. We stayed at the building next to the reception and this was a bit more quiet than in front of pool. We had half pension (breakfast and dinner) but we were able to choose lunch instead of dinner whenever we wanted to so we ended up doing this. All eating/buffet is indoor so we wanted to have dinner outside and Malgrat de Mar had many good restaurants to choose from. Breakfast has everything you want and there are show cooking where you can order pancakes, omelets and eggs. The buffet has yoghurt, fresh fruit, granola and bread. They serve free cava and wine at the breakfast. Lunch buffet is also good and there is a lot of options every day. Since it’s indoor it is quite noisy so would appreciate the ability to sit outside. There is a very small gym with a very few options. Our daughter bought a 10 day membership at a nearby gym for 50€. The cleaning is top notch and we had a lot of clean towels every day. Unfortunately there are no coffee or tea options in the rooms but since we read that in advance we brought a kettle and coffee from home which worked out fine. Air condition was very good and the bed sheets were surprisingly comfortable and good.

El personal muy amable y atento, sobre todo en el bar y las dos chicas de recepción de la noche, sobre todo la responsable, muy profesional ya qué fuimos a mostrar una queja sobre la comida y nos atendieron compre diendo nuestro malestar. Entramos para le cena y se nos desmoronó toda la buena imagen qué tuvimos hasta entonces. Una comida muy básica y nada qué ver con un ****. De primeros ensaladas básicas con quesos \"variados\" en los qué sólo había uno verde durante todo el rato qué estuvimos en el comedor. De segundos, patatas fritas, ternera helada, dura y se notaba qué recalentada, champiñones de lata, coliflor y poco más, postres muy básicos también, nada caseros, mi marido no cenó absolutamente nada.En el rincón de plancha, cordero y pescado. Al día siguiente el desayuno algo mejor y la comida nada especial tampoco. No se corresponde para nada con platos de 4*. Es una pena qué al final te vayas con esta mala imagen porque el resto está bastante bien para ir de fin de semana. Mi consejo: mejoren los menús e inviertan más en calidad. Uno espera comer algo más de lo qué puedes encontrar en cualquier bar de menú de 12€. Gracias

Доброго дня! Отдыхали в сентябре 2019.Что понравилось: питание, вкусные завтраки и ужины, много морепродуктов, мяса,
и прочего...голодным не остаться. Утром Брют двух видов, на поездку пришелся \"день туриста\", вечером в ресторане устроили шоу и олинклюзив , с раздачей изысканных деликатесов и вин, было приятно, спасибо отелю! Шумоизоляция норм! Сам отель тоже выглядит неплохо, до моря 7 минут. До меркадоны и карефо 20-25 минут пешком.Минусы: приборка в номере, под кроватью было скопление пыли и чьих то волос, за 4 дня так и не убрали, хотя просили, пришлось сменить номер...Оказался лучше, но тоже грязновато(((((( В целом отель за свою стоимость неплохой.

Dejlig Hotel i rolig omgivelser, nok nået mere gang i området i højsæson.
Kunne godt være mere variation i aften buffe, men stadig en bredt udvalg i buffen og åben til kl 22, så kan godt nå at komme hjem fra byen og spise.

Havde et familie rum til 4, men kun to stole, deres daglig rengøring og skift af håndklæder daglig virkede fint. Skal dog bemærkes, man må ikke tage deres håndklæder med ud til poolen eller havet, så må man købe et selv eller havde et med hjemme fra..

P plads nær Hotel, kunne tilkøbes, men ikke nødvendig. Havde ikke problem i side gaderne og der udover en stor fælles p plads 500 m henne af vejen som flere hoteller henviser til.

Deres ALL inklusiv , bør overvejes. Mange flere ting er med end vi regne med, incl flere drinks, der udover var resten af drikke vare med 50 % rabat

Hvis man ikke selv vil køre rundt, incl ind til Barcelona, ligger tog stationen 200m væk
